Few days ago a I bought some xlm hoping to make some few bucks for the Xmas, then boom price drops and I can't sell, else I will loose.

I later bought xrp with same mind set, and same thing happened.
Now am stock in between, and Christmas is in two days time 🤣🤣🤣

If I sell any of these coin at this present stage I lose, and if I don't sell my Xmas will be boring, means no going out and no hangingout with friends, I will just be starting at my computer, this is what Cryptocurrencies trading has me to🤣🤣

Well am thinking on sell one of these token and invest the money on the other while I wait for miracle to happen, so which of these two you think is best.

I think what you're trying to differentiate is between XRP and XLM. Well, I guess I'll favor on XLM as there are no selling happen AFAIK compare to XRP that does dump to buyers in the market. I don't think it's best to hold XRP in this stage unless we see some light that it will still continue. Be responsible on your investments.

Well thats the sad truth in day trading, But dont worry you are not alone with that feeling, Me too I bought TRX when it was above $0.038 cents, and now if we check the price it's already two cents I'm losing already? but I'm just set a timeline about it. just remember if you dont sell it you have still a chance to recover your capital and if possible with a minimal profit my advice, Just hold a little bit more time just wait for the final hour.

There's no best between ripple and XRP. Both were creating to be a quick rich scheme only. Jed was getting billions XRP from the premined coin and then he was also getting the same from the XRP too. '
They are not having utility usage but XLM offers a better thing like smartcontract.
As far as i know that if you should not choose one between them all.

Even SEC announcement is not related with XLM we still see that XLM is following XRP. If things go bad for XRP not only XLM will see dump but also others. Many altcoins did the same thing and owners/team of coins sold or mined and then sold their assets later.

What I can say for XLM and XRP is both will follow each other and I think no difference.

But we see from the volatility market. In my experience a few years, IMO I would prefer to avoid trading or holding an asset in the end of the years. The reason? because based on a years history when doing a trade there has some slight correction every time Christmas & New Years'.

The reason could be :
- Everyone wants to spend money on a long holiday from Chrismas & New Years, so they decide to cashout some money from the market.

If you are going to be late you can find yourself losing 50% of your investment in Ripple because there is a massive dump ongoing, but if Ripple can fix the situation this is a good opportunity for investors to buy one of the top coins in the market, remember just last march everybody is dumping Bitcoin but now it is on another all-time high.

I guess it will be different this time considering the pandemic is still at large and people just want to be at home, just my opinion but if we base it on history that will really be the case.

It's a different scenario since bitcoin will still exist they just panic of the global lockdowns but this time there are charges Ripple are facing and it may end if no solutions will be found.

Both of them are in the middle of a crisis. However, dont lose your hope. They are potential coins with advanced technologies. They have been around the crypto world for many years and people will not lose hope on these coins. Sooner or later, investors and whales will jump on and buy a lot of coins for future purposes. Moreover, XRP are in top 5 coins for years and there is no reason that people will skip the opportunity to earn money like this

I try to buy XRP at 0.00001350 on binance but I guess Im too late. If I had a chance, I would use leverage 1:3 to maximize the profit

is the price drop the reason why you prefer xlm or it has anything to do with the technical aspect! price should not be yardstick to qualify a project except the overall fundamental, price drop is not a permanent thing it is temporary,  anyways, am not a fan of either so i won't bother, but if am compel to , then i will most likely choose xlm because xrp is centralized and negate the purpose of blockchain plus the devs are not very transparent with the method of new token release, and also they have an ongoing issue.

I also feel very sad because I still have some XRP stored in my wallet and the price continues to fall closer to this Christmas. I hope the prices will get better soon when Christmas ends. Maybe too many are selling XRP around Christmas, so the price is a dump.

It is my opinion I don't see XLM potential coin because for me the better to invest is the XRP which is really potential and for sure many people will trust this coin that will rise in the future. Having XRP will possible for you to become rich you know why because the value is very low and once it pump like hundred dollars or if it's highest possible value if gonna happen your money will grow very high.

There's no future for XRP. Everyone is against this cryptocurrency so it would be wise to dump it now. It's even funny that both SEC and investors are witch hunting them.

I advice you to just go Bitcoin. More and more institution are trying to get their hands on the pie right which means smaller investors are eyeing Bitcoin too so expect positive trends lasting for a long time. We might even touch $50,000 just next year.

