Title: I was not wrong to bought bitcoin.
Post by: CaCO3 on January 07, 2021, 07:18:51 AM
I bought Bitcoin a few days ago for12 thousand dollars.  At that time the price of one bitcoin was 28 thousand dollars.  At present, the price of Bitcoin is 37 thousand dollars.  Which is really good news for me.  I made a post after buying bitcoin to see if I made a mistake in buying bitcoin.  I was convinced that I had done nothing wrong and that it was now clear.

OP, just know that at every buying point there's also a selling point. Though you bought slightly at a late time you're enjoying the dividends in price rise now. You took that risk and it paid off. You've to realize that there are people who will still buy at the peak of this bull run and suffer the dump. However, I don't see any Bitcoin dump happening any time soon within this first quarters of 2021 (even into the 2nd quarters). We may see corrections here and there from time to time but definitely price will continue to rally up after each correction. The trend is upward at the moment. 2017 should be a reliable place to look as history is always fond of repeating itself.

That's a great news. I would say kudos to you OP for being brave enough to buy at that point. Congratulations for that decision and the profit that you have made because of it. If my math is right you have already made more than $3,000 in profit in just a few days. Hoping for a bigger one in the coming days.

Let this be an encouragement to the rest who withhold buying Bitcoin because they think the price is already too high for them. They waited and waited and waited until they will be forced to buy Bitcoin at a much higher price because the dip they have been waiting for did not come.

Don't let that get to your head OP, remember that market is volatile and the price right now might be the peak of the run and we will again enter the dark ages of the market. Be careful, do not be greedy and assess the risk that is looming. Good job making that profit and again be careful, we can't know if this run will still be as strong as it started.

Never just look at the current situation but think long term.
Yes, you currently have earnings but the situation can change quickly and in a month you may be at a loss.
Such situations happen all the time and we have to be prepared for it.
It's true that it seems to me that the current growth of bitcoin is more stable than in 2017 due to a larger number of institutional investors, but that does not mean that a bigger price drop is not possible.
I advise you not to think from today to tomorrow but to have a long-term, multi-year investment plan and a point of exit from the market.

Then what next?
Are you still wanted to hold it or just let it go while the price is so sweet and profiting?

That really sounds like rejoicing, you are one of those people who are strongly believing that Bitcoin will even grow more. You'll the taking the risk decision but you are too lucky to say that you never miss such an opportunity. I have no such strong faith, as I was always remembering the past experience but what I saw you, it gives me some positivity.

Only I can say is that you should be watchful on the market trend as anytime it falls.

Now that you've already profited, you could take it out, and in the future you could take a more cautious route to prevent losing money if you so wish. For example, if you had earned 100 dollars, you could only reinvest 50 dollars, and wait until it comes up. If it never rises, you would have lost 50 dollars, but still profited 50 from the initial return. This isn't the most efficient trading method, but its a way of assuring you've always got a profit. You simply keep reducing the amounts until you are comfortable, and set a hard limit. Of course, that's assuming you want to play safe.

Your mind is clear, if you catch it at the 12k level, which means: you already feel the real benefits of buying/investing Bitcoin, that's Bitcoin where many people talk about dubious things at the cheap price at that time, now you have proven the advantages of Bitcoin.

show the results to your friends and relatives of the results you do, I mean your friends and relatives who don't believe in Bitcoin / who underestimate it if anything, kidding.....🤑

I congratulate you on the benefits you get, I hope that money can be used in a good place.

You have done a good decision for buying bitcoin with that amount of money even though you are a little bit late because $27000 is already a huge value, imagine if you have bought bitcoin when its price is not that high then you may gain more profit as of this days. Just set your standard on what value of bitcoin is already good for you to pull out your money, just be careful because bitcoin could still go down anytime.

I congratulate you OP, despite being new in the bitcoin system still manage to do the right decision and that is all about buying bitcoin. This is very lucky of you to get into bitcoin investment. I myself is a failure for I bought bitcoin high and sell it low. It was really a poor decision making in my part ans I regret it that in this bull trend I was not able to get into it and instead watching only bitcoin market grows.

I agree.

