Title: Bitcoin Black - Legit or not ?
Post by: laser212 on December 14, 2020, 09:34:43 PM
Hi Everyone cant say i'm new to crypto but haven't had an interest in it in a long time, so i come across this BitcoinBlack coin and was thinking about buying 100k coins in its presale.
The thing is this coin dosent strike me as legit for a few reasons.

1. The Facebook reviews are nigerian prince style scams.
2. looks like a rip of of NANO (whatever coin that is not sure) going by their github they are just copying and pasting code without even changing.
3. wallet looks shite

So anyone here know weather or not its legit if it is i might risk 150 squid on 100k of it.
otherwise what other new coins should i be buying and why the hell is the Antminer s9 tripled in price in last 2 weeks is there a new coin that can be mined that makes it profitable again  ?

This is going to get a lot of hate but if it says Bitcoin in the name, and it's not Bitcoin, it's probably a scam. If you are new to crypto you need to do more research before making your first investment.

never heard of this one before. it sounds like another of those bitcoin forks which are obvious scams (all of them, I consider Bitcoin Cash a scam too, some people may not agree with that). and if all those points you mentioned are correct then this one is even worst than others. and they are running a presale too to grab people money (most other forks didn't do that at least)
I would not buy this. and I don't advise you to do that either.

I knew that Bitcoin black, the project claimed to beat or surpass bitcoin but I knew that's a big joke, I earned 3600 of this coin through airdrop and the wallet app is available on playstore too but there is no development or updates anymore, it's probably a scam, I can't even sell the airdrop I earned, it looks abandoned

Bitcoin black was a scam coin. there are so many people in quora are saying it's a scam coin too. Anycoin that was using the name of bitcoin to catch the attention from the buyers can be catagorized as scam coin too.
There will be no more bitcoin and bitcoin is the only one that will rule crypto.
The name of this coin reminds me with so many scam bitcoin fork coin like Bitcoin diamond or bitcoin gold.

A coin that's tailing a popular existing coin such as BTC usually a scam. It's not a new thing that some people created these kind of coin mimicking bitcoin just to trick people into thinking their coin worth as much as the real deal.

It kinda reminds me of that time when it's popular to create tokenized erc20 version of popular coin which in turns just become massive pump and dump game. I'd recommend not to invest anything.

If you don't buy bitcoin, you can buy some altcoins. I don't tell you that altcoins are good for you but if you really want to buy altcoins, please only buy altcoins that don't steal the name of bitcoin and make their names as:
Bitcoin Gold
Bitcoin Pink
BitCoin Black
Bitcoin Cash
Bitcoin Cash Vision
They are never good altcoins as they steal the source code of Bitcoin, and try to steal the name of bitcoin.

How Many Bitcoin Forks Are There? You will be surprised!!! (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5221882.msg53737261#msg53737261)
To newcomers: make sure when you buy bitcoin you are buying bitcoin! (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5294976.msg55716728#msg55716728)

Kidding aside, the copy-paste code without changes is already a red flag. No matter how legit their Facebook review is and how shitty their wallet is, that plagiarism of codes definitely doesn't save the face of the actual project. Definitely a scam.

I never heard of that coin, so I do not suggest you buy that coin, even if the price is too low for now. No one can guarantee if that coin can increase or beat bitcoin in the future. If the developer claims that their project will have more benefits than Bitcoin, they need to prove it to the crypto world, and we will see it later. Maybe you can select the other coins that will have the potential to increase in a short time or a long time, so you don't waste your time buying the wrong coin. But that will be up to you, we can only suggest you like that, and the rest is up to you.

If you have felt something like that, then it is no longer possible, but it is clear that black Bitcoin is a scam, because how can they beat Bitcoin while itself cannot be traded and there is no further development, not to mention the supply for such an Airdrop. big, this is very funny in my opinion and they are dreaming too. ;D ;D

Any project that's has Bitcoin name in it is mostly scam and use Bitcoin popularity to increase their demand and adoption  and fooling people that they can become Bitcoin someday . If I were you i will invest directly to Bitcoin than other project that use Bitcoin name. You already have idea with their supporters which  is mostly Nigerian and supporters of many scam and MLM coins .

Well, you have laid your reason already so why keep believing in every ICO projects? I never want you to get regret soon but if you really want to invest then think the basic rule of investing. Invest money you can afford to lose. In this case, I do  ot believe that it will going to work out. It does only have a good name but I rather not believe in it because it just name after bitcoin it doesn't mean that it will be a good project. Reminder that there are many bit name project and most of them are not successful.

A coin doesn't have to be legit to get pumped, just look at the top gainers https://coinmarketcap.com/gainers-losers/
However, I don't like Bitcoin Black simply because it is racist :P

Just play with money that you can afford to lose, DYOR & DWYOR.

That's a scam. The coin is only being created to be the scam coin. it can't even be called as crypto. it's a scam scheme that created by the scammers.
OP has mentioned all of the points that strongly proven that bitcoin black just another scam coins. This project has so many redflags and did you watch the thread dude?

In my opinion, Bitcoin Black is not clear because they even say that 36 billion coins are already in circulation which means that there will be more coins to be mined. I think you better avoid investing in bitcoin black and invest in other cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin, ETH, XRP and so on which already have a good reputation and are well known in the world.

very good advice and it is necessary to do because as long as we cannot know the actions of new coins it is clearly very risky to buy them, besides being able to provide reasonable proof. all new tokens are better to pay attention to first and don't be too hasty to make transactions. Moreover, we know that currently bitcoin is in a period of quite high prices, it is better to invest in bitcoin or ethereum as well as the best and top-ranked altcoins at this time.

