Title: Coinbene Scam? - Account frozen, Support not Helping (Telegram full of Scammers)
Post by: sydneydean on December 22, 2020, 10:17:54 AM
Hello,

a few days ago I wanted to login to my coinbene account but it says itīs frozen and I should contact support.
I contacted support via their chat widget on the site and via support@coinbene.com

support@coinbene.com then sends an autoreply:
Dear user,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We have received your email and will reply you within 24 hours. If you didn't get the reply after 24 hours, please check your spam or junk box , it might got blocked by your email filter.Your patience will be deeply appreciated.

Thanks for your support
Best Regards,
CoinBene Support Center
'

Since I received no real-person reply within 24 hours (not in Spam/Junk either) I turned to their Telegram group which is infested by scammers with fake support account names. They tell some bogus story why the account is frozen and that the unfreeze process is now running. Then they ask for a security deposit to make sure I am the owner. The deposit is in BTC at around USD 300,- worth. Of course I did not do it.

Does anybody else have this problem with coinbene?
Pretty angry by now this exchange is till operating while locking users out from their account and money.  >:(

Thanks

I've checked the official coinbene telegram here https://t.me/coinbene , but it seems has been moved to https://t.me/CB_coinbene

Can you provide a proof about this one? Does it's from @Miyaleerx?

Simple search on Google you'll find many accusations against this exchanges.

3 coinbene scam (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4955146.0)

For the solution you could be patience to wait little longer or send a new ticket to the support, but don't deposit any funds to them... if they want to make sure you're the owner, they will ask you to submit KYC instead of deposit.

Given that account freezing is usually done to individual accounts. You will be faced with this problem while other users may not. The only people in position to help you right now is the support.

Which kind of support did you use? Was it online/live support or support through sending an email address.

I confirmed this, the problem was not happening globally. I accessed my coinbene around yesterday or the day before yesterday, and again just now, to see if the problem happens globally or, at least, in a mass scale, and found that mine was not affected. Withdrawing fund was not a problem either.

Was there something you do that trigger the freezing? Password reset, or months of inactivity, or anything?

And, I tend to believe the "CB_Coinbene" group is their latest official group, it is the one you'll be redirected to if you accessed them from in-app link.

It's easy to create an account on Coinbene, the site looks very professional. If they wanted to scam you, it doesn't seem entirely in line with expectations because they would do it for $ 300.

They are of little use, then they would get a negative review for what their change is. When did you contact them).

It could also be that they are very busy and that your situation has little priority for them, and that they finish the larger cases first.

There could also be normal reasons that your account is closed, and that they solve this.
