You have answered your question about its correlation. There were times that it is correlated and there were times that it don't.

To answer your question as for your title, the altcoins will also follow bitcoin's rally. We don't know how long this rally will commence but it's usually coming after the btc bull run. Alts will start to take time of becoming bullish when bitcoin's done.

But as of the moment, there's no sign that bitcoin will stop.

There are lots of the similar thread like this one and you can find a bunch of answer about that dude

The altcoin was pegged with bitcoin pair to determine its price and that means the altcoin will always follow bitcoin. Bitcoin is ruling the crypto market and any increase or decrease that happened with bitcoin will give a huge impact on the altcoins too.

Most coins/tokens are priced in Bitcoin so when Bitcoin starts pumping, so is alt. That explains why altcoins follow Bitcoin bullrun. You will even noticed that in most exchanges and even the majority of DEX.

Some altcoins follow the bitcoin rally, but not all altcoin can do that because the other altcoin needs to wait for the right time to increase. Maybe it is time for bitcoin to get a bullish trend after bitcoin is in the bear trend. It is good for us because we can make more bitcoin from the altcoin if we sell our altcoin in bitcoin pair altcoin. We can hold it until the bitcoin price breaks the next high price or sell it at the current price. The altcoin will takes its time to increase, no matter where the bitcoin price will moves.

The correlation is kinda subtle and honestly there's no way to predict whether alt gonna moves up or down when BTC rally happening. Sometimes BTC dominance gets out of hand and crushes altcoins market as a whole and sometimes alt got pumped too. It depends on the cause of BTC rally.
Though sometimes there's an illusion where altcoin seems to be dumped while BTC is in bull run but in reality their value to USD stays the same you must aware of that.

Before or rather few years ago, when BTC is high, altcoins goes down a lot including ETH and other top altcoins but currently we are seeing a turn in event, where as Bitcoin is moving, some altcoins most especially top altcoins are moving with it; in my own opinion it shows that people are now understanding that some altcoins are worth it and hence the growth witnessed within them. Although there are still cases where Bitcoin will be on the run and most people will sell their altcoins so as to be part of the growth within Bitcoin, however this is seen majorly in other altcoins not among the top. Also, about the correlation, Bitcoin dominate the whole market and as such a good number of altcoins are pegged or depends on Bitcoin; therefore it can be seen that to a great extent, Bitcoin controls the market.

Dominance is still very high and bitcoin is still very bullish, whales can't ignore that fact and head for altcoins, not until bitcoin bulls are done pumping, I believe it's not altcoins moment yet but as soon as bitcoin is done altcoins will starts their rally

Bitcoin is currently the representative of all cryptocurrencies in the world. The rise in increases the demand for other altcoins. If Bitcoin stays at these levels, trust in cryptocurrencies will increase.

Historically if Bitcoin pumps alts bleed. But, when Bitcoin is stable altcoin do pump so until Bitcoin pumps do not expect anything. Generally after Bitcoin bull run ends altcoin bull run do start, at the moment Bitcoin bull run has just started so wait till it ends.

When Bitcoin rallies, altcoins follow.

Eth is making its slow upward movement, other altcoins would do the same. I don't know what triggers it but maybe some people trade their Bitcoin into other altcoins the reason why they are making such movements. As long as the price of Bitcoin stay high up there, I think altcoins would be making this parade following Bitcoin.

Most of the time it correlated but somehow this very moment of new ATH is different, I was following between BTC and eth for example, the last ATH of Bitcoin, eth was more than a thousand dollars but now it isn't. I was looking forward that it could more but it failed my expectations. Do be very careful of correlating Bitcoin with alts in prices.

During a bull market, the cryptocurrency market saw Bitcoin experiencing a rapid uptrend first. Later, Altcoins followed suit, after BTC had surged to local peaks or all-time highs (ATH). But the current state of BTC has sucked in volume from the entire cryptocurrency market as it continues to strengthen. This caused the altcoin to take a hit, which led to increased selling pressure and reduced buying demand.

I think when the bitcoin price goes up significantly and the altcoin price goes down it's natural, most traders will sell the altcoins they have to bitcoin or stable coin to reduce the significant loss, and once the bitcoin price stabilizes the altcoins will do a slow recovery.

No direct correlation if you ask me though others might say that one follows the other.

I am more of the opinion that altcoin rises are a artificial pump that sometimes follow bitcoin but do not sustain it. It would be easy to say that altcoins follow bitcoin but often they drop early than bitcoin.

Nonetheless, if you are holding altcoins sell them at the price rise and don't keep on holding them through a bull run. You might not see such prices again in future. So grab the opportunity while it exists

IMHO, I believe not all altcoins will experiencing a rally in this Bullish market trend. As we notice only Ethereum, XRP and some other altcoins are experiencing some traction forward. Let us accept the reality that it's different now compared to the 2017-2018 Bullish market trend. Because today's market growth is considered organic and not artificially induce unlike before so we must continue to watch who knows if there's a twist in 2021.

Obviously the correlation is that almost all alts are being pair with btc, that's why all exchanges have btc/x altcoin. But as far as correlation, there is, but btc is now moving on its own and altcoin are not following. BTC reaches a new all time high, alts are still far from their ATH.

And if you look at the dominance, BTC taking over at 60%++, I remember in 2017 when everything is on a massive spike, bitcoin is ~50%. So if we can reduce bitcoin's dominance then probably we may see alts also moving very positive, but not right now.

Title: Re: Is Altcoins Follow BTC Rally?

Most altcoins are still very far from their ATH, despite the fact that bitcoin is trading above its historical values. Altcoins need to grow 100-500% to reach their ATH, but it seems unrealistic to me for bitcoin dominance to fall so low, to ensure such growth.

Although Bitcoin is now about 23,000 USD, other cryptocurrencies are still a long way from their high prices. If Bitcoin continues to maintain such an upward trend next year, I think the prices of other cryptocurrencies will rise to a considerable level. I think many people are optimistic about next year.

Indeed, usually when the price of bitcoin rises, then the altcoins begin to rise, and when the price of bitcoin falls, the price of altcoins also falls, but I myself have noticed cases when bitcoin grew in price and altcoins did not grow, and vice versa, there were cases when the price of bitcoin fell and the price of altcoins did not, so there are always different cases.

If your are talking about alts/btc pairs then I do not see them performing anytime soon because they are high chances that bitcoin will turn parabolic in coming weeks but yes in terms of usdt or other stablecoins pairs we can expect the altcoins to do well that is why im also trying to revise my portfolio to take advantage of the situation.

Only few alts can follow, most of them are in the top alts. If you can see in the coindesk alone, the charts of alts are following the trend of btc. That is, the top alts only. But most of them, will only follow the trend if they have strong development going on or has active use case. Otherwise, they can't follow the price movement of btc.

The correlation between bitcoin and altcoins can be different at different times because there are a lot of factors involved and if we saw btc really flying and dominancy increasing further in coming weeks it would be a sign that other coins will also grow in usd value but they will only fly in real sense when btc settles or reverses.

Its natural way of the market, just like during the ICO times when Btc was having influence on alternative coins but 8 think the correlation has really reduced over time like the previous.
Check bitcoin capitalization, it's holding an estimation of 60% while altcoins dominate the rest of the market. The movement isn't really like past because majority of altcoins that were pump massively in during the alt season has been abandoned and much funds has been move into  Bitcoin.

