Title: The Uniswap platform gives unexpected gifts. Merry Christmas!
Post by: volbit on December 21, 2020, 06:12:27 PM
either it was a server error or my luck, but clearly I wanted to exchange a small amount of BASE tokens and was very lucky that I got 100x what I traded.
I swapped 135 BASE which equates to the current selling price of around $ 62 and after doing a second swap agreement / got 5 ETH : $ 3046  ::)

Congrrats. care to share your tx?

Maybe the person has mistakenly bid for a high price. 5 eth for a small amount of Base might not be fair to him. If you find out would you be willing to return it back? Just asking ;D

Anyway, the fees in Uniswap is also getting high, my pending transactions piled up already.

I wouldn't trust such a post shared by a newbie that have just joined our forum in the last week, i'm considering this an advertisement for uniswap.
Could you share the transaction id? i care to know whether it was by luck or by mistake and i would like to know if it's going to happen with someone else or is it a glitch.
Anyway, i shouldn't be writing these words above, i'm just going to say Merry Christmas to you, enjoy your gift lucky boi!

Uniswap doesnt need anymore advertisement and i do feel out that OP is just trying to share out some lucky situation he had here yet he had
that BASE token neither this thing is true or not then he wont lose anything if hes just shilling out something but it seems he had really
earned that much. I would like to say that this one is a lucky guy yet not all would really be having this kind of chance.
Btw, how he had swap or able to gain those BASE?

Or is he just promoting the BASE token here?
Because there is really no need for UNI to be advertised especially he is still a newbie.
We will believe his claim if he will share the transaction.
Otherwise, just a cheap strategy to promote this token.
I don't think UNI will give that kind of gift to its users. If this is true, more than likely, just a glitch in their system.

Any link of the transaction to support the claim?

If you're into base token or you're part of it. What you do is shilling but if by means that you're telling a real story, you have to back up that claim with any proof that we're gonna believe.

Otherwise, you're just obviously highlighting base with capitalized characters.

I can't believe what you are saying if you didn't even provide tx hash to the your transaction on uniswap. People can argue whatever they have earned from there. There will always be a lot of questions about that on the telegram group and im still seeing nothing on there.
It looks like you are only trolling us with your unproven statements above.

5 ETH is a lot. If they (uniswap) were giving out unexpected gifts then I am very sure they would have made an announcement or there would be a lot of noise from the community about it just like it was the case with the airdrop. My guess is you just got lucky that the other trader made a grave mistake.

Sorry, I can't provide Tx proof, believe it or not, but it's up to you. To be sure, I got a Christmas present this year.  ::)

and maybe I won't return it, because it's already mine. What if it's in your position man? I also wouldn't think you would return it?  ;D

It could've been an error, there was no announcement from Uniswap that there is a give away or another form of airdrop for this season. I wouldn't expect anyone in crypto to return what they have received since everything is anonymous. Congratulations on your Christmas gift, tho.

without proof of transaction we do not believe what you say.
There is no official announcement from Uniswap that there is an event like you said, the system error that you are experiencing is also impossible.
but if you don't want to provide proof of the transaction, it's up to you
don't forget to give charity to others

How can? do you have proof? I don't really believe in beginners because most beginners are just talking nonsense here. even if it's a bug, surely some people will experience the same thing as you but what I see is not one person posting the same incident as you

I'm pretty sure it's not an error. It's obvious that OP is trolling us with this to promote a shitcoin. If there really is an error in their server, they will advice their traders to stop trading for now to address this, but there's none.

he doesn't give any feedback for other who have been asking him about the proof if that was a real thing and that means there's a bug on uniswap but i have the different opinion about that. If that's true and there will be a lot of noise in the various group that was using uniswap actively to swap their coins.
I doubt it's a real thing dude.

Damn. You are the luckiest badass ever. Not many people have a good condition like you in 2020 where both recession and pandemic takes place. Try to use your money smart. Dont invest in any project which you dont have any information on. I bet that the luck will continue to follow you for the rest of 2021. Keep moving forward my friend

Will you share your transaction ID for us. I guess many people (including me) want to see this magnificent trade

Of course you can give a tx proof. Could you at least provide erc20 wallet address you've sent base to uniswap? Of course you wont be able to do it. You will find hundred of excuses not to give any proof. Strange to read that Uniswap gave unexpected gifts only to you and none has noticed that was such an error on Ethereum network/Uniswap.

Btw, why you have registered December 16, but made your first post only yesterday and already trying to promote base tokens.

is this one of your ways to promote BASE tokens? This is the bounty link that I got https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5284450.0, even there was a commotion about the distribution of participant tokens, they cheated by closing the telegram group and spreadsheet
I also do not know whether what you are saying is true or not on Uniswap

I love uniswap because here you can track the entire trading history
Base Protocol(BASE)
https://info.uniswap.org/token/0x07150e919b4de5fd6a63de1f9384828396f25fdc
The liquidity pool operates according to its own rules.
This is possible when the number of USDT tokens on the pool exceeds the number of BASE tokens by 5 times, but I will not believe you until I see the link.

