I checked the media about MOSS activity. It is a working project with good results.

In this Forbes article https://forbes.com.br/forbesesg/2020/10/fintech-ambiental-enviou-r-55-mi-para-projetos-na-amazonia-nos-ultimos-seis-meses/ I have read that during first six months of its work MOSS sent, to selected ecological projects in the Amazon about  R$55 mln.

the mission is very noble. but wondering where is their home base for this project? do they have office near the amazon area also?
we need more project like this, but how are they going to achieve their mission here? are they receiving funds from private donors? because this kind of commitment needs funds to continue their objectives. let us see if they will be successful in launching their own token here. but if possible, they should reach out private companies or individuals that can truly support their cause.

Lets explain how it works. MOSS selects the best carbon credit projects (not necessarily only from the amazon), buys the EXISTING and certified credits, after that it tokenizes and resells them on exchanges. The holder has the right to burn the token thus compensating a carbon footprint, but it is not obligatory, he can hold or resell at higher prices if wanted.

All carbon credits are certified. Registries establish “buffers” or guarantee funds that act as insurance to increase trust for carbon credits. Carbon credits from the voluntary market do not expire until they are consumed by someone who wants to compensate GHG emission.

For me the most important thing that project wold be useful for people. The mission of MOSS is very good. They protect a nature from CO2 emission and fight with global warming. I thing that now many people began to understand that we live in one planet and it is necessary to protect this planet from pollution and global warming.

CO2 is carbon dioxide. In photosynthesis plants absorb CO2 through their leaves to break down CO2 and the water absorbed by their roots and leaves (H2O) into carbon, hydrogen and oxygen atoms. As a result of photosynthesis, plants release O2 into the air. O2 is necessary for all life. That is why it is so important to protect forests on the planet.

The mission of this project is great, but, unfortunately, the team is not active in the forum. So we can't have an active discussion with them. And also, how do we validate their claims such as 1 million hectares conserved or there was about $10M sent to Amazon forest conversation projects in 8 months? Is there article from the media other than Moss-sponsored that can attest these claims?

May be team of MOSS do not answer to the questions because they do not speak English. All their article are not in English and social networks are not in English. They promote project in Latin America where they are located.

Large companies such as Microsoft, Unilever, Verizon, Amazon, Delta, Jet Blue, among others, have already announced 2020 as a year of compensation of CO2 emissions from their production, generating increasing of demand for carbon credits to help Amazon forest environmental projects. Amazon and Microsoft compensation alone is 60 million tons of voluntary carbon credit demand per annum.

The demand foг “neutral pledges’’, in which companies compensate their GHG emissions by purchasing carbon credits in the voluntary market has surged. There ara  “neutral pledges’’ from Apple, Amazon, Microsoft (since its founding in 1975), Bosch, Unilever, Verizon, Nike, Bradesco, Vivo, Vale (30% by 2030), BP, Shell, Repsol, Total, Starbucks, Mercedes-Benz, Google, Tesla, and many more.