This is just a speculation and just the effect of Bitcoin dominance in the market where investors are too focus on Bitcoin because of a bull market and later on will transfer to alt market so they can pump it as well. I believe Altcoins will follow the Bitcoin trend, it may not happen this year but next year 2021 will be a great year for both Bitcoin and Altcoins.

whether this is coincidence or not but the fact is that when the price of bitcoin goes up then some of the other top altcoins also go up, the increase in bitcoin price can have a positive impact on other altcoins too. You can see for yourself that some of the top altcoins like ETH, BNB, XRP, LTC etc. have experienced a rise in price.

because now almost all altcoin use Bitcoin to be paired when trading on exchange, so that it affects for the price of altcoin if the price of Bitcoin pump or dump, therefore many investors who hold altcoin must hope that if the price of Bitcoin increase very high, because every Bitcoin price increase will definitely affect for the price of altcoin (although sometimes there are some altcoin whose price falls when the price of Bitcoin increase, but that's just a few altcoin that happen).

I'm not sure if you are new to crypto and you are not able to picture out the whole market changes from the start.
Bitcoin moves high and altcoins did the same, that is what it happening before. But this scheme has been changed this time, they are running in a different direction. Bitcoin pumps but altcoins still in the bearish season.

It is a very unusual thing to see that altcoins did the rally while Bitcoin going to dump but often to see that most of the time altcoins did a huge correction than seeing them in pump trend.

It will depend on the marketing team of that altcoin. All demand from the altcoins are from its community. The more investors believing in the project rhe higher chance that it could get a good market value just like to what happen with ETH. But no coin could be like bitcoin in terms of marketcap volume wherein more than half of its market cap volume for cryptocurrency are coming from btc.

Altcoins will follow Bitcoin because in the crypto market Bitcoin is the one who decides everything about price. When Bitcoin rises rapidly altcoins will take longer to increase in price, I observe that in a few days we will see Altcoins increased faster.

Yes, but the question is when bitcoin going to have a correction because currently we can't really this hype train as it keeps going and going to $25k. Although in 2017, altcoins already see a massive pump together with bitcoin. However, if I remember it correctly, the altcoins that pump are in the top ten and like every week manipulators will choose what coin to pump and then boom you will see a massive spike.

But when bitcoin decline at the start of 2018, that's the time that altcoin market really made it's one bull run, as majority of them touches their all time high in 2018.

Bitcoins price in USD is pushing altcoins value in USD too because most of them are paired with bitcoin. Every bull run we have on bitcoin alts always follows or sometimes some of the altcoins pump along with bitcoin but most of the time IMO and in my observation most altcoins pump when bitcoin gets a price correction but as I said that doesn't always happen because some pump along with bitcoin. I am assured that alt bull run will surely happen in the next few weeks or months I guess, lets just wait.

The history already repeated and it was trying to break another record. the only thing that is not yet coming to the market was the altcoin bullish trend. The majority of people are FOMOing bitcoin while they are forgotten with altcoins. It's caused by institutional investors that have been luring so many new buyers to the market.

I am among those who believe that altcoins will indeed follow the increase in the price of Bitcoin, I said that because as long as
I invested in crypto it happened repeatedly. So for those who have been in the cryptocurrency world for a long time, they must
believe that the price of altcoins will follow the price of Bitcoin. The clearest evidence is what happened in 2017, when Bitcoin
rose to an all time high price, soon the altcoins price also rose to reach all time high prices.

what I noticed is that when Bitcoin's Price increases. altcoins price increases only in term of USD value. the BTC value either remain same or even reduce sometime. maybe not all coins and tokens do same. but there is a token I've been following it's BTC price was 12 or 10 satoshi. and it's USD value was 0.01 or something like that when BTC was 18K. now BTC is 24k and it's USD value increased but satoshi price is same.
and that token is not even listed against any USD pair in exchanges.

In my opinion, Altcoins has something to do with Bitcoin. Where the two are related. many people who may not be able to invest in Bitcoin, then turn to altcoins to then own Bitcoin. So it's no wonder that if the price of Bitcoin increases, altcoins will follow suit. And the developers will definitely continue to try how to keep up with market trends so that their coins don't turn to ash.

It's not caused by bitcoin was mother of altcoin but all of cryptos have been using the bitcoin as the base to determine the price for these coins.
You must also know that bitcoin just like a dollar that was also dominating the fiat market. It has been ruling the crypto market and that's why any altcoins will be following bitcoin rally otherwise when bitcoin dumped and altcoin as well.

If we examine the correlation, this can be seen through the platform used by Alt coins and through what network they used when Alt was developed, although in fact this does not really affect all Alt, but Alt which is already popular will certainly always be many like it so that people who like Bitcoin in general will also like the Alt coin which is really popular on the exchange, so the increase in some Alt coins will also be seen when Bitcoin moves up.

Altcoins are more volatile than Bitcoin. Rather, we should expect the transfer of capital from Bitcoin to Altcoins. People will invest in Altcoins in the hope of higher returns. Almost every altcoin with a significant capitalization is traded in pairs with Bitcoin. Altcoins really depend on the behavior of Bitcoin.

This actually happened in the last quarter of 2017 onto the first quarter of 2018 but it was suddenly put into an stop when Bitcoin's value was slightly stabilizing at certain points. The correlation is visible but we really should still consider the fact that not all Alternate Cryptocurrencies would rise along with Bitcoin since not all of them is branched off from Bitcoin. We should also consider Ethereum and Ripple as Crypto's that is also possible to rise in value.

If we are to compare and contrast last year bull run with this year, I will say altcoins didn't do much better than previous performances, perhaps it's because this movement was base on pure adoption and most alcoins aren't worth the real use case. DeFi was the only part that performed good at their time, though most of them collapse due to unforeseen circumstances and greediness among individuals.
Bitcoin did better just as it was heavily pump during 2017 but altcoins never followed it rally that's was why we couldn't make a trillion market cap.
I hope we do better in the coming years.

Your answer will be answered if you compare the movement of Bitcoin with altcoins, of course there is a connection between
Bitcoin and altcoins. Because most traders use Bitcoin pairing to trade altcoins, so surely Bitcoin price will affect the altcoins price.
So my advice is if you see the price of Bitcoin starting to go up, immediately convert the altcoins you have into Bitcoin, or you
can be patient waiting for the altcoins to rise in price.

not all altcoins follow the direction of bitcoin,
we know that altcoins are very dependent on the community and their own holders,
so if bitcoins go up, then altcoins are likely to decline.
indeed, the effect of BTC on all altcoins cannot be equated, because we know that in crypto currency everything is alt (alternative coins), coins other than BTC. but the point is if in a like exchange dex / cex has altcoins that are paired with BTC then the price effect is extraordinary. for example eth.
1 bitcoin = 35 eth, when bitcoin goes up to
1bitcoin = 37 eth
then eth will automatically decrease in price due to the impact of the increase in bitcoin prices.

Altcoins can be divided into 2 groups: those who follow bitcoin pumps and those who have their own pumps but usually follow the trend of the whole market.

The first group is like BCH, LTC, ETH... They follow bitcoin and usually do it pretty fast but with a reserve, so when Bitcoin pumps 10% they may go up 5%.
The second group pumps and dumps independently. Those are usually small and not very popular altcoins or tokens built on Ether, but even those coins dump when the market as a whole dumps, like when we had that US lockdown in Spring.

We will not see that happen again dude. This time altcoins were facing a big problem and ripple can die too.
The bitcoin will be the only coin that could be pumped by the institutional investors. Some companies are liquidating their position in the altcoins.
I see that some major altcoins were being affected caused by the on ripple that decrease the trust from the investors to keep their money into the altcoins.

Altcoins always follow the movement of bitcoin and only time will tell, it seems that nowadays everyone and investors give priority to bitcoin because it always dominates the market and its price continues to increase.
most likely they are very careful to invest in altcoins and that does not mean they are not, but prioritizing bitcoin because it is more promising, and I believe there will be changes to altcoins just need time and patience to wait and I also hold some altcoins and will be patient to wait until the time comes .

