Title: Too many project SCAMS - PLEASE CAREFUL
Post by: ductruong on December 31, 2020, 09:32:35 AM
By the end of 2020, along with the strong growth of Bitcoin, some people used the trust of many to scam.
For example:
- Create virtual projects,
- Create virtual tokens,
- Create an investment website for the purpose of calling for investment,
- Create an airdrop that calls for people to deposit fees to pay tokens
- ....
Everyone should be careful when participating in projects like that.
Thank you so much.

- Create virtual projects,
- Create virtual tokens,
This is just some of sweet promises or bullshit like planning, creating, waiting etc. unless it's released.

Quote
- Create an investment website for the purpose of calling for investment,
- Create an airdrop that calls for people to deposit fees to pay tokens
That's ponzi scheme and Multi Level Marketing

I think you need to add 2 more examples since that's currently FOMO and HYPE right now :
- Anything with DEFI project
- DEXs and Swap service giving free airdrop (e.g. Uniswap, 1nch exchanges)

This early warning is very important. Now people are curious about cryptocurrencies and fraudsters will take advantage of it. Many scam projects will be created and new investors should be made aware of this  :-\

I suspect that in 2021 there will be more such things. currently the price of bitcoin is very strong, and it is likely that the altcoin season will arrive in 2021, and there will also be many projects that take advantage of this moment. I thought scammers would improve their quality to trap investors.

These shows that we need to be always reminded that among crypto enthusiasts in the space, most of them can make us invest and get nothing in return. In other words, there are so many scammers in crypto industry. So we need to be extra careful and these fitted perhaps in every section. I mean we all aware about the risk but are we ready if it happened to us? So we need to be always reminded though moderators pin posted it but somehow this is worth a topic to discussed about.

- Create an investment website for the purpose of calling for investment,
Always verify and check the legitimacy of a website. For investment or service, you need to check each of the details that it shows because you'll get a hint if it's a scam. They may look like a professional website but with the content and the scheme that it explains, you'll get the idea if it's a scam, a Ponzi, or a project that only wants to take the money of its investors. Research is the best weapon for this to avoid and you'll get to secure yourself from those scam projects.

Various scams are already apparent for the past years and we cannot stop them. That's why it's also a part of getting into crypto space is to know how to avoid and keep yourself safe from scammers. Since the adoption is continuously growing, more scammers will use it to delude beginners. Remember to always be careful with projects you are choosing and to always do prior research.

And some of them are hiding as new projects in the crypto space. so be careful because they will use all the good stuff whitepaper roadmap just to get what they want which is your hardwork money. Invest only in legitimate project and don't be FOMO with a new coins with high price they will all lost its value someday so be careful.

- Create virtual projects,
- Create virtual tokens,
I never support or like the approach to use virtual word to describe cryptocurrency. It is a word used to mislead crypto enthusiasts or potential crypto investors.

What is real? What is virtual?
Is the fiat in balance when you log in your bank account is real? Or is it virtual?

Bank balance, crypto balance are digital number, not virtual number. Crypto currency is digital currency, not virtual currency.

By the way it is not going to end in 2020 so we just need to be careful all the time whenever we are encountering such situations whether in online or at offline. But these ideas become very older and investors became familiar to it so we may see more innovative ideas from the scammers in 2021 so just be careful with scammer always.

This is an endless cycle, people will find ways to earn easy money. Scam is everywhere since crypto started, as time goes by people learn and adapt. Always practice caution and be aware of what you are investing in, if a project promises too much be wary. Just do your research before enggaging in any investment.

That's why we shouldn't be tempted by cheap things that will only make us seem like gullible people. not only be careful, but better avoid it. no project wants to lose. especially in these years taking advantage of the situation under the pretext of bitcoin. To face the beginning of the year, we must be smart in dealing with scattered projects, because 2021 will be more than 2020.

The major reason for the high scams jumping out is due to BTC pumping out. most of these projects are after btc. they wanted to dump their token on people and exchange it with BTC. we will see more of them as BTC keeps pumping. same can be noticed about bounties. most bounties are paying due to investors coming back to new project. we will see more in the coming days.

Hmm, with the 2021 on its way with few hours, I am pretty sure there would be many many projects that will release themselves with new energy and new promises which doesnt sound to be too good at first glance. So there would be many scams and noobs would be targeted the most in this instances.

The research that you are talking about will be done by old investors only and not by the new comers. So these project owners know very well they will have plenty of ICO investors to get what they need. (Money).

Engagement depends on one fact, whether these projects will be secured with some sort of bonds or not. For ex, project like USDT etc are already in the court hearings and we surely dont want that kind of project taking heads up again. With the new projects, there has to be many assurance then only we can be sure whether to invest or not.

The same thing that was happening a few years ago. The scammers are seeing the crypto got pumped massively and then they are starting to come with a promising project that full with BS.
It's not all of the bounties are paying dude. i have seen some people complaints about there were some projects that have gone.
swaphub and some scam finance defi projects. That thing that makes me sad there are still hunters blatantly joining in the project that already proven by another member as scam project.

As long as you don't have to spend money to take part in the airdrop or the like you can follow it,
but if you have to pay money, then don't follow it, because the possibility of a scam is very big, as an investor you must understand this trick, most real projects give for free, but scam projects require you to pay money to take your reward.

These 2 are common already. They are already doing this for a long time.
These scammers are just doing the same thing over and over again and unfortunately, there are many investors who are still falling to this traps.

Now with regards to airdrops, I've participated some airdrops in the past but I didn't ever tried to deposit a certain amount of ETH (still using ETH to transfer at that time) just to get shitcoins. Luckily that I didn't invest into any airdrop since most of them come out useless or shitcoin.

That's the problem with most of the victims who usually easily got fall for the scam projects like these. Like believing in such crap of giving such good returns. It's signigicant to spot a good project because new projects usually have a good to be true products or goals which seems to be impossible in the future.

Certainly, most of us here are wise enough than before in choosing a potential projects to invest or to join. Especially defi trends are now the scammer's new way to scam people.

Airdrops before were really different. They will just give you free money. However, you should discard them fast because they lose their value fast. Nowadays, you will rarely encounter a valuable airdrop. Sometimes you need to spend your effort for nothing. Not really participating anymore with airdrop as it becomes useless these days. But lucky for users who are actively trading in some exchanges, like TWT airdrop in Binance exchange or the 1inch.exchange, if you happen to trade with them for specific periods eligible for their airdrop. Now, that's real money out there.

Well said and I wish many people will take heed and do things differently henceforth. But the fact is, scammers and scam projects will keep coming up therefore it is left to us to leverage every form of investment security measures to ensure we don't Invest in scam projects. Also, many projects will be created promising unrealistic returns, in this case it is left to us to control our greed and overlook them, in the same way, airdrops will still keep happening and as usual, scammers will always use it to get what they want, hence in this case let's learn to point out those who are out to scam us such as asking for fees and/or private details.
Lastly, let's make good investment choices, coins like Bitcoin is the best all the time.

