Title: Merit-based Governance or Consensus Mechanism
Post by: Ucy on December 10, 2020, 03:00:26 PM
I believe I have written a couple of posts concerning this matter, these two below (esp the number 2) should be part of them:
I will probably find others of my posts with related topic and update them here in the future then bump this thread.

1. ✔ A more proper way to vote in decentralized communities

2. Bettter Consensus Mechanism 2
(thread in the link below was in response to someone who complained that there aren't enough people participating in Governance or Consensus)  Link 👇

3.  ....

I strongly believe in merit/reputation based governance and consensus mechanism for decentralized crypto networks. Many "decentralized networks" are placing more emphasis on money-based consensus/governance and less on merit/reputation. They make it hard for average network participants who can't afford huge amount of money to be part of network consensus/governance. This makes the requirements for participating in consensus/governance difficult for most network participants while keeping full network consensus/governance in the hands of few

Before answering the question I did not click on OPs links I like to answer cryptoboss2020 post.

Merits can come all from you and each user you (and each user) will judge if the post has quality or for you it contains a good post. As simple as everyone knows merits are given limitedly.

When you meet the number of required merits for the next position for Jr. Member your rank will increase to the next one.

As you may already know when working on Signature campaign positions are important and higher the rank you will get paid more plus the merit/Smerit system was approved because too many accounts posting more/ spamming on different forums that are most likely none sense. Until this was approved to push users to post good stuffs and others will judge and give you merits.
