Title: How high do you see Ethereum going this market cycle?
Post by: thecodebear on December 14, 2020, 04:51:56 AM
Assuming this market cycle comes to a close at the end of 2021, how high do you see Ethereum going? $100k seems to be the main target for Bitcoin, but what about Ethereum?

$4000? $5000? Higher?

Seeing the current scenario if the movement goes well then we can see above $1500 very soon.

$100K and $4/5K prices are just speculation. BTC, ETH can reach there but not in 2021. If it reaches 100K in 2021, what will happen in 2030? I expect $30-40K for BTC and 1K-1.5K for Ethereum.

100k is an impossible thing for bitcoin to be reached next year. 30k looks possible to happen but if you are aiming for 100k and you should able make all of billionaires to invest in bitcoin. ethereum should touch 700 or 800 as its next target.
We must predict it based on the movement that happened with the market. Bitcoin is not even surpassing 20k and how is it possible for bitcoin to be reached 5x times from its current value?
You must use your sense dude.

^ maybe if Bitcoin is priced at $ 100k then we will see Ethereum being priced at $ 3k - $ 5k. changes in the price of Ethereum are strongly influenced by the price of Bitcoin. What I'm worried about is the gas fee which will definitely be expensive if Ethereum is priced at $ 3k - $ 4k.

Today after Bitcoin finally Broken the ATH of 2017 hitting $20,400 value ,Ethereum also break once again the $600 level in which good news for all expecting the High rise .

But suddenly any sign of getting close to 4 digits again is far from happening and looking for 2021 is just another speculations.

Maybe i will just wait for what will happen, but surely i will sell before the year ends and buy again after the correction.

bitcoin reaching $ 100k is still tough. For ethereum the best target is $ 1000 I think it can be achieved that's realistic and there are still opportunities for ethereum

If ethereum reach 100k in 2021 then Bitcoin must be more than a million each?damn that's too fast than what we are looking for.
and besides there is no faster movement than that for our market cycle now.

Look at how much the value today,Bitcoin Hit finally the 20,000$ mark while ETH is $600 so far from this speculation.

We'll have another chance in future but not this rush please,Dont mislead people .

I would say the logical part would be going towards 1k first, the market is great and all but to talk about 5k before it can even reach to 1k would be not serious and we need to be serious about these type of topics. If you really really want to make money, just get 32 eth or more and just stake it, eventually you will have money and keep reinvesting your profits to it to keep making more profit and remove all other logic from your mind.

However if you really want to trade it, and buy right now to sell later to make money, know that 5k is not possible right now, it is not even at 1k right now. First we need to let bitcoin go up as much as it can, and then sell it when it stops and move to ethereum, which will start to increase and after that we can talk about only 1k, not even more.

The gas fee really made me so frustrated since the last time I had my trading, it definitely give me stressful experience because I only got small gains. I wasn't able to achieve much higher gains compared to those days that entire cryptocurrency market of 2017, went so fruitful. Eth only got small transaction fees in times of year 2017 'til 2018, but these days it seems to be different, so I won't expect changes will soon happen with eth, once price increase commence fees would also be increasing badly.

I'm only thinking for around $2k-$3k for Ethereum. But if it could go as high as $4k, $5k and so on. That's amazing and incredible and wishing that I still haven't sold by that time.
Ethereum should be around $1k now when bitcoin has reached $20k once again. But alt season usually comes after the great cycle bull run for bitcoin and that could come around next year.

The market cycle may be more precise on Bitcoin, but I started not to believe it on altcoins, especially on Ethereum.
Why? Because of this new all-time-high price of Bitcoin, which on the previous all-time-high of Bitcoin, around $19,000 at around Dec 2017, Ethereum tops around $1,000+. But look at now, still, around 50% from it's all-time-high.
I am still looking forward to this that it will happen more in the future.

The first intention for most investors will sell their ethereum at its all-time high $1400, after that it depends on the market condition. As of now, a few weeks ago bitcoin has reached its previous all time high but its price just falls because some investor sold their bitcoin and wait what will happen.

Gratefully, the current situation has pushed many people to hold bitcoin because of the coronavirus. The investor will see the economic development from some countries if they face a bad thing such as they must create a lot of money as a stimulus to get their economy back up and running as usual.

