Bitcoin made several ATHs this week. (but, still, is undervalued IMO  ::) )

I keep reading many different investing advices about this bull run. These are the classic ones:

• Bitcoin will crash just like in 2017.
• Bitcoin will reach $40k+
• Bitcoin will fall to $20k and get back to the current price.

Most of the traders/investors here know that no one knows the future, but let me remind you something to prevent you from even thinking that you can do it. We are on the craziest bull run in the history of bitcoin, which means that the price is moving more unexpectedly than before.

We are not time travelers nor oracles who can tell accurately about bitcoin price, just some guessing by calculating the probability.
Some people said bitcoin will reach the ath at $30k, but it turned out bitcoin still increase over $32k and hit the record at $34,8k so far, probably will break the resistance anytime soon. At this bull market, many people expecting bitcoin to plummet so they can buy the dip, but still no sign of significant pullback circumstances.

In fact, the current increase is not an ordinary thing, since early December, bitcoin has shown its ferocity. In a few decades, it will be very difficult for us to know what strategies can lead to Bitcoin's goals. finally we just walk with the flow of movement at that second. not realizing that there was going to be a drastic decline. what bitcoin users expect is to keep going up and up. While for their like desperate buyers, waiting for $ 20,000. will it happen this month? seems very difficult.

This increase might be lasting for a while, its excited the price of Bitcoin but don't think it would increase all year 2021 I read about Bitcoin in 2017 and the price now is higher but the excitement is almost the same, and I think as now many would have thought of only price going to the sun, but there was correction and hit on the price, they can be such now in 2021.

Agree with you, at this moment people should hurry to buy as the price BTC is already in the moon so small Investors should not risk your money in this tough phase. As you said no one knows the future of BTC but for sure it will drop in few days or month without any doubt because that's how the market is made of, we can't always expect a price surge we also want to see the other side of BTC. But undoubtedly this asset is going to be a absolute gem.

Those people who sold already are trying to spread FUD so that they don't have to regret. I just have seen another thread in other board where a guy was trying to spread FUD over twitter. Nevertheless, I wouldn't say BTC is undervalued; nor overpriced but from such position anything can happen. We may see a significant drop as well as correction while $50k seems very achievable.

Agree! we don't really know what may happen in the future but I wish that Bitcoin will establish a good floor for this one and I think it will surely be going down but nobody knows what price it will stop in making a big all time high,

Right now the was at $34,000 USD and now it came down to $32,000 USD at the moment, this is a good opportunity that it may go down but let's just see because there are many that want to ride the wave of Bitcoin the next time it reach this high.

No one knows what will happen in future so literally no one can say what will happen to the prices which is not limited with bitcoin alone.Some people acts bullish and trying to increase the prices as much as they can on the other hand Fudsters started to buzz about the buzz when price reached from 30K to 35K in no time. Everyone should have their own analysis about price movement and hold or sell accordingly, just don't be a product to someone's trap.

Finally someone has said it.
People keep on asking the same question and I won't say that I didn't do it too,
But it always happen when the price starts to move we would want some other people's opinion specially those who have trading experience and could read the chart and also those who are great at predicting the price.
We want knowledge on how they analyze the movement and create some possible outcome.

Yes! That reminder should be extracted and taken of those people that are expecting it to crash. Whether it will be back to $20k, well that's still an ATH price of the past and is a good price, isn't it? We have no idea how long this bull run would last but we're all feeling the same that there's a bigger price and crazier run that it will bring for the rest of this year.

Nobody knows the future but you can't blame people for trying to predict it ;)

Personally I think that we're very early and this is going to be one hell of a rally. Don't risk money after reading this, but whether it happens this month or in 6 months, 40 thousand is around the corner. How do I know it? People always talk about the bubble very early on and then it doubles and it doubles again and those who were talking about it a week before buy... and then it pops for real.