I've been monitoring the price chart of Bitcoin since it passed at $20,000 (it's old All Time High) and the trend looks really a solid uptrend. Some people says it would stop at $40,000 and will going to have a deep correction but the possibility of that happening is lower than 40% based on my technical analysis. Anyways, price prediction is really hard that's why all we have to do is to wait and see if our predictions are right or wrong.

P.S: Don't forget to press Take Profit

as long as you know what you are doing then you've done nothing wrong but I would still suggest being cautious regarding the price. bitcoin's price is very volatile and can change dramatically in just a couple of hours or days. a lot of people have suffered consequence(profit loss) when being too confident about the current bullish trend. but I'm glad that you are doing great and getting profit.

Wonderful mate you proved risk is equal to reward and I appreciate your brave move to buy at this price you are lucky enough as you bought in bull trend but this is not the right decision in my opinion because buy low & sell high is the strategy of market.

Some times brave decisions will make you more stronger and you deserve this profit and more to go wait until the market turns red, there are more possibilities of reaching 40k now so plan accordingly.

Very brave and wise, commended. Some of the people thought it's too late to invest since it's too late and might dump soon but look what happened right now, tripled the profit. Bitcoin halving is the sign for the bull run this year, and many of us knew that this year is the time to bought bitcoin. Congratulations to all who risk even they're late, you deserve the outcome.

Just be don't be greedy, if you already get profit, then it should be enough.

I don't think he invested at 12k level but $12k worth at 28k level, if I understood correctly. But in any case, he is currently making a great return on his investment. Over $4k profit in just ten days is impressive.

Congratulations to you OP! Enjoy the price while it lasts and always remember that the price won't be behaving like that every time you invest. It will not always make a positive move every time you invest. You had a great timing putting your money into bitcoin, don't waste that and keep on learning from reading posts here and also as you  go.

If people paid me commission for Bitcoin consultation, then I would have been a millionaire already... because a shiteload of my friends made a lot of money from my advice. When we were at $12 000 a while ago, I convinced some of my friends to jump in and to buy some coins...they did and they are VERY happy now..

Will I tell them to jump in now?.... Nope, that would be one hell of a risk to get in at a possible ATH that might stand for years. (Like it did with the people who bought in at 2017)

I might be wrong and this might go to $50k or even $100k... but will I risk my reputation on that... nope.  :P

Congratulations to you and it only proves that brave people could gain a good profit when it comes to Bitcoin investment. It was really risky but as long as you trust the capability of Bitcoin, you'll surely earn something. Let's all hope that Bitcoin could reach more than $40k these coming days. BTC movement is unpredictable and it's making things more exciting.

Trading is always sweet and enjoyable when you are on the side of profit, If reverse was the case you might blame yourself and everyone who advised you at that point in time. But it is all good, next time  re-evaluate the time to buy so you don't put yourself under unnecessary pressure. Huge dumps is not expected currently, but trading always with caution is the best form of trading and marketing. Congratulations on your earned bucks.

If people paid me commission for Bitcoin consultation, then I would have been a millionaire already...

No amount of money can actually substitute the joy when your close homies are feeling happy and you know withing yourself you are the source of the happiness. Continue giving them the good signals when you spot them.

Since you've gained enough profit for a good exit, I think it is preferable to go focus on analyzing the current market and think of when would you like to exit. As of now, the trendline of Bitcoin is unstoppable and you might gather some analysis as well form various traders out there. In fact, it's up to your risk management on how much you can handle frustration after you either sell early or sell late. It's a good choice that you've manage to buy at that price and earned huge just by holding it, but it is also your choice when to stop. Yes you are right at the first place, but you might not soon, hence everything is up to your risk appetite.

That' s yet. Without risks how can you expect to make a profit. There is no such thing when it comes to crypto-usually. At least now when everything seems to be taking on a positive turn. This is why it is important to also remember to take your profit. Things go well now, but they won't do so forever

Whenever you buy bitcoin, you are never guilty of doing it because you have purchased one of the most decentralized investment asset in the world. But I think your point is the success you get on the investment you made at a time when bitcoin price seemed high. You dare to take the risk of buying bitcoin when there are many doubts that the price has the potential to dump, but in fact your hope is reached that the price continues to increase and you are making a profit today.

I guess your current expression is completely normal when the results are as expected. But would you feel guilty if only after buying bitcoin were they dump and hard to recover ?

