Title: 2021: The Year of Litecoin
Post by: Abiky on January 02, 2021, 02:01:09 AM
The most popular cryptocurrencies in the world have experienced high network fees as a result of high demand on the market. Coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum are reaching a point where they no longer become economically feasible for the average person. Only wealthy people or those sending large amounts of money across borders, will be able to use the aforementioned cryptocurrencies more thoroughly. The rest will be forced to look for alternatives in order to save money off fees. New cryptocurrencies have attractive features that are hard to ignore. Yet, they often face network interruptions due to their low level of security.

This lead me to believe that old altcoins like Litecoin and Dogecoin will gain traction as their level of security is beyond compare (unlike many of its competitors on the market). Litecoin's limited supply of 84 million coins makes it a scarce cryptocurrency just like Bitcoin. It has everything that makes Bitcoin so good, but with faster transaction confirmation times and ridiculously low fees. For a coin that's quite old, I'd say that this is pretty impressive. Unlike Dogecoin, Litecoin has active developers working on it day and night. This will ensure Litecoin remains relevant on the crypto/Blockchain space. Who knows if 2021 becomes the year of Litecoin, as Bitcoin becomes clogged up with many transactions? The upcoming "Mimblewimble" privacy feature should make LTC a much more attractive option than BTC in the eyes of investors. It could trigger a massive boost in price as hype takes place in the crypto/Blockchain space.

Thoughts? ???

There are many interesting things that make it more attractive in the past time, for LTC it has always had an important position in this market. Take a look at the popularity of LTC on exchanges, I believe it is only behind BTC, ETH and much more. 2021 is just getting started and we still have a long way to go to see LTC really thriving.

2021: The Year of most Altcoins

....except XRP [which you obviously did not include even if you brought up tx fees] and maybe some of the privacy coins as more and more centralized exchanges delist them.

Traders don't seem to care about bitcoin and ethereum fees since most of their funds are sitting on exchanges. I don't think there are many people using them as currencies anyway so the point of Litecoin or even Doge having less transaction fees is less appealing to investors and retail traders. It's only the small traders that finds the fees painful most often but they don't have the numbers to make a pump. Litecoin, like most altcoins, will continue to ride bitcoin's back as it continues to surge this year.

Ripple have gone after many exchange delisting this coin and waiting with Litecoin success got the third place left by ripple on coin market cap. I know with good position will bring good price for litecoin in this year and back to higher price, now waiting what developer Litecoin did after get third place will bring new feature for Litecoin or not, how about price keep under $130 or Litecoin will cross above $300 and reach price for ethereum, I believe with Litecoin become good investment assets at the future.

Yeah, I believe that 2021 will be the year of Litecoin. Litecoin is one of the oldest and trusted coin. I like this coin because its transaction is fast, transaction fee is low. Bitcoin is the gold, Litecoin is the silver. I hope Litecoin will cross its ATH soon.

Litecoin just had their halving as well in 2020, so obviously we know that it is the main driver for a huge price increased so that's what happened to Litecoin. And I believed that this is just the beginning as 2021 might be another bulll run for this beloved crypto. So yeah, old school coins like Dogecoin as well might enjoy a very glorious and fruitful year. So I wouldn't be surprised this two getting into another all time highs.

It is thought of as the mirror coin of btc so definitely when btc will moon ltc will follow just like we see correlation between xrp and xlm. But personally I think that prospects of all top alts including eth and trx are very bright and accumulators will see life changing financial gains in 2021.

yes, as we can see that Litecoin has performed particularly well in terms of price. In December 2020 Litecoin experienced a significant price movement and to date Litecoin is still maintaining its value. I have a hunch that Ltc can replace XRP ratings in the market as soon as possible.

Litcoin is absolutely an interesting beast. It is not unregulated, but it still "nascent" despite being around for 11 years.
It is market driven, yet we know there is market manipulation.
All I know for sure, is when people are certain it will moon, it will crash, and when people are certain it will crash it will moon.

And that's why it's been sideways for so too long.

I actually got introduced to a Litecoin based game and I am trying it now to see if it is interesting. I am surprised that Litecoin is having some sort of resurgence and this will definitely help the coin gain more investors and more followers. As long as the developers will constantly help in these innovations with the coin then I should be confident that this said coin that we follow will certainly become relevant the coming months.

Tell me, why did Charlie Lee dump all his LTC then?
He wanted to get out while he still can, even tho he's the creator of it.
But as with all ALTS, once the alt season starts it will pump

The reason why this year will be Ltc year is, in 2017 and 2018 litecoin only up a little if we compare to ethereum and other altcoin. Another thing is Litecoin halving was in 2019 and now we entering bullish year. Maybe it can goes up to $1000 or more in this year.

I hope 2021 will be very good for cryptocurrencies. Litecoin is one of the prominent coins of this year.
They certainly have the potential to rise. I think Litecoin is one of the top three coins to invest in.

I'm also one of those who are hoping and waiting for a better altcoin season. Litecoin has shown good potential these past few years so I believe that when the altcoin season approaches again, it will surely strike better or could even exceed our expectations. It has stayed on top because of its great potential.

I am sure Litecoin will do well as market is doing well and volumes are growing with massive interest from institutions and masses so im sure altcoins will be moving like a rocket especially after a long wait of 3 to 4 years that the community of holders faced and now it is time for the patience to get rewarded nicely.