Sometimes we see When the BTC High then Alts move slightly. So, what's the correlation of Alts with BTC?
You have answered your question about its correlation. There were times that it is correlated and there were times that it don't.

To answer your question as for your title, the altcoins will also follow bitcoin's rally. We don't know how long this rally will commence but it's usually coming after the btc bull run. Alts will start to take time of becoming bullish when bitcoin's done.

But as of the moment, there's no sign that bitcoin will stop.
All you have to do is look at Coin Market Cap or Coingecko at the little charts at the left side and you will notice that most alts do follow BTC.

Initially the altcoins also went up, along with Bitcoin. But now the trend has reversed. Bitcoin prices are stable, while many of the altcoins are crashing. For example, XRP (Ripple) has lost more than half of its value during the last few days, and many of the alts were also affected by its drop. But Bitcoin prices seems to be stable and it was not influenced by the SEC lawsuit against Ripple.

It is difficult to judge the relationship between BTC and altcoins, as the situation in the crypto market is often unpredictable. However, there is certainly a connection. I believe that when BTC goes up, the top altcoins also react and their price gradually rises, but this growth is not great, since, nevertheless, if altcoins are pumped, then only after the price of BTC rises. In general, I believe that often the rise in BTC contributes to the growth of altcoins. Now we have seen how BTC reached $ 24,000, at the same moment altcoins also reacted with a slight increase. So this is how it shows that there is a direct connection between them.

Previous market history performances before shows that Altcoins are truly depending on Bitcoin performance that is why many traders are making the Bitcoin price as their baseline of their investment but I wonder why that this current all time high looks different than before in which Bitcoin price is really very far away from the Altcoins prices like the Ethereum that as far I remembered the price is $1.4K.

It's the way that one Bitcoin has a big impact on another altcoin. People say Bitcoin is the queen of virtual currencies so maybe everyone will follow the movement of Bitcoin.
Are you sure about this? what about this time? it doesn't seem altcoin is following the bitcoin trend and what's your conclusion about that? I do believe if altcoin will not always follow the bitcoin.
The news will bring the impact that even bitcoin can't affect the altcoin market. It seems like that theory was not true at all.
We must see the reality that's happening in the market right now.

Bitcoin is a hotseat of this year especially the bullish trend. No wonder that almost of the thread present in the section are all about bitcoin market price.

Now, with trendy aspect of bitcoin the altcoins had nothing to do with it. As had been observe that some altcoins had fall down and crashing while others are also being bullish just like bitcoin. In altcoins, no one could reay say that when bitcoin is good so it does to altcoin. One thing is sure about altcoins is that most altcoins fall down when bitcoin market crashes.

They do slightly follow when BTC rallies however the problem is they dump much harder than 'rallies' when BTC corrects a bit.

I agree with you, the volatility we see in the bitcoin market tends to be much higher in the alt coin market. A rally usually has positive impacts for the alt coin markets. The correlation seems to be quite high in times of Sharpe rises or Sharpe declines.

Honestly, you said something very important because Bitcoin is in the first place in this crypto market. So Bitcoin's relationship with Alcoin didn't have much of an impact because you see that at the time Bitcoin was at 6,000 but I sold our income coins at a hefty price and now you see Bitcoin where 23,000 left but then didn't pump very good coins. The main reason is that now everyone is looking at Bitcoin and so I think Bitcoin and Alcoin both move at its own pace. It is my general idea, now you can tell your idea. Thank you.

There is a undeniable correlation between bitcoin and altcoin's price as whenever the is an increase in the value of Bitcoin, value of atlcoin increases (sometimes this doesn't happen) but fluctuations altcoins price does not affect bitcoin's price rather sometimes altcoins lose their investment to bitcoin when the value of Bitcoin surges and altcoin doesn't.

To a certain extent, yes, and we can consider the level of investment of institutions with their billions of dollars or fiat from their specific country. On the day we find these institutions joining large investments on certain altcoins we can be sure of that monitoring. However, due to the variations of the last few years, I'm down to earth to wait for the maturity of this thought without great expectations.

There's atom of truth in your opinion, we have observed this process severally, Bitcoin on a bullish movement don't always take along these altcoins even the king mother Ethereum, mostly these altcoins do have their fair share whenever the price of Bitcoin gets into a stable status. Also, Bitcoin dominance in the market likewise attract the pump and dump of the altcoins price

You don't want to miss the train and hold some alts when Bitcoin is moving. Your alts won't just stay stable waiting, they will be destroyed. Most are a scam anyway and don't have anything innovative. Quite a few have some developers that made millions and are more relaxed, trying to build what they promised, but this doesn't mean the price of their coins will keep rising. If these coins are not used for a good reason then their price will have less demand and keep dropping.

Hopefully we will see a repeat of altcoin pumps similar to 2018. But there needs so be a correction in btc first.
No I dont think so and it would be better for your portfolio to sell them if a rise happens instead of holding them any more. Altcoins are a waste of time and space in any investors bag. You will never see an altcoin become second to bitcoin or take over the price to lead the market, despite whatever bullshit that project's owner might feed you as koolaid.

Bitcoin is seeing correction anyway right after it crossed 20k USD this month. However the overall trend is bullish and buying pressure is high. I dont think it will be stopping soon so its better to wait it for till it stops rising and then wait for the next bear trend to start. If you have bitcoin, sell some to build some gains which you can use to buy back at dips.

This is the time to be cautious when trading. Dont go all in/all out.

It's just coincidence for me bitcoin is bitcoin and it has own market cap which people think that when bitcoin price volume increase they will follow to buy more altcoins which some loses happens when suddenly those alts drops it's price and also it is depends on bitcoin when they are new investors or exchanges of their fiat into crypto as you can see bitcoin already crossed the line into All time high, and some of altcoins are involved into scheme scam saying that it is like bitcoin but in the end people will regret for those action they even didn't have knowledge.

If Bitcoin falls again at this time, the rally that occurs will be very different than expected, because the decline in Bitcoin will always affect most of the Altcoins in the market, so they will also fall by an unexpected percentage.

not really, I mean the Altcoin increase doesn't always depend on the Bitcoin price increase and vice versa. but it can be said that the current Bitcoin increase has reached its Ath price all the time, after Bitcoin fell drastically in March but could return its value this month. for Altcoins I haven't seen a green sign. some altcoins are still significant at fixed prices such as Ethereum $ 600- $ 612.

Your opinion kinda true though. Most of alts gonna gets crushed if the big companies and investment firm keeps buying BTC at large amount which also means increases the price and market cap. By then people would just prefer to switch over bitcoin because it's more promising and more safe for investment compared to alts with significantly smaller market dominance and market capitalization. Alts could fail anytime meanwhile bitcoin is here to stay. Hopefully though, the market become balanced so both btc and alts don't crush each other.

Possibly it is the ideal opportunity for bitcoin to get a bullish pattern after bitcoin is in the bear pattern. It is beneficial for us since we can make more bitcoin from the altcoin in the event that we sell our altcoin in bitcoin pair altcoin. In spite of the fact that there are still situations where Bitcoin will be on the run and a great many people will sell their altcoins to be essential for the development inside Bitcoin, anyway this is seen significantly in other altcoins not among the top.

It's not easy enough to predict market movements, if anyone is able, maybe only about 60% of their predictions can come true ;D.  including buying bitcoin in the last 3 months, which was when the price of bitcoin showed no sign at all that it would increase in price like now, but I think now is not to late to choose some altcoins as investments and hopefully bitcoin will have price corrections in the future.

