Is the snapshot allready been taken? The reason I am asking is since some crypto articles are a little vague. I thought it would be 00:00 UTC this night right?

I sure would expect the XRP will drop down to $0.24 less than an hour after the snapshot. Its the reason why XRP spike and why many had tried buying the XRP is all because of it.

I hope they won't change their minds that they will not distribute Flare tokens when XRP isn't inside their wallets anymore or else Spark is a bitch

I have read in several exchanges that you just need to wait for the completion of their snapshot and you're good to go. So it means, you can sell your XRP right after the snapshot is over. And it depends on your exchange, you need to check their announcements before you trade your XRP, or you will not be eligible for SPRK airdrop. I'm following this also as I have XRP in one of the supported exchanges, and planning to sell right after as I have the feeling that it will really go down after this snapshot.

I don't think that you'll lose anything even during this time when almost all alts are showing a great run towards making their new ATHs. XRP looks like being on a spree towards getting a hold above $1 if BTC stabilizes at some level. And I truly don't believe that Spark will be left anywhere behind, so a win-win. Just hodl after the snapshot because there's a possibility people will dump down XRP just to re-enter it a bit lower.

I am actually surprised it hasn't dumped yet, but I have a very high feeling it will dump an hour or 30 minutes right before the snapshot. The Reason being, not everyone is holding XRP for the airdrop. Some whales have probably realized a lot of profits and it's about time to cash out before other holders start dumping right after the snapshot.
I saw this kind of thing happen with the recent BCH fork event. It's all about psychology.

Buy the news and sell the fact ;) The whales and market makers know the market psychology and they will dump the pre-bought XRP to the new investors who late to the party as usual. The price will crash sooner than they will be able to place a sell stop order which will not be executed due to the natural volatility nature of the crypto markets.

They won't change their mind it's already a commitment for those who participate or else they will lose their reputation, their is no rule that you cannot sell your XRP after the snap shot is over they will become the top coin that did not honor their commitment so I'm sure they will proceed with the distribution.

Mind the time difference and I think the update has already begun unfortunately our local wallet didn’t support the update so I have no choice but to only watch the party. Anyway, enjoy on profit taking and know when to exit the party, the price didn’t move that much though.

There is some quite disturbing on my side because according to the statement of the binance so in this case, there is a chance that our funds do not credit right now if we already pulled it out within for example is 12:00-12:30 UTC?

I'm hoping they already snap with the time of 12:00 because it's too hard to wait on the market if they still hold with the market price of the xrp which is 0.52 right now 12:14 UTC after the 12:00 the price of the xrp rapidly decreasing and there is a chance it will go for another dump.

You  should have used an exchange that supports the snapshot like Binance, Kucoin etc. It's always good to be prepared in advance. There was a mini dump but the price of XRP seems to be recovering from it. Perhaps because Bitcoin was rising at the same time

I have no idea when to take snapshot. But I recommend that you sell your xrp after taking a snapshot. Because I think it will dump. If you want to keep xrp in your hand later, you can collect it after it falls. But if you want to make a profit on both sparktoken and xrp, I suggest you sell it.

It will surely fall, the hype on Spark is over and XRP didn't even reach the price they were expecting due to the hype. I hope holding XRP for the airdrop will be worth it. Only 15% of what users are holding will be released after the snap and the remainder will be distributed over the next 25 to 34 months.

That's true, if you hold your xrp in a wallet, the possibility that your funds to get trap is high.
We have witnessed the sudden dump in the price of xrp at exactly the time the snapshot. Many holders have sold their xrp right away without any hesitation.

I always knew that will be the end result after the snapshot has been taken, a massive sell off, it was obviously clear that it was because of the airdrop the price of xrp pump that high in the first place, I hope the spark airdrop will be worth otherwise it will be a waste.

It has been more than 9 hours of snapshots and the price of XRP continues to fall, hopefully the airdrop will be worth it later, even though only 15% will be distributed next year and more than 2 years for holders to get 100% of the results of airdrop spark.

Actually they only use The airdrop to create hype and increase the price of XRP they even give fake prediction of the price of XRP around social media platform that's why many believe that was true. It's only use so other holders and bankers can sell their xrp on top and leave the market after. I even think that they already sold their coins before the snapshot happen that why it's hard for the price to increase.

For sure xrp holders are glued in their monitors now and watching any moves in the market. It is expected to go down because of the hype of spark airdrop brought to the community and majority of people wants to take profit after the snapshot is complete. I hope spark airdrop will not dismay people who bought xrp at higher price.

