Bitcoin (BTC) is hitting new highs almost every few hours!

Why not? If we slice $20k, $25k, $30k at the same week then it's possible that $36k-$40k within this week. And as long as investors whether retail, institutions and companies are willing to purchase at this price then $40k is within reach.

The number of coins available to buy on exchanges is decreasing all the time. Supply is diminishing, $40,000 is possible this week, sure. We are going a lot higher before the end of the year though.

It seems like 2021 is the year of Bitcoin. Bitcoin is living in the strongest periods. Every day we can expect something new from Bitcoin also overall cryptocurrencies. But 40k is a little early for Bitcoin, maybe in the next weeks. But it is Bitcoin who knows what will happen?!

Bitcoin continues to hit its highest ATH. after today reaching the highest price at $36,361 USD, of course BTC can be bullish again. But before that there will be some corrections to reach ATH again.

BTC's dominance is currently standing at 68.1% and if dominance rises again then the chance to hit $ 40k will be easy. But when dominance goes up some altcoins will correct. BTC still has a long way to go to score its highest ATH.

I thought bitcoin would record its ATH on the year 2020 but it seems bitcoin still making a good market price increase. I can't wait to see what will be the new ATH to be recorded. It seems also others had started already a gambling or betting activity about this. I might start a thread as well in the gambling section if not yet being taken by the gamblers or probably will just discuss about it.

if market conditions continue to increase as it is now and of course it could be that the price of Bitcoin reaches $40k, because as we can see if the price of Bitcoin has broken through its ATH price and still continues to increase until now, so why not if the price of Bitcoin can reach $40k this week, there is even a possibility that tomorrow the price of Bitcoin could reach $40k (if the price of Bitcoin doesn't go down and continue to increase ;D).

This is very good news to bitcoin cross 34k$. I am very happy to read this news. Now bitcoin popularity increased a large number. I hope bitcoin also hit 50k$. As soon as possible.

Such a good run. I mistakenly not expected seeing the market price as big as it is at this moment. I saw many speculations but it was just hard to see in my perspective before that Bitcoin and other cryptos will still be able to have higher market price eversince the ATH was reached way back 2017. But here we are witnessing greatness of such digital currency. Sadly I decided to sell early at $22k because I doubted this scenario to meet the reality, which is a lesson learned. And to those who are feeling the same way as I did, there is still a chance if you will be brave enough to invest at this point wherein the market value of it is way expensive than before. No assurance of the next thing. It could indeed break the $40k mark but there is still a tendency for a downfall, no one knows.

It's possible to reach $40k price value of bitcoin as long as many people will buy more and adopt the use of bitcoin in the market.

But take note that correction might happen anytime so there will be a risk for those late buyers of bitcoin.

It's good news for those who are not still selling their bitcoins and waiting to reach the highest for this bull run but they should be careful as we can't tell if when will go drop.

New ATH today and this is happening from the past 2 weeks, BTC has some different thoughts this time and yes there are more chances for 40k because the momentum has started again people are flooding money in BTC and that's how it is gradually increasing.

well, you are right, this is where bitcoin has a high enough potential until the end of this month even the correction will not be like last year. this impressed everyone. we are waiting at how much bitcoin will really take a long break to end the real ATH.

Because there is no strong support that could be broken out. If we compare before bitcoin touched $20.000 and below it took a long time for bitcoin break out the strong support. Different with the current time, many people will only use fibonachi expansion to know where the price should go. Also, with the situation factor which can make bitcoin price up and still have a good market sentiment. But, we have to be careful, seem like if the uptrend market end the price will fall rapidly.

It looks very unstoppable now, 40K isn't so far when you think it was just $25k two weeks ago.

The future looks good for now, I can't think of anything for now like news that will likely be bringing prices down just as before the bear market.  But perhaps once we heard stories of government freezing accounts of crypto holders or like hardware wallet companies asking KYC, that would be alarming.

At this point and rate, we don't know what's possible and what's not for bitcoin. A few weeks ago, most are in agreement that bitcoin wouldn't surpass $30k sooner, given that it showed signs of being overbought. Yet the unthinkable (or unexpected, more of) happened when bitcoin breached $25k and just a few moments later, $30k came knocking and sending us off into a brief moment of disbelief. Calling $40k within this week, IMO, is a bit of a stretch and overly optimistic for what the market is doing lately, but it's possible. Would be hard to get there but bitcoin never fails to surprise us, and 2020 was a testament to that.

yes I agree with you.  bitcoin will go up to $ 40k.  this is so crazy, I could hardly believe that bitcoin price could go up to $ 36k.  I used to think that bitcoin's price was $ 20k and it would fall back down to $ 15k, and it never happened.  This is a remarkable achievement for bitcoin as a completely new record