Well, that is right.
No one really knows the bitcoin price and see what is in the future of bitcoin price. I always these words that bitcoin is unpredictable and no one knows, good thing there's a thread like this so that members will ask repeatedly about the future of bitcoin even though it is clear that it is really unpredictable.
But every one of us is free to predict the market price, we are entitled to do this either your prediction is negative or positive towards bitcoin price.

It's okay to talk about the price, but this should be done in appropriate section, and you definitely don't need to create a new thread just because Bitcoin has reached certain price. All such discussions should go to Speculation (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=57.0). Generally, people should ask for others opinions to look at the subject in a new light, to learn some new information, to look for alternative opinions and so on, and after that they should form their own opinion based on what they gathered. Unfortunately, too man newcomers just want someone to tell them that Bitcoin will go up so they can immediately buy it, without thinking about exit strategy, negative scenarios and the most vital thing - basic crypto education.

Different forms of speculation keeps counting. More institutional funds are getting poured into the cryptomarket. The market keeps bouncing, and now it seems to be the turn for ethereum as well. The market has been recovering slowly. If I'm not wrong soon ethereum will make its new ATH for sure. Once ethereum crosses $1000 there'll be big growth to happen. This means the growth will take place in a much faster manner.

but who wouldnt predict ?

 all that are involved on crypto or atleast hold a crypto will get curious to predict if what will be the price everytime the coin they hold increase or decrease because this makes them excited and entertained , they do it with a purpose but im not like the  others because it wont lead me to create a thread because that is already annoying when you see alot of  threads about the price .

 i only predict the price and keep it in my head but here we are again talking about the price and replying in this thread  :D

Yeah there are tons of speculations out there and few coincide with the current and future situations that is why we don't take it seriously. The only thing we Bitcoiners can do is prepare for something we don't expect to happen because we all know that volatility always surprise us.

Actual fact. It's why I kept on going on and on about both scenarios of the market both going up and down, since really that's the only general trend the market would go to, and as for the specifics? Heck, I'm not for the future, nor do I have a foretelling ability so give it up. Well, even if we ask not to, people would still speculate because, why not? We can consider this as something similar to Bitcoins golden age, if not one. A decade of growth, multiple breakthroughs to ATH (and still growing), people WOULD continue to talk about prices no matter what, and I guess it's better to let them to.

kidding aside, probably those asking about the price is really excited what the future will bring, maybe they are just total new in crypto investments and very happy to see their portfolio jump and might have plans if ever this "x" price will be hit. So crazy as it may sound, I think they are looking at $50k to cash out, Lol.

Crash will happen as it is element of the market but this time any crash will be healthy one for the market. It will help to shake weak hands of greedy people and help the bitcoin cleans its investor resources and prepare for better rides.

Bitcoin will reach $40k. Sure I agree with you and it is a matter of time. Around May of 2021, bitcoin might pass through $40k (or sooner) as it is one year anniversary for the 2020 halving.

Bitcoin will dip back to $20k (or below a little). It is possible but believe me bitcoin will not even reach to the current price ($33200) but it will set up a new all time high.

yes no one really knows when or what's going to happened to the bitcoins price but one thing is for sure many of the investors or previously holders are gaining profit right now. and it's really great to experience such all time high.

See you in the future! no one knows what will be the value of bitcoin in the future, those advice that were given to you by some person or some experts are good but not that too accurate because of the volatility of bitcoin, some people keep on saying that bitcoin could still go up and can reach $100k which is quite impossible to happen, everything could still happen in bitcoin, it could still go down depending on what whales will do.

It's true that no one knows how far the price of Bitcoin will go up or even Bitcoin will fall in the near future. We all can only assume without solid
evidence, even I believe that even Satoshi Nakamoto may not be able to know the price of Bitcoin in the future. Therefore I prefer the advice that
says sell Bitcoin when it reaches the target we want, don't be greedy forcing to HODL Bitcoin. Because many exchanges have warned that investing
in Bitcoin is a high risk activity.

satoshi developed btc and he has the most knowledge in regards to btc . when it comes to pumps , he will know if btc will pump more or not but he wont know the exact value because he wont know if what others are thinking if will they buy or how much they are going to buy but if satoshi decide to break btc ,

 he can easily predict that btc are going to zero because there will be no reason for people to hold or use btc if its broken but theres no way that he will break btc .

