Of all cryptocurrencies, why doge? as a crypto enthusiast myself, I love sharing my experiences with Bitcoin and other cryptcies with my friends, I often get to start off my sharing with DOGECOIN rather than Bitcoin, why is it you say? Well since my friends (at least in my circle of friends) know a lot and love doge memes, I then start off the topic by talking about doge and how popular doge is, then I finally start to tackle about dogecoin being an actual digital currency (I decided to say digital currency so they'd have an idea instead of cryptocurrency) and after a short explanation they are then ought to believe with what I'm saying by showing that I am actually earning dogecoins, and after a few months, they've started planning to actually buy dogecoins and see for themselves, it's actually an easier way to make them benefit with cryptocurrency using other cryptocurrency rather than just by relying on Bitcoin.

Yeah, I do possess a similar circle. If I straightly start explaining Bitcoin, I don't think they will listen to me till the end but if we can explain in a way of their interest, they will not only listed totally but also try to implement what we say. However, if they understood properly, I think routing them to invest in BTC rather than in DOGE will be good for their health.  ;D

It's great if you introduce Dogecoin to your friends, even though Dogecoin is cute and affordable to invest in, Dogecoin is a coin that is widely used by gambling sites, the beginning to get to know Altcoin is good you introduce it to your friends, what's more today Dogecoin has an increase in terms of price, that is: if your friend buys about 2-3 weeks that have passed he has already made a profit.

You may want to introduce some other Altcoins to your friends such as ADA, XRP, XLM, XEM etc, may also have good value for the future, so that your friends are convinced that Altcoins have a good opportunity to invest, maybe.

absolutely right, this is the same thing that i do. because Dogecoin is a coin that is said to be safe when investing. Dogecoin is an alternative when we can't buy Bitcoin. the people I tell, they really enjoy it. coupled today with a tweet from Elon Musk who has pumped up Dogecoin for a pretty good price.

That's great, you helped the crypto community becomes wide, and probably once your friends will fully understand what crypto is, they surely do the same as what you'd did to them.  I appreciated people who are willing to spend time just to educate other people that didn't know what is a cryptocurrency, I hope you explain to them very well also the possible risk of investing in either altcoins or Bitcoin and Dogecoin is a good start to invest.

People become greedy if you will talk first about the profit that we potentially get upon investing in crypto, but if you talk about how important and usage of crypto to us, they might understand the function and how will work this crypto so that they can avoid the possible risk.

Good effort to help the crypto adoption gets increased but when we introduce people to the cryptocurrency we should approach them as currency rather than an investment digital assets because once you get attracted with the money you are making from those coin then they also will start investing on cryptocurrency but both people have different knowledge level in crypto space so it is not possible to make same amount of profit even they may lose their capital in the volatility or for scammers.

that's what we need to do to get anyone closer to cryptocurrency. because in this case providing knowledge to others will be very useful. Moreover, introducing Dogecoin is very good, so here we are not only explaining about bitcion, in fact there are opportunities other than bitcoin that can be achieved with minimal capital by people who want to invest in cryptocurrency.

I think this is a good idea! Learning by sending bitcoin around could end up being more expensive. And people learn by playing around and not taking things too seriously. Being constantly afraid that they mess up every transaction. Basics are same anyway and there's a high change that they see the value in this pretty quickly.

Whether dogecoins, bitcoins or ethereum or any altcoins. It depends to your explanation and the enthusiasm that you're showing to them.
And also, the people you're talking about it. You are lucky because your friends are very much interested of knowing more about it.

not bad, because Doge is also one of the old cryptos that still survive today. just like eth, btc, and ltc, Dogecoin is easily accepted by everyone. Although this coin has no definite purpose, Doge is perfect for beginners who want to learn crypto. Give them some doges and see what they'll do with the coin.

This is actually good, but you have to tell and explain the best and most profitable coins like Bitcoin or Ethereum and any other coins you know besides Dogecoin.
but over time they will deepen and learn more, especially about bitcoin, because new people will be excited when starting they have made huge profits and will be motivated.