This factor will make bitcoin price up since there are many people who consider that bitcoin is a safe heaven place so that they can save their money into it. And that is what has happened now, bitcoin price up because there is a condition which can make many people buy bitcoin. This will happen to ETH too, they (investors) will deliver to an all time high first and wait for the next possibility.

$100k and $4/5 is speculation. you are right. So is $30-40k and $1-1.5k haha. Any guess is a speculation. Doesn't mean your very low speculation is better than higher speculation. In fact you are on the extreme low end. $1k-1.5k for ETH?? LAST market cycle it hit that top of that range at over $1400. It will be farrrr higher in 2021. $30k-40k for BTC could be passed this spring, with plenty of price gains left in the near term. $100k is a very realistic target for 2021, and I think most people who follow the market would agree with that. For ethereum obviously it's not just gonna stop at its old peak, but go several times higher than that, thus my question still stands.

In 2017 there was the ICO boom, which probably isn't quite matched by the DeFi boom this year and besides there are all sorts of layer 2 tricks these days to offload the transaction volume from the Ethereum chain so the demand impact is different. Inflation is higher than BTC (used to be the other way round before 2020 halving). On the other hand ETH2 is locking up a ton of coins - 1.5 million and counting - that also impacts the price. Different ecosystems, different price paths between BTC and ETH.

I can imagine ETH slowly rising as more coins get locked up in ETH2 until withdrawals become available and/or staking gains fall enough so that it's no longer lucrative.

I can imagine ETH slowly rising as more coins get locked up in ETH2 until withdrawals become available and/or staking gains fall enough so that it's no longer lucrative.

Let's also not forget that Eth was only at $700 even a couple weeks after Bitcoin peaked and started falling. Eth went from $700 to $1400 during January 2018 as Bitcoin was crashing. So it isn't surprising to see Eth price trailing Bitcoin price by quite a bit when it comes to comparing them to the old peaks from the last bull run. Eth was stuck at $300 for several months and then stuck at $600 for a bit until right at the end of the last bull market. If something similar happens we could see ETH only at like $2000-$3000 when Bitcoin is let's say peaking above $100k, and then when Bitcoin starts crashing ETH shoots up to $5k. It isn't at all surprising that ETH is trailing BTC in price movement.

ETH also isn't being picked up as much buy institutional investors as BTC, so that too will lead to BTC taking the lead until the retail market starts FOMOing in to both BTC and ETH perhaps during the second half of 2021.

As you say, DeFi also isn't as big a short term boom factor as ICOs were in 2017. DeFi will be far larger over the long haul though. Even just in the next year, between DeFi and staking there should be many millions of Ether locked up.

when bullrun reaches its peak, Ethereum will break ATH. that's what I believe, to this day. no matter what the target is for bitcoin and other coins. but ethereum won't be able to fly any farther than ATH. because ethereum is not at its best yet. the ETH 2.0 network is still not fully operational.

I will first look at it in term of bitcoin value before the parabolic. At the moment except for the staking Ethereum has nothing or news to drive the price. We only rely on Utility use e.g Defi, transaction fee, smart contract etc that has always been. The staking will make the coin scarce, Over 1% of ethereum is staked at the moment. I expect Ethereum to climb toward 0.1btc (2500+) in the first part of the year and probably make a higher climb after the parabolic market towards 0.15btc (20000+).

what if it's 10k?
is that too much ?
if indeed bitcoin is trying to reach 100k in bullrun this time. ethereum 10k is not a dream. because I'm sure ethereum is worth 1/10 of bitcoin. if bitcoin can hit 100k ethereum will definitely hit 10k sooner or later.
10k is still too much just for Bitcoin to Hit 100k,remember when Bitcoin Take the 20,000 value EThereum only took 14 hundred meaning that is only a not even 10% of that 20k so maybe at least 5k is enough for this cycle?
or else there must be another set of whales to Bet for Ethereum platform to perform this sequel .

Not every time Bitcoin will be pulling these altcoins.
They have their own market and will still depend on demand and purchase.
The last time it went to the $1k mark is because ICO is hyped. Lots of investors are buying Ethereum in exchange for the preferred ICO token they want to buy.
Now. Do you see that happening?
There is just an update for Ethereum 2.0 but it doesn't mean sales will be as high as 2017.
It might become a slow phase after $800 and then dump since stakers will need to profit.

