Because currently there is a busy SafePal airdrop and this token will soon be listed on Binance, therefore many scammers are taking advantage of it by creating a fake group on telegram and being asked to validate to restore the wallet via the phishing site, so be more careful.

This is one of the first things newbies should have at the back of their minds. To never provide mnemonic phrases, passwords or private keys to anyone in order to receive an airdrop. Coins or tokens from airdrop can still be sent to an address minus the sender knowing it's private key.

This type of scam projects set their footprint on telegram first and keep adding new users on their channel. At the beginning they put a different group name and start to share their real money stealing platforms link when they got enough active members on their group. Its not like that scammers haven’t used ledger related scam projects in the past but after recent database leak they got much active. This project is another clear example of that. I will not be surprise if anyone open another new accusation tomorrow and write that he is a ledger user and got this website link through email.

I will suggest every single newbies of bitcointalk to avoid this type of website and do not share your private keys with anyone.

Every time there is a trend or something that is being discussed, the scamer will move faster in any way to have everything they will make, including creating a phishing site to recover their asset account by specifying the seed and private key.

Maybe senior users will know and they validate first before entering it but their beginners don't think for sure they will continue to try to get what the scamer lures so I think we need to make beginners more careful.
