This is what we all have been waiting for, and this was serve a celebration. This has not just proven that history repeats itself but today it surpasses the 2017 ATH. This was so impossible to think of because despite of the current pandemic that the world was facing today, bitcoin did make it to the $20000 and this was incredibly amazing. This is it, and hopefully will continue even the year 2020 ends.

Bitcoin crosses $20500 setting up a new All Time High. This is only the beginning of a new All Time High and we can't really predict what's gonna be the next All Time High.
Everything is going positive about bitcoin and this only means that bitcoin will keep breaking the All Time Highs consistently until a major correction occurs in the crypto market.
Congratulations everybody for showing faith on bitcoin and being patient passing through the long lasting dump (2018 - 2020).
We have come a long way and we have much more to go .  :)

It's really nice to be part of the history for the second time, well the long wait is really worth it for all the users who bought at peak last 2017 I really think they would start earning now or maybe some of them sell them a long time ago. But for real Hodlers I really think they really earn good profit.

This is what we have been waiting for after 2017 and this is a great and extraordinary achievement from bitcoin. So maybe investors who have bitcoin under $ 20k will make a huge profit today. drink beer for those of you who are lucky

Having found bitcoin around late 2013 or early 2014, I have to say I was definitely not sure that it would ever reach these levels..not only just price but mass adoption as well.  The fact that big finance is on board now is absolutely amazing and shows how truly far bitcoin has come.  I think there is still some work to be done with the second layer and lighting network, but we are without a shout of a doubt on our way.

Another happiness to all holders of bitcoin. Congratulations to all bitcoiners another ATH reached at the middle of December 2020. I think it will go beyond $20k before end of this year. New ATH record high in the history of bitcoin!

Where are the haters who told Bitcoin would be ZERO? It's become our habits create FUD/FOMO, but Bitcoin is running its own way as I said always. I am really quite surprised even during the global pandemic Bitcoin has been showing very positive movements at all. I don't know what will be the next ATH, but those holding since the last ATH due to sudden drop, at least their funds have recovered. We can say anyone shouldn't regret after bought Bitcoin at any price. Because we have seen it would recover anytime.

i wonder if anyone has spent the time to dig out some of the historical topics similar to this one. a topic i would be interested in is the one where people are complaining about how "expensive" bitcoin is to buy because its price is high while it is worth something like $10 to buy a whole bitcoin.
i remember similar topics from when price was $1000-$2000 3 years ago but i haven't seen any from before i started.

This is a good sign and I also hope 2021 will have a lot of fun in the crypto market. Bitcoin will stabilize and increase in price higher, investors and projects will be more successful.

I also think the same having this ATH this year will give a good sign that we can expect more in 2022 or before that year started. It will increase adoption after breaking it all time high with new record i am expecting the 25k$ by the end of this year is possible and other investors that lost interest investing in Bitcoin will be back after hearing this news . It's good sign for all newly investors to enter the market this year.

I am not sure this "fun" will be the same for all crypto currencies. meanwhile bitcoin has touched this new ATH ripple and stellar has gone down... I am not sure if there is any relation, but generally speaking these two markets are moving differently. BTW today is another historical day for bitcoin, and 2021 will reserve some others good news!

Actually, $20k is still too close to the previous ATH point which I think is prone to a sharp correction.
Apart from that, once again this is another proof that bitcoin really has long-term prospects and can even improve itself amid the global economic crisis. I think bitcoin is the only currency that can survive after its founder abandoned it.

While I would agree with this most of the time, we need to take into account the specific circumstances we are in, this is something we have been waiting for 3 years, the community has fought against all kind of prejudices and FUD during that time, so I think it is natural that people are getting carried away with the number of threads being created, eventually I suppose that many of them can be consolidated in a single one by closing some of them or by the mods combining all of those threads together.

If Bitcoin stay above $ 20k this will make Fomo come again, and don't forget about altcoins,
altcoins can fly if bitcoin dominance drops, if I observe, bitcoin prices are still waiting,
because bitcoin dominance is still above 60%.