As for where I live Bitcoin is already very popular to the extent that most people knows about it and when you talk about any other cryptocurrency they’ would ask questions like ‘is it another thing like Bitcoin?’ lol.

So, Bitcoin is the major thing for most of them and that’s what they know. I have never talked to anyone about cryptocurrency and talk about altcoins, I usually start with Bitcoin and when I have taught them all the things they need to know about Bitcoin, I then break everything down to them and let them know that there are also other cryptocurrencies, which are known as altcoins.

i have a small circle, but then when i introduced them to crypto.
i explain the risks at first, i dont need to hyped them and just charge directly without a handful of knowledge
needless to say its better for them to be equipped with basic knowledge and what to do and donts.

What a fascinating story. I cant believe that Doge does make a person consider of buying cryptocurrency. Everyone loves meme, including me. By having a great story of a meme coin, we can lure a person to the crypto trap lol.

I guess we can only do this with young people. We cant use this method to elderly because they dont even know what memes are. There are several ways to approach old people but IMO, it is waste of time because sooner or later, they will pass away. Moreover, they dont like new technology. The dont have the eagerness to learn new things changing around them

I'm reluctant to introduce newcomers with altcoins, prolly cause there are quite a lot of altcoins and many are more or less pump or dump, when i want to talk to a group of friends, or a friend about crypto, though I can't remember the last time I did, I always start with Bitcoin, cause I'm sure that's the crypto they must surely have heard of, if they've heard of any; and imo Bitcoin, it's history, it's events and other whatnots about it, is definitely going to pique their interest in crypto generally. Having said that, imo, if anyone understands the basics about Bitcoin, and some of its technicalities, then understanding altcoins is going to be easy.

Good for you @OP, you do not have a hard time explaining about DOGE because your friend already knows it.  You just need a little push and then.. voila!  They get what you wanted to convey because they already had an interest in the topic.  I also commend you for using terms that are familiar to them since they can easily grasp the idea.  Honestly, Doge is also the reason why I am in the cryptocurrency community.

it doesn't matter if you start introducing a crypto currency like DOGE to your friends, this is a good start and over time they will also know for themselves what Bitcoin or other crypto may be more profitable than DOGE. But I'm not saying DOGE is bad.

Well Bitcoin is Bitcoin, it will always remain the leader of the whole cryptocurrencies but Doge is just an easy altcoin an a powerful one. Nice choice buddy. You can also share with them some dogecoins to make them happy. Also, thanks for spreading the word and letting them know.

It's understandable that the dogecoin meme contest was a success and it gives the coin more exposure but cryptocurrency is a serious investment that needs to be treated more than just fun and dogecoin to only be an entertaining/online reward coin was the reason most whales investors never support it.
Nevertheless, I also start my crypto joining with dogecoin, it was among the reputable crypto then, and it not among the powerful ones now.

Your case is very peculiar, most people are going to know about bitcoin and no other coin which is why it is the coin most people try to get their friends and family members to adopt, anyway good job in getting your friends into this market, just try to explain to them not only the benefits of this market but also the risks, like the huge amount of scammers and the crashes that happen from time to time, after all if they suffer economic losses you do not want them to blame you because of it.

DOGECOIN has an other advantage for new comers,

As a first investment, you can own multiple DOGECOIN and not only a small fraction of one DOGECOIN. (hello BTC !)

not a wrong step, but it is much better if the first time you introduce it should be bitcoin. thus people can easily find crypto other than bitcoin. around me is more dominant and the majority know what bitcoin is than Dogecoin.

if I use Bitcoin. it is very easy to explain crypto using Bitcoin, because bitcoin is the first crypto coin and is very profitable now. Usually I explain about the advantages and functions of blockchain. the way bitcoin is not bound by regulations, and of course how to get money from bitcoin. explaining crypto trading is not that difficult, when compared to forex or stocks. so it looks easy even if I'm not an expert. if my friend is interested in bitcoin and crypto, then I explain everything about easy crypto from Dapps, privacy coins, Defi and crypto trading in more detail.