I do not think it is realistically possible for etherum to grow in price up to 4000$; in reality with the pace at which bitcoin is experiencing in uptrend in price; i think etherum shold be able to go as high as 1000$ or 1200$. Its a long year, and with several uncertainties surrounding crypto currency; its best to wait; while waiting, always do your own research.

Utility and being reliant on it is not a bad thing,,, the only thing to see if is that utility organic? that is,,, are people only using it as a hype phase or is it something seriously viable for the long term future? This is the problem I see with Defi,,, you cannot deny it has a use case and demand now but very difficult to see if it is the same situation next year.

People are putting too much hype into the ethereum and they forget if ethereum is not yet surpassed its ATH and it will not be going even bigger than its ATH rate. Ethereum needs to achieve its ATH before it will be growing even more. Just like bitcoin after it has achieved the ATH and it was growing even higher than before. The same thing will be happening with ethereum too.
People are losing their minds to give a sense of prediction for ethereum.

I like that guy's $20k prediction haha.

I think DeFi is here to stay and will only grow. DeFi seems likely to be the "killer app" of Ethereum. Other uses for Ethereum may become relevant in the long term, but for the time being DeFi is going to be the major use case. The days of thinking Ethereum is going to be a "world computer" that takes over the internet is over, in the same way the days of thinking Bitcoin is going to replace fiat is over. These have been replaced by Bitcoin being store of value and global reserve currency, and Ethereum being a significant part of the future of investment contracts for the finance world.

Still though I don't see DeFi and staking being big enough in just the next year or so to put Eth at $20k like oloajulo said. 2025 possibly, but 2021 DeFi will be an important but still relatively small space for Ethereum, and staking might only take up like 15% up Ether coins by that time, whereas I think staking could grow to like 30-40% of supply in the years to come as big money investors come in to Ethereum for both the superior price gains compared to stocks combined with the staking rewards which can take the place of dividend yields.

what about breaking the ATH?
it's a realistic target. Bitcoin has already done this and only ethereum and other altcoins haven't. I think that when the positive trend this time reached its peak, the altseason had already begun. so just waiting for ATH to break. and now that ethereum price has reached 600 $, only a little more to be true.

Title: Re: How high do you see Ethereum going this market cycle?

I think 1000 dollars is a good place, 1200 is not bad neither. Those are the kinds of levels where I think ethereum will stop and until that moment it will have the momentum on its side for sure. I am not saying it will happen today, but for the next one year we have so many improvements on ethereum that it looks like it could potentially get to those levels.

With eth 2.0 I do not think anyone doubts that ethereum price will go up, of course it will take a while to get there but right now it is nearly at 700 dollars, with some more momentum it could reach to 750 or even 800 dollars, with ethereum 2.0 that could sky rocket to 1000 or even 1200 dollars as well. That's at least realistic ones, sometimes it makes crazy moves and it could reach to all time high price too.

Title: Re: How high do you see Ethereum going this market cycle?

Just this run? Or do you mean in general? Because I think with the ethereum 2.0 we are going to break over the all time high by the looks of it, price increases a lot easier than I expected, it falls down but than goes back up a lot easier and making 10-20% increases are a big deal at this price level, for example if bitcoin increases 20% today, that would put it over 26k price level and that would be a huge deal, same goes for ethereum too if you ask me, going 20% higher would mean over 800 dollars and that is a big deal.

So, ethereum seems to be favored by the public and bought so much, with the proof of stake there will be tons of people who will attack ethereum and buy as much as they can, in tens of millions of dollars level, probably over a billion dollars collectively just to hold it and that is going to change a lot of things.

Bitcoin is different with altcoin. Bitcoin has got bunch of institutional investors who are helping the price of bitcoin to push another ATH in this year while altcoin pegged to the bitcoin to reach its yearly high rate.
ATH can't reach the ATH easily like what bitcoin does. Both were different thing.
People are using altcoin to speculate the market dude.

for now, i just hope ethereum price returns to its ATH price. however, even when bitcoin price hit a new ATH, ethereum price didn't hit its ATH or come close to it. For now, my highest expectation for Ethereum is over $ 1500. however, that expectation is far from being at current prices.