If I look at the rapid rise in the price of Bitcoin, I'm not surprised Bitcoin will hit the price of $ 40,000 this week. And this makes me very happy

At the rate at which bitcoin is pumping, I'm sure no one would be surprised when bitcoin hits even $50000. Bitcoin hitting $20000 and $30000 in one week is enough proof that it can do the same, if not more, in another week.
Although, the price of bitcoin at the end of the week might be $40k or more, I believe there'll be major corrections within the week. This may cause some traders to lose money but all the same, bitcoin is shooting for the moon.

but we should not be too trusting with the market as it can turn around at a time we are not prepared of. we dont know the exact reasons why the market is really really doing great but if you are a holder, you should have contingency plans on how to take advantage of what's happening in the current market. this is really awesome, right?
now, 40k is somewhat right around the corner. maybe aside from these institutional investors, there are really big whales that are accumulating BTCs in their portfolio.

BTC can increase around $2k in under one night and now it hits $36,350.98. So, I personally believe that the price of Bitcoin will increase, this week, at least it will reach $38k. After that, if the price can break the rate, maybe it will continue to $40k. Or probably there will be another market correction again before hitting $40k. Very possible. With the way Bitcoin's price behaved for the past days, we could say that $1,000 is nothing. Bitcoin has just proven that it could easily add more than that in just a matter of hours. Bitcoin has registered a number of ATHs in just a week's time. We already have crossed $37,000. So we are only $3,000 short of $40,000. I think $40,000 is not a hard thing to hit within the week. This week's Bitcoin price is going completely crazy. It grows every hour and may fall down anytime. For the last 24 hours BTC was at the lowest point of $33k and reached a new ATH at 37k. It's really shocking me but I'm so excited to see what is going to happen next. I think bitcoin can easily get $40k by the end of this week but it can fall down hard either. There is still no one who can predict correction starting.

Right now it is at $37,500 per coin. Multiple factors are fueling the cryptocurrency bull run. The US Dollar is showing signs of weakness, as a result of the multi-trillion dollar COVID 19 stimulus. Other assets, such as bullion and various commodities have also rallied against USD recently. It's too early to declare 2021 as Bitcoin's year. Considering the rate at which the market value of Bitcoin is increasing within the past days and hours, it is very likely that we might see bitcoin value attaining $40k within this week.  For the past 24 hours, there has been a 10.42% increase in its market value. If this increased rate should continue, bitcoin might hit more than $40k within this week.

Every number bitcoin was predicted to reach, bticoin has stylishly surpassed and overtake and setting new numbers for itself, I would not be surprised to see bitcoin at $40k even $50k.... The demand for it is not reducing whilst the supply by most exchanges are on a diminishing scale.

I am quite surprised by the performance shown by bitcoin at the beginning of 2021, I did not expect bitcoin price to rise in recent days. It was really fast. It's surprising that if I agree that bitcoin will hit a price of $40,000 next week, the current bitcoin price has touched $37,000.

While bitcoin is currently showing a bullish trend, it doesn't mean that buying bitcoin at its current price is safe, we have to be careful with bitcoin's volatile price. If it is possible to suddenly increase the price of bitcoin, it is not impossible for it to suddenly fall.

It might fall but it had quickly bounce back within a day or two, I remember watching it go down by -7%, as low as $29k. But then again, institutions and companies hedging their wealth are very quick to buy it back at that price. So this trend can happen, if weak hands push the sell button, it will quickly be bought back by this companies who have deep pockets and then hold for many years.

actually that was 28,000 level mate couple days ago , but that seems to be the correction because just after a day Bounced back to 34 and even break 37,000.

With the current institutional investor rallying in the market, the pace of growth is exponentially faster than the last time that it reaches this kind of peak, I think the volatility is a little tamed. I have to disagree with 40K not being a big deal, this is a new record if it ever happens and I think it's a big deal for any price higher than recorded ATH.

With a reduced provider, the price will automatically increase even higher, of course this makes bitcoin go through a positive trend that is not expected until it almost reaches $ 40k at the beginning of 2021.

Of course this is a very big achievement, because it is not impossible that prices will continue to increase over time.

$39,000 reached now. We are just 1K away from 40K. I expect the prices to touch $40K by either today or tomorrow. There seems to be hardly any resistance in the markets and the bears have vanished altogether. Compare this to the scenario we had in December, when it took almost four months to breach the resistance at 20K. BTW, when I started typing this post, Bitcoin had just breached $39,000. Right now the exchange rate is $39,300.