Is the campaign manager to blame for this, who neglects to deliver even penny projects and is not careful to give it to everyone, at least all the campaign managers use escrow so that the projects that arrive can be trusted to run real projects, not present fraudulent projects, maybe that a good solution going forward ...

Scammers are inevitable, they come from all faces that's why it's pretty hard to get rid of these type of people in the internet. I hope people that got scammed last year will be a big learning process to them, they're just victims and sympathize them of all their losses. Nonetheless, we should be more vigilant of all these schemes that are too good to be true and with that we can deny scammers little by little.

There are many scam projects coming up under the name Defi. Before launching any project, the level of Defi is set and many investors are scammed. And it is a matter of wondering how long the defi project will last. The ico concept came in 2017 and some projects have made good profits and most projects have been scammed. So you should know well before investing in any coin.

You should always guard yourself once you enter this venue of investment, it will risk not only your money but also your time following any project that you think that worthy of following and investing in.

Since 2018, an increasing number of project scams have continued to appear until now. We really have to be careful in choosing projects,
I myself have been very selective in choosing projects to follow. Still several times following a scam project, because scammers are getting
smarter nowadays, making fake projects really look like real projects. So in-depth research must be done to really avoid project scams.

These scam project comes more in every bull run season, back in 2017 there were numerous number of scam project promising high return on investment to newbies which they got them a lot, scam alot of them of their funds. This incidence is been done on telegram to be performing.
- Fake escrow service
- Promising them signals.
- Trading with high ROI

This is another period of staying vigilant never to be a victim of any of these fake projects, you can perform these to avoid those scammers.
- Don't respond to pm from Admin, pm Admin first.
- Never follow project with high ROI
- Perform diligent research before investing.
- Run a plagiarism check on their whitepaper and other articles.
- Thorough investigation on the project teams.

In this industry, of course, there are various types of fraud and we all of course have to always be careful and also don't be easily attracted by lucrative offers. but I really don't like the last point you mentioned, about airdrops which require participants to send fees to claim Airdrop tokens. Most of these airdrops are scams.

I think this is not only for cryptocurrency, all types of investment require caution, even if there are no scammers, investors are required to be careful when investing, that's why in investing an investor is required to do research first.
But indeed, investing in cryptocurrency carries a very big risk when compared to other places, especially the risk of investing in a scam project, but for beginners it's better to invest in major coins to avoid scam projects.

It’s not a new thing but it’s good for us to always talk about it so that we can remind ourselves to be cautious with what we are doing, because if we are not, that’s when we fall for their traps. And another thing is to let newbies be aware of what they are into and be very careful as to not lose their money in the hands of scammers that promises good deals which turns out to be fake at last.

Why I am saying this is because some people will always things like we already know about it or that the op should stop repeating topics that has already been posted, nah there is nothing wrong with this post, it is very important to always have a reminder.

Without knowledge better to stay away, riding with this project is very risky though chances to gain is very possible if you have strong knowledge

as taking your investment will allow you to position yourself in the place and in the right time. Everything that you needed are learnable the more

Everyone needs to rise their awareness so as to spot out any scam project. Not many investors are as smart as us and therefore, we have a duty to expose and destroy scam projects. In 2017, there were hundreds of shady projects created just for only one reason: to deceive investors and steal their money. Right now, we are standing at the middle of the all time high and no doubt that thieves try to abuse the situation.

Be careful. You are free to ask anything on this forum. Therefore, make a question before investing in any shady project

I think you need to add 2 more examples since that's currently FOMO and HYPE right now :
- Anything with DEFI project
- DEXs and Swap service giving free airdrop (e.g. Uniswap, 1nch exchanges)
and this is what scammers use to attract the attention of the masses. on behalf of DeFi, trying to get broad market support, unfortunately, it is not supported by a clear product,
so it seems rushed and gradually disappears.

Lately, there have also been many new DEXs that require us to link them to our wallets, be careful, it could be a trap that puts your assets at risk. make sure to use a separate wallet from your main wallet,
always be careful.

The scammers were moving to the new trend and they were creating the fake project to fool the investors. Defi trend has become the way for scammer to scamming the investors.
People should do DYOR before try to participate in any defi ico even the defi ico that claimed already locked its liquidity can do rug pull.
it's too risky to participate on it right now.
The scammers become even smarter than before consider they started to use the various action command for smartcontract.

It is not new in crypto scammers are always there and the only way to avoid scammer is to search on the project that you want to invest and be careful on investing, if it involves money and asset we need to be more careful because it is really hard to earn money and if we fall into scammers im sure that all our money and asset will be gone. The only problem is to identify the scam and legit poject, i believe that the legitimate project is being handled by the trusted team, so we need to search the team background history.

In fact, from various types of crypto project fields that have concepts such as gold, robots, AI, and others, many have become scams at this time.

almost all the methods are the same so it will be very difficult to detect. At the start of the bounty, everything will go very well, from rules, spreadsheet calculations to distribution. but what will be difficult is when waiting for coins to be listed on the exchanger, it will definitely take a very long time. and the possibility is that it is a scam, or it is already listed but the exchange rate is so low it can also be called a scammer.

The listing can be done only by the developers but as supporters and you can also try to ask the exchange site to list your token but the problem is I didn't even believe there will be a supporter that wanna try to put his money into the risk or paid the listing fees. If the developers already raised million dollars worth of money and then that indicates if the developers were scammers.

Even when the Bitcoin was not in its all time high there's a lot of scam projects already that scattered not just here on the forum but also off the forum, that's why it's important to make your own research and study the project.

Especially many Defi projects which in my opinion are only fraudulent schemes. I've almost been fooled several times. better avoid your risk of investing in unclear Defi or new altcoins. This is the same as you are gambling because you don't know in the future they will be accepted by the market or not. so many scams that have occurred nowadays

thats a great advice for me and aslo for everyone who are intrested to invest in new project
but now i am adding one more to this that those project who force you or request you to invest
they must not be genuine. project because genuine project impress people by his roadmap planing and his project concept
so those reason people love to invest in his project.

Most new projects have websites that promise or look real so it can be quite difficult to determine which ones are real and fake. Many people misuse the crypto industry as a dirty income field, scammers are always around us and anyone needs to be careful before putting money into any project.

Scammers are all around not only in crypto because they have same mind but different faces for dirty income from innocent peoples but for this all we have to be very careful because if we able to check all related things about project this can help us a lot and we can avoid these scam projects mostly greediness kills because most of investors after having news about good profit want to take advantage and lost money we need to guide them about this all with better way.

They all just want to take investors' money. We can see that the average after sales and listings are no longer updating. This is a huge scam scheme in my opinion that discourages many people from investing in new altcoins. we just don't know whether the future is good or not.

Those are just type of projects that aren't into long-term actually. They're just there for a short-term profit and then abandoning the coin like an exit scam, leaving no traces behind. Not sure why people still believe in airdrops, as if the last one I've got long time ago tried to put me and bait me into their phishing MEW site.