First of all I am glad that you did not make a wrong decision but however please understand that there is something called market situation and volatility, you need to act according to the market situation while trading your Bitcoin, just keep yourself updated with market trend as there would be a time when the market would dump after reaching the peak and if you Hodl on that time then you would be making wrong decision, at the same time when market dumps and hits bottom you will see lot of trading buying back to sell at high. You should follow this cycle and also sometimes there is a correction period which you need to consider and should not panic sell.

You did well and you should congratulate yourself however unlike those that bought during past years and during most of the previous year you did it at a point in which the price had already reached an ATH and that is always a risky move no matter how you look at it, so despite your potential profits you still need to be careful as if you make a single bad move you can still lose money, and as we know that is not something that we want especially with this crazy bull run that is still ongoing.

In business (or trading, specifically) there is something called high risk and minimal risk. Expert traders tend to look at the reward to risk ratio before triggering trades and they tend to make their entry from the minimal risk level. For instance, those who bought Bitcoin at below $4k in 2020 took a certain risk and that's the minimal risk because the lowest Bitcoin could go flat would be $0 if things went terribly bad and that would be them losing less than $4k. But those who bought high like the OP did at over $12k took high risk because they could lose that $12k if Bitcoin goes flat. That's my drift, I guess you understand it now.

Hello, it is always very risky to buy bitcoin, but it is good that you have made a profit, what is happening is what they call FOMO, when people believe that it will go up more and more in price.
But do not fall into the trap and I think it is better that you get out as soon as possible, take as an example what happened in December 2017, greetings.

What do you plan to do? sell and take the quick profits? or you're liking what we're also feeling right now that it's very common to hold and wait until where this bull run is heading us?

If you keep holding I think you don't want to earn some profit but if you have a specific target to sell then you shouldn't be afraid to gain some profit when there's a chance. You never know what could be the future of Bitcoin, so what if Bitcoin suddenly crash? You might miss your chance of gaining profit. And also, Bitcoin price is nearly breaking the $40k resistance yet it stopped at $39k then a stable $37k to $39k for couple of hours I guess or days before breaking another ATH.

Good thing for you and you do made the right choice on buying bitcoin specially if you do really just aim for future aspect then these movements wouldnt really matter in short term ones.

Also you should think that you are somewhat lucky that the market had able to rise up on the time you had bought it because you wont really be saying that you were right if
the price had moved into the opposite direction.

For those who had risk out earlier then they are the ones who do really make out some money.

Not really, the risk changes depending on the price at which you buy in, buying right now is a risky proposition since the price is so high that there is still potential for the price to go down some more, and this is especially more true now as we have experienced several negative days in a row, and if retail investors get scared then the price could go down even more, however if you buy bitcoin after a substantial crash then the risk that you are incurring is in fact very low.

This statement is kinda misleading. I had to dig down to realize that you bought Bitcoin worth $12,000. Most people could think you meant that you bought 1BTC for $12k. That aside, I think you made a smart move. Decision are neither wrong nor right; their outcome will speak. Also, If you're hodling for short term, you should already know what to do! Though I advice that you hodl for long term as Bitcoin stands a chance of skyrocketing more.

We cant deny that the profits that we can potentially earn when we do buy and sell in short time is much more worth than on just holding for long term even though
the risk is much more higher but there are people who do try to deal with it.

When it comes to decision on when did you buy and when you had sold then as long you do make profits then that what matter most.It isnt wrong and also
even the price had gone negative and you havent sold even single satoshi then it isnt still considered as a mistake.

We do aim for gains and decisions will vary from time to time.

Indeed, you didn't do something wrong especially when you bought bitcoin. Moreover you have benefited now from you decision before. But, I have told in my previous comment that currently is a good way for short term investment. Unless, you have made a decision for long term investment like three or five years ahead, you just put them in your wallet and let them come back again when three years have been passed.

But, if you choose short term investment seem like you must put a sell target when you have bought bitcoin. The current bitcoin price movement is so impressive, up drastically at least there was no correction especially in one day time frame. So, I can be comfirmed when the correction comes the price will fall sharply. Like now, just need a few days its price fall for more than $10.000.