Twitter world is also exploding, as #Bitcoin is trending right now. So I'm not surprised that we will get another rounds of social and mainstream media attention in the next couple of hours because of this historic feat we've witnessed today. But just be careful though, there's a lot of this so called bitcoin giveaway in twitter.

And with reaching a new all time high, individual, corporate interest are going to grow as well. As for the top price, not sure, for now I would say that bitcoin has no ceiling with the way the price is moving.

Really exxited to see the future moves of bitcoin after $20k. It will be more of a potential and future value of cryptocurrency. but one thing for sure it will definitely change the view of peoples who don't believe in the bitcoin

Today bitcoin has made a new history reaching its ATH price. This has made 2020 an unforgettable year for Bitcoin. People who have been thinking bad about the year has now got the way to breathe. Reaching $20000 is a long term growth, and people who invested during the early days of the year when bitcoin was around $4000 will be reaping the profit of all time.

Well, your prediction might get achieved. The price doesn't stop increasing last night and the price might reach $22k a few hours from now after some correction will happen. That's right that this might be the opening door for some people and companies to invest in bitcoin. The 20k mark posts are everywhere on my social media, This can make people trust bitcoin a little bit but this rally won't last long I think.

I'm also optimistic about it, however, volatility doesn't care what we think or want, it can be negative sometimes.

The price of bitcoin is moving higher without showing any signs of weakness and it has broken $21k for the first time in history and it means that institutional investors are moving the market higher and we might see the price breaking resistance with ease. I was expecting the market to have a correction during the holiday season but the market reversed unexpectedly.

21K actually as of this moment. I never thought actually bitcoin market could move so fast jusy like that. I can't believe that bitcoin will grow more as time pass by as I only here thoughts or read the thoughts about but now it is a clearer picture to see bitcoin proving the thoughts of others that bitcoin is a good hold for long term. Probably 5 years from now bitcoin can go up to 30-50K$ per btc in the future.

It is true that bitcoin today is achieve one of its new and most awaiting moment, reaches $21k for the first time in its history of existence. We all know that this day would come for bitcoin. We might be clueless when this day would come but I guess the true is that bitcoin as the passed years it surpass its own achievement. Bitcoin price makes a fast rally now, and the price now hit $21,800, and $22k is on the way to break. We might see another surprise from bitcoin again if the situation still is like this, and maybe the price can break more than $22k. We already make a big profit from this moment, and I am sure that we want more profit. You can join the parties anytime you want, but be careful if you want to buy or sell bitcoin at this moment because we will not know when it will get a correction.

If all things continue being positive then chances to see much higher barrier is indeed possible.

Price for 1 Bitcoin is now $22,058 on coinmarketcap.  It is easy to think there will be some kind of correction of below $20k.
But then again the new all time high price was broken on solid volume.  I think we find a new high plateau going forward.

I knew it! Bitcoin will never fail to hype us again because he already did it in 2017-2018.

I know that a new ATH will be reached by bitcoin as I trusted it with my whole heart. I really never doubted bitcoin due to its volatility in the market, this is the best time to tell the whole world that bitcoin is profitable in the market and it can really change someone's life once handled and managed properly.

In just 24 hours, it has risen from 19,000 to 23,000.
Those who used to buy Bitcoin at ATH in 2017 have seen a huge profit today.
I don't think they have any resentment towards Bitcoin now.
For those who sell their holdings thinking that Bitcoin will never cross ATH again, there is nothing but regret.

We used to be in a bull market this years which was confirmed when bitcoin broke it's 2019 high. When we also broke the all time high we entered the FOMO grounds. Uncharted territories.

It's going to be fun to watch how this develops and if bitcoin will once again explode into 5x gains. This is going to require a lot of fiat money but is by all means doable.

At last, history was created. I was eagerly waiting to see touching $20000. But Bitcoin not only touches $20k. It surpassed $23,000.