Well scammers will do anything to scam people and for sure many people still get victims of scams especially newbies that has no knowledge about cryptocurrencies. I hope newbies will notice this thread just to warn them about kind of scams in crypto space. There is no easy money nor doubling your money in some sites, it is a scam for sure.
There are indeed lots of scammers out there who want to take advantage of the ignorance of other people, their main goal is to get the money. That is why every person who wants to start making money here, make sure you are well-informed about cryptocurrency and about choosing a particular project you want to invest your money in, there are some things you should consider before choosing a particular project. That is make sure that your money can grow bigger without losing it.

It is really difficult for newbies to find out which is the original and which is the fake website. The right information should be taken to protect yourself from scams by refraining from investing as soon as you start your crypto journey.

Crypto users who rush to invest are often the victims of scams by scammers. Investing in a lucrative offer is like handing over your money to someone else, and he will run away with your money anytime.

this is why i stopped investing in those projects a long time ago. because even if you do your research and the project is seemingly legit, with all the published profiles of their team members, with well-written wp, still, no assurance that the project will be successful. they may not be scammers. but if the platform will not hit it off in the market, they will still be a failure and they will just abandon their project. now, how can you get your investments back? not anymore, it's considered gone. so i guess, the best way to avoid being screwed, is not to invest with new projects. stay with top and established alts for now.

scam projects were an issue from the beginning of ICOs, but they were not as much as they are today, it is really absurd, back in 2017 a scam project was a discussion topic for all bitcointalk users, because we weren't that used to it, but now sadly, scam projects are part of the crypto community.

It is a typical form of fraud that can be detected by a thorough evaluation of the content of the website and whitepaper. Thus, it should be prioritized as it will be the guide in identifying the underlying loopholes in the project. Furthermore, it is useful in understanding the proposition of the project in a specific issue. Unfortunately, some investors are influenced by greed and invest in a project that proposes a high-yield profit. In which they take the risk despite seeing the red flag, such as questionable ROI, poor content whitepaper, and website, fake teams. Regardless, they should be responsible and wise in trusting people with their funds.

there are websites that are easy to spot and there are profesionaly made but scam inside . not all are easy to spot if they are a scam and who would have thought that a project that has a partnership to some big companies a scam ? but basically investors jump on to the conclusion and will say this is legit and i will invest on it because i smell big profit but again research should be done first . there are crypto haters but they can hate crypto for different reason and not because they see that there are so many scams on it

I agree with this opinion because currently there are indeed a lot of projects that scamer beginner investors, so before participating in a project you must pay attention to the important points of a project that does not commit fraud.
There are lots of awareness about this but it's sad that there are still so many people abandon this awareness. So many times some members have been creating the thread about that but the hunters are still trying to put all of their effort to get the more projects based on the quantity rather than quality.
The hunters must realize it and if they keep doing what they have been doing and the scammers can fool them all.

It's just that during periods of a bearish trend, there are fewer scammers, since deceived people try not to fall into the same trap twice. But in the current case, many new people come to the market and fall prey to scam.

Scammers in the crypto world are always there, even they use various ways to earn  money easily. So for  beginners do not get  caught up
with offers that promise a lot of refunds. Like an airdrop with a big prize, but you have to  spend a  certain  amount  of ethereum or bitcoin
to get the prize. Don’t do that, even if the requested amount is not large. If multiplied by a thousand people who send, it will be enormous.

As long as you don't have to spend money to take part in the airdrop or the like you can follow it,
but if you have to pay money, then don't follow it, because the possibility of a scam is very big, as an investor you must understand this trick, most real projects give for free, but scam projects require you to pay money to take your reward.

For airdrop you can do like that, but at least for bounty we need to invest more time to know about the project, because we will invest our time for doing some bounty task. I hope 2021 is a good year for many new project  ;D

After bitcoin price increasing, many project release at the market and many of them attract many investors to invest in every project. Still, unfortunately, many of them do not search for more info about the project. The investors attract to that project because they read on social media and other websites that the project will have success in the future, and the team can convince them to invest in that project. But it will not take too long to know the project scams them or not because after they give them money, people behind on the project will run away with the money without telling the people.

Its true that we cannot determine which project will pursue its development as long as there are users but there will be surely some platforms that will only be working until the developers gain their profit.

I think bounty hunters do not have a big responsibility in terms of viewing and participating in bounties, because each bounty participant is free to determine which bounty they will participate in and of course they also see it according to what they have analyzed by themselves.
The bounty hunters are having the responsibility to DYOR before try to join in anycampaign. I have seen so many complaints that created by the hunters regarding the scam bounty while there's a scam accusation against  it already published before the end of bounty. The hunters didn't even watch it and they got scammed.
The hunters are so blindly. They didn't care about the analyzation that will prevent them to participate in scam bounty

I honestly thought I was the only one seeing those fake uniswap and 1inch airdrops everywhere on telegram, after the uniswap airdrop that marveled alot of crypto enthusiasts, scammers began to create airdrops with names that are kind of similar to uniswap, same thing with 1inch and they were promising huge amount of money about $1500 for completing a simple task like follow us on Twitter like and retweet their post, in the end they are all scams, none of them will ever pay.

The behavior of the fraudsters has indeed continued to grow. It is clear that social media plays a very important role and now it is starting with telegrams which are used as a means of fraud and sweet promises.
The problem is that this cannot be finished and there are no actions that can prevent it from being repeated.

Quickly growing sphere will always be a popular place for scammers, because there is a lot of money here and some people are inattentive or just inexperinced in new technologies. I always advise my friends to check several times projects which require any payments ot something else related with spending money or time on it. Scams aoppear often nowadays, so all of us should be careful

The situation of scams has really reduced especially from outsiders who use influence of ignorance. The main problem lies within our self, just yesterday, scarescitydefi stole 70+ eth from private investors, they were supposed to add liquidity since on 14 January but they have gone silence without communication with the community.
This sadden my heart any time I see developers hide behind defi to cheat people there hard earned money.

* don't be easy to believe with high ROI
* keep in your mind that investing is full of risks
* don't be lazy to do more research with the project you are targeting

I think scaming or scams will continue to happen so our best way is to prevent new people from entering the crypto world by educating them and notifying them of the type of project that is doing the scam, or something like a ponzi scheme.
It is also useful to reduce people's negative view of crypto.

It has been the same thing that we always tell people over and over ever since crypto got popular and that is to ensure that you have this skill in knowing what is a scam and what is not. Much better if you learn first which projects are popular possibly the top 100 coins you can start with them then make a decision which of these you want to invest with. If it is a totally new project then you need to work double time to get the information that you need to know if the project is trustworthy.

It is not surprising if many kinds of scam schemes, scammers always find out new ways. Moreover, if the scam schemes are already familiar with people.

Yes you are absolutely right. I don't understand why people cheat millions for a little money. The image of this industry is tarnished due to the scam project. You all have to pay attention to that. And must be vigilant. If a particular policy is enacted, it can be controlled.