I have never considered this before! I have been involved with crypto world for years now and I have never really considered it something very serious and something that is more politically charged as well, can't believe that I never considered something like this before.

I personally talked to my friends about bitcoin and ethereum, most recently about defi, all to convince them to get involved, even if they do not spend a lot of money, at least try to earn some by doing some work if they can (most of them can freelance). However it is very hard to get them involved the hardest part is to get them start, after that things are not that bad because they get involved and actually find it fun and profitable but that first part is always the hardest part. Using doge to make it more fun and just a joking matter could make them more interested.

It is a good step to start introducing crypto to your friends. Rather than giving them a huge expectation of earnings from crypto, as they get involved with dogecoin they will slowly learn bout other crypto and who knows dig deeper, and learn more about crypto. I never encourage my friends to learn about crypto just because of it's potential for earning, but for its convenience and use case.

That's great! It would help the community of DOGECOIN and the DOGECOIN itself because of the additional people who uses it besides bitcoin. Its a good start for beginners who want to learn something in the world of cryptocurrency. Bitcoin for others when heard, may become a big word for them because a lot of people is gaining profit from it. They would think that they will handle a big responsibility when holding a bitcoin but instead introducing first dogecoin would make them feel that the responsibility is lighter than bitcoin.

It's a very good step indeed. That is what Elon Musk trying to do nowadays. He is trying to introduce altcoins with DOGE. I am suspicious about that maybe he was creator of DOGE also. But anyway even some people are angry at him at least he is promoting altcoins in a viral way.

Yes, that's right, if the king of coins like Bitcoin is already recognized, then indirectly that person will look for other alternative tokens that have support like Bitcoin, whether it's Dogecoin or others, which is clear they will find out about other tokens apart from Bitcoin itself.

Clearly not broken? I dont disagree with Dogecoin to be one of the genuinely decentralized altcoin but it concept was the reason most cryptocurrency investors dont consider it to be worth invest in cause crypto is a serious investment setting not just a meme which won't interest whales investors.

Introducing altcoins like Dogecoin to your friends isn't a wrong idea as long as you're able to explain everything well including its risks and benefits. You also have to help them understand the value and edge of topcoins like Bitcoin and Ethereum. It's fine to teach your friends coins that you're comfortable with because you'll be able to relate and share your experiences as good proof of investing with it.

That's really great that you started introducing Dogecoin first of all it's a combination of meme and cryptocurrency also I think the Doge coin was created for educational purposes and I think that's good move to start with Dogecoin.

Dogecoin is fairy easy way of making people understand how crypto works. It's cheap, fast and works on whole numbers.
But when people are interested in crypto, they are looking for a few different things and one of the most prominent is investment and eventual profitable return of it. For it, Bitcoin and newer potential alts would be an better option. If they are into blockchain tech and development, side chain solutions like Ethereum would have better significance.

When viewed from several different sides, Dogecoin does not look like a joke, although not many people have benefited from Dogecoin, but in terms of volume and interest there are still very many when compared to other joke tokens.

I think that is a good start to introduce people to using dogecoin. They can buy that coin at a low price while also holding the coin for some time. I think that is a good choice for dogecoin to buy and hold because dogecoin is one of the hidden gems that can increase someday. But this coin is unpredicted because we do not know when this coin will increase.

Coins that are less costly are good for introductions, you can conveniently send to your friends for them to give a try, Dogecoin, Litecoin, XRP, TRON are still very much affordable so you can do some give out to make them develop some interest or not

It's nice that you are introducing cryptocurrency to your friends, well any coin will do as long as they would understand the concept on how does it work. Well I first introduce cryptocurrency some basic terms I usually lead them to watching youtube videos.