Sometimes we see When the BTC High then Alts move slightly. So, what's the correlation of Alts with BTC?

I think the correlation is all about inter-connected trades that happens when btc is rising. I mean, when btc starts going up whole investor base knows that alts will be invested by everyone since they dosn't cost you much and it's good season to earn some bucks! When this chain reaction of so called investments starts to heads up then it reflects into green market and all the small to mid investors follow the trend. This is why whole market seems to be interconnected but it's just after effect of one king size coin that is BTC.

I mean everyone will agree on this definitely. Of course this also happens some times for the alts. If you checkout few instances when btc suddenly pumped and dumped then alts won't react at all. So it's only when there is major pump and constant up surge for the btc.

It's not every time bitcoin pumps that altcoins follow, most times when bitcoin is pumping so many altcoins can't stand so they begin to dump them maybe recover later, it's only a few popular altcoins that tend to pump whenever bitcoin is pumping coins like eth and Ltc, these two coins have something in common with bitcoin, even though it's not everything they pump the same time as bitcoin.

The movement of BTC and ALT depends on the news circulating.
The simple concept is, Cryptocurrency can be compared to FIAT and Bitcoin can be compared to Altcoin.

If the news is more inclined towards cryptocurrency that is against FIAT or it could be Gold, then the price of Bitcoin and Altcoin will increase simultaneously.

But if the news that circulates is more inclined towards BTC and shows the weakness of ALTCOIN, then the Bitcoin price will go up and the altcoins will fall.

Litecoin still has some acceptance and usage over the older bitcoin adopters as "silver" to bitcoin. It has only become bigger in price but nothing breaking out in development. It has attempted to grow big with time though and better than BCH which is a shitcoin promoted by a lying maniac.

So if you are looking to buy any of these buy litecoin but only after buying bitcoin. Stay away from any forked coins like BCH and so on. Whales have never been keeping any interest in shitcoins like them but you can buy at low and sell at 10% gains to get some profits instead of leaving money elsewhere too.

Just make sure you sell these shitcoins at the pump and dont keep on holding them.

I think it’s for maximum alts and not for all alts, when bitcoin bullish run maximum major alts follow this run.
it's not true. This time bitcoin has surpassed 27k and then altcoin is not moving to the bitcoin's position. Altcoins were loosing on its value against bitcoin. Altcoin can't go along with the bitcoin pump.
Some altcoins may able to follow the bitcoin's trend but it's not the whole of market will turn into the bullish trend.
We should understand the situation that is still happening right now. Bitcoin may go even higher than before.

Bitcoin is like a father, he is the father of all other coins.
Alternative cryptocurrency coins, as they call the "children" of Bitcoin, grows behind Bitcoin, when it grows, the rest of the cryptocurrency market grows. When its price falls, then the rest of the market falls in the same way, I think here I have described the whole relationship between Bitcoin and Alternative Cryptocurrencies.

Again, with bitcoin ever changing narrative, I might say that the pattern might have change already.

Just look at the dominance of bitcoin, 70% currently and then what a super rally to touch new all time high of $27k and still growing. While the rest of the alts are lagging behind, Ethereum for instance are still down 50% from it's previous all time high.

So the whole altcoin follow the bitcoin rally is no where as close as to like 2017 or early 2018. Time has change, investors getting smart.

Just go to the Coinmarketcap and check the charts. It is pretty clear. When the rally started, the Bitcoin dominance was somewhere around 57%. Now this figure stands at 71%. Assuming that some 5% of the market cap is made up of Bitcoin forks and stablecoins, that means that the altcoin market cap has fallen from 38% to 24% during the same period. What happening now is the exact opposite of the situation we had in 2017.

Indeed, the market growing but altcoins are still slow compared to the 2017 bullish season almost all altcoins do the rally unlike what we experience this time.

This is also to admit that altcoins are still depending on Bitcoin. The hypes that Bitcoin has now is also spread to the entire market. But those dead coins are no longer have that scheme, no wonder that if you are holding those things, never expect it rally the same but just to keep dead at all.

A few altcoins take after the bitcoin rally, but not all altcoin can do that since the other altcoin should wait for the proper time to extend. We can say its turn for bitcoin to urge a bullish drift after bitcoin is within the bear slant. It is in favorfor us since we are able make more bitcoin from the altcoin in case we offer our altcoin in bitcoin match altcoin. We will hold it until the bitcoin cost breaks another tall cost or offer it at the current cost. The altcoin will take its time to extend, no problem where the bitcoin cost will move.

Major altcoins even struggle, how much more on the low market altcoins. Bitcoin is still very bullish and there's no hype at the altcoins market, so people are really putting their money on bitcoin and I don't really expect this kind of big growth anymore and it look like $30k is even possible by the end of the year.

Altcoins season will come, but not this year for sure as we already have 4 days before the year ends, so hopefully next year altcoins will have some significant growth so this market will be a little balance and not fully dominated by bitcoin.

You are right! They don't correlate from time to time because altcoins doesn't really always connect on how bitcoin moves and as mentioned you would
really be having a hard time on recovering or breaking even if you do make those kind of assumptions basing off on whats the trend between
alts and bitcoin itself. Try to observe and if you've been on this market for a while then you would really able to tell those differences.
You should always stick into those best or top rank ones when they do correct in price, always buy in the dip and when the time it recovers
then that will surely be a profit.

Unfortunately for most altcoins, if the price of Bitcoin rises, there will be a down trend risk to altcoins. Altcoins look very
weak compared to BTC. Because from a fundamental point of view, all cryptocurrencies are currently under pressure by
Bitcoin. While not all altcoins have declined if bitcoin has a rally. There were some altcoins that went up when bitcoin rallied.

......always buy in the dip and when the time it recovers then that will surely be a profit.
Do this strictly on bitcoin only and you'll never have a problem, it's a guaranteed profit in the long run, bitcoin will dump due to correction but it always bounce back strong although some experts call it a bubble and when it dump it will not recover anymore.

Bitcoin and us just keep proving them wrong everytime.  ;D

Sometimes we see When the BTC High then Alts move slightly. So, what's the correlation of Alts with BTC?

The correlations is the money from investor that move from many ALTS to BTC and also some top Alts to ride the price. Same happen when BTC sideways, theres money move from BTC to ALTS so the ALTS up.

Altcoins will always follow Bitcoin no matter which direction bitcoin takes, it could just take a bit of time. You could realize that when bitcoin goes up, alts go up a bit later, so it is still the same direction, but just a bit more later than usual and that's it.

This is why I think it is quite important to actually get into alts at the right time, if you could get in at the right time you could make a lot of profit from it. And of course I think it is quite important to invest into bitcoin as well, because it can rally really high very quickly all before everything else, you could profit from it even today after it has increased so much.

ETH went up like 3x so far and I think there is room for at least another 3x increase this year, as long as that eth 2.0 is real we can see much bigger increases. All in all I see big potential for 2021 to be one of the best years ever.

Bitcoin price is inversely related to altcoin price. Whenever Bitcoin price goes up, altcoin price goes down since people sell their altcoins to buy bitcoin. People buys back their altcoin once Bitcoin price correction occurs or it becomes stable.

