Title: Trading Platforms w. funding / lending
Post by: shlee-C on December 11, 2020, 07:35:14 PM
Hello,

I like using the funding feature on the Bitfinex platform, where users can lend cryptos or USD to others while receiving a daily reward.
I was wondering if there are more trading platforms offering such a functionality.
Could you recommend some?

cheers
Dan

Well, as far as I know, you have at least 2 more options: Poloniex and Binance. There are others as well that offer lending or stacking options but I don't use them, so I can't "recommend" them or express an opinion.

Do you want just centralized exchanges that have the lending/funding feature or you are open to any other platform that does the same such as BlockFi?
Any way the exchanges I know that have such a feature are;
  • Binance
  • Kucoin
  • Okex
  • Gate.io

You should not trust small platforms. The thing is that you have to accept any given rate only on the big platforms such as on Bitfinex.

Also, just remember that the huge bitconnect scam took away the lenders money.

I would not trust Bitfinex about 2 years back but now it is trustable as it has such a strong cryptocurrency in its pocket - USDT.

are there also smart contract based lending platofrms that do not need trust in a company?

There are so many of them. Have you ever heard of DeFi?
Most of such platforms are built on ethereum blockchain.
