Title: Pricing assets in a strong bull market.
Post by: Jet Cash on December 17, 2020, 09:18:20 AM
I'm starting to ask for payments for domain names in Bitcoin, and I'm not sure how to handle this is the current strong bull market. I quoted 0.5 Bitcoin for one name, and this may be a bit ambitious given that the potential buyer id a startup. As soon as I sent to email, Bitcoin has gone on a tear, and it is up over £2,500. If the buyer is just looking at dollar prices, then this may push it up even further out his reach. I'm now having to rethink the sales message, and drop the idea of a BIN price. There are two alternatives. One is to suggest a guide price, and the other is to start a pseudo auction with a lower start price. I'm not bothered about pricing in a bear market, as I am a long term holder.

How would you guys choose a Bitcoin start price for an asset sale in a strong and volatile bull market?