XLM was not facing the big problem like XRP and that's why XLM was still in the safe position. Ripple has faced a very big problem that when XRP lose and all of XRP holders will be loosing their money.
RIpple was facing the legal problem and it's not about the Christmas event dude.

I really feel bad for you OP.
But if you are expecting for miracle to happen then it will become worse.
As if you need instant profit then you need to take more risk, and by seeing the situation of yours, first recover your losses and then think of profits.
It’s better to sell XRP now if you really need some money in hands, as XLM has a chance of going up.
And also it would be better if you do some strong research next time before buying a coin.

in crypto trading you are not limited at your home staring at your computer but as long as you have a smartphone , you can carry your trading life with you anywhere you go .

you can still hang out with your buddies but tell them the truth that you have no money because of the reason that you coins didnt go well . they will understand if they are a good friend and its christmas dude , anybody can treat someone that dont have .

you did not made a mistake of picking xlm and xrp because both of this coins are showing a positive trend but they did dump for a while but they still can recover and give more .

I am kinda biased here, I always like XLM better than XRP for the fact that there is no regular dump from the developer of XLM.   But if you ask me, I'd rather hodl both than selling them at a loss.  Christmas season will pass and all the happenings will become a memory that will be soon forgotten or replaced by a much better memory if XLM and XRP market rally for the next couple of months.  So I say, have patience both token market have the potential of surging especially after this Bitcoin bull season.

Exactly, some people just like convincing others about xrp as a good and best project to invest on, to me, i don't see anything outstanding about xrp for it to be on top 3 on cmc in the first place, the project don't have any distinctive features that gives it such recognition, although it all depend on individual choices, now that they are facing a law suit it won't be so easy on investors.

If XRP have law suit ang they lost it, then it is possible that XRP will be dumped into oblivion.  So I guess if you are trap between the two on which to sell, then I think letting go of XRP and just accept the losses is a better choice.  

Ripple may face these crises all the time, but they will overcome them all. Ripple technology will be used for many years. I would choose Ripple between the both. The final decision is yours  :)

With the recent lawsuit against XRP, I think it won't go back to the price you bought it and we see that the price declines so fast today. If you know you can't lose, Try holding it but if you can't sit back and watch the price go down and down then sell it.

I don't know if you want to get a quick profit or you've experienced FOMO because it seems that you bought those coins without analyzing the situation first.

If you ask which one is the best between these two option, maybe each person has their own opinion. So i will give my opinion about this comparison so can help you to take an action which one to sell for Xmas usage and which one to keep holding it.
About functionality, decentralization, and token distribution, steller will be the winner. Meanwhile for about quality of team background, coin market cap volume, and inflation policy ripple will be out for the winner.

in my opinion,Both altcoins have a good chance of both XLM and XRP to provide huge profits for the traders who hold them. Both altcoins have the potential to disrupt the banking industry, so having the ability to send money anywhere in the world instantly is something that will drive demand for these cryptocurrencies even more. increase in the long run. Both altcoins serve as a tool for cross-border payments which are quite valuable and if both play a large enough role so that the demand for these altcoins can increase and of course have an impact on the increase of both in the market.

Oh, you're in a very difficult situation right now. I think the good thing you can do is to hold on, don't sell your coins at loss and find other way to make your Christmas day happy and boring. That two digital currency are both good and with great future but you need more patience if you want to gain profit and not loses.

Xrp has been having issues for a while and I think now it's facing a more serious issues. I would prefer xlm over xrp for long term but Short term is for ripple.

I can feel how you feel, because maybe your Xmas will be boring if you can't sell the XRP and XLM you have. That is the risk of

Actually, if the money you use to buy XRP and XLM is cold money, you just need to be patient waiting for them to recover.
But since you want to celebrate Xmas with this money, it's best to sell either XLM or XRP. In my opinion, it is better to sell
XLM whose prices don't go down too deeply, so the loss you experience is not that big.

There's no best coins from both. XLM and XRP just the same like bitconnect. It was only making the owner become the richest person. It was no offering the utility usage. People should have aware about that. There's no reason to buy XLM or XRP. People will get rekt if buy these scam coins.

Ouch buddy, XRP just got dumped by 35% in the last 24h! Stellar also got dumped by almost 20% in the last 24h. I hope that you took at least your choice earlier and you've sold with a loss at least you'll have an amount to spend at the christmas. It's a bleedy christmas i think, be safe guys.