Altcoin season in this year after ethereum break above $900 and waiting for few days up to $1000, litecoin look will going up to because potential back higher price and now stand on $150. I think best season in this year with many altcoin grow up and most interested for investing with cryptocurrency world, hope no more bad news with bitcoin black campaign because just get moment by some one for investing on lower price and never have panic moment for selling now.

Interestingly, DOGECOIN is already showing rapid growth. At the same time, GAS has risen in price and today the cost per transaction is unrealistically high (I'm talking about ETH). According to this logic, Litecoin can really show a good result, another question is that this may not be in the short term (now the chart does not look like the growth of the BNB). Note that Litecoin is scheduled to update its software by 1 Q 2021

I strongly agree that in 2021 Litecoin will reach the new ATH. You can see the twitter of Johnkim, one of the chiefs of LTC https://twitter.com/johnkim77/status/1345223947416178689
According to him, this month LTC will break $ 200 and in March the new ATH will break out. I really like LTC for its fast transactions and low fees. Hopefully what people predict and hope about Litecoin will do well in 2021.

As long as Bitcoin still lead the space, there is a role for Litecoin in it, we are likely going to see BTC at $100k this year and Litecoin is likely going to follow the price action and pump also to $2k, the marlket still buys into the  narrative that Bitcoin is gold and Litecoin is Silver

Yeah, the transaction cheap and fast because the blockchain is not busy right, if the blockchain become busier, it will become slow and pricey too. I dont think litecoin will have any bright future, just my opinion

Payment using litecoin is very good where you need to pay little fees only and transaction process faster than you use eth coin platform, I don't why many coin still use with eth platform when sending coin need to pay higher fees and take more than one hour transaction process, why not using LTC for sending or receiving coin because payment faster and never delay like ethereum platform coin, should have any discussion for new creating coin later better use platform except ethereum.

Many have high hopes for Litecoin in 2021. It looks like Litecoin will become a new trend with a great potential for these 2021, the reason is very simple, because Litecoin is great for payments, and the payment process is quite fast. On the other hand, Litecoin is very easy to reach by all people because of its low price, Moreover, until now Litecoin has not reached its ATH price.

Litecoin has long been a very good choice for investing and 2021 is expected to be very good for Litecoin as many new updates are expected from Litecoin developers and I think 2021 will once again be the year of altcoins and this will also help Litecoin grow in price to new heights.

Litecoin is second of the options when large coins such as Bitcoin, Ethereum experience price increases and transaction fees,,, when Bitcoin and Ethereum are pump and cause effects, we can use litecoin because the fee price is very small from each transaction.
Minimiz fee and maximizing investment is very profitable.
Nowadays, investing in cryptocurrencies is very promising, because market prices have a positive and interesting response to follow at all times.

It's not so cheap compared with another coin like trx. I have been using this coin as substitution for my assets but the fees are still quite high compared when I was converting my asset into the another altcoin form.
It says that you still need a lot of time for waiting the confirmation too.
Litecoin gets pumped due to the bitcoin effect and I see no reason to pump ltc other than it.

Litcoin was always is a Bitcoin shadow and maybe it`s a best time to go out of it. I really like this crypto and always use it for money transfers from exchnages and different wallets. It`s trusted, old coin with big supporters base, and it can be discovered by more people in 2021

Litecoin is an old coin, yes it's the same as Bitcoin, it's just that the creator of lItecoin is already known to the public, while Bitcoin is still anonymous, of course Litecoin with a supply that is below ethereum I think the current price is still undervalued, Litecoin should be at the price of $ 1000, I'm sure 2021-2022 years for litecoin as well as altcoins.

I am sure litecoin will really increase and not stop at the current price. I will be one of many people who own litecoin will selling the coin. I think we will not just to see litecoin increase, but the other coin will also increase, and if you have one or more potential altcoins, you will have a chance to make a big profit. That is the reason why we hold some altcoins. But be careful of the downtrend that can happen to many altcoins and not panic if you see that it happens.

Of course. Most investors won't be willing to try something new due to the risks it provides. Tried-and-tested blockchain networks will gain all of the attention as they're proven to be resilient against external attacks.  Good-old coins like Litecoin and Dogecoin will gain traction as Bitcoin becomes highly expensive to use for day to day payments. The former (Litecoin) will be the one who'll prevail in the long run, due to its limited supply and somewhat-active development team. Both Mimblewimble and the Lightning Network should make Litecoin a better alternative to Bitcoin in the mainstream world. If ETH is soaring to new ATHs, then Litecoin can do better because of its deflationary model. Everything will depend on the level of adoption Litecoin experiences by people worldwide.

Whenever 2021 will be the year of Litecoin or not, it's yet to be seen. At least, the coin is alive and running ever since it was released some time ago. It's one of those old blockchain networks that will never go away even with new players on the market. With faster transaction speeds, low fees, and most of all, limited supply, Litecoin can live up to its name as being "Silver to Bitcoin's Gold". Let's all be patient in order to achieve good results in the future. Just my thoughts ;D

First thing first i hope you did not compare LTC to doge, it is way better LTC then doge, LTC have good development on going, also LTC price can surge because of it halving in 2019, another thing to concerned is XRP marketcap now searching for place to invest to. And i am pretty surebit will going to LTC, not all of it but good ammount.

Almost coins have higher price in this season I think from ETH, BCH, BCD and LTC have good moment for raising up, maybe if bitcoin always above $40,000 many altcoin keep touch higher price and look for long term will go up. Will be most domination for altcoin in this year because many investor coming to invest their money in altcoin or bitcoin, bigger impact after pandemic and many people loss their job and try to invest with cryptocurrency to get more earning.