My hype drained out waiting for it, but meh it's still nice that I had earned something from waiting and holding. Congratulations to anyone that were hodling and finally got their 20k dream come true since 2017. :)

Surprisingly, bitcoin's price exceeds to it's $20K price before the end of the year of 2020. I think a lot of people are happy about it because they already recover losses from last year of 2018 and have been able to gain more profit since bitcoin's price hits $23K. But it is still scary to buy and hold a bitcoin while it's price is high because anytime bitcoin's price could go down instantly, that is why I tend to watch it every hour.

Bitcoin price hit 23.5k dollars and I believe that there are still to come. It seems like the bull run will not finish very soon. But in my opinion, we could see a big decrease in the price in 1 or 2 months. I think that the price can go back to a value around 15k dollars.

As the price hits a new record, I hope we would be able to continue this rally to hit a new price range, that's right! We're aiming at you $30K. It might not happen this year but that is fine since we've reached $20K, it is the next in line. Right now, some altcoins are following and it is so amazing to look at the price chart now. The coming days will be determinations, at least two weeks from now, correction should occur in the near future, as you know, the bitcoin chart has gone up quite high and it looks like market sentiment is entering the greed index.

Yep total true after confirmed new ATH there will be price correction 1-2 weeks and its gonna hurt a lot but after that i just want to se altcoin going jump and hit the MARS  ;D when correction happen don't forget to buy anyway  ;D

Well, just like you, I'm not surprised as well. We have several topics and members here saying that bitcoin's price will reach $20k and that's what I have already expected. But I cannot act as nothing has happened. I mean, of my three years here in this community, this is the first time that I have experienced such value. And I am just so so so so happy that it happened! I'm not disregarding the fact that the price will go down again at some point but I am elated with this history. Like the title of this post have said, FINALLY!

Not just today but for the next months and years also. Since the acceptance of Paypal, I think there is a huge chance that it will be adopted or used by other platforms. From payment methods to just digital currencies, I guess next year will be a really special year for bitcoin and other crypto currencies as well. We should look forward to next year.

The time is now that bitcoin has reached this All Time High, even with the highest record exceeding 2017 own. This is what we have been waiting for and even more seeing this happening really helps for more to come from bitcoin in the nearest year to come.

Bitcoin finally reaches and surpasses 20,000$ or the ATH this month and still able to pump around 23,500$ which is really breaking news for bitcoin.

I guess this is a good time to sell some of my investment reaching the ATH, the bitcoin potential has no limit at this point as we can see breaking the ATH this year easily.

A lot of people speculating that bitcoin will not be able to break it this year because of the resistance around 18k-20k$ but it still happened.

I think it's not over yet, bitcoin will go to the highest level which is $ 30k, I am sure it will be achieved soon.  after a long time finally bitcoin hit ATH, that's what a lot of people were waiting for, I doubted bitcoin would not even reach $ 20k, but I was wrong. Bitcoin Now it reaches $ 23k, it really surprised a lot of people.

It is really great news to everyone, another situation that bitcoin shocks us, reaching $20k and still rising, it is really awesome. This will be a good time for everyone to sell some of their investment since it is the all-time high of bitcoin reaching that value. We don't know that it will gonna happen this year, but still, bitcoin itself shows that we need to keep believing and keep on investing as long as there are still people who are using it. A lot of great news happened before the price comes to this, big companies are adopting the use of bitcoin, maybe that is the one good reason for this pump.

Well, we don't know if we will be able to reach that price but in my opinion we won't be able to reach $30K this year or in the next couple of months. Maybe at the last quarter of next year, we will be seeing the price at $20K mark again but I am not sure if we will be seeing the $30K price mark unless there are a lot of adoptions that will happen next year.

Yeah, bitcoin now reached the new ATH and this is good for every one of us especially the investors and traders, I can see a good movement of bitcoin nowadays,  hoping that it could reach $25000 this year and hit more than with the year of 2021, but bitcoin is still unpredictable so time will still tell, don't just be too emotional with the big inflation of the bitcoin, still, need a technical analysis when trading.