Your bitcoin wallet has the option to allow you to see your holdings in mBTC or in any other denomination that you want and taking into account that a mBTC right now is the equivalent of roughly 27 dollars that is low enough for people to begin to think in full units so the advantage that you claim that dogecoin has is purely cosmetic in my opinion and without a doubt bitcoin is the best investment among the two so if possible I think that at first we should introduce whoever we want to come to this market to bitcoin and nothing more.

To be honest, I think Dogecoin is very good when used in daily activities. Besides the very affordable price, Dogecoin also has fast transaction speeds. If mass adoption of bitcoin/crypto occurs, I believe Dogecoin will be the best alternative

You should tell your friends a little about the doge background. Apart from that, the hype has passed and you should also point out the history of past doge prices (before going viral) which to be flat.

Not to sound bitter but Dogecoin isnt really much a wise choice if you and your friends are really targeting on making profits.It would be much more better if
you directly told them about bitcoin but well its your choice.

Sooner or later, that friend of yours will definitely be curious about Bitcoin specially if they do engage too much in crypto market.They would able to tell
the difference when they do engage with Bitcoin and other alts.

I agree that Dogecoin is very good when used in daily activities, but I do not agree that Dogecoin has transaction speed, previously I used Dogecoin and the transaction speed was around 30 seconds to 1 minute, very different when compared to XRP, XLM or EOS which has a transaction speed of under 10 seconds.
However Dogecoin is not a bad choice to invest there as Dogecoin's market cap rating is still within the top 100.

Dogecoin can be called a coin that is light to buy, easy to use, simple to trade and fun to hold. I really like the existence of DOGE, even though I don't use it to introduce cryptocurrency to my friends or family. Until now, I have used Doge to transfer small assets because of the very low transaction fees.

We can introduce any project to our friends as long as you explain very well the project and of course make sure that your friend will not blame you if they lose the money on this market. I'm tired of doing this honestly, because most of my friends are still not interested and I don't want them to blame me if they lose money, so I let this one go and focus on my own goals but if someone asked me about cryptocurrency then of course I'm willing to help them.

That's right, we should not force them to invest on cryptocurrency because they will blame us for sure. Just give the right information and encourage them as well to learn on their own because if they will just depend on you, then its useless for them. Dodgecoin is a great coin before and its cheap until now, I just don't like introducing altcoins to my friends because I know the risk, Bitcoin is way more safer for me.

Am not entirely going to fully lean on Dogecoin of course, rather than a stepping stone for them to gain information on cryptocurrency, nothing will hurt if I introduce them to something they like, after knowing dogecoin, we'll be moving on to the major ones like Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.

Introducing crypto through Meme as well as shared hobbies is great and inspiring. maybe not many think the same as me, but in my opinion degecoin is indeed better if it is used as an everyday payment system, at a more affordable price and at a good speed, those are some of the advantages of using Doge. It is bitcoin that's the best crypto to be introduced to your friends. But we all agree that it's also a good coin to be the first thing to be known by our friends.
Not that much expensive unlike the other coins and there's not that much hate on this coin.

Most of the newbie sure heard of BTC this is why they mostly focus on it trying to get just a fraction of BTC.

Introducing them to doge will make them react differently and will have more questions after. Eventually you will have to say to them that there are thousands more of cryptocurrencies, its just that BTC is the most famous.

Indeed, we can introduce any project that we want as long as we are explaining everything that is important and that is good for them and what they need to know. Explaining cryptocurrency to a beginner is difficult but if you try to explain it while showing every information or showing some videos for them to easily understand. That will help them to gain knowledge and have curiosity in their mind and they will try to invest. Try to recommend some good projects that are worth investing in, so they won't blame you for losing their money.

Even though the price of Doge is cheap, but the support is strong, just look at Elon Musk's recent tweet which went viral about Doge, making the price go up by around 20%. Even new users can take advantage of tips in the various telegram communities to collect doges, with strong community support, collecting doges can be fun, and a great way to learn crypto.