Luckily the price did not fall at an instant. In the past few days, XRP is just going with how the Bitcoin price goes. If Bitcoin doesn't rise today, surely XRP will hit its rock bottom. I'll just finish this hype and I'll buy XRP again. Lets see how the price will go after this event

The snapshot already happened today the 12th of december 2020; at 12 am prompt (utc). And more importantly, it means that as at the time of the snapshot (i.e 12:00 utc) you must hodl ripple either in your storage (wallets, cold storage etc) or the supported exchange platforms for the airdrop. I conducted my own at the okex exchange where i held my ripple; and i took profits already too from ripple. Its  a win win for me

I noticed a little sell off between 23:00 and 23:24ish UTC (not sure if people where confused about the snapshot time or it had something to do with time zones). Ive sold some of mine (with a bit of panic) at 23:06 UTC. Ive bought myself in again on 23:58 UTC and sold again around 00:03 UTC time because there was another mini sell off exactly at 00:01UTC. So anyhow if I am correct and/or lucky (whatever spark may be worth when its on the market) Im "Snapshotted xD" with a loss of around 50 dollars but I made a profit hours before the snapshot the same day. So I will see what will be dropped between Q1 and Q2 in 2021.

Don't worry about the price of the spark since they decided to control the release of the airdrop token into tranches distribution. I'm not expecting that spark token price will fall below XRP price. The real problem here was people that losing on there XRP holdings will have a longer waiting time to recover that loss using there spark token since it may take a year or more to get all the airdrop token. But the good news is the price might skyrocket by the time they get 100% airdrop.

It's expected to happen many whales already sell their coins before even the snopshot started.

Only small portion will be distributed in Q 1 of 2021 if im not mistaken it's around %15 will recieve in Q1 the other will take place after a year distributed it by portion to all holders of XRP before the snapshot. If you are not storing your xrp to supported exchange you will not recieve any fee token.

As I mentioned in the previous post, I think it will also experience a decline. Sparks tokens will be distributed to so many people that I don't think it will make a significant amount of money. As you said, it did not come at the expected price. But I hope I am wrong and everyone earns money from this business.

Yes you're right. yesterday there was a dump in the market maybe this is because of the effect of those who fear there will be a big dump and sell it. but today XRP is still stable at 0.5 $, if this continues until bitcoin dominance drops, there may be a price increase for XRP

Its been 2 days now but still no update from the exchange I'm holding lol.

Though ripple is still in bad shape so i can't decide yet to sell it all or just keep it for a while.

This airdrop don't even bring Hype to the ripple value instead the Bull od November is the one who brings it all to Pump reaching $0.75 at the most.

The snapshot took place at the exact 00:00 UTC last December 12, 2020. And Ripple (XRP) was already ready to make transactions after the snapshot happened. And just as expected so many withdraw their XRP right after the snapshot which caused the huge dump of XRP price, but it's recovering a little now.

December 12th has passed, and the airdrop spark is over, the impact that has been on XRP was very clear,
before the snapshot happened, the XRP price had an incredible pump, 100% more, and now that the snapshot is over,
the XRP price has a dump 17 % during this week.

I agree. XRP is indeed one of the cryptos that deserves to be stored in the long term. I didn't expect to get spark tokens. I have been holding XRP for a long time even though there was no token spark airdrop event. What I'm hoping for is increased mass adoption leading to price increases on XRP

What a fabulous operation, congratulation. Almost every time it is pump before snapshot, and down after snapshot quickly, but soon stable.  The exchange i keep my XRP on it is not any of news about this Xrp - Spark snapshot, so pity for me.

I think that these rules will be changed more than once. But it is obvious now that under the terms of airdrop, only 15% of the total amount will be credited at the time of creating the snapshot. The remaining interest will be calculated based on how many XRP coins you will continue to hold. Thus, those who immediately sold XRP coins after the snapshot can not expect to receive spark more than 15% of their deposit.

Spark has disastered the XRP price I didn't expected such a big drop after a pump many were eager to see the price may go upto 1.5$ but its going down day by day, I think the airdrop was the core reason for this.

Once after the airdrop happened people started to sell their holdings, XRP is one of my favorite asset and now it has disappointed me as the price is dropping.

The snapshot took place on 12th - December - 2020 at 00:00 UTC so  even if you sold your coins after 1 minute, you will receive part of the airdrop. But their airdrop isn't going to be immediate of course

He is maybe trying to tell that it was expected to see a big dump and going down of price. Yes, XRP goes down but not that much. People who bought months ago is still in profit. This only shows that XRP is not much affected by the airdrop. XRP might show sudden pump again in the next few days. The hype already ended and XRP might be recovering.

What exchange you are holding XRP? Binance? I am also the same as you, there is no spark I got so far. I also don't get the information if the reward distribution is postponed. Does anyone know about the reward distribution for XRP holders in Binance? If someone knows, please tell me about it. I need your help guys.

Expect that xrp needs some correction. Though it went down almost 20% from the price but maybe Spark Snapshot has something to do with the drop because to think that many holders of xrp suddenly sell off their xrp after flare network snapshot causes the dump price of xep.