If you like to analyze projects, I think you could prove yourself as a scam investigator. It is these abilities that can save bounty hunters from wasting time and reward. It is mainly up to research the project whether bounty hunting is profitable or not. Of course, we are not always able to detect scams, but after careful research, we can significantly reduce the risk.

That's good you know how to differentiate those scam projects to the legitimate. We need to analyze and research everything first before considering to spend our time on that matter, most of the time people are fall for this things because we want to earn so easily and we did not think before we join. It's very profitable when you can invest into the new legit projects. i have invested a few thousand dollars in poolz and this time it grows a lot.
So many people are only taking the bounty as their side job only to help the project to get more exposure.
The problem is that will need a lot of time to analyze the legit projects.

If you are not hunters and don't mind this awareness.

What should we do is just increasing our Knowledge so we can avoid getting scammed.

Now scams are rapidly gaining popularity due to the use of the names of public people. People believe than invest and end up with nothing. But who will blame for this? If a coin loses its popularity and becomes not in demand, then it has no choice but to become a scam.

I believe that the peak of user activity in the cryptocurrency market occurred in 2016 and since then all users who have remained faithful to the cryptocurrency and all their assets have already gained some experience and can evaluate various projects, Analyzing the available information and the conditions imposed in order to prevent fraud and do not be deceived. Anyway, I hope so.
2016 there are not many projects. When compared to 2017, I saw so many new projects with the popularity of ICOs. the market is increasing and that is also the reason the scammers are getting bigger. 2018 to 2020 seems to be the year when the market is experiencing a decline in investor confidence. but mid-2020 is a good start when investment starts to pick up again. but I think scammers will continue to adapt. If people have been in this market and forum for a long time, I think they must know how the character and project is a scam.

There are a lot of tips we can get from this forum on how to avoid scam projects currently circulating on crypto forums, as you said, we can't completely avoid existing scam projects but at least we can avoid that by following the project that is handle by a trusted bounty manager because I am sure the bounty manager will do in-depth and thorough research before handling the project and get used to following projects that do have escrow in every bounty payment or bounty project that already has tokens /coins listed on the market.

it was a wise choice. unfortunately I myself am not so sure about the big name of the bounty mananger. If you look at first, many bounty mananger names currently may not get a project or have even stopped promoting a project. From 2018 until the end of last year, I think the project scam cannot be handled seriously.

There are many scam projects and altcoins as well as hacking and creating fakes websites so be careful when choosing the projects you will join because there are many potential investors and bounty hunters who participate in them and most of them are great in telegram groups and social media so do not just believe because others they use bot member accounts.
sometimes a project will show an indication of a scam after the project has finished making a sale or has finished a bounty campaign. Some early indications are still in doubt. but when the sale and bounty campaign is over there will be a clear indication of a project scam.

Mate, those days are gone. It is harder now to find the safe IEO on well-known exchanges, almost all projects tend to take token sale offers of small exchanges. Investing is hard in the new projects but some projects still worth taking risks in the long term. Binance Launchpad is dead too, I am sure there is no more than 1 successfully launched IEO project on Binance per month.

This are all scams, they are all over the place right now, one should be careful not  to fall for this scammers and their promises of giving you high profits in return, just stay away from any crypto doubler.
- Create an airdrop that calls for people to deposit fees to pay tokens
As long as you don't pay to receive tokens you're free to participate in any airdrop, but once a certain amount of fee is required to send the free tokens to you just know in your heart that it's a scam, airdrops are free tokens for freebies who would perform a certain task like Retweeting a post, following a Twitter account etc to be able to qualify for the airdrop, so if at the end you're asked to pay to recieve the tokens just walk away it's a scam.

Scams are pretty common and are everywhere not just in this industry but also in our daily lives. If one is dumb enoigh to get scammed, that means he or she never bothered to invest enough time in learning about this industry or where he or she is. Do not let yourself be a victim, learn to swim first before you dive. And if you were already scammed once, learn your lesson well and be more prepared for next time so you won't fall for scams ever again.

Where no legal regulation there will always be a place for fraud. So the question itself arises why the creators and developers of the Ethereum platform, on which most of the scam is created, do not take any measures to combat this phenomenon?  ???

The answer is very simple. Blockchain and cryptocurrencies represent decentralization, not regulation. Decentralization is a choice, but also a responsibility for your decisions. If someone decides to give money to a stranger in internet (or even an anonymous person) just because they are promising something, it is their choice. What happens next are the consequences of his own choice. If someone is irresponsible and needs protection in the form of regulation, then the cryptocurrency market is not the place for him.

There are already so many altcoins that are currently under development. I myself am not interested in new altcoins to invest in. because there we do not know whether it will be successfully accepted by the market or not. remember very well that so many failures in 2017 reflect my preference for good altcoins. In this case the good thing is that the platform is already running and also the trading volume is high

I think you are talking about two different things. Altcoins are projects that create coins to be a universal or industry-specific form of payment. Tokens, i.e. all coins from ICO, IEO, STO and Defi, are mainly used to perform a payment function or to be shares in one project, the one who created them.
I agree that it all depends on the developers. If they are honest and believe in the project's success, there are chances that everyone will be happy. However, if at some stage they decide that the project will fail - then we have collapse of project. Scam is when developers plan it to runaway with money from the beginning.

But mates it's 2021 if you going with a fake project then obviously you've no experience in the crypto world, always remember fake projects giving you hope and promises finally they used your money and you gain zero profit. So mates, please research and analysis the market. When you realize you can do well in this market then you can in the market for investment, trading.

New projects certainly have a greater risk than existing projects on the market. if you want to invest in a new project, of course, those who have been proven to pay or who have collaborated with the exchange platform if possible. because the reputation of the project will be better if they already have a partnership with an exchange where they can list their tokens later on the exchange.

Yes, we should avoid such a project where the project manager is asking transaction fees to send the coins. This way scammers actually trying to make money from the penny-penny of several depositors who trapped in their promises. Scammers are experts in making fool investors by their mealy-mouth talk. Generally, I don't trust airdrops. I do participate only when they run their proper ICO's on bitcointalk otherwise I don't take participate in airdrops where a project don't have any official website or whitepaper.

You are right though your statement many projects are scams come out even though I have also experienced joining airdrops and in fact it is also difficult to check new projects if it is legit or scam because there are scam projects that are good at copying others more information and manipulation so be careful what you join.
You are right, there are even scam projects that make everything original and indeed those who work on their projects. they do a scam when they already get enthusiasm from the community. they began to be trusted with the money the community gave them, then they left.
like the BCNEX example. an old project that gives us the experience that everything looks good and pays. but when a lot of trust and funds have been raised, they run away with funds from their members.

A year or two ago, I was scammed in a telegram group. The scammer pretended to be an official from a cryptocurrency project but was a thief in disguise. Telegram scams are very popular this days. It is very easy to create a username almost identical to the person who represents a project. Do not trust people who reach out to you with very profitable offers, because if something looks too good it almost for sure is scam. Be very careful and always confirm any information on the official chat.