It looks like the Bitcoin market is trying to make it way up to $25k before the end of the month.  It is quite surprising how fast the price of Bitcoin surge and at the same time kinda scary thinking the possibility of this surge as another huge trap just like what happened after 2017.  Nevertheless, I am glad that BTC breaks its ATH and setting up new records of ATH, and finally, those who are trapped on their investment before the Bitcoin market crash last 2017 can finally say that they are able to ROI with profit.

I suspect that in 2021 we will see BTC min. 30K-50K. There are all the fundamental requirements for this. If, of course, state control does not intensify, they have already understood where everything will lead and are currently making all possible attempts to bring everything under control

That is only true for those that bought those coins and kept them and I can tell you without looking at any statistics that that most of them got rid of the coins almost immediately while others held their coins until the price finalized its crash, so there is almost no one that bought at the ATH in 2017 that can claim that they are making profits right now, I'm pretty sure that is sad to hear but to me it is the obvious reality, and I hope that they learn that no matter at what price you buy your bitcoin if you wait long enough you will obtain profits.

Anyone who invest in bitcoin definitely got something that they would not expect. For some who told that bitcoin will shut down and will reach as in 0 value, i definitely disagree with that. Bitcoin is already established quite well and is running for a long time now and surpassed other altcoins astonishingly. There whould be a drastic change first before bitcoin value would sudden drop.

Uhm... we should not expect too much to avoid disappointments because that's really risky to deal with.

In 2021, it is hard to say when bitcoin will go down, stay the same, or go up.

All of us wishes to have a better future with bitcoin but we should also consider the reality, the market, and how cryptocurrency works even if it is volatile. Maybe, we should be patient and improve our skills in trading so that we can somehow cope up and deal with the risky market and make it still profitable for us no matter the market situation.

This made more excitement when more had been speculated that bitcoin will going to reach @ 25k$. Well, that could be more good news but we do not really know what will going to happen with bitcoin market. So I think we have to expect the unexpected.

Hard to say, but that could be possible to happen. I think the price can increase to $24k-$25k this month, but if the price can rise to $30k in a short, then that will be a big surprise to us because bitcoin show its power to us to increase. While I think being prudent is a necessity and a virtue in this market at the same time it is difficult to do that when we are witnessing another ATH, we must also take into account the circumstances in which we are in, governments keep printing money thinking they can get away with it because that has been true for decades, but there are limits to the amount of money they can print and it seems to me we are reaching that limit really quickly which is making smart people adopt bitcoin in a hurry.

I am sure that this ongoing pandemic has an impact on the increase in bitcoin prices and you should not forget that Biden's victory as US President also played a role in the increase in bitcoin prices. Today bitcoin has reached a price of $28,420 and this is the highest bitcoin price in history. Is this surprising ? I don't think this is a surprise for trader or investor unless you are really not sure that bitcoin is capable of going beyond what you can think of.

I'm glad Bitcoin has now managed to hit $ 28,000. This is the best Christmas and New Year gift for me, for those who buy Bitcoin
in March 2020 like me, now they can get huge profits. I don't want to be greedy, that's why I sold some of the Bitcoin that I owned.
So if Bitcoin is corrected, I can buy Bitcoin again.

We have crossed $25k and it’s another ATH? Well, it’s not anymore when we broke the 2017 ATH. I don't have the feel before that as I was not much involved with bitcoin before 2018.
Everyday, we see ATH now but I don't think it feels like the one which take a lot of days.

Bitcoin broke the $20k barrier and continued mooning up on till this moment its still pumping, it broke $25k  yesterday and today its already $28k+, 2020 was crazy at the start but look at how it turned out to be the best year for crypto, even if the world is not completely free from covid-19 bitcoin is still pumping massively, I bet it's going to hit $30k before the year ends.

It seems like anything can happen now that bitcoin is doing because bitcoin is already short-term and can change quickly both when it goes down and goes up. is it possible that by the end of this year bitcoin can break $ 30K, yes ... it might happen but bitcoin can also go down to $ 22K, so it might happen.