It is not a mistake if you have purchased bitcoin at the price of $28k. Bitcoin will continue to make new prices, although for now $28k looks expensive.
But in the future the $28k price will look very cheap.  Although bitcoin  is currently  undergoing a correction,  you don’t  have to sell it.  Or if you want
to sell it now because of panic, it’s legal, you  can  buy it  again  when the  price is low, but I’m  not sure if bitcoin  will lower  its  price  too  deep. But
I’m sure bitcoin will soon raise its price slowly.

So happy you bought at the right time and now it is very increasing.
Did you sell your BTC to take profits?
Selling at a certain rate to get profits is important. However, you may also think about long-term investment. If you think that trading Bitcoin or short term investment right now is better to get more profits, sell high and then buy again and the market is a correction, just do it by your own desire.

However, if you really want to hold BTC, it is not wrong, it is also good for the long term. But of course, pay attention to the risks that the risks also will be required.
Short term and long term are all good to depend on how we set the portfolio of Bitcoin itself.

You bought Bitcoin when it was still at the price of $ 28,000 and I'm sure you were satisfied when you saw the price of Bitcoin go up to the price of
$ 41,000. If you take profit when the Bitcoin price is $ 41,000, it means you are a lucky person, because you can get large profits in a relatively short
time. But if you still HODL the Bitcoin you have, don't panic seeing the current corrected Bitcoin price. Since the price of Bitcoin will definitely go up
again, we as Bitcoin holders just need to be patient.

To make a profit in BTC you must be prepared to to HODL even at times of uncertainty and market dumps.

You took the risk, and you've now been rewarded- congrats. Now it is a matter of staying strong and HODL through this correction...

Could it go under 30K?

Yep, it was the right decision to buy Bitcoin at a cheap rate. However, have you taken profits right now? I suggest you not plan it for the long term once you buy the Bitcoin in the uptrend phase. You are better to buy Bitcoin for a short term target. When you see the price meets your target, just sell your Bitcoin and wait for the correction to buy again.

It's a good thing that you managed to buy at somehow a good price before BTC went up to almost 40k. You could've earned more of what you have invested earlier before BTC even hit 20k just a few months back. The movement of the market is different from the previous bull-market due to large institutions getting involved in the market. Some say that we are still far from the last bull-market and it could still go upwards, but the current state of the market is scary because it is uncertain on what price will BTC settle after a few corrections.

You should also have it in your mind that, the market value of Bitcoin can drop at any moment in time considering the history of the market value of Bitcoin the past years now.  In as much that you bought it around $12k,  you should also know that on 2017 December, people bought Bitcoin around $20k and sold it below $10k. It is very advisable to understand the Bitcoin market before concluding on whether you have made a right or wrong decision in buying or selling your Bitcoin.

Buying bitcoin is sometimes all about the right timing because the time you have bought bitcoin, which its price is still for 12 thousand dollars, is still high in the middle of October 2020. Also, bitcoin is starting to have a good momentum to its price at that time; that is why you are lucky enough to get a good profit this year of 2021.

So the price was $28,000 per coin when you made the purchase, which means that you received 0.42 BTC in your wallet. You don't seems to have a plan on what to do with these coins yet. First you need to decide whether you want to go for short-term, or long-term investment. In case you don't want to hold your coins for too long, then you can set your stop-loss target as well as the target for profit booking.

It is very rare for someone to risk buying at that price and I must say that you are really courageous.

I don't think that high risk and high reward is applicable in the situation as bitcoin is playing at a price of $35k. Unless, its price reach $50k in the market then that's really profitable for you.

But it is still hard to say when will bitcoin have a constant downward price but still thank you for sharing your support and faith on bitcoin.

To be honest there is no perfect time to buy.
Whenever you have the capability of bearing losses then just go for buying the coin.
You might not get profit in the first few months but surely you gonna get profit after some time.
I am saying this from my own past experience.
People need to be just smart enough to guess when to invest when to not.
And btw congrats OP for your profits .

one luck you buy bitcoin when the price starts to rise and get a profit, from the existing situation if in trading you get a profit you will get praise, and vice versa if you lose you will get insult .
invest according to your heart, just take advice from people without having to do everything so that if you are disappointed you don't blame others

There is no mistake in buying Bitcoin at high price mate most especially if you are a long term hodler because we all know that prices keeps on climbing due to more and more investors are interested in acquiring Bitcoins for future purposes so better late than never. The only mistake people did is that they don't care about Bitcoin until such time of regret lucky for you you're not them. All in all you did a great job and congratulations!