The project scam won't go away for now. because they can freely draft without having to have permission. As an investor you have to be more selective. because currently in cryptocurrency there are so many scam schemes. even projects with legality sometimes indicate a scam. Reading the whitepaper and also seeing the progress is the most important thing to be able to check the project
well, it existed before crypto appeared. However, as a smart investor, being selective in choosing where to invest is very necessary, because according to my perspective, there are so many investors who are caught in a project scam in the crypto world. however, there are many ways to be aware of a project scam or not, and one of the most recommended ways is to research all aspects of the project.

Yes almost 60percent of projects now are scam,so we need to become more careful specially those  bounty hunters who promotes those projects, thats why as a bounty hunters we must be careful and make the good choice and earn more.

After all, bounty hunters don't want to promote scam projects. However, it is greed that blinds their eyes and they do not look at the fact that the project does not have a team or even a Whitepaper, but they look at the fact that the bounty pool is huge. Just like any investor, bounty hunters should thoroughly check the project first before promoting it, so as not to be scamed and waste time, and what is even worse expose investors to losses.

where there is big money spinning, of course there will be opportunities for people to commit fraud, including in crypto investment which does seem to be a pretty good land for scammers to get money, as a bounty hunter of course we have a big enough responsibility in promoting a crypto project. so of course we must always be vigilant and careful in choosing a project for us to follow so that we don't get caught up in a scam project that harms us and the investors later.
I think bounty hunters do not have a big responsibility in terms of viewing and participating in bounties, because each bounty participant is free to determine which bounty they will participate in and of course they also see it according to what they have analyzed by themselves.

Bounty hunters are just as responsible for participating in scam projects as are the managers who choose these projects. Often, hunters do not take their choice of companies too seriously, relying on the instinct of their usual manager. When a project turns out to be a scam, bounty hunters tend to blame the manager. But it is obvious that they are guilty just like the manager himself, because they did not conduct their own analysis, which means they potentially became accomplices of the scam.

Its hard to label wether a certain project is legit or scam. Before you make any investment in crypto make sure you do background checking or the project should have a feasible product atleast. Don’t go all in a single project, as much as possible diversify your portfolio with valuable and with potential crypto assets.

That's the 2020 scam. Nowadays, projects are more sophisticated than when developers create IDO projects and organizations on decentralized exchange platforms. They list these projects and make a profit, keeping the money of those who add to the pool of liquidity. The next step is to disappear with the same amount of money.

when we can't do analysis and double-checking related to the project background and/or that's what you say. then the best solution is to join and invest in top market assets. it is safer for us to do than having to force ourselves to follow a new project which is not necessarily going to benefit us.
nowadays, scammers are increasingly creative in planning scam projects. without us knowing it, they have grown to be smarter. and we must continue to upgrade our abilities as well to avoid them.

DeFi itself might be the scam too

I don’t get this wrapped coin, wrapped bitcoin, wrapped ethereum, wrapped tether but there are popping up like mushroom, most notably in the DeFi, all their coins are wrapped, they used it to cross chain among two non fungible coins, for example cross trading ethereum to wrapped bitcoin in DeFi.

It raise some concern
1. Doesn’t it inflating the coin supply? Bitcoin and wrapped bitcoin, does it have 21m supply?
2. It has locked up value TVL, there is risk of losing everything, in the event of hacking.
3. Trading on wrapped coin associated with exorbitant high gas fee, for example in uniswap trade eth for wrapped bitcoin the fee is very high.
4. The catch is you don’t need to trade on cex, everything would be conducted on dex with DeFi.

Since the market is at its peak, many new investors have been turned towards crypto investments. And this is the golden opportunity for scammers. Just like the scam projects increase after the start of 2018, this has not stopped and increasing. We need to be very careful and need to be cautious before doing any investments in new projects. From my point of view, even if we see a good project, we should wait for some months and then can enter looking at the real value of that project.

I see Decentralized Exchanges (DEX) is also not very safe, because a lot of shitcoins are listed there easily, everyone can easily list their coins on DEX like pancakeswap,
this scheme is not much different from the ICO on their site then after that they leave their project when the bull market is over, this is a new type of scammer, and it's hard to avoid this, I think it's a safe way to trade on Binance, coins listed there are definitely good coins and have a bright future.

Dear friend. It always has been, and it always will be. Every day there is something new and scammers will not sit on the sidelines. They come up with increasingly sophisticated ways to deceive gullible investors. I believe that everyone should fall for their bait to learn a lesson for the rest of their lives

Personally, I can say that the world of cryptocurrency is really full of scammers and you need to be extremely careful. Since the success of your work and the profit from the sale or participation in crypto projects depend on this. So the cryptocurrency has a lot of positive aspects, but you can also fall into the hands of a scammer and lose your honestly earned money.

Indeed, many projects have been launched that eventually commit fraud. Moreover, we are in a different country, and it is very difficult to confirm that the project actually exists. But in this forum, I have more confidence in the project manager. If the project is managed by someone who has a good reputation, then I join the project. So this will make it easier for us to choose a project to join. Although there are also projects managed by trusted managers it ultimately scams. What is clear, the manager will not be a fraud. This can happen when the project team commits scams at the end of the project.

In my opinion, the project manager is not a benchmark for whether the project is fake or not because in the last few years, many failed projects, even fake ones, are held by the existing project manager.

even now it seems like it's getting easier. take a look at some tokens from the BSC project now. they have very low prices and a huge supply. but they are very popular in the community.
without a clear product and a clear team. they create tokens easily and list them on exchanges with their own custom trading manipulations.
just need to make attention to social media then they will get good momentum from the community.

Scammers has been here right from the beginning, it’s not a new thing and you would be surprised at how many are regularly being scammed if you get to know, but because we never get to hear about most of the scams that takes place, we think it’s something that happens once in a while.

Scammers are everywhere and they are making use of different strategies and looking for who would fall into their trap and then they will prey on them. So, people really have to be careful no matter where, and especially with these airdrops, this is one of the reasons why I decided to stop airdrops because the level of scammers in it are too many. If you can deal with it, it’s always best to just stay clear from it.

I honestly feel sorry for the bounty hunter who got caught up in a scam project, they spend a lot of time and mind promoting the project in hopes of getting paid after the project is over, but the reality is not as expected.
I am grateful to be able to participate in the paid BTC campaign, so I am not too worried about the payment I will get, because they always pay the campaign participants on time.

In this post I want to motivate friends here especially bounty hunter so they don't give up easily to join the project, Moreover, this year there have been many successful project, such as HEX, Poolz, Cyclops and there are several other project.

Even if you have teams who do Q&As or videos, teams that are not anonymous you can still expect them to scam you. The difficult part is to hunt them down legally. They have their legal entities in states you can't really do anything and complex corporate structures. It sucks and is sad because it shies lots of interested people away or destroys the excitement about the topic of those who lose lots of money.