That is not the case. I have seen exactly the opposite during the last 8 years. Whenever the Bitcoin prices go up, the altcoin prices also show an increase. Even during the current rally, you will be able to notice this. Altcoins such as Ethereum have gone up by more than 200%, which is comparable to the gains made by Bitcoin recently. There may be a few exceptions, but most of the altcoins show an increase in their exchange rates.

altcoins do not follow the bitcoin rally, you should know that, yes even though there are altcoins that follow bitcoin,
but almost all altcoins when the price of Bitcoin goes up altcoins will experience sideways and even dumps,
don't choose altcoins carelessly if you don't want your portfolio to decrease
In the second half of 2017, when Bitcoin began to rise sharply in price, almost all altcoins also experienced strong growth. The next year, when the price of bitcoin dropped 70 percent, altcoins fell in price by 90 to 95 percent. Now the growth of altcoins after bitcoin is observed, however, altcoins are growing in price very slowly. Moreover, some show relatively good growth, others are very weak, and still others even practically stand still or even fall a little. Probably, it should be so. Everything should depend on the prospects of our coins and tokens.

Mainly it's because other coins more specifically alts paired with BTC in so many exchanges thus BTC as an indicator for a coin. But you will see how alts usually got dumped its value in BTC but instead its value in USD rising.
It's just how most of people picture it by pairing it to BTC really, not a rare occasion where alts just get outright crushed because the market cap got seized by BTC. there's just no obvious pattern that these alts follows.

That used to be the belief until the ongoing bull run. Most of the altcoins don't really follow the price rise as expected. It is only ethereum that does a little better. The rise in the price of XRP we saw few weeks ago was as a result of it being required to be eligible for an airdrop and the moment the snapshot took place, it got dumped again before the Sec attack on it.

Its true some altcoins are being pump whenever the bitcoin price increases its volume you can see there are lots of investors nowadays and they choosing different coins which is good for all holders bitcoin which you can make a good profit from its volatility whenever the price changes time to time. And somehow those coins are coincidence with bitcoin when those such price goes up and still growing by the day bitcoin is still the mother of all coins it is like her babies that mothers needs to support to grow them.

BTC Rally is followed directly by eth. Even if you don't move the price of other altcoin, eth will move. There is a specific price difference between Bitcoin and ETH. If the price of Bitcoin increases more and the price of Eth decreases, then it will be equal between the specified period.

The market has changed tremendously from what it's used to be or from what is normally experienced. Before now, when Bitcoin rally Altcoins doesn't because a lot of people always move funds to Bitcoin in order to profit more from it, hence causing the dump of altcoins. But nowadays, with Bitcoin rally some altcoins are still moving up which are mostly within top 100 in coinmarketcap, but their movements however can't be compared with that of Bitcoin. On the other hand, most people are still believing there will be an altcoin season, but that looks like it is going to be tough because Bitcoin dominance is not slowing down and Bitcoin on the other hand is looking towards leaving another ATH. Therefore, to answer the question to the best of my understanding, I would say a very little number of altcoins follow Bitcoin rally.

If the price of Ethereum has decreased but Bitcoin has increased, then the price of Ethereum has decreased for only a moment. Going back up in my opinion. but if Bitcoin goes down a lot then everything will return to its old price.

Good thing bitcoin doesn't dump yet, and though ETH has increased $730 today, I think it will not reach $1,000 by the end of the year and the moment bitcoin will start to dump, ETH will have the same fate. The market is still about FUD and FOMO, we are in FOMO now, but correction starts, FUD happen.

Other altcoins have experienced less surprising increases than Bitcoin. It's not that obvious to see altcoins growing slowly.

How many of the altcoins are having real life usage? Also, the current rally was triggered by integration of Bitcoin by PayPal and Square. The altcoins are having no role in this spike, and it surprises me that some of the alts have managed to go up by 100%-200% during the last few months. But in the coming months, I expect the altcoin market share to decrease steeply. They will be unable to maintain current levels, at which they are clearly overpriced.

It is beneficial for us since we can make more bitcoin from the altcoin on the off chance that we sell our altcoin in bitcoin pair altcoin. We can hold it until the bitcoin value breaks the following exorbitant cost or sell it at the current cost. Despite the fact that there are still situations where Bitcoin will be on the run and a great many people will sell their altcoins to be important for the development inside Bitcoin, anyway this is seen significantly in other altcoins not among the top.

I hope the price of bitcoin can continue to rise because that will make other coins follow the trend of bitcoin

Altcoins really do follow bitcoin's price movement that when the price goes ups, most altcoins prices go up as well and vise versa. It is the reason why most investors are not only happy with bitcoin's price today that they are also earning a considerable amount of profit with their altcoins because their prices are stable and growing.

I'm expecting as well that altcoins can still be slow and hard to reach their ATH until Bitcoin still at high. I have to say that 2020 is not the year for altcoin but for Bitcoin (alone).

If we track the market changes, altcoins didn't have such massive growth since Bitcoin is on the rally. In fact, they keep on the red color and that only it changes at the 4th quarter (maybe) turning to green but many of them still a living dead.

There are coins that are more or less able to withstand small and medium dumps of the bitcoin price, but large drawdowns affect everyone. Except for stablecoins, of course.

I think so. And I think it's already following. Every time when we saw a big move from bitcoin after that move when bitcoin is kind of stable we then saw alts to move. But alts move very fast either way up and down. So if you are not an expert don't want to catch that move. If btc price go high normally most of the alts start to pump a but you can take that profits. But some of them go 2x-3x in 2-3 days and then suddenly come to bottom. So be careful from this type of moves.

I know many investors who are suffering from holding old altcoins that have been laying down in the dumps like anything. The best way to get out of them is to sell at whatever value possible and then forget about them. You might be at a loss, but it is better to move on and accept the loss than keep holding them. Bitcoin has shown its resilience over time and this does not need more evidence - altcoins are shit when compared with the price metrics of bitcoin even when reaching maintaining price.

I would suggest you to move away from altcoins other than the top 10 altcoins. Then go with bitcoin for the long term.

This is a safe suggestion, the top 10 altcoins normally are strong altcoins because they have good volume and they usually survive from long bear market in the past, however, it's not also bad to look at some risky altcoins for a higher reward, at the end of the day, what matters is the right portfolio management using a proper risk management system.

Exactly the whole crypto market follows bitcoin's price movement, because bitcoin is spare heading the crypto market and whenever there's a bull run like this altcoins always try to pump just like bitcoin, but just as you said only the top altcoins coins always gets all the attention of the investors looking to making profit off the bull market.
Hopefully we will see a repeat of altcoin pumps similar to 2018. But there needs so be a correction in btc first.

BTC and Altcoins have a correlation, we cannot avoid it. As the main pairs of most altcoins, when the Bitcoin price drops very big, it should bring impacts on the value of altcoins. We can see it easily, an increase in Bitcoin can trigger the improvement of altcoin prices. But when the price of Bitcoin drops significantly, then the price of altcoins will follow to decline hardly.

the mother of the cryptocurrency will always affect the price movements of altcoins. I've even invested in Bitcoin and altcoins for more than
4 years, always look at Bitcoin pump  first  after that followed by an increase in the price of altcoins. This happened over and over again, so be careful
if the Bitcoin price dumps suddenly, it won't take long for the altcoin price to dump too.

Sometimes we see When the BTC High then Alts move slightly. So, what's the correlation of Alts with BTC?

Generally a positive correlation.

But that is not to say that you can expect each individual alt to move in accordance with BTC markets. This used to be the case when the biggest alt out there was LTC (many years ago), but it is entirely different now.

With the current market conditions, you have to consider each alt on a case by case basis. ETH and XRP are moving in entirely different directions - yet, they would both fall under the umbrella category of "large-cap alts".

Some ofbthem even give 2x-3x in terms of profit. So the altseason is already running and if btc go more top other coins alsongige more profit.