I too have also used DOGE to introduce crypto to my friends. It was a long time ago and so far they are still doing trades using the said coin. DOGE may not be a good investment, but it is a good trading coin that can help you try to practice trading. Once you are proficient in trading DOGEs then you can now be able to move on to other alts. I would recommend to those who are starting in Cryptocurrency to start with DOGE and learn how to be a good trader using the said coin.

Providing ideas that captures interest is very important, investment always have risk so it is not easy to convince other people to just simply jump in and follow you, there are explanations that needed to discuss to allow those people to start believing and begin to take their own journey.


This is a trick since Bitcoin is very high cost investment, looking for another alternative is very important, as investors can start with small amount of money to begin this investment, just don't let them to start without further knowledge about the investment that they'll going to take.

Why not Doge, not because they are not in the top 10 they cannot be an example of a good coin to invest, a good Cryptocurrency should have a good community, low transaction fee, and fast to confirm, all of these define DogeCoin that is why after many years they ares till here, they may be not be on the top but they are likely to stand bad times.

bitcoin isnt the only crypto but there are thousands of them and not all people recognize bitcoin when it comes to cryptocurrency talks .

Haha. Jokes aside whatever you want to use it as a metaphor to get people into crypto it's good for decentralization and also for them to know the technology.

That's good and I don't really think the coin you start with really matters, but the one thing that highly matters is the knowledge being passed down to them, it is with this knowledge that they will be able to proceed further into other cryptocurrencies. Most people starts with Bitcoin, since it is the first and most prominent coin, while others starts with Ethereum and so on, just like I said, the knowledge they get afterwards is the thing that really matters, because to a great extent they are better than those who just starts without having any prerequisite knowledge about crypto, the security of wallets, how to be safe from scammers and so on.
In the same way, where many people learnt on their own through making some mistakes, others had people who helped them through teaching them what they need to know. So you did very well, and I believe they will be happy and appreciative on the long run.

In my opinion, Dogecoin is best coins that you can introduce to your friends and colleagues. First of all it is very cheap to buy them, also many are trading DOGE and able to use it to earn a little profit using dogecoin. I mean if I have the proper equipment, hell, I might as well try to mine Dogecoins also. Anyway, If ever one is interested in learning the ropes of Cryptocurrency then I would strongly suggest them to try trading using DOGE.

as different pupils have with distinctive on nature, the way might took with options as there are alot with chance to manipulate pupils as introducing new business with the crypto finance that someday they should become thankfull for the information.

Dogecoin is the perfect coin to introduce someone new in the market because of its low transaction charges as well as the low valuation and you could learn about securing your assets and then shift the focus on bitcoin.

doge coin is a good coin that has a high volume and demand in every market but that makes me less interested doge coin has a very high total supply
other than that the price is difficult to predict anytime can go up and down for now the price is too high I personally doubt about investing in Doge coin

You have done week by bringing light go people to cryptocurrency but it would have make more sense if you do that through a well adopted currency especially with the ones that are making real products through outside crypto.
The last time I check doge, it was influence by pump and dump influencers especially the ones on twitter and Tiktok. I saw a tweet by a porn Star who hold some doge weeks back, her tweet alone pump doge by 100% and dump back to where it currently stands.

I honestly think Dogecoin is a good start, everyone loves that 'doge meme' that trended way back on the year 2012, 9 years later, people are still using it as a meme and it has upgraded, just like Dogecoin, it's not only a meme and in the future, Dogecoin looks to be a lot promising than the other alts and has the potential to surpass them, so I think not only for the memes and for me to lure my friends onto cryptocurrency, I did it because I know Dogecoin has that potential to surpass other alts, or even Bitcoin, but that's a wild guess, and speaking of Dogecoin, there's a sudden pump to it, let's see if this continues.

the right choice if you use Dogecoin as a form of investment in your future .. because Dogecoin is the best altcoin in my opinion and maybe so do you think. by using Dogecoin we can make transactions with lower fees from market to market and from wallet to wallet than we use other altcoins. Using doge coin is actually a good idea specially for beginners..