Hope you already sold it at that point because BTC is currently at $34480 (at the time of writing this), though still in profit. Congratulations for your earnings ;)

Every investment made during this time is not really wrong. Its either you are ready to accept the risk or just cower and just watch others gain money from something you can gain money too. I also plan to invest on Bitcoin in the future because all I can do right now is just join campaigns that would give me bitcoins since I still do not have my own capital.

This could also be a lesson for your friends to invest too because they might experience another skyrocketing moment for Bitcoin.

You're so lucky that after you bought your bitcoin, the value of it increased more which gave you a good profit. Many people buy bitcoin and other digital currencies at high prices but not everyone is lucky because sometimes after buying at high prices, it suddenly goes down. Investing in crypto is fraught with risk that every investor should take whether you can make a profit or not, the important thing is that you try rather than feel regret later.

You are right, as he seems to be lucky because only a few users can be able to get the profit on time and many invest when the BTC price is high like it was on the $k, and then within hours it drops to $34k.

I think it’s also because he is courageous enough to take the risk of buying even without the assurance that the price will increase further. He took the risk and now he’s earning with that decision he made. And with that, Bitcoin is really not for those who are weak heart, you should be brave to take risk, face failure and to stand up again to try.

I cant say its a wise decision to buy at high price but you're lucky to earn profit because the price increase further after you bought your bitcoin. Its a risky thing to do yet you have guts to engage yourself regardless of the price, I congratulate you for that.

In the past, many investors lose their money for deciding to buy during bullrun of 2017 because of FOMO, we know at that time the increase didnt last long. They sell at loss and quit, its a lesson learned for many of us to analyze the market and timing when to buy.

But as long as you have the guts to buy regardless of the price and willing to hold until you earn then its up to every investor on what is their decision.

The post OP has written is a good example that Bitcoin is a great investment asset. Even if you are scared of risking, Bitcoins price lifecycle shows that its price will either return to its higher point after going down, or will go even higher. Bitcoin investor need to have only two things - ability to hold and resist passion to sell with first signs of price going down, and secured PC or wallet.

I have burned several times selling holding or part of them when the price went down. Now I have confidence that what ever happens, my investment wont disappear or becomes costless.

One of the problems of trading is that you can always find a point in time in which it would have been more profitable for you to buy or to sell, but as long as you got profits you should be happy because very few traders are able to obtain profits out of their trades, and despite the fact that whatever system you are using is not as effective as you may like it, it is still a good system if it is giving you profits, the only thing that you need to do right now is to try to find more markets to trade so you can increase your profits in that way.

It is pretty good that there are still people lately realizing the worth of having or obtaining Bitcoin at a lower price although it somehow late already for it much be better if you have bought at the lower rate when Bitcoin have experienced a big dump last March 2020 because you can surely gain more profit if that is what you have done. But anyway, it is still so good that you at least have gained from the decision you have made and it seems pretty good that you are enjoying the benefit of the rise but do not just settle for that since you have bought Bitcoin passing its ATH, then be prepared once a dump comes and embrace yourself upon doing decision whether to cut your loss or be patient on holding. Nevertheless, still a great decision you have made and pretty much sure you will not regret it.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Buying bitcoin today is a good choice. Now investors are more mature and do not get carried away by euphoria. There are good reasons to be optimistic, there have been good announcements indicating that bitcoin will be one of the assets that will offer great returns to holding investors.

Anyone investing in crypto has thought about filling their bag with bitcoin whenever possible because its price is on a bull run.

Let's always stay optimistic. As well, as one of the strongest bitcoin investors.

Big profits come with big risks. OP managed to get the right timing to buy. Imagine, someone bought at the highest price, then the price slowly fell, then had to determine the right strategy, cut losses or wait indefinitely for the price to recover. that's the importance of basic understanding in cryptocurrency and investment, must use free funds.

don't feel left out if you miss buying cryptocurrency whose price is suddenly good. do not be greedy or panic when you see other people gain a lot.
it's simple, ready to make big profits must also be ready to lose big. only invest what you can afford to lose. use free funds that will not make you fall into poverty if you lose.