In my opinion, the correlation between bitcoin and altcoins is, seeing the blasting price of bitcoin, many altcoins holders can't control themselves, sold their assests for investment that fund on bitcoin & enjoy the blasting value advantage. that is why so called altcoins are get drop badly but due to having large trading volume of top altcoins, people also investing on those but a little.that is why those top altcoins pump but slightly

before trading altcoins, indeed one of the most important things we have to understand is the correlation between bitcoins, and they are both correlated,
but only a few altcoins in my opinion are correlated with bitcoin, yup that is Ethereum, Bitcoin Dump, Ethereum dumps, and Bitcoin pump,
Ethereum is also a pump, the real correlation is seen in the market. but other altcoins tend to experience the opposite,
yes and have to wait for Bitcoin sideways or experience an accumulation phase and you will see an altcoin pump.

Of course the Altcoins movement has always followed Bitcoin's movement, because the market is always dominated by Bitcoin and also Bitcoin as
the mother of the cryptocurrency will always affect the price movements of altcoins. I've even invested in Bitcoin and altcoins for more than
4 years, always look at Bitcoin pump  first  after that followed by an increase in the price of altcoins. This happened over and over again, so be careful
if the Bitcoin price dumps suddenly, it won't take long for the altcoin price to dump too.
maybe in dollar price, altcoin price follows bitcoin price increase, but as we can see, currently bitcoin price has more dominant increase than altcoin. in fact, some altcoins have fallen or even expanded, in price. however, there haven't been any significant developments regarding the bitcoin pair, but at this point, we can see that not all altcoins are following bitcoin.

Good read and I thinking about investing in DOT.

Whatever he mentioned will always have an excellent chance to grab those coins. The above mentioned will always have a strong market, and those companies are actively developing the products and that's why they are tethering huge community, definitely, we need to grab those coins.

Yes, it is very clearing that altcoins always follow the movement of Bitcoin, For example, we can see in 2018 to 2019 when the price of BTC was very low, at the same time altcoins also dropped drastically, making altcoins sink in the crypto market at that time, in 2020 BTC experienced growth  very large, the price soared and in 2020 the new ATH was reached by BTC, at that time altcoin prices began to increase, even new coins appeared on the crypto market, from here I can conclude that BTC is the parent  of all altcoins,

I think pump is depends on token's quality & roadmap. If project is good, team has fund then there is no prevention for any altcoins to get pump. But if team is scammer or owner of shitcoin, then how could anyone expect long term progress from that token? Although bitcoin also influence on altcoins market, altcoin market will crash if bitcoin crash!! But i think altcoin itself much more responsible for its pump or dump.

then after bitcoin price sideways, altcoins will start growing, thats what i see in this crypto market

It is very clear that you are saying that when bitcoin experiences something altcoins usually have an impact but not for all altcoins that are usually influential are the top-ranking altcoins that receive the main impact, but not other altcoins, usually altcoins that are still trading are still actively trading on the exchange.

but I don't agree that altcoins are decreasing because people are moving their money to bitcoin. Their market shares are intertwined, but when bitcoin goes up, altcoins are not always sure to move up as well, but the impact is a few moments later. only ethereum always follows every movement wherever bitcoin moves, so he also follows it.

It's always like that, if the price of bitcoin skyrockets the value of alts in form of BTC usually decrease, but the value of alt in USD usually still stays the same or even go up due to the effect of bitcoin price going up.
But, the overall market movement still following the trend of bitcoin like whether we're in bullish market or bearish market.
Just see how when bitcoin got dumped so hard in 2018 if im not mistaken, the alts also having such a bad market down trend but now we've seen bitcoin go up like crazy it triggers other coins to get bullish as well.

That is what happened on last market pump way back 2017-2018. Top 10 coins are pumping along with the altcoins that is why a lot of people that time experienced bullrun but based on the market we have right now, it is not happening. Only top coins are inceasing day by day and the altcoins are moving slowly, worst is some of it decrease.
The influence of bitcoin has indeed made altcoins bull. I think by being able to guess the price movements of bitcoin we can find out that altcoins always follow the direction of bitcoin, this is what happened like the previous year. but when the big dump happened. altcoins can be sure that the decline is quite large. We can see this on the previous year's chart and it will repeat itself
The previous years were perfect examples of why to not get in HYPE with altcoins if the BTC price is going to make new higher high price levels. Whenever the BTC price rejects the resistance on charts, altcoins also suffer to go higher. The correlation is strong, altcoins tend to follow the general market more than a single cryptocurrency.

Therefore with a fairly high rise now like this this should be a momentum to sell. we don't have to wait any longer to get more benefits. Altcoins have received hundreds of percent increases and if we invest, of course the profits we get are quite large. don't want more and more people to be complacent about the conditions that happened in the past

Watch out,  bitcoin is dumping right now, altcoins are following as well.

Everytime there's a dump, I can't help by think it could be a correction that is due to happen, hopefully bitcoin will still survive on this and it will start to rise again but if it's really time for correction, we can't do anything but just watch the price going down and of course altcoins will be affected big time.

check the market, https://coinmarketcap.com/, it's red everywhere now.

Bitcoin always dominates the crypto market, which means that a decrease or increase in the value of a coin in the crypt market is accompanied by a decrease or increase in the value of bitcoin. So in this sense, it can be said that the speed of altcoin flows with the speed of bitcoin.

What I see in the crypto market is like this, when bitcoin grows altcoins will definitely follow suit. Because bitcoin is one of the most interesting investment options,
bitcoin always dominates other crypto assets like most altcoins. which then ethereum is the second crypto asset that many enthusiasts besides bitcoin.
When Bitcoin goes down, most other altcoins will go down as well, but we can still find altcoins that don't follow bitcoin's direction.

This doesn't always happen now. A few days ago, I was looking at the prices of cryptocurrencies on CoinMarketCap at a time when Bitcoin plummeted in price and was pleasantly surprised. Many altcoins did not follow the Bitcoin price movement and continued to show decent price gains. Moreover, this happened in the next few days, so it cannot be said that they simply did not have time to react to changes in prices on the market. Now, of course, only a few of them are still in green.
However, during the period of the current rise in the price of bitcoin, many altcoins have already reached high prices and this can actually be called a very peculiar season of altcoins.

The fact is that, according to many analysts, this correction is called technical. And yet, because of this, there is no need to panic, since such processes occur constantly after the active growth of the cryptocurrency rate. In the current period, not only ordinary users of cryptocurrency, but also big capital are looking for more profitable positions to enter the market, such as at the moment.

Yes, I agree with you if altcoins grow when bitcoin is increasing, of course with a very different volume, but the point is that altcoins cannot do much if BTC has experienced a massive decline, the most valid example was in 2017 where BTC fell very drastically  until it hits the 50 million mark, here we don't see any growth at all against altcoins, I conclude that BTC is the parent of all altcoins,

bitcoin is the king of the market so it is not difficult to understand that the entire movement of the market depends on bitcoin
you won't find growth altcoins if bitcoin drops in price, so when buying any altcoin, keep an eye on bitcoin's price movement.
but every time bitcoin drops slightly, altcoins will drop very strongly so it is advisable to invest most of it in bitcoin, only a small part should be put in altcoins

we can't avoid it, all we can do is follow it, it's easy, just sell our altcoin if the market is bearish, or bitcoin is dumps.

Altcoins will not be separated from Bitcoin unless there is good news for the altcoins themselves,
but indeed not all of them can come out, Bitcoin is the parent of cryptocurrencies, and there is a cycle in it,
when Bitcoin goes up you can buy altcoins, and if bitcoin goes down of course altcoins will also go down.

It can be said that the price of altcoins is strongly influenced by bitcoin, but there is a good thing that after the stable presence of coins the influence of bitcoin decreases, even I think the influence of strong altcoins such as BNB or ETH is stronger than bitcoin, as has happened since august that many altcoins are the opposite of bitcoin.

