Title: What 3 Exchange Platforms Would You Want To Launch On First?
Post by: TeamAsdra on December 16, 2020, 02:10:48 AM
So, if you had your very own token and were planning to launch in the much hyped year of all years 2021 (can't be worse than 2020, eh?), which 3 exchanges would you love to launch on first?

You can consider all the variants such as regional advantages, listing price, trading volume, community reputation, realistic expectations etc.

I'd love to hear your opinions here and quite frankly, they may be very valuable!  ;)

I will go Centralized exchanges, DEX like balancer and uniswap are good but still not preferred to CEX for me, also DEX are now more dangerous for newbies than CEX because cloned tokens can get listed on DEX without anyone investigating on the tokens,

1. Bithumb
2. Bkex
3. Coinone

Also it's not that good to go straight on top exchanges first, it should come later, I have my reasons for that

I prefer DEX. DEX are way more better than CEX exchanges. they are easier to use, no signup requirement and no kyc. that cloned token listing is a big problem so If I would launch an exchange my first problem to solve will be eliminating and stopping those clone tokens.
I like a exchange like Idex exchange and there are not any clone (I didn't see). I think swap and dex are different and clone tokens usually target swaps.

Those are 3 very solid choices.

Out of interested what are your reasons for not going straight to the top?

I will go for Kraken Poloniex Binance, since these are 3 pillars of crypto exchange industry, trusted and with good volume.
Another strategy (but it depends from the "nature" of the token) could be also target some regional specific market (like some exchange with specific regulations in East Asia).

It depends on how much funds you have for listing fees. I've heard that Binance charges 1 million USD. If your project is an ERC20, it's best to list on free platforms like UNISWAP, Flame.Exchange, LogicDex etc. Uniswap for example has had larger daily transaction volume than Coinbase on occasion. Put that money you would be spending on listing fees into liquidity for the pool and earn trading fees.

One of the reasons most team considers before listing on any exchange be it top exchange or other good exchanges is the listing cost. But however, assuming listing cost is not a determinate factor, then I think it would be best to get started from other good exchanges which can also be referred to as "medium exchanges", thus owing to this, I would go for Bithumb, Gate and Probit. By listing on these exchanges first and with good working products, a project can gather enough force or volume to move up the ladder that is, having the capability to list on top exchanges. A good number of projects which went this path later did well at the end.

What do you really want?
If your cryptocurrency does not have a good reputation, even in the best markets you will not have volume.
But if you want a good exchange and earn a good reputation, I recommend:

* Binance
* Poloniex
* Huobi Global

I'll choose the top exchanges and they are:

  • Binance
  • Huobi
  • Kucoin/Coinbase

These are just my references but I think that there are other exchanges that could be on my top list but it's just me. Those exchanges would be the dexes but even up til now there's not that much traction to them. If the community will start supporting dexes, it would be one of the top choice by many. Uniswap would also be part of it. But for now, those are my choices.

The exchange also determines investor confidence. I've heard several times the disappointment of the community of a project because the exchange that was selected as the first listing didm't do what it promised. Investors also weigh the trading volume as it will affect the demand for that token.
Most DEXs don't selectively list prospective and shit tokens, so projects should at least plan on being listed on a CEX as an assessment of the quality of the project itself.

Obviously it depends on my budget if I have enough budget to pay the high listing fee of some big exchanges then I would choose Binance and Huobi in cex and finally in dex which I can't ignore I would choose Uniswap because the dex has made a good reputation among crypto community and listing my token on uniswap may be worthy decision.

Some instaswap are decentralized platforms too, for example uniswap, DEX would have been perfect but it has some unavoidable flaws like high gas fee, fake tokens in disguise and real tokens, but it's more secured than centralized exchanges but centralized exchanges has the best experience, volume and liquidity, DEX haven't beat this yet.

if i am the project owner, i will definitely list it on big exchanges. and I'm sure everyone will think that. So if there are no issues with the terms and my coins can list without a problem, I would go for Binance, Coinbase and bithumb. with these three major exchanges I believe my coin will be in the top 100 crypto with the largest market cap.

these three exchanges have a great level of confidence. their reputation is beyond doubt. so I have no other reason, especially if all was done before I started the ICO / IEO. I will definitely get a large development fund.

Well of course it's either on Binance which is one of the most known exchange and probably the coinbase or blockchain which is one of the I consider very strict with listing coins most of the coins they listed are high quality ones so if you see coins there for sure they are worth investing for.

Binance
Kucoin
Bittrex

That's three exchange is enough to make a project hype . The question is are you able to follow their own requirements it's hard to be listed there. even you have that enough BTC for listing they can easily denied your request.Focus first on your project before hunting an exchange.

If I personally choose an exchange to list my token, then I will choose :
1. Binance Exchange
Binance is the number one exchange at the moment and of course the volume of Binance exchange is very high, so this will allow my token will become popular and my token volume will increase too;

2. Coinbase Pro Exchange
I think Coinbase Pro is the best exchange to make my token price increase very high, because every token listed on Coinbase Pro exchange, the price will definitely increase very high;

3. Coinone Exchange
Coinone is one of the most popular exchange at the moment, because the volume of Coinone exchange is increasing very high every day, so it will provide a lot of profit for my token if I list on Coinone exchange.