I just heard about the coin BASE, after I saw in the telegram group BASE and telegram Uniswap there were no notifications about some kind of Christmas giveaway, web updates, server problems etc.
but, as long as you are unable to provide detailed evidence of your transaction history then we will all think that what you are saying is a lie. but whatever it is, congratulations if you do get it, hopefully it's not bullshit  ;D

I am waiting for OP reply to show us the proof by providing us the transaction on both the Base swap and the ETH reward.  It has been a day ever since he created this thread and no reply from him to clear those oppositions.  So I think this thread is to promote either uniswap (which I don't think is the case) or the BASE trapping people to look for it with this kind of thread.

I wonder why you cannot provide a tx proof as it can be easily access via etherscan. But if what you are claiming is genuine then I am happy for you as you received an early and rare gift from Uniswap.

But I am puzzled how it was happened as Uniswap will not create a mistake like that for sure knowing that I have used uniswap pretty often and I didn't encounter this kind of scenario and I didn't hear also from their forum or social channels for this kind of mistake.

I agree. An account with two messages bears little resemblance to truthful ones. However, there is no evidence of this.
This leads me to believe that the purpose of this message is to send people to search for uniswap in a search engine, which means there may already be phishing sites in the search bar.
Be carefull. Quite a few people have already lost money on a fake uniswap.

^ I think you are just making it up, if so please include a TXID and a screenshot showing that you really did get 5 ETH in the transaction. And I think this is almost impossible, because Uniswap is a huge platform with good technology and security support and is already being used by many people with a large trading volume. So the chance of error is very small.

You can provide it.

We won't believe if there's no proof that that transaction is existing unless it's just a made-up story. If that's for real and you treat it as a Christmas present, we won't be jealous whatever happened to you.

It just a matter of realness and transparency if it's real or not.

Agreed, he was only create a trolling thread about his reward. Uni swap never stated if there will be a new airdrop and it's clearly stated on uniswap's social media account if any airdrop or event that was mentioning uniswap just a scam.
UNI was the last airdrop that created by uniswap.

You know OP is lying but you still commented which contradicted what you just said.

People will post to this shitpost because they are either stupid enough to believe this or just trying to increase their post count by saying "OP is a liar blah blah blah."

IDK why this thread is still alive. I thought mods delete this kind of things.

There is no way it can happen, before you swap uniswap platform will tell you how much you can get for ETH, but if thats really happen probably there is some one who pump the price and at the same time you sell it. Thats why you got 5 eth, can you share the transaction ledger ? So we can analise why it is can happen to you.

No, I guess that is not real. Even if that is real, we do not know the truth because @OP does not come back here and explain more. I already check on my Uniswap wallet, and I do not see any strange as @OP say, but I am not sure as I do not use Uniswap to trade. If that story is real, that will be the biggest profit to @OP because he can get 5 ETH.

There could possibly be an unannounced promotion just for the constant users of their platform. Some organisations believe unannounced promotion rewards the real customers or users and not those that just want to take advantage of just the promo. It is really the best way to reward the real users of a particular platform.

There is one way to verify if he is telling the truth, just post the transaction link. this is one of the beauty of Blockchain. If this is true, he won't be the only one experiencing this and by now the Uniswap team would have come out with their own assessment of what happen, whether is a bug or what.

In crypto world I definitely wouldn't return it neither, but I do believe him, I have been waiting for a token to actually worth something, it worths literally under 1 dollar, so few cents, as low as 5 cents once but higher now, and at one point it became 22 dollars, just for a quick uptick, I managed to sell 1 because I wasn't sure if it was real, wish I did more, but it was real, so the thing that worth 30-40 cents at the time got sold for 22 dollars at that moment.

It was just like few minutes and it ended up going back to 30-40 cents levels, now over 50 cents a bit, but this doesn't change the fact that there are times when these tokens can be swapped for much much higher than the real price, it must be some people putting wrong numbers or something because in the end we end up with bigger price but for just few minutes which indicates just a mistake.

Yes this sounds like a joke so everyone can laugh together. The uniswap site is unlikely to make mistakes like that, so just think of what the OP said was real and happened so he will be happy with what he got. ;D

its not uniswap error is the bid of someone to buy base token.

its not sure if op is telling the truth though as he also won't provide tx id. looking at Base token, who in the right mind will buy such token there that has scam accusation. this op is likely just shilling for the base project.

i don't think it's true, those newbie accounts (not all of them of course) can come up with some stupid unbelievable stuff, uniswap won't just give away 3000$ in ETH to a random person without saying anything, this is just some BS.