There's a strong indication and possibility that it could happen, Ethereum always follow the price of Bitcoin, by the time Bitcoin hit $100k, Ethereum will be somewhere between $10k to $15 or even more because at that time Ethereum will evolve into something great and will fix many issues that confronts them.

I dont think ETH will get to that price in 2021 because beacon is implemented maybe 2 years from now, i think 2021 is the time for old altcoin such as LTC, Dash, Monero etc. But when we are at 2024 maybe eth will be at $5k
beacon chain already implemented and it's alive right now but the problem is if it's only the early phase of update and that means the update is not yet fully implemented.
The beacon chain is live since December 10, it can also be called the staking of ETH and it the pathway for the network upgrade, it also one of the important phases of the ETH2.0 and can be considered the early phase of the network update.

BTW so many people can't be patient to see the full update of ethereum 2.0
Various parties have been creating various speculation about the impact from ethereum 2.0 update.
It guesses it because of the ease it will generate for ETH users and the reason why people are impatient with the full update is because of the network upgrade date postponed by ETH team on different occasions.

If things go on like this for a bit more while, with more technological improvement we could probably see all time high on ethereum as well. It is definitely the best altcoin in the market and everyone should own a bit of it. Plus when the time comes and staking with it becomes possible, it is going to be very lucrative to hold it. Not only because you can stake with it, but because everyone will want to stake with it which will increase the price of it as well.

So, not only you will make money by holding ethereum, but you are going to make money by staking ethereum and that is double profit, plus if you live in an economically bad nation like me, dollar will gain value over your fiat and you will triple profit from it. Do not worry if you do not have 32 eth or more, you could potentially put it in staking pools places like binance will probably have and stake with a lot less as well.

for now, i just hope ethereum price returns to its ATH price. however, even when bitcoin price hit a new ATH, ethereum price didn't hit its ATH or come close to it. For now, my highest expectation for Ethereum is over $ 1500. however, that expectation is far from being at current prices.

Ethereum is also performing well with the increase in the price of Bitcoin. This is because eth has come a long way from the time of the last sudden market dump to its current position. Many like you are optimistic about the future movement of eth. So given the current performance of eth in the market, we can expect eth to break the new ath soon. $1500 is the next target. I don't know if eth will be able to fill this target.

My target for ETH is only 1500-2000$ until the end of 2021. It's possible to have this if for example Bitcoin price also hit his target of 50k-100k by the year of 2021 y. Even the price of bitcoin is in that high,  I  believe that  ethereum price will not beme higher than what my prediction  , it hard for Bitcoin to pull up other altcoin they need to do it by their own ,so even Bitcoin is in that price we will never see the increase of other altcoin ,they need to make his own name and not just because bitcoin price increase.

Still unknown as it will going to depend from how investors will support this run and make another strong bullish momentum,
everything still possible and managable.

With Bitcoin still moving upwards and already broked the last time high, the chance for this project to follow the lead and also
gain new time high may take palce, it will be a matter of time.

Yeah. If investors are confident about the next movement of eth then we must see a good position. Bitcoin is advancing at its own pace, which is a really incredible run.

The price of eth also depends on the price of bitcoin, so the up trend of bitcoin here will give eth more opportunity to move forward.

Too early to say but this one does have potential. We should always consider on predicting prices which are bit realistic rather than on going to those heights without any basis.

But overall if you do look at on the price then it does really shows that it cant be beaten out easily by other projects in the market. Market cycle? Lets wait on what would happen.

It did really made some updates but doesnt really change that much but at least we do see again some 600 bucks in price. Reaching 1k or ATH isnt really that too far off
but this will really need some push further.

I am not sure, a price of 4k for each ethereum will mean that ethereum will have roughly the same market cap that bitcoin has now and I simply do not see it especially when ethereum is still more than 50% below its own all time high.

It seems to me more likely that we could see a price of 2500 to 3000 for each ethereum and that is if bitcoin actually reaches 100k at the end of 2021, which will be hard because as we know governments are probably not going to like that so much institutional money is coming to this market and may try to curb that tendency with more regulation.

Yes, the price of ethereum is more than half of its ath value. This doesn't mean there is no growth with ethereum, but the hard reality is about the entire altcoins. Almost every altcoin were of the same growth. Maybe we can expect the growth of altcoins to progress when the bitcoin market starts to decline.