Binance
Kucoin
Uniswap

I prefer both centralized and decentralized exchange. Because many people prefer centralized exchange and some prefer decentralized exchange. I will try to cover both categories. I will choose Binance and Kucoin for my regional advantage.

If your currency is well programmed and has a future, all platforms will scramble to list it without taking any fees from you, but you need the currency to be well programmed and solve a real problem in an innovative way.

Other than that, you need to pay a lot of money in marketing first and then for the listing fees, if you do not have enough cash, you will not be able to keep the price of your currency high (continuous and increasing demand) and thus it will die over time.

There is no exchange in the space currently whether CEX or DEX that compare to Binance, so any projects should strive to be listed on Binance. A project with strong community  and good incentive to list on Uniswap, another exchange I feel is  CoinBase.

1. Binance
2. Uniswap
3. CoinBase

Yes, you're spot on there. Listing prices do depend upon their belief in the project and the cooperation between the two parties. They will usually also offer paid marketing services to their own community which is also price-variable dependant on the project.

In order to list any denomination coins, it is not necessary to list them in one exchange first. It is better to list one or two good centralized exchanges. The trade volume of good exchanges is much higher so the investor is interested to invest there. Better centralize exchanges, Binance, Huobi, Kucoin

Yes, that's right, but for better centralized exchanges there are several kinds, not just three kinds, so I will add other centralized exchanges like Okex, MXC, Bibox and Bithumb, they are all better centralized exchanges in my opinion, apart from what you mention it.

Traders like binance because of it's friendly interface. high exchange volume, lots giveaways and free promotions rewards. and many other reasons.
In my first post. I stated that I prefer DEX exchanges over CEX. but if I had to choose a CEX exchange I would go with Binance. another cool feature of Binance is it allows you to trade, deposit and widhraw maximum 2 BTC daily without doing any KYC.
so if you are a small trader and also don't want to disclose your personal documents binance is best option for you.

I think in 2021 and further, Decentralized exchanges will be trend because the user will holds their private keys and control their money themself and the possibility of hacking is very low if compare with Centralized exchanges. And I am aiming some of DEXs like Serum and Bancor

Binance and nothing else because that is where the majority of the investors are playing and the fact that they dont require KYC to withdraw means the chances of finding more investor is great than any other centralized exchanges.

It very hard to make transactions on DEX right now because of high transaction fee, imagine if the token isn't available on other centralized exchanges it will be very hard for someone like me to use DEX, I can afford much ETH for gas fee, transaction fee on Centralized exchanges are easier on us than that of DEX

binance, kucoin and cointiger. for me with this 3 exchange capital I think it will be easy to make the token price soar and public interest in buying this token will be easier
i am agree for binance and kucoin but not for cointiger. most of coin listed in this exchanges have low quality except major coins. i have bounty token which is traded in cointiger but unfortunately there is no trading volume or atleast low trading volume. maybe the third exchange could be uniswap for DEX or maybe Okex and Bithumb for CEX.

Yes, but for the problem of withdrawing without KYC I think it can be done on other exchanges too, but when it comes to large numbers of visitors such as investors, it's clear that Binance is the best at all times.

To be frank with you, the current bull run is an indication that bitcoin and Ethereum will remain the only long term profitable coin. Ever since the bearish market in 2018, 99% of the altcoin has not recover back to their ATH not to talk about setting a new record. From experience, no matter how much you are willing to spend on getting your token listed (if some exchange like Binance will even be willing to list) if you do not have a product that are frequently sourced after by users, your coin will just be like those regular pump and dump coin and with time become dead and get delisted from the market. However, if you have a solid project, the best to get listed are top exchange platform with lot of active traders such as binance, Bitfinex, Okex etc.

For any project, their first dream would be to get listed on Binance. It undoubtedly have the most volume of trade and investors and almost all of it's IEO are instantly filled. There are many other exchanges that claims great volume or spectacular IEO performance but I can't verify their claims. Kucoin is another popular global exchange, it was hurt by the recent hack but it's back on track now. Another famous exchange for launching would be Bittrex with it's professional traders.

At this point if I were to have any type of project of my own, I wouldn't really care about any exchanges at all, I would just go to dex route and swap route and that would be enough for me. Just be listed at uniswap and all the things similar to it, that way people could provide liquidity as well, and it would look like there is a huge amount of market for the project I created and nothing more, with the money I have I could provide liquidity myself and that would allow me to make some profit while also making my coin look bigger, that is a great deal.

Obviously that would require a bit more technical skill before you can create such a product and a lot of marketing to get it heard, but at the end of the day I would rather do that over trying to get attention from binance or similar level exchanges to get listed and beg them for attention to survive.

If I would like to create my own cryptocurrency, then of course I would like my cryptocurrency to be traded on the highest quality and most popular cryptocurrency exchanges and, as for me, the most reliable and successful cryptocurrency exchanges for listing are binance, huobi global and most likely kraken.

OK, understand, but it would be about your users, about building something of value, and do you think that's currently possible on DEX only platforms?