What do you mean by "the influence of the strong altcoins such as BNB or ETH"? Do you think they influence other altcoins?
I am not sure about this, but I never saw experts state that strong altcoins influence other altcoins. What I know so far is that Bitcoin influences altcoins since Bitcoin is the most pair of crypto coins. Bitcoin is also the icon of crypto coins, so it has a big role to determine the values of other coins.

In my opinion, Altcoins can be driven by BTC sentiment. However, it also reverses when BTC will pump rather than altcoins pumping too. That's because Alts have been seen as a hedge for crypto investors when bitcoin is going through a rough patch that feels like allowing them to bounce back more quickly if the time comes.

The rise in the price of bitcoin always coincides with the alts seeing their price spike, but still I don't conclude that the recovery is due to the increased demand for bitcoin. It is up to the individual altcoins.

Altacoin is no different from Bitcoin.  Bitcoin price increases always coincide with altcoins, their price increases because altcoins are strongly influenced by bitcoin.Bitcoin is the king of all coins. When the value of Bitcoin goes down, so does the value of Altacoin, and when the value of Bitcoin goes up, so does the value of Altacoin.Basically all coins are related to Bitcoin.  But I have noticed a difference for several days that many altcoins have not followed the price movement of bitcoin. While the price of bitcoin was decreasing, the altcoin was gaining a little bit in value.

Yes, big events can be the target of big investors. be ready first to make the main pump that will make the price go up or make ATH and get big profits. sometimes there is a project holding a big event that has not been able to bring the coin soar, some of this is just to lure investors.

Sometimes we see When the BTC High then Alts move slightly. So, what's the correlation of Alts with BTC?
depends on the season , I mean this will always rely in the timing of the market , like for example when the market is nearing Bullying for Halving? then we can be assure of this altcoin following bitcoin because no matter what? investors will always go with option and that happens for Bitcoin and also for altcoins.
we can see over the years that even shitcoins made it on the top once bitcoin shows bullrunning.
and we can observe that every 4 years like this coming 2025 that another halving will come.
Actually, it's not forever if the price of btc goes up, the other alts will also go up. However, it seems that as we all know, if the price of btc goes up, the price of other alts will also increase. This is because btc is the most popular coin and controls about 50% of the crypto asset market
it is forever the trend mate , that Bitcoin will show the way and altcoin will go along .

This is the reality of the market. Each and every price movement is connected with the altcoins. Whenever the bitcoin market turns bullish, the altcoin rally continue following bitcoin. At some point the bullish movement of bitcoin gets slowed down and the altcoins move good. This is termed to be the altcoin season. For now we haven't encountered any such in recent months. So, the next altcoin season will bring good bullish move with altcoins.

Altcoin price always depend on btc, because when you are an investor you will think twice to buy during bear season specially when you buy or trade altcoins with the use of btc pair, because you will only get a small amount of tokens when you buy it during bear season that is why most of the buyer choose to hold their btc instead of buying or trading it to another coins.

Sometimes we see When the BTC High then Alts move slightly. So, what's the correlation of Alts with BTC?
Almost all Alts depends upon the price of Btc. Btc price show the fear and confidence of investors in crypto. Usually when BTC Up then big alts like Ethereum, bnb, Dot,Sol etc are also moving upside and if BTC down other coins down so quickly. The best time for alts coins is when BTC rise and the. Stable for some week there then all Alts starting to reach ATH.
We may seen fake pumo in bear market but all will be for short time and will apply on Low cap coins

Most altcoins go along with the status of Bitcoin. Now that we're in a bearish situation, we can't expect that there will be independent altcoins that could rise up while Bitcoin is down. They are all Bitcoin dependent and we can't question that because Bitcoin is a top coin and is also known as the father of all cryptocurrencies. During the bullish season, most potential altcoins also pump.
This is how we've got our cryptocurrency market. As we're in the bearish market we weren't able to experience price rally on bitcoin. In between there is some positive moves in the market, and that doesn't last for longer time period. Maybe with time we can experience a good bullish move with the altcoins followed by the growth taking place with bitcoin. Based on experts prediction, this is the time for traders to make good profit as there is regular fluctuation.

Sometimes we see When the BTC High then Alts move slightly. So, what's the correlation of Alts with BTC?

As you can see from the market history, Altcoin are always followed to Btc movement, there's a rare situation that one of the ALTS made his own moves, it is scarce, but all of the ALTS have their own movements, and those movements are always rely on Bitcoin. That's how it was work.
and no one can deny that fact, actually it is more to call as reality right?

though they are calling 2018 as Altcoin year  yet everything is triggered when Bitcoin start up the climb in 2017 and that only followed that so called 2018 altcoins season.

If i were to decide ? i would rather invest in bitcoin first and then sell at high then Buy altcoins because for sure they will bring me another profit.

Stable for some week there then all Alts starting to reach ATH.

basically the movement of bitcoin becomes a signal for the movement of altcoins that always follow it. and this happens because of the psychological factor of most people who believe in it and the high trust in bitcoin as the mother of cryptocurrency. until now bitcoin still dominates in cryptocurrency, even there are still many people who think that cryptocurrency is bitcoin. therefore if bitcoin experiences a reversal, then the opportunity for altcoins to jump higher

If we want to see Altcoins, the easiest thing is to look at the price of Bitcoin, it must be admitted that the effect of bitcoin is too strong so that it can affect the market, if the price of dropping then Altcoins will follow and vice versa.

When bitcoin pumps, alts dump. When bitcoin dumps, alts dump. When bitcoin goes sideways, alts pump. Alts only pump while bitcoin pumps during a bullrun. You can either just hold BTC or buy some POS cryptos like NEAR, ICP, CNDL and stake them until you have enough money to retire.

Really hard to stick out with some patterns because it cant really be just happening most of the time where pumps could neither be going along or would be totally goes opposite. It does vary on certain conditions

but if we do look back into the past movements then you could really say that it would really be that totally in random.Altcoins could neither go up doesnt basing on BItcoin trend but we cant really just able to avoid

or make out conclusions that whenever bitcoin is on a dumping state then most of coins been dragged on eventually or most of the time which is something that you should really anticipate or expect
when this happens.

Most of the time altcoins follow the bitcoin market movements. It can lead to price pumping as well as dump. The price rally can never be conclusive on specific market pattern. It varies and we need to make changes to the holdings, so that portfolio won't get disturbed much. An easy choice is to invest when the bitcoin market is bearish, and sell when the market turns bullish.

You know, when I started my way in crypto, I didn’t have any mentors and had to learn from my own mistakes and so on. It’s a pity that I didn’t know about Bitcointalk then. I could ask a lot. So if you need my advice then I would recommend you to pay attention to DREEM Metaverse. Just look them up on the Internet and you will understand why I strongly advise you to pay attention to them.