With comparison to its previous ath, it has the potential to touch $4k+ value with ease. The update of the ethereum network might bring big change. Probably the year 2021 will be big for ethereum and few other altcoins in the market.

Lol 3 digit is far impossible  for now, Bitcoin showing dominance meaning investors are on The single side now.
But in next year at least a thousand Bucks  may be attain By Ethereum ,because the effect of the 2.0 version is on the move now.
Maybe this will took at least Mid of next year or at least new year.

the market continues to rotate, and eth price still ranges between 600-640 $. and in essence, if the demand for eth continues to increase, it does not rule out the price will reach 1500 $ to 2000 $. and vice versa, if eth owners sell a lot of their assets, the price will continue to decline
it will not easy to attract the mode demand. We don't know when the next phase of ethereum update will be implemented and that makes a lot of people are feeling boring and they are moving towards the new assets. This time the only chance for ether to attract more users from XRP as it was facing a serious problem with US SEC.
Ethereum will stay at this rate dude.

The first high target price for ethereum will be $1,000 because it will be difficult to reach this month or next month, which is in the next year. I guess ethereum can reach $3,000 or even higher price, but that will depend on how high the bitcoin price will increase later. With the new update of the ethereum project, I think the price will still need to wait for a while before seeing the price start rally. Perhaps, $5,000 can be the next ATH for ethereum in the future, but I am not sure about that because the future will be a mystery to us.

many expected this happen to early but that's wrong because Ethereum s just charging engine and will ready to Run anytime soon.

I only had two altcoins now and that is XRP and ETH that still on my hold and no plans of selling.

Assuming that the price of Ethereum can reach thousands of dollars is very possible, and it requires a separate movement from ethereum, not driven by the price of bitcoin. in fact, if ethereum's current price is equivalent to 0.15 bitcoin, ethereum's price could be as high as $ 3530. Unfortunately, when bitcoin price goes up, ETH / BTC price decreases, and that makes etheruem price weaken. if the ETH / BTC increase goes up, I assume the price can reach over $ 1k.

The more we expect is the more we fail, ETH is still in process of another progressive move ,releasing the version of 2.0 is the Main weapon of ethereum platform to at least get closer to the Increase of Bitcoin.

So seemingly in the next months this will take effect and may consider to be high grading the market capitalization.

ETH already proven to be the Second coin.

So let us not Force things when it can be sorted little by little.

above $1000 is sufficient. ethereum is not what it used to be and things are not too pro ethereum. so it's difficult even though bitcoin can go up to 50k or even higher. ethereum will be only slightly affected by the increase. So I'm not really hopeful even though bitcoin is in a bullrun. ethereum is in its transition to ETH 2.0, and is now only in its early stages. if waited for it to change completely, I doubt this cycle would still last until then. so $1000 is a pretty realistic target.

ethereum for now seems very difficult to reach its ATH, unlike 2017 when bitcoin reached its ATH back then $19k and we know ethereum reached its ATH also above $1200
things are different now when bitcoin hit $24k its ATH, ethereum only hit $664. So in my opinion a fair price for expectation etherum is $1500

It will be more than enough for ether but even if that will be only breaking its ATH and that's quite impossible to happen. The people are only investing in the promising coin. Just hope when there will be a big problem in ripple and the ripple investors will be moving their portfolios to the ethereum as the best replacement for ripple.
Ripple has a chance to be the next dead coin. Coinbase was also trying to discuss whether this platform will try delist ripple or not.

I think 100k is too much. It's not that I'm underestimating the capability of Bitcoin but that's too huge to expect. However, Ethereum has a big potential to strike higher in the future but it will still depend mostly on the price of Btc. It could reach $1500 or more but it might also drop down anytime soon.

If we assume that in 2021 we will see a flight to the moon, then for ETH this is an opportunity to reach $ 4000. I think this is the maximum price. However, now I see a strange situation, BTC has already reached and stepped over its previous maximum, and ETH is still standing still and is far from the peak of its previous maximum. Of course, this is alarming and indicates that there should be an alt season that will bring the price of ETH at least to the peak of the previous maximum, and then only a flight to the moon.