What's the panic though? We've been benefiting from it until now. New ATH has been reached so it may actually hit another again soon.

did you read spark FAQ? It will not be the same like another airdrop coins when these coins will be credited in your account instantly. The reward will be credited into your account gradually. That needs a half of year to complete the distribution for spark token.

It is a small drop if you take into account how amazing its growth is in previous weeks. XRP rallied and increased a lot in past few weeks and 20% correction is not a big one.

Its rally is far beyond any expectation of XRP holders. The price of this rally is still far below the all time high of XRP in 2018 but I think XRP enthusiasts should satisfy with this rally and I hope they already enjoyed by exit. Some can get profits by investment in bottom months ago but some could have opportunity to cut loss after many months of holding and waiting.

They can cut loss, wait for the 20% correction to buy up and wait for the price is lower 20% than all time high to exit. It is a wise strategy if they know all time high is always very strong resistance. 20% below all time high can be more easily reachable.

You just need to play smart, the market for this coin is active so better to work with your benefits.

This dropped gives you opportunities to place your position, if you think or if you believe that there's chance to gain from
this project, buy now and wait for the value to pumped up. it's not the end or something the project will bring you good

20% is no small drop my friend, and remember the 20% was based on the price 7 days ago and not the actual peak price. If we consider the drop the peak price, It's almost going to negative 50% and the drop hasn't stopped yet while other coins haven't shown any significant movements.

There's nothing to do with fear, but certainly the price increase of xrp will take dominance in the next few days and bigger investors who were risk taker will have to grab this opportunity. More analysis will come out with different thoughts out of the current chart, but still grateful that I still see more traders actively can afford what they'll going to lose. As xrp recovery is in the process, don't let your emotions ruin your perspectives and always ignore possible panic that could destroy your positiveness.

don't be too optimistic guys. Take a look at today's XRP prices, and think again. use at the indicators you trust, you'll see all the signals go down. this is no good, if you're too optimistic. Maybe XRP is still worth holding in the future, but for now there is more reason to sell than to hold.

Surprised to see the XRP today is bottoming again after the fork and people are still optimistic that it will go to $.90 again with no more significant news to bring the price to a hype again? I doubt it, so probably the best time to sell is that during when it peak at $.90.

But then again, those who bought at the current price will not make any money, so this is a lesson learn that after the hype, everyone should liquidate because it's a clear sign that a dump is incoming, which eventually happen to XRP right now.

Spark snapshot have been taken and you can check your wallet is available to received spark token or not because I got link and just put your xrp adress then will show hoe many spark coin do you get. I don't know about when spark coin distribution started because depend which one exchange do you hold your coin because not all exchange have the same time for distributing spark token. But just received 20% reward allocation at the early distribution of spark coin and you waiting more than few month to received complete it.

Almost all that hold XRP on there personal wallet and exchange that participated on the drop have gotten it and will be distributed next year, I have read that your just going to received 15% not 20% of your total token at network launch and the rest will be distribute in increment for 25 months.

The market is already supported so that after the distribution they did not drop by 50%. Those in a drawdown should not be upset, keep it in the medium term, there will still be a good profit, the ripple is very good in the news background.

I guess the only advantage xrp has over all other crypto's right now even bitcoin is that is has joined the ISO 20022 standard. Not sure if I am totally right but If governments decide for whatever reason to ban any crypto or make it illegal to trade (Which I believe will NOT happen, but you never know) then if I am correct xrp would be considered a legal option to digitize the worlds fiat currencies in the form of CBDC's. I'm certain that xrp (love it or hate it) will reach somewhere around $3.80 again (based on history pricing, when was it? Q1 2018) but when? I can't tell you. If it will go as high as $10 at some point I dont know, $100 I do not ever see that happen (maybe someone could explain how the formula works with the total money supply and the total amount of xrp). I am trading xrp now and then, although I hate the coin (Read: banks). Also It needs more utility maybe then it would be able to reach as high as $5 maybe or $10 at some point.

Can't predict how the technologies will evolve and what eventually works out.

after the snapshot ended, it seems that XRP is still having trouble recovering,
and Thankfully, XRP is now able to show that this coin is really following the trend direction of Bitcoin,
a 5% increase makes XRP able to get out of the bearish zone, hopefully it can stay at $ 0.5

Today's rise in the price of bitcoin inspires optimism among XRP holders. I didn't increase my XRP deposit this morning, expecting a lower price, but I'm already regretting my decision. It was a good opportunity to double your deposit. For myself, I decided that I would start selling the coin from the $1.35 mark.

XRP coins are one of the top coins, because there are smart ideas about the crypto market so we can say without snapshots.

XRP still has great opportunities for the future, even though it is currently a very risky coin to invest in. We can wait a while for XRP to rise up. I think this is a very good opportunity to collect some XRP.