XLM done great so far and XRP instantly moves down. However, when it comes to usage I prefer to buy XRP or ripple because I can use it more than XLM. When I send money through my main wallet to exchanges or vice versa, I always use ripple for transaction since it has only a small fee and fast transaction. However, when it comes to investment I want to stay in bitcoin nowadays. I don't think altcoins can fight in btc dominance. But between them, I prefer to buy xrp than xlm.

If I personally prefer to invest in XRP, because XRP is already superior to XLM from the ranking on coinmarketcap, so this proves that more people believe to investing in XRP than XLM and of course the volume of XRP is also higher than XLM, therefore it will be possible if the price of XRP increases higher than the price of XLM in the future, so I prefer you to hold your XRP rather than XLM.

I Lost many on xrp today, so i prefer Lumens over that XRP. also lumens was so fast and cheap when i try to transfer between exchange

The ranking usually does not mean anything as it keeps on changing. The price of both these alts have risen a lot and now we have seen a major correction in XRP. If you want to invest in it or any other coin then these are the opportunities to hold them during major corrections rather than investing when the rally started, even still i would move away from those at this point because they had its rally in this market and everyone will be eyeing in bitcoin and ETH.

If you really want to choose between XRP and XLM right now, I guess many will opt for XLM. XRP is in the brink of falling down hard. We don't know what will happen to the SEC's lawsuit and how the XRP team can rectify this situation. Kind of dangerous to venture in XRP right now.

But what I don't get clearly is why everyone is saying they prefer xlm to xrp! is it because xrp is facing some crisis currently?
Let's not forget that bitcoin once has it greatest challenges way back, and the challenges bitcoin faced then is nothing to compared to what xrp is facing right now.

If bitcoin can scale through all the regulations and banned imposed by various institutions of which includes even the government, and then get to this highest point, anything can as well happen to xrp.

I have strong believe that xrp will bounce back, this may just be the beginning of it peak...

Stellar is not being sued by the SEC so it is not in immediate risk of disappearing. It is a safer investment at this moment. They are both centralized coins that could be shut down at any moment. XLM has been more low profile so I don't think anybody will be coming after it any time soon.

Any companies that being created by jed mccalleb is a risky company to be used as investment today. XLM has a strong relationship with XLM caused by JED.
XRP down and XLM too. Avoid to deal with the companies that owned by JED.

Lmao ??? if you’re buying any of these cryptocurrencies with that kind of mind-set then you’re doing it the wrong way. You’re treating cryptocurrency like a means to grab some quick cash when you’re in need of it, as if the market is steady increasing all the time, like you forgot that a volatile market means that your money is heading any direction at anytime.

But you can still wake up the next day and see profit the same way you have seen loss. And another thing I think you forgot is that the market seems to be at its peak and these are coins that are usually reach their peak the same time with Bitcoin, let’s hope they increase more.

XRP & XLM are both good coins. XLM is a lot of potential coins in my opinion. They have a platform of their own. Day by day they are upgrading their projects. Already many projects and launches are currently being done on their platform.

Ok. This situation I would love to suggest XLM rather to XRp although both are doing good . Both are at a good position, . But in recent time xRP has fallen badly that's you XLM would be good for invest in it.

I think both are very different type of projects but somehow they are correlated in price movements which i dont understand why. I like xlm more because it is a more comprehensive blockchain network when compared with xrp as it provides smart contracts and tokenization as well on the other hand xrp wants to strive in payments sector only for now but i do think it is a big project and once it settles the issue with SEC it will just fly.

Ripple falled significantly because of the lawsuit filed against ripple by SEC about selling its own token worth $1.3 billion, ripple at the time fall from $0.5 to $0.25. After was a pump in which was a altcoin season when all the altcoins were pumped and increase price, xrp was also among that was pump that make its price increase above $0.75 again. XLM is also good, the best are good for investment because as the lawsuit file, other continent other than North American still trade ripple. But, I can not invest in it as it is shady when I have altcoins that are decentralized to go for to give me the profit I want.

I think both of them are going to be in a so-so performance this year.

Other alts have been moving, surpassing their previous all time high. And with the recent XRP lawsuit, we don't know what will be the outcome. Yes, occasion pump and dump for both, but we all know that this kind of scheme are not good in the long run. Too bad though that the OP is trap, bad timing I guess.

Right now, if you only have 2 choices, would prefer XLM over XRP.
With the ongoing SEC lawsuit of the XRP, it is hard to suggest this one to other users.
But Stellar needs to be aggressive with their developments and take advantage of their position.
And besides a lot don't like XRP because of its centralized platform.