Yeah, I agree not unless if ETH would start halving just like Bitcoin there's a tendency that the price might grow that much. The only thing that people are expecting is if ETH would reach $1k together with the bullish trend of Bitcoin but it's far from reality yet. We will just have to wait more years to come to actually see the price of ETH break the $1k resistance.
In a sense, staking will reduce the continuation of Ethereum on the market by at least two years, and this fact will already allow reaching a certain Ethereum deficit. Of course, it's a pity that Ethereum does not have a limited amount, like bitcoin.

Depend on how succeed ethereum 2.0 is. We are all know that ethereum has a problem with gas fees and they need to fix it ASAP. If they can successfully migrating eth to eth 2.0 ( pos ) and fix the gas fees maybe ethereum will reach another ATH but not $4k. Maybe arrounf $3k or something.

Ethereum was just hype by the rise of bitcoin for now, but we haven't seen it rise significantly, so we will see in the next few years what would be the effect of ETH 2.0. it's a long process IMO, people would not jump right away, but I would say that ETH is a great investment in the altcoins market.

We can see ethereum will increase to $4k, $5k, or other high priced, but we need to wait for that time because ethereum now is still lower than $1k.
There will be many times for ethereum to start rally following bitcoin price, but we need to be patient and it is better to prepare our ethereum to be sold at a high price.
With the update from the ethereum project, it could attract more investors who will buy ethereum, giving more opportunities for ethereum to increase the price step by step.

The speculator will see the monetary improvement from certain nations in the event that they face something terrible, for example, they should make a ton of cash as a boost to get their economy back going not surprisingly. Ethereum needs to accomplish its ATH before it will be becoming much more. Much the same as bitcoin after it has accomplished the ATH and it was becoming considerably higher than previously. Something very similar will occur with Ethereum as well.

Its really hard to think how ethereum goes on. It is really slowly moving upward direction. I thought ethereum will reach its ath same as with bitcoin due to their eth 2.0 launch. However, its struggle to pump hard just like with other altcoins. Yet, eth is 700 dollars I am always positive for it to goes 1k to 2k dollars in next year. Let us hope that bull season will long last so that ethereum will surpass its all time high price.

As all the focus is on btc and many new and interesting projects taking place in 2021, I think Ethereum will lose its hold over the markets and the pump will be very limited for it, may also not break above $1k because it has not shown any strength in going higher in this bull run and btc managed to >triple its worth now. Looking like a dilemma for the altcoins rally, Eth is still holding its key support area very tight.

you will be wasting a lot of your time if you are only waiting for the ethereum 2.0 to come and then fix all of scalability problems. there's no guarantee whether the ethereum 2.0 update to fix scalability will be true as what already expected before. 5k is quite a lot to be achieved by ethereum next year. You should wait until it can surpass ATH and we can start to create a sense prediction about the future price for ethereum.
that's it.

This is what I think as well, during the recent growth we have seen that the market dominance of bitcoin has in fact grown instead of going down, this means that alts despite their lower size and their greater volatility have been unable to keep up with bitcoin which should be very worrying for altcoins because a great deal of the money that will come during the next months will be from institutional investors and they do not care about any other coin but bitcoin.

And there are many reasons for that, to begin with bitcoin is the only coin big enough to satisfy their needs, second bitcoin is the only coin that you can really trust as a store of value and finally bitcoin is the only coin that is actually used regularly in order to buy products and services, so if anything I think the bull run in bitcoin could intensify while altcoins remain stagnant.

I don't see how Ethereum hitting the interest of the users. I'm not so positive that its price will more on the bullish trend, I'll take $1000 is near possible.

If we consider its trend by now, it is certainly impossible to make such a huge strike. The recovery is so slow, well, it probably because there is a huge competition on the market, and people might give more share into Bitcoin rather than risking their money to ETH.

1900 dollars is actually too much but do you think that was still small ? you see eth is strugling climbing back 1000 dollar .

Assuming this market cycle comes to a close at the end of 2021, how high do you see Ethereum going? $100k seems to be the main target for Bitcoin, but what about Ethereum?

$4000? $5000? Higher?

It would be best if $6k will happen in the near future, we will embrace that possibilities. Bitcoin will also spike more often, next year will become more exciting for entire cryptocurrency market. In contrast with btc, ethereum would also break from bondage of crashes.