I think what he meant was quid. It's a slang term for Pound. Look at the quote below

Quid is a slang expression for the British pound sterling, or the British pound (GBP), which is the currency of the United Kingdom (U.K.). A quid is equal to 100 pence, and it is generally believed to come from the Latin phrase “quid pro quo,” which translates into "something for something," or an equal exchange for goods or services. However, the exact etymology of the word as it relates to the British pound is still uncertain.

He probably has listed an extra S and make it look like squid. Lol.

@OP - Correct me if I'm wrong, please.  :D

In my opinion, using bitcoin in the name often a trash coin. Bitcoin cash is also trash. If you want to invest your money in bitcoin black, try to avoid it. Invest your money on tezos is better than this shitty unknown coin

This is absolutely seems scam project I don't understand what the scammer team of this useless project are trying to prove from the last two years they're just trying to create hype so they can make people fool. It will be wise decision to involve in this project in any way and we must try to avoid talking about this project the lesser we talk the sooner this scam will be disappear.

100K units for a coin that is not in the coinmarketcap?
I remember I did the Airdrop and they never paid.
Apparently not a serious team, do not trust false projects.
If you want to mining go to ETH 2.0

I can remember there was different version of this Bitcoin black. It's not something you should invest into. Majority of project that adds Bitcoin to its name are mostly scam, there was many of such project in 2017 and gone now. No one will fall for such again.

Any coin having such name usually don't make it while some do. You see coins with BTC and Ethereum name or any existing project hardly survive it while some do. I will suggest you put your head down anyways and study the project very well. Ask questions and also follow them on social media . Don't rush to invest please. Becareful before you loose your funds

It might not be a scam in a sence, but a money grab.
Someone clones some coin, renames it, promotes it, people buy in, they dump.

Wait a minute, yeah that's a scam

Of course it's a common practice among fake product manufacturers to put a very similar but different logo on the merchandise.
This  way they can't get sued or forced to stop selling and some clients will get fooled and buy fakes thinking it's the real thing.

Correct. We really have to first analyze a new coin that has emerged which offers tantalizing offers before investing, especially with the momentum of the bitcoin price starting to rise quite high, many scammers have tried to take advantage of this period to get money from investors. therefore must be careful of new coins before making the wrong decision

I would not invest in a coin that I do not think to have a good future. I don't know about bitcoin black, and I do not hear about that project.
I prefer to invest in bitcoin, ethereum, as the other members suggest because that can have the potential to increase.
You should be careful with the project with bitcoin's name inside the project because it can not be a legit project.
You should search for the other coins than to invest in that coin, but it is up to you. That is your money ;D

Take time to process the decision, find any further details, and check the particular aspect of the project. The doubt is understandable as the official website of Bitcoin Black contains inadequate information. Therefore, you should assess the reviews and opinions of other people. Also, you can check these threads as it can possibly help you decide a better decision.

Unfortunately there are tons of bitcoin forks everywhere and they are rarely ever good, I understand that people may think it is actually decent and they may make some money from them but most likely outcome is losing money over long period of time. Do not get me wrong I am not against bitcoin black specifically, I do not believe that bitcoin cash nor BSV is good neither, they are both very bad and over long course of months or even years they will go down too, they haven't so far but that doesn't mean it won't in the future neither.

Hence why I believe it is quite useless for me to invest into ANY fork of bitcoin, which includes bitcoin black too. Try to avoid things that are trying to promote themselves based on bitcoins popularity and the price of it and adoption of it.

I never really heard about the Bitcoin Black and I do hope they would have just added the Bitcoin name by thinking they would get befits implementing such a strategy. This kind of project nothing but copycat uses such strategies to gain popularity among the crypto market.

In order not to regret it later, it is better to invest your funds in proven projects. Fortunately, today the crypto space offers a huge number of options. I don't understand why take the risk if there really are worthy startups that are worth your attention.

I see the project as a big scam as nothing is put in place to avoid multiple accounts at start making people to acquire so much more. And the funniest of that is that they could all be moved immediately into one account. Who does that?

Another thing is that many people are now shut out of their accounts and can no longer have access to it.

The crypto industry is the name of an industry where investors invest their assets for an uncertain but impenetrable goal. Here new coins appear and are sold at a wide price, sometimes even falling in value. Bitcoin Black is literally legit but stable knock. As a result, there is a possibility of creating a place of distrust.

There have been many projects which used or attached Bitcoin to their name in order to make it look like they are legit while in fact they are scammers using the name of Bitcoin in their project in order to attract less informed people, ask for funds and then exit scam. If it is not Bitcoin, then it is not Bitcoin, forget about whatever idea they attach to it, always know that and do not be deceived most especially for all these new projects springing up here and there. I don't know a great deal about this Bitcoin Black project but it will probably be a scam project, because if you check, they will likely base their idea on what they will do better than Bitcoin then asking for funds. In my own understanding, use the funds in more better altcoins like Ethereum or even in Bitcoin itself.

This bitcoin black is just like every other coins that patch it's name to bitcoin to attract the audience, they have nothing that big to offer and it's not even bitcoin fork like BCH, there was a time when the airdrop was ongoing, I don't bother to join because I see no reason to, today there is no more development about the project, probably abandoned at last

I don't know enough about this currency, So even if the price is very low, you will not be advised to buy this currency. No one can guarantee that if the coin can increase on beat Bitcoin in the future. If the developers claim that their project will be more profitable than Bitcoin, they want to provide it crypto world. we will all see it later. But I think you should not waste your precious time on Any wrong coin. We can only give you advice and the rest is up to you.