As for teams who want to stay anonymous at any price, I wouldn't entrust them with my money. Chances it goes well for you are so low.

Yes, I also often receive messages by telegram to invest in certain websites, but after I checked, the website hasn't been around for a year. I think we need to check details about websites offering investments.
I also question about the site, why is not in this forum. Because in this forum there are people who are able to do research on the correctness of investment sites. But unfortunately they don't even know the bitcointalk forum.

Thank you so much for bringing it up again. This has been said many times but most times, people are blinded by greed that they throw caution to the wind and do what they feel is right and at the end, got scammed. Let me start with airdrop, it is meant to be given freely so far the participants have done the required tasks expected of them, but once the team directly or indirectly demands for small Eth or BNB for gas fee in order to send the participants their tokens, then it is a red flag and will possibly be a scam.
Another is investment platforms which offers high reward which are of course very attractive, such that once the greedy person comes in contact with the platform, he will be forced to invest.
Let's just try our best to explore about the right thing and do it always without feeding scammers every now and then.

DeFi and NFT now have so many indications of a scam. especially those on the Binance Smart Chain network. no whitepaper. anonymous team and also low liquidity make an indication that it is a pretty strong scam. but on the other hand many people are attracted when they see the price is low enough for them to be able to promote. what is clear you have to be more careful when investing in altcoins that are not clear.

For those who have been in the crypto world for a long time, you should not be surprised by the many project scams that have sprung up.
Because indeed since 2017 when crypto began to boom, there were so many newbies who joined crypto at that time. So the scammers saw
this as an opportunity to steal money from newbies, and it proved successful, many victims of fraud at that time. And now when the market is
bullish, scammers are trying to do the same, therefore for newbies, don't be lazy to learn about the crypto world. If newbie are lazy to read,

so we can avoid being victims of fraud.

One way to stop being trapped by the scam is to stop being greedy. Most of the times its the greed due to which we take interest in the offers which are not realistic ones. If an project is offering you a lot of free money/token and in return asking for your keys, then beware that it would be a scam.

Frankly speaking that's the same for everybody who doesn't have a lot to invest. Taking risks then is so painful. You don't have much, you can't even afford to lose it but still you want to take part in all the action that is taking place in front of your eyes. That's a bad situation which often leads to such people taking too high a risk.

NFT projects are hot right now. It's good thing that there are project like these which is legitimate. Many investors don't trust anymore in crowdfunding. Many preferred to used other methods like Launchpad in Binance or get whitelist to get early access to buy tokens. I think bounty hunters, and investors are now learning about how to determine which project is legitimate with that, scammers are now less. Active groups, good feedbacks and proofs about the project, these will add more points in which we can determine the project is not scam.

With the ease of brainwashing the beginners in the cryptocurrency world, scammers prefer to do business in this sector because it is very easy to get profits and it is also easy to escape from the pursuit of the law. We all are not required to publish our identities, so all will be listed anonymously. Offering investment by selling dreams, and teaching newbies, becomes their dirty job that is easy and can run smoothly in the cryptocurrency industry.

The beginner was not wrong, he entered the cryptocurrency industry and tried to make money here, but they had no luck, having met a con artist.

This is one of the reasons why literacy is so important, because I have encountered so many deceptions where they have very difficulty in grammar, must be good at reading the situation and the possibilities that will occur afterward. do not be too greedy with the benefits offered because usually people who are deceived are consumed by the words of the con artist who offer great benefits

I've learned but as long as we active this things will goes on like forever. yep, I know that scammers came to live when market is on bullish. Personally I came through some scam projects cause few projects are so much good to identify. However, Do your own research. Try not to contribute anything you're not able to lose.

You are very right, especially in the pandemic many fraudsters impersonate crypto projects that have a good vision and mission and as if the platform looks very good and in trust.
We should be aware of this kind of crypto project.
Be careful when you want to invest with new projects, study carefully, care about the money you have.

The potential for scammers grows even more when the market is bullish and even some of the projects are created to imitate real platforms, so we have to be careful when adding projects to the list of investment options. Analysis and research are important knowledge to make it easier to identify the level of project appraisal through several stages that must meet the requirements.

2021 is rarely heard of fraudulent projects, but nowadays many BSC tokens are just shitcoin,
of course that is also a category of fraud, yes small scale fraud, because we have to be smart about choosing the fundamentals of the BSC token project,
remember Safemoon? look at the price of safemoon dropping dramatically, so be careful when choosing a token

It's true as you say, the con artists are only taking chances in what is booming. now we can see for ourselves that binance is booming so that Sipenipu takes its benefits on behalf of Bsc so as to harm other parties. not only now, in early 2021 when the price of bitcoin skyrocketed a lot of parties on behalf of the investment they made in bitcoin, they tried to invite and influence other people to join in their investment, causing others to lose and create distrust of the currency virtual. My hope is for anyone not to easily believe the lure like that

True but over the years the space matured quite a bit and investors are well aware of the fact that there are scammers out there. In 2016 2017 2018 they just pumped out white papers, got their coins or tokens listed, sold the presale coins themselves and vanished.

Even teams that were not anonymous scammed the hell out of the space. Too sad really...

Was the team anonymous? The best way to go about your investments in the early stages of a project is to make sure that you know who is behind it. I gave up on investing in any project where the team wants to hide their identities. They say they would have to because of legislation and bla bla. Even if some of them are honest it is still not worth the risk to be left with empty hands and you can't even officially blame anyone or warn others. The best resource is a live Q&A or video on youtube because they even use fake IDs on their websites.

Yes, I agree with you, if they don't check the project they are helping the scammers by promoting the scam project, I hope through this topic that what people write will help them to increase awareness and be able to uncover the project if it is fair or a scam.
Any aspect has the downside of an issue.  The crypto space is no exception, but even outside life, you often encounter fake names, scammers in the guise of intellectuals who are taking over people's property ... I don't  encourages any but each person to be self-conscious, doing methods of testing, testing thoroughly and prudently ... Scammer is not separate from us.  It is impossible to blame and blame all of the blame on anyone.  That is a pity!

Impossible and pointless. All the blame always lies only with us. The task of the scammers is to make us believe them, but no one can make us believe, we do it of our own free will, and then we blame other people or circumstances for our mistake. This is called personal responsibility, responsibility for our own actions or inactions. Therefore, for each bounty hunter, the choice of projects should become a personal responsibility.

The electronics market is expanding and growing, accompanied by many risks. It is more complex and contains many scam projects. If we do not learn carefully or are inexperienced, it is easy for us to stick to these projects. You will lose money if you are not careful. It was actually starting towards the end of 2020 but it has become greater in this 2021 with help of the DEXes on Binance Smart Chain. These fake projects usually regarded as shit coins come in multiple and at then end of the day rugpulled to steal and run with their investors funds.
The only way to escape their traps is to tame one's greed for quick money and also avoid too good to be true investments.