Eight hundred dollars will be cool for ethereum this season comparing its performance now to that of 2017 when its percentage increase in price was more that that of Bitcoin.
And just a few days later this growth was achieved by ethereum, the speed at which the market is moving is impressive, however at the same time while I think the growth that we are seeing for bitcoin is sustainable on the short term when I look at ethereum I see a coin that is just growing out of association, it is not growing out of their own merits and we now that such growth has a tendency to disappear rather quickly.

So while some may be tempted to buy ethereum in order to try to get even larger gains at the same time I think this is a terrible idea since you could easily lose more money if the price goes down, if you invest in a bad moment in which we see a small correction for bitcoin that could translate itself in a massive crash when it comes to the price of ethereum.

The rise is still continuing for etehreum and will continue to rise for the next few days, i am sure of it because the bull run is still happening
my speculation  to hit $ 2k in the near future would be very achievable for ethereum

I could see $2000 in the next two months. Maybe $5000 by end of year.

I was almost so sure that it will hit 1500 USD mark this year and it's too close to that point now. I just don't know about the new high, it's so difficult to predict that.
Just in case I don't want to be disappointed this time I set my expectations low. If it goes to 4-5k mark that would be a nice surprise for me. If it goes back from 2K I don't complain.

It is very hard to predict the cryptocurrency market as this market is not regulated by any central body or any other statutory body. Hence, the price is totally dependent on the market forces like the demand & supply of that particular coin. So, as Ethereum is a good coin and it is also the reason for the several crypto births on its blockchain again it is the top2 coin so we think ETH must see growth by following the BItcoin path and may reach the level of $3000 to $5000. Again if this level persists for a longer time then the price goes more than $10,000.

and the Value is still inconsistent , Having that High prices won't be that much expected .

Having this All Time High gives positive approach to Ethereum supporters , but that wasnt enough Until new sets of Investors trust this coin , then that would be the sign of another Milestone and the 4,000 or even 5 will be reachable..

ETH has to break it's current ATH first before we can speculate that it will reach $4000 or $5000.. What will happen IMO is ETH will go crazy like what we are witnessing on bitcoin now, but the question is, will bitcoin continue to pump to affect ETH's run in a positive way?

If ETH reached $1500, then that might be the start of a big run and probably that time bitcoin is already trading at $50,000..

it's hard to predict at the moment, everything is bullish, it's unstoppable.

Well, nowadays quite a bit of speculation is possible, even if Ethereum can hit the price of $ 2k. anyway, for now, I'm only thinking about $ 1500 and that becomes the new ATH for ethereum. well, it's just that this situation only occurs when bitcoin can maintain its price. Honestly, I hope that Ethereum returns to its current low price so I can collect it again.

This is the first time the price of ETH has touched $1000 once again after the major correction and when the price went down around $45 i never expected the market to rally like this even though they were planning to upgrade the consensus to POS but the market is viewing this as the opportunity to make money and so is the reason you are seeing millions or billions being invested in the market taking the price over $1200 and i am expecting this rally could take the price over $2000 in the coming months.

eth ath was 1 eth=0.014btc. on 2018 jan

now btc is 40k dollar. eth must be 5600 dollar for the new ath high in btc.
i think after the bull run of btc, eth will become 6000 dollar in short time.

The Ethereum price must go above $8000 when it will break its previous all-time hit price. If the price persists at this level for a long time definitely the price of Ethereum will be $20,000.

I guess there's no next year and bitcoin will possibly stay around 30k rate as the correction will be coming again soon.
I think that 1300 has become its peak price that can be achieved by ethereum. I don't expect ethereum can go even higher than 1300 at this moment. this year looks very bearish for crypto. Bitcoin started its dump and in another point the whole of crypto was also following it. Another old story will come again

This is actually probably the most accurate comparison I have seen in a long time;)

We all have to remember that Not only we have to compare values in US dollar, but also with altcoins we have no choice but to compare with BTC. And at the moment,,, let us be honest. No way for ETH to become 5000 in this coming time frame (while hoping BTC stays the same in price).

On the off chance that you outrageously need to bring in cash in the end you will have cash and keep reinvesting your benefits to it to continue to make more benefit and eliminate any remaining rationale from your psyche. This factor will make bitcoin cost up since there are numerous individuals who consider that bitcoin is a protected paradise place so they can set aside their cash into it. Furthermore, that is the thing that has happened now, bitcoin cost up in light of the fact that there is a condition which can make numerous individuals purchase bitcoin.
