The link of the fake website is: Code: https://get2xeth.com/ Apparently, the scammer has made a Medium page at his website with the Upbit profile illustrated there with information regarding a huge airdrop called mutiplexa given by Upbit official account. Don't know if it's due to internet connectivity or due to jurisdiction. But the domain name quite enough to realize that there is something suspicious going on. Also, there are a few fake replies that they are getting return (most probably double amount).
Anyways, that's not new for us. We have seen many similar cases previously. We can't do anything except create awareness. I believe most of the forum users aware of such scam attempts except for brand new accounts. So hopefully at least this forum users should get scam from such as scam methods. Because there are so many new investors in the market now, scammers are creating these websites to easily trap those investors. The amount of talent that these scammers spend on such activities would have been very beneficial if they had used that talent for good. It's good to see that you're warning everyone about this website in advance. |