Recently the Raye at which people involve in scam project is very high, some scammers see this as a job.
They'll create a project and send many hype on different platform even creating an airdrop and ask everyone to partake in the presale, once you pay for the token that's the end of it all, your money is gone.
Before jumping to any presale I'll advice you really investigate or don't partake. Stay safe out there.

The scam projects are so much in this period and it is easy to miss them because the market direction is generally upwards and almost all coins have seen a positive price movement since last year.
You have to be careful to avoid this projects that have no real long term future.
Invest in known projects that have a good team working on their platform and a defined roadmap to success

I agree with what you say, with bitcoin showing an unexpected surge lately, people frequently resort to fraudulent methods. A person who wants to make easy money is deceived very quickly, unfortunately, fraudsters who know this use this method, please be careful, let's not trust everyone. search the forum if necessary.

Not that this forum is hard to navigate, but in some instances you only know what you need help for if you already ran into a deadlock at full pace.

it seems that this is no longer a strange thing and more and more days it has become a commodity to seek profit and no one can do anything with the people who do it. Even though it is clear that they have committed fraud, it is difficult to prevent them, especially those that are not visible to the naked eye.

maybe what you say is the main solution that can be done but we know that many want to play an active role in new projects which are clearly very profitable, if they go according to the rules. so that in the end, fraud is unavoidable because buying on the exchange is clearly safer but the benefits obtained are clearly the difference, don't be surprised there will continue to be rampant fraud, but we hope that one day it will disappear by itself because many know from the start so they can't grow.

And currently i seen there are many fake tokens created by using smart contract of Ethereum or Binance, we need to double check the real of smart contract address before traded tokens on DEX like in Uniswap or Pancake. So before jump in to crypto investment, we have to keep learn about all risk on crypto and how to avoid it.

I agree, that currently there are hundreds of scam projects with fraudulent schemes using the DeFi concept. what is clear is that you as an investor must be more observant in the selection. because right now there are so many scammers. I myself have decided to be more selective for the selection. if you really support a better project that is clear and has a large community and market

it's not bad to take some risk as long as you are doing your research there's still a good chance to earned using this venue.

There are so many scammers and it's no longer a secret but you can lessen your chance of participating to any kind of project if you are

well-informed in how those scam developers work, the more you investigate, the more you'll be able to sort out which project to invest your money.

When you buy any Coin, try to find out who is behind the coin and decide if such coin is fully decentralized! These are few checklist for you to consider before investing in any coin!

Not only the number of scam projects is increasing. But also, the kinds of scam projects are also changing in time. Now, there are 11468 coins in the market according to Coinmarketcap. This is an amount more than we need. As the number of coins increases, scam projects are also seen more common. At this point, reading the whitepaper of a project is really important. You should understand first what kind of a project you are dealing with. After a deep research, you can make your own decision about whether to invest into it or not. Not all the investors are doing this unfortunately but I hope to see most of them doing it. This can help decrease the number of scammers like this.

It simply demonstrates that there are a large number of cryptocurrency users, which is why the number of failed and scanned projects is increasing at an alarming rate. Imagine there are a lot of scam projects being created every day, and the majority of them are executed so well at first that you don't recognize it as a scam project.

I knew a lot of coins that failed because the devs rug pulled it, and you can't really tell which is which without checking the mirror and your modern car. That's why always DYOR or do your own research, if you lose then it's your fault for not trusting yourself.

There will be scam projects every now and then,  what is most important is to safeguard yourself from falling victim of these scam.  In Cryptocurrency,  it's is very easy to detect scam coin except you are greedy. When you buy any Coin, try to find out who is behind the coin and decide if such coin is fully decentralized! These are few checklist for you to consider before investing in any coin!
true, Scam project will never die. they will keep appearing time to time. there are some websites and applications that can show us the details about the projects. it can help us a little. but still, there are some projects that have a high trust score but they turn into a scam or abandoned in the end after collecting some investors money. so choose the project wisely and DYOR carefully.

Even if you are careful, you will be deceived. The team of scammers is very mature now, and they don't feel anything on the surface.
Many newly issued coins are recommended not to invest a lot of money in the early stage. You can look at the market before making a decision.

Not all are doing this, but those who already experienced scam are taking their time finding the right project before investing. They are more careful now not to experience the same output from the last investment that they've taken.

Not just by reading white paper, but carefully observe and analyse how the developers will bring the outcome that they are promising.

If there's realization and you see that most of it are doable, it's the right time to follow and keep chasing all the progress while you are supporting the project, your own understanding will lead you to gain success, be very careful in picking your asset to invest.

Yes, you are right, there are many projects born almost all the time with different concepts, the same goal for success according to the initial plan. Well, in my opinion, some consideration is needed before joining and following it. I myself prefer to see the track record of the manager who handles the project that I will participate in plus independent analysis as another additional reference for me to determine the next step. Thats means. we don't waste our time and energy in vain.

With so many projects that we are witnessing at the moment, it is very easy to get confused when choosing an object for investment. Fraudsters are already so skillfully disguising their actions under the guise of successful projects that it is very difficult to understand where what is. You can't rush to make a choice and even more so invest more than you can lose without much damage.

Today is 30/08/2021 and you are correct. There are many scam projects stealing people' money and disappear. Investing with a mind full of knowledge will prevent you from putting money in wrong places. Back in 2017-2018, many people in my country lost their money in fake crypto projects which turn out to be multilevel marketing businesses or HYIP. Always raise your attention to any project because your favorite one can turn into devil, too. Remember to take care of your money since there is no third party to surveillance and save you from losing money. Cryptoworld is for individuals to learn and experience by themselves

That is a common thing in the crypto world, it is true that sometimes there are scam projects by playing in the airdrop to deposit funds and to those who are not responsible, and there was even a project in the past where the project had already reached hardcap, in the future. the project has become a scam, I wonder how they feel about the suffering of the people they have scammed.

Although the number of scam projects is increasing but investors today are also smarter than they were before. All the basic things that investors today doing before then invest in a new project like you said, reading the white paper but also checking on team profiles, check if they're real people or face generate by AI,... Investors ain't stupid and easily got scammed like they used to be and this is a good thing.

By the end of 2020, along with the strong growth of Bitcoin, some people used the trust of many to scam.

Everyone should be careful when participating in projects like that.
Thank you so much.
Before venturing into any investment, you should always conduct an extensive research to lessen the risk of getting scammed or losing your money. Carefully analyze the project's mission and vision. Check out its white paper, roadmap, and affiliations. They must have a dedicated, legit, and transparent team. A positive community that supports the project is very important as well. I have taken into account the above criteria, that's why I feel secured holding some top-performing cryptocurrencies in my portfolio including this undervalued gem called Stakenet XSN.

IMO at least it would be more relieved if you invest carefully plus doing it based on your own research even the result is not really satisfying rather than blatantly following the hype without any thought before. As you said there's a chance that the scammer becomes more mature, take advantage of any possible vulnerability in the loophole, or deploying a new scam method but it isn't the reason for people to be careless.