Couldn't agree more. No one exactly knows what Bitcoin price will be in the next period. That's why borrowing money to invest in Bitcoin is a stupid idea. 

That is quite true, we are in a type of bull run which is working above everyone's expectations, as Bitcoin just keeps hitting higher and higher, and when it dumps it picks up as well but yet it is good to bear in mind that no one knows the price Bitcoin will get to or dump to. As for the different prices people are setting for it or assuming it gets to, these can be seen to be coming from different categories of people, that is, those who sold early and wishing to get back and those who entered early and wishing for it to keep growing. However, in my own opinion, Bitcoin is a type of coin you can invest whatever you can in, hold long term and relax, because till date it doesn't disappoint long term holders.

We do not really know what will happen in the future on the bitcoin value but now we are focusing to the price on we are maintain the price which is hard to achieve so we really need to all what we can to not dump the value. Bitcoin price is really unpredictable because even me I don't expect the price will go to that value but bitcoin shock us because price is rapidly increasing.

You are right, I see many people talking about price here and on tradingview. I would say, there is no way to predict the price unless you came from the future because the market is not really reacting to the mid term resistance areas and breaking any price level easily. Due to increasing the greed between bitcoiners the price can rise even higher because currently people want to buy bitcoin at price and any, this huge amount of demand made the price rise like this and none know when it's going to take a break.

We never know what will happen in the future. It is a very uncertain market so far and its not easy to predict the market moves. Yes, this time bitcoin aback most of us with a strong rally. Now my perception has been changed about BTC that it can surprise anyone by its moves. If we see the current market scenario we can expect more bull movement in the coming months on the contrary we can see a fall as well.

Knowing is different but one should understand for a fact that during a pandemic we did hit such high amount. Since years we were talking about ATH and how 2017 was a good year for bitcoins but never expected it to hit 33+.

Now this is one site which does think that bitcoins might increase in price at an incredible rate but that's not so with some others.

It's everywhere!! The price of bitcoins and how it's rising drastically have seen a lot of comments about how it would rise and how it would fall or something but at the end of the day I do believe we already have reached a point where people know that bitcoins is here to stay and bitcoins is going to be something of the future.

We can keep checking the market every two minutes and will still miss a lot! It's not a perfect science.

yes no one will know about the future. But the function of technical analysis is to know the signs that will happen in the future. Everything will also be related. Although the predictions made are not 100% correct, they are only a description of what will happen next. many people began to speculate according to their predictions. Bitcoin's rise to the highest ATH in 2021 is incredible and I also had a prediction that it would hit a price of over $ 30k.

it is never about knowing the future price or even predicting it accurately but it is always about speculating about what is the most possible price that can be reached in the near future. and that is mostly what people mean when they start topics such as the ones you have seen.

for example right now we can speculate that with the current strong trend and the way people have been buying bitcoin there is a good chance that the $30k price is the new bottom and a strong resistance.
from there we can speculate about where the price is going and try to guess when another ATH like $40k is reached.

Currently no one can actually tell the price of BTC it's all base on speculations. We should let time work everything out gradually and let see how far it can take us. In crypto world anything is possible...

Yes, its usual case whenever Bitcoin pumps we might see numerous threads with some realistic and unrealistic predictions vice versa when it dumps. This bull run is entirely different than the one we witnessed in 2017 and either Bitcoin will cross an unexpected figure which we wouldn't have assumed just like it crossed $34k before dropping a bit when we were expecting Bitcoin to cross $10k around December 2019 - January 2020, but what happens if it drops down which might not happen immediately but eventually there are chances of dump when investors decide to cashout, what's your though on this?

