Title: Fake Bobby Lee on Instagram Running a Scam/Involving Famous Actor
Post by: ChiBitCTy on December 12, 2020, 08:08:19 PM
Bobby Lee (Owner of Ballet Crypto/ Former owner of Chinese Exchange BTCC /brother of Litecoin creator Charlie Lee ) is being impersonated on Instagram, which he does not have.  I and several others have been approached by Fake Bobby recently.  When I stated I knew Bobby and Charlie and that he was a scamming pos, he blocked me instantly, naturally.

Now it looks as though he's gotten a famous Chinese Actor/Model (1M Followers) to post/advertise his current scam.  Most troubling of all is the actor is not allowing for comments on the post.  Not sure if he's in on it or being duped or what.  I ask everyone report both of them please.

yes, this guy has been messaging a lot of people - hopefully you reported it. I have had him contact me on several variations of the name - what amazes me is how many follow the fake accounts.

It's so easy these days to create an account and then just take a well known name. You will be amazed how many people will fall for this trap. Can you not send the provider / website in question to take action in circumstances like this? I am amazed at how many such companies allow these accounts.
Far too many rules regarding privacy and fundamental rights and all sorts of other nonsense. Thus, this scam can easily continues unfortunately.

I have let ballet know on several fake ballet accounts on both IG and Twitter. I even had one guy call me and claim to be Charlie Lee (Bobby Lee's brother)