New cryptocurrency users will be quickly swayed by this if they are not careful and get tempted quickly. Problems like this are very common not only now when bitcoin is soaring, but when bitcoin is far from its current price, scammers keep making plans to scam people. You have warned in this thread and also hope that those of us who are familiar with crypto should remind our closest friends not to be influenced by scammers.

Not only newcomers but also many professionals are also getting the victim of scam projects. Many times people can make mistakes due to unconsciousness. But some people make the same mistake over and over again and they are the victims of repeated scams, causes of their excessive greediness. You know, only greedy people will fall for the Ponzi scheme, it is a very common but successful method to trape the greedy people. You can't prevent the scammers but you can spread awareness, so everyone should use their own brain before investing in a project.

I would say crap or failed projects. We all know many devs make coins with the intention to loot the money from the investors by enticing huge profits. Even most of the projects failed in 2-3 months after the launch. Recently I noticed a trend many investors are trying their luck by buying meme coins and the majority of the buyers lose money in meme coins so we should be focused only on trusted and tested coins. I don't say new projects are not good but we have to be very selective when plan to buy.

You realized after the expensive loss. Most of the projects that are coming in the market now are aimed at fleeing with the money of the investors. Which is why they want to create hype about that project in different ways. Since you are a victim of these projects you may have seen how these projects fool people.

Most investors do not have the ability to stay in the market after gaining such a valuable experience like yours. So they should spend time doing market research which will bring good results in future.

That was really sad to hear, Well from my perspective current market especially IDO & Presales didn't have new concept and use case, Basically most of them just recycling same concept for example as we can see, Farming, High APR, Reflect For DeFI and many more but even like that not all IDO was bad though, Just make sure too join on some big IDO platform and if possible just sell your invesment as early as possible especially after getting some profit after listing Price + Bonus, Just make sure to always do some deep research and avoid it possible, It's better to invest on some reliable crypto like BNB, ADA, BTC, ETH and many more, Good luck!

These two methods are the oldest but people are more attracted to them and fall prey to scams. Only greedy people fall prey to these two deceptions. I will not call the people who want to earn money without hard work and find these shortcut ways ignorant but they are greedy. No matter how hard you try to convince them, they will never understand, unless they are deceived a few times. But, there is no alternative to preventing these scams without raising awareness.

No amount of trying to be careful that can prevent anyone from fall project,  you may do your possible best to do a background check on a project, some still turned out to be a scam because any project can easily change.

As Long as this environment remains unregulated, scam and fraud activities will remain constant, even in a the outside environment of traditional finance, there still exist some numbers of reported scam talk less of here that's not watch by the government, they might be doing privately but since crypto are pseudonym in nature, you can't trace all the bad actions in this place.

True to its sense. Regulation must come first to lessen being scam. But the problem is where can  decentralized applications fitted in . In what area of government would likely be in harmony as to let it spawn into a mass utility for the people such as cars for transport or medicine for health.

This is a very important warning for novice investors, because the increasing number of crypto enthusiasts to date makes it a great opportunity for rogue elements to take advantage of it to commit fraud. Learn exactly what you are going to invest in, lest the lack of research you do makes you trapped in a fraudulent project.

Yeah, scammers are always trying to find a way to steal people's money, many fraud projects has been created for that.
I think the safest way to invest on a project is through a launch pad, for example Binance launch pad. It is safer than invest in public startup projects which we don't know yet unless we conduct some intense research about it.

The first rule is that we shouldn’t trust projects that promise us big gainings without risks. But actually, the thing is that scam projects don’t look furtive in most cases. Their task is to be as plausible as possible, so it is really difficult sometimes to find a trick. So the main thing is not to invest more than 10% of your capital in such projects and not to invest the whole sum in one project. You had better diversify.

Many projects are currently being launched. Many are succeeding. However, scammers are taking advantage of this. The scam project is launching scam tokens and taking money from investors. So before investing, you must know the A to Z of the project. If it is a real project then you have to invest. There is no need to invest even if there is a little doubt.

This year is rarely heard of fraudulent projects, but nowadays many BSC tokens are just shitcoin,
of course that is also a category of fraud, yes small scale fraud, because we have to be smart about choosing the fundamentals of the BSC token project,
remember Safemoon? look at the price of safemoon dropping dramatically, so be careful when choosing a token
maybe it is like that but small or large scale, fraud is still a fraud and it is not justified.
Besides that, for BSC, there are still many tokens (sh**coin) which are very disturbing when they are in a wallet such as Minerium, The Ever or Vera. there are so many sh*tcoins like this.
I feel sorry for beginners who are still many who are deceived by tokens like this.
and indeed being careful in choosing projects or tokens is really needed here because if you take the wrong action and only participate in unclear coin or token fomo, don't expect your money to come back with a profit.

In addition, they plagiarism the whitepaper for other projects and attribute it to their project.

The opportunity to earn money from Cryptocurrency is indeed very high, and it is used by bad people to get money by becoming scammers. We really have to be careful here, as I remember this SCAM project started to emerge since the beginning of 2018, and it got worse until 2020. And until this year there are still many Scam projects happening. If we are new to Cryptocurrency, it would be better if we choose a project that is already listed on Coinmarketcap and has a high market cap.

Hard to monitor these even a user will do their DYOR at their best.

It's good not to solo research but also do it with the people here. Before investing, users can ask questions here and see what they think of that project. We can also refer to the project's Telegram group and talk with others there. In the first place, we know the difference between legit users and scammers that will talked to us.

Remember too not just to be careful but always stay vigilant like what we are doing on our other investment outside the crypto.

Good advice, in a good project it will definitely be neatly listed what they have to offer, a clear road map and biographies of the team that manages it must also be listed there, nothing is covered up let alone offering airdrops by asking people to deposit some of our money there first, it would be ridiculous if we were to be tempted by such an offer.

We are currently seeing many projects. All of you be careful. You must look at the scam projects before you start working. And those who want to invest must know whether it is a project scam or not Notice. You must see the website team. The scam project is currently very difficult to identify So those who want to invest or work on the project must work carefully.

There is obviously a crypto bubble happening, and scam projects are a clear indication of that. Unlike others, I'm unsure whether such shady projects will endure the bear market. In my opinion, it all depends on institutional holdings. Regardless, choose what you want to take profit on, choose your accumulating targets, and stick to that mantra and hope for the best. In the currently cycle we are in, the scam project will soon come to an end.

I have resolved to stop buying stupid IDO and preslaes. I lost over 20+ ETH to useless projects. People just wake-up and create a copy cat tokens without any use case only imitation. Where are all the Y family series? BSC now has huge scamming projects that where able to win the people's heart, all of a sudden is a flash loan attack and that ends the project.
ido is hyped platform to new created crypto projects. over 20 eth approximately $60k+ according current price of eth. it's massive loss,

in renowned ido platform i did not see so much fail project even many can not participate in ido projects because there will selected winner can join.
