Have you got Screenshots of your order history/can you get them and post them? We don't have much information to go off and I don't think you can short with binance margin (so you couldn't have accidentally done that).

If you're not comfortable sharing the Screenshots here you can try contacting their support who will be able to tell you the problem. I didn't think limit orders cancelled if the price went above them though?

Mail the support to check your transactions in detail.

Your orders could be hit by sudden peaks/downs due to high volume and low liquidity. I have a MA bot specially designed to catch those for profit, but always there is somebody else on the other side.

Please first check your order history. My guess is part of your limit order got filled, and you had no idea about it. You probably thought all of it was automatically cancelled. When trading especially with margin or futures, always keep your eyes wide open and cross-check or else you can easily make a loss.

I remember when I didn't keep a keen eye on the mark price and got liquidated within seconds of opening a position. I didn't even have a chance to create a stop loss order ;D

Bitmex taught me if you expect volatility try to set your stop before your limit/market if you can - it pays off even if you miss a price because of the volatility just spot the problem faster next time or get a script that sets both at once.

I dont understand why you still insisting to do margin trading when you didn't understand well the essense of it. It is more complicated than the normal trading FYI.

Those limit orders were actually filled immediately. You short sell but price goes up making your entries liquidated.

Here is a video that states a good explanation of Binance stop limit functions and use. It was actually explained the differences between stop limit, stop marrket, etc.

Liquidation is depended on your leverage and choice if Cross or Isolated to make a clarification.

Cross trading - You are putting a specific amount with specific leverage to prevent liquidation the Binance will get to your total futures wallet.
Isolated trading - The specific amount will get liquidated still it depends on the leverage.

Again when you are working with trading always set a Stop Loss also

Last Liquidation was happend when I was sleeping.

Avoid this kind of habit if you are not confident with the market movement, there is a lot of things happen in just a few hours of trading.

My advice set good leverage, choose a between cross and isolated, set a stop loss and don't sleep when you trade.

Question.

Let's say for example that I forgot to set a stop loss and the liquidation price has been hit? Let's say I have a total balance of 405 XRP in my coin margined wallet in futures derivatives trading with a margin of 12 XRP. Will my total balance be emptied from 405 to 0 or it's just the margin amount of 12 XRP will loss?

Also, Is it applicable to use cross margin if you have multiple open position with different trading pairs? Let's say for example that I have an open position with 100 XRP margin, and another with 0.03 BTC margin. How does the cross margin works in this particular instance?