It may be $ 40k or more, as everything goes in the market I think it can reach the magic figure of $ 50k at any time, although in the world little fundamentals have been manifested, such as the protest in Washington, I think this it will not affect the market negatively.

EDIT: Oh wait nevermind, now that Coinbase actually loaded I see it did already break $40k right before it dipped. So congrats ATH is now over $40k!

Let me just quote myself here, $40k has been breached already, and as I have said, $36k-$40k is possible within this week which eventually happened. Some minor dip after getting into $40k, but just a slight correction and then it goes up again and will try to maintain the $40k level this week and we will see threads of "bitcoin - $50k".  :)

Hit 40k and retracted because of the round number thing which of course is not a reason to sell especially, so its basically recovered all of that.   Its staying above a 12hr average for most of the day barring some pullbacks which are few at the moment, this sell was really brief and its back above that.

Just as the discussion if it's possible, well then, it happened. For short term traders, they're taking profits but I don't want to put pressure to myself. HODL is much easier this time as we keep reaching new ATH day after day.

Yes, mate, that the odds are already visible that bitcoin has the capability to do this and we are likely to see that $ 40K is coming.
The price for wholesalers is certainly not a problem and they will be able to continue to buy it if they believe the price of bitcoin will continue to move up. because trust in bitcoin will not be able to prevent those who have the funds to keep buying it.

At this month, we will see many surprises from bitcoin, from the increases and decrease, many new ATH will break this month, and bitcoin will going stronger than before.
I see the price will break $41k, and I feel that it will still going up, so that can give us more chances to make a big profit.
But we need to be careful because bitcoin price can make another correction anytime, so if you plan to sell bitcoin at the next ATH, you should have a target sell price.

Anyone think we're finally gonna get a decent bit of correction at $50k?? There's gotta be a correction at some point. $50k seems like the most likely first point for a correction. But with demand going up across the board and Grayscale re-entering the market in a couple weeks, it's hard to see how there would be any serious correction soon. I'll take a bit of trading stash out in the run-up to $50k, but this might just keep going to like $70k or $80k before a solid first correction in this bull run.

Short term traders try hard to take a position but not all of them are trade profitable. Even many traders have lost all their funds and given up trading. And those who have long-term plans for Bitcoin, they have not lost their money at all and are now enjoying the current bull market. Now that $40k is within reach and bitcoin will score a new ATH again, we see since mid-2020 bitcoin continues to rise until it breaks through $40K now.

I agree that not all of them are profitable and there's likely that more they are losing than making if they keep chasing the market. The best strategy is just to watch the market and if you intend to buy at lows, set a price that you'll buy it then. But if you intend to sell, sell it with the price that you really want to sell. And as I've said, holding is easier, no need to think a lot unless there's an instance you have to start selling some.

We already see the highest price of bitcoin was at $41k level, and although the price is back to $39k, we will see the price can back to $41k, and I think $41k will be the lower price before the price increase more. The next target for the bitcoin price will be at $43k-$45k, and if that can happen, the price will have more opportunity to rise to $50k. But behind of that, we need to remember that after the price hit the highest price, it will go down for a while, and sometimes, we need to wait for more than a week before the price can increase.

Actually I also agreed that the market will continue with the bullish trend this year however occasionally there must a pullback or price corrections because the price is not a one way traffic, although it will be very difficult to predict how dip the price is going to last, but the possibility of total collapse of the price is not feasible or should be rule out with the present market outlook, we should bear in mind that the overall market conditions this year is going to be bullish because of all the positive fundamentals is supporting or acting as a catalyst/

Regulatory intervention seems to be not around, SEC and other nations similar branches do not really care about the "price" of bitcoin, they care about how it is used and who uses it, that's it. That is why if you want to cash out your bitcoins into fiat and get it into your bank, almost all exchanges asks for KYC, since they want to know who you are and how much you have and give that information to government, aside from that there is nothing they want from you.

That means there is only one reason why the increase on bitcoin price could stop ; the demand getting lower. We have to realize the fact that people love to buy bitcoin right now because they want to get rich, but at some point everyone will start to think that the price is too much and they do not want to buy anymore and will find it risky, at that moment people will start to sell more and price will finally go down.

If you look at the situation in 2018 when bitcoin made a correction at the beginning of the year but it continued to fall, but this also happened but the correction was responded to with a decent upward correction. so that it doesn't really impact bitcoin.


I hope that the worries you say don't happen because the time for altcoins to increase hasn't happened and this is the time that will coincide with bitcoin. because frankly, the increase in altcoins and reaching ATH is certainly highly expected because it will increase the bounty to be more enthusiastic, because the increase in bitcoin last year had no impact on altcoins and bounties.
