Title: Possible scam leaserig --- jason200005
Post by: nicklello on March 25, 2014, 11:35:08 PM
I leased a rig from this person via leasedrig.net after having successfully rented other, faster, rigs previous times through the same site.

This time I went for his 15Ghs rig.... immediately after the lease starting his rig went offline, I've posted to his reputation thread and have had no response.

*NEWBIE MISTAKE* I didn't check his reputation before leasing his rig; looking at the thread I see djeZo made a note that he was holding jason200005's security deposit until 19.3.2014 (3 days before I made the lease).

This *could* be a case of an un-attentive new rig operator, however I have been advised my experience fits pretty well with some of the scams currently going on.

Turns out that this was merely a slow response.

I don't know if 20$ worth a bitching about it, but I wrote a blogpost titled LEASERIG.NET IS A SCAM (PROOFS INSIDE) (http://space1000.ru/?p=2107) because I don't like when someone is bullshitting me. Also, hello, Bareket. I don't want even bother to contact with you because things you do is not about how you treat someone who rented your rig. I rented it -> it's mine. And even if I decide to not use it at all, then it should be SHUTTED DOWN instead of switching to stratum+tcp://pool.ipominer.com:3429 katcity.x (because I bought it). Have a nice day, guys.

You guys want to chill out?

#1 LeaseRig is not a scam
#2 I as well as many others lease out our rigs without any issues.

Ultimately Leaserig.net does not directly provide any hashpower. All services are provided by third parties.

Indeed. Issues happen, if you are having an issue then it is a third party who is at fault rather than LeaseRig. That's like saying you got scammed on bitcointalk so OMG POSSIBLE SCAM BITCOINTALK - BITCOINTALK IS A SCAM (PROOFS INSIDE).

Sure. Issues happen and support is there to solve em. Not to answer "fuck you, go contact scammer that scammed you - maybe he will have mercy to return you some % of money he scammed out of you".

No. That's like if someone would constantly posting SCAT pictures to my PM and I wrote to support "please ban this asshole, he is breaking the forum rules by pm'ing me with a SCAT jpegs" and got back "we don't know what ya talkin 'bout, ask him to stop".