In order to monitor the market, we can simply track the movement of bitcoin in order to determine the current trend of the market. Bitcoin is still dominating the market, bitcoin capitalization still accounts for nearly 50% of the market capitalization. so we will hardly see an altcoin that will go against the trend with bitcoin. The entire market is still dependent on bitcoin.
our task when bitcoin is experiencing a rally is to find potential altcoins to buy. if we can be observant to take advantage of this moment then we can get a fantastic income. it is almost certain that many altcoins will follow the movement of bitcoin, as is the case in bearish times like today, where almost all altcoins have decreased too, some have even reached a 90% decline, and are altcoins like that worth buying, I think back to DYOR

bitcoin is the creator of this cryptocurrency market so it is not surprising that bitcoin is dominating the entire market,
unlike other markets, like stocks, all work independently and trends depend on the development of the company behind that stock
but in cryptocurrency, no matter how good your coin is, you still have to follow the movement of bitcoin, cannot go against the trend of bitcoin
bitcoin is the biggest trust maker for the market, once bitcoin is dumped all coins will follow, once confidence in bitcoin is increased, bitcoin will rise and altcoins will follow

it is certain that all altcoins follow the growth of bitcoin, because bitcoin is the main foundation of the crypto market and is an investment that is prioritized by every people, this can be seen clearly when BTC has increased altcoins also have increased and vice versa, and I think bitcoin is creator of the cryptocurrency market so it is not surprising that bitcoin can dominate the entire existing market.

domination. It can be explained as follows: In some cases, people feel at risk and go to the safe place bitcoin. It doesn't matter if it's rising or falling, this increases the dominance of bitcoin. As bitcoin dominance increases, money flows from altcoins to bitcoin, which means altcoins fall but bitcoin rises. In some cases, bitcoin doesn't change much. There is no risky situation. People prefer to buy altcoins over bitcoin, which means dominance drops. Thus, the altcoin price rises.

I have a different view from you, where what is said to be dominance is that everything can be arranged and follow its movements, for example bitcoin, altcoins always follow the movement of bitcoin both down and up, this is because the dominance of BTC is very high and has a very important role with market changes, the most important thing to remember is investing in crypto is something that is very risky and there is no safe point there, because we will never know what will happen in the crypto world in the, but when viewed from the popularity BTC and some altcoins, have a very bright future, because their popularity from time to time is getting higher and more and more in demand by everyone for investment because it can provide profits.

If the Bitcoin chart turns green, then Alt also turns green. And it has a very correlation relationship with Alt. We know the owners of the Alt project have Bitcoin reserves to pump their coins at any time.
Apart from that, the Alt to BTC sell order will also bring changes to the chart.
For example ETH/BTC if the Bitcoin price increases and the chart turns green, the ETH chart will automatically turn green, even though the order value remains the same.

indeed most of the time when bitcoin goes up altcoins also go up but there are also altcoins that are slow to follow the price increase, and that's because it depends on the person who buys the altcoin, if those who buy a lot of the price will be high, if those who buy it don't, it will be too late to go up. I think it depends on the purchase.
Yeah, the market varies based on the volume being traded. This situation is being felt at present. The price of bitcoin have grown by 3.3% whereas the ethereum have fallen by 2% which isn't a big change. It is something based on the variation between the buying. Now more people could've moved from altcoins towards bitcoin which seems like the reason for the growth of bitcoin and decline with altcoins.

If we want to see the market conditions then just look at the price of Bitcoin, this has been going on for a long time because Altcoins always follow the trends that occur with Bitcoin, maybe there is Altcoin that can go against the flow but I'm sure it will not happen for a long time.
What do you think about stablecoins? I think stablecoins move against Bitcoin.
I often see the prices of stablecoins increasing whenever the price of Bitcoin is decreasing. People often move their assets to stablecoins once the Bitcoin price drops. So, in this matter, it is untrue that the price of altcoins always follows the Bitcoin trend. In fact, there is altcoins (stable coins), that don't follow the Bitcoin trend.
This will only apply to stablecoins that are pegged to commodity assets or with national currencies, so apart from that I think almost all altcoins on the market will always follow the movement of btcoin because bitcoin is the only coin that determines the price movement of other coins in the market and so far it has been proven that we often see when there is a decline experienced by bitcoin, it will make other coins also experience a decline, even exceeding the decline experienced by bitcoin.

If I think about the correlation between Bitcoin and Altcoins, you also know that between them both Bitcoin and Altcoins, the movements are sometimes compatible, or even opposite. An example occurred in mid-May this year, where the price of Bitcoin and Altcoin collapsed simultaneously, but their relationship was HTS, aka a relationship without status.
So overall, one can see Bitcoin as a less risky and more certain investment option. Meanwhile, most new altcoins are usually very risky, especially when their market cap is low. However, in most market situations, the price of Altcoins can be closely related to the price of Bitcoin. Altcoins often follow Bitcoin price movements with slight to large differences.

BTC has always been the standard of market performance, if Bitcoin rises then Altcoins also rises or vice versa, this is difficult to replace because investors always make Bitcoin for assets, even though Marketcap and Daily Trading are getting smaller but I'm sure Bitcoin will always be standard and market size whether red or green.
And most of the pairs in the market are with bitcoin and it's everywhere. That's why whenever bitcoin pumps, the alts are also doing the same manner.
This is hard to replace and even people think that it's likely that the motion of bitcoin will be changed and alts won't follow it at the right time, they're wrong on that assumption.
Because the fact is that bitcoin will always be the king and alts are just minions on this market.

Altcoin and btc are two different platform so altcoin are not follow btc but some cases some altcoin are follow .
altcoin are very profitable but if you want any new altcoin so first check the roadmap and all important thing check there community and there team work .

The presence of a stable coin makes the position of Bitcoin decreases, even the largest daily transaction volume at this time is stable coins, although the influence of Bitcoin continues to decline but we must admit that it still has an impact on the market, it is proven that the price of BTC is down, it is certain that it will be followed by Altcoins.

Does anyone invest in stablecoins? do you invest in them for profit? Definitely not, right?. In my opinion, stable coins do not count in this case, since we are talking about non-bitcoin but potentially profitable coins.
The market leader is still bitcoin, and if bitcoin does not rise, all altcoins will not rise either, or vice versa. Investing in altcoins just looking at the volatility of bitcoin is enough, no need to run after too many other coins

we can't avoid it, because indeed the price of Bitcoin is the determinant of all altcoins,
even Ethereum, Cardano, Solana also follow the price of Bitcoin, when bitcoin drops like today,
then watch!, you will know the answer! yes! all the altcoins today are also dumps,
of course this will still happen if the altcoins are not in season
During the altcoin season there will be variation in the growth between bitcoin and altcoins. The market changes that happened today is more than enough to explain that altcoins follow the market trend of bitcoin. Morning there is a drop and the entire market is marked red and now there is progress with bitcoin and the entire market have turned green.

it is easy, people who believes in crypto trust bitcoin first more than altcoins so it is the reason why altcoins keeps following  bitcoin.

Altcoins follow where bitcoin is moving, and we will see that in market price movements. Bitcoin is at the heart of all altcoins, and it has been since the very beginning and I even think it will continue to happen in the future.
We see what is happening now in the market, when bitcoin is green then altcoins are the same, and vice versa if bitcoin is red, we will see altcoins as well. Investors take signals from the Bitcoin movement because it always dominates the market including the prices of altcoins. No other coin could dominate the market as Bitcoin does because it's the most preferred asset of most investors. They depend on its price every time they decide to accumulate altcoins.
Yes and currently the price of Bitcoin is still going down, making altcoin prices also go down,
the movement of altcoins is still dependent on Bitcoin and that is nothing new,
it's only a matter of time to see the Bitcoin price rise again

yes, that's how it is, but sometimes the big altcoins don't follow the btc rally either, because of course it depends on buying, and also selling, if for example there are less purchases then the altcoin will not follow the btc rally. because after all, the ups and downs of crypto depend on buying and selling.

top altcoins I think are still dependent on Bitcoin,
see yesterday after the Ethereum merge was completed and Cardano will also have a good news hard fork of course these two coins should have increased,
but unfortunately after the FOMC the price of Bitcoin dumped up to $18k and made these two coins also dump,
if you want to invest in altcoins that do not follow the price of Bitcoin then it is better to invest in stable coins