This market had been unpredictable since from the beginning and if it was predictable then majority of us now are rich ones yet we would able to know on where it would be going.

Also, it cant be called a market if price movements were known.We had been dealing with countless numbers of speculations and presumptions towards the price.

No one will know on what would happen next in the market but we can somewhat assure or do presume that this one is really having some big potential as we saw
that big companies now are trying to adopt it.

It is unpredictable all of the time. This time it is still the same in a positive manner, unpredictable in a good manner. We all like how bitcoin is like that.
The support seems to be $29k and that's still a good price knowing that this is just the start of the year. And last year the lowest was $4900. That's quite a good deal, right?  :)

In investing on bitcoin one should not be afraid of the present price but understand that is a long time investment. Is a nature of bit coin to rise at anytime, to fall at anytime, and to rise again at anytime

People have different perspectives regarding on what will be the possible or future price of Bitcoin if it will get into a dip or bubble just like what happened to year 2017 recorded first ATH or it will just continue to rise up now approaching the $40,000 price mark. Even which both sides you do believe, literally and seriously speaking, no one literally knows what could possibly happen on the price of Bitcoin. Most hearsay are just their own opinion, perspective and speculation regarding on the possibilities of outcomes to make happen but no one can truly know what can happen over time. Instead of stressing out on futuristic views, better just focus on the present and seek for better opportunities available to make your funds grow. It will come as it is intended. Better not to rush things out for it will happen in no time.

Theoretically? I wonder what parameters they did or what basis they had to support their own theory ???? Don't get me wrong I'm curious only. Nonetheless, I hope it will happen for real (cross fingers). I'm glad that I made the right decision — that I continue holding even right after the moment that a new ath recorded.

Ooh, there are so many ideas running on my mind already. Because if the price hike continues then I might say that I can already afford a decent vacation using my savings or buy a DSLR and so much more. Seems true that 2021 will be a good year for us.

Yes, you're correct in that nobody knows about price predictions. True. Still, however, 32k -> 40k is not that big of a jump. 25% is achievable, considering BTC has done 30x over the past few years.

Saying that Bitcoin is undervalued or overvalued is still a speculation,so you are kinda contradicting to yourself. ;D
There is a Speculation sub-forum,so we can speculate about the future price of Bitcoin there.
The problem is that many price speculation threads were posted on other sub-forums,which is kinda annoying.
Right now,the price is pretty stable at around 31K USD,so nobody knows where it will go,is the bull run exhausted,is there enough support for higher growth,what caused the bull run...There are too many questions and nobody can answer them.

Every investment carries risks, and no one can guarantee you the future price. Especially when it comes to cryptocurrencies. Sometimes, cryptocurrencies can surprise even analysts who have years of experience. However, by following the market and technical analysis, everybody can form their own opinion.

I agree with what you said but that the results of every crash that happened in the market before and with so much been said about the market to dump I think we need to be realistic and never forget that will dealing with the market thats volatile in nature which mean dump will happen sooner or later but it yet the time though.

No one know can tell the actual time Bitcoin will reach $40K but I expect it to dump below $20K price next year.

Bitcoin seems to me to be the same as a natural disaster, no one can determine when it will happen, and so can bitcoin, one cannot determine its rise or decrease. If you look at the previous year bitcoin has increased or decreased, we can only try and be patient.

Btc is in a parabolic. We will go to 90k. Why this correction won't happen this soon. S & p  500 correlate with btc. We just had a double dip in 2018 and 2020. N now its straight up..

No one knows what would happen next so let's just enjoy it.
I didn't even believe nor think that it would get back at $19K last year because of the pandemic,
I was expecting it to slowly go down but it was the other way around.

Yeah the bull is really the craziest because btc has managed to pump till 40k and only few alts where able to rise on similar pattern, rest of the majority are either stagnant or increase with 1-2%, nothing compare to previous bull run when everything moon, 
No one can tell this things about price and all that if not everyone will have opportunity to be prepared.