That's good for you. It is indeed a big gain. You are really brave to buy at that price while others are grabbing that time to sell btc at high price, but you are buying. I sold my btc at $35000 and will hold until the price drop so I can buy more. Just sharing my plan.
I must say it is a good investment for the beginning of 2021.

I'm glad to see someone get profit with BTC investments by only staying strong and having his faith hard. It was a big risk but now we see that it was worth it 8)
Besides, I believe that $40 000 is just only the beginning of BTC surprises this year. I can't help waiting to see Bitcoin reaching $115 000 in August. So I think now it's not the worst time to investing in Bitcoin.

You are lucky and you managed to buy a medium low price, and now its value has increased even more so you can earn now and will continue to earn.

Congratulations your decision by trusting Bitcoin has now paid off, I am sure you are very happy now. With an investment of $ 12,000 when
the price of Bitcoin was $ 28,000 and now the Bitcoin price is at $ 36,000, it is quite a profit you get. Because investing in other assets is unlikely
to give you the same profit that Bitcoin has given, my advice is to just HODL your Bitcoin. Because in the near future the Bitcoin price will create
another ATH, and the amount of profit you make will definitely be even greater.

I suggest that you do not think from today to tomorrow, but make a long-term, multi-year investment plan, and have a starting point for exiting the market. Just don't be greedy, if you have already made a profit, that is enough.

Good for you that you've still take the profit by risking on that price. Many people will not take that risk because they know that the price is very high and they might just lose if they buy on that current price but you're decision on brought you a good and profitable decision. Right now you must sell it in order to gain profit because I believe that it is the peak of the bitcoin and what is happening right now was part of the correction, don't be greedy on the price because those who are greedy ends up nothing.

No one like me a simple trader even guess that butcoin Price will rouch 40k.
At this time price dump to 33k but its a correction and soon price will be pump.

Do you know that it took 4 years for Bitcoin to hit the old ATH of $20k while some impatient investors sold it at lost, now it's $33k and it keeps falling while some bought it at $40k, how many years do you think it will get back to new ATH, won't you assume it to be after 5-6 years time?
The market is just complicated and no one could predict the future, so what's appropriate is to buy Bitcoin at any price and be a patient investor, that's all the secret.

Just don't be greedy, if you have already made a profit, that is enough.
We don't know exactly if op is performing short term or long term investments, if short term, it appropriate to sell out and take some profit,as same as a day trader, while on the other hand for long term, it's enough to hodl Bitcoin till the gain would be bulky and enough.

Good for you that you got some profit for a short amount of time. There are some investors who are now at a paper loss because they bought it at the top. Good news for you :)

Possible that you really did a good decision that you bought Bitcoin at that price. Now the question is do you have plans of selling it? At what price you are planning to sell. There is nothing wrong if you buy Bitcoin especially if you bought it at a lower price that what the price is today but there is wrong if you don't have a selling plan. Long term?? Maybe but still put a target price or target time frame of holding it and one thing more is that just be ready because you know how volatile the market is.

Congrats to those investors who bought Bitcoin at a low price :).

That's the thing, even if you bought almost the top of Bitcoin or any other potentially quality alt coins you could still make a good profit from it if you're willing to wait and not sell in panic.

That being said the above statement should not encourage you to buy in high prices but it's mostly true for those who somehow ended up with buying at not a very good average price, Bitcoin or any other asset with a good potential for future rise in price is worth holding for a long time even in loss, and that's of course if you're not too much invested in it and you only invested what you can afford to lose.

Whether you consider investing into BTC a wrong move really depends on the timing of both your buying and your selling.
BTC may look volatile now but lets not forget where it was a few months back. Today BTC is making progress and you might be worried that you bought at the wrong time, tbh, only you can decide if it was a good time or not as only you can decide when to sell and what profit/loss you'll be taking.

As a word of advice, BTC could be 10X greater than what it currently is now so if you're willing to hold you should at least be comforted that in the future you won't be as worse off as you would if you never have a chance to sell now. Anyways, just another thought...

Good for you, it's obviously a risk but it paid off for trusting bitcoin at that time. This is possible as long as you calculate, speculate, and analyze the current flow of the market, it's not pure luck because it's expected to surpass the recent ATH. These kinds of late investments have huge risks that only a few people do this because they don't want to lose money. They're afraid that's too late because the bull run started very early in q4. Well, if you think it's very worth it, what more to those people who invested in early 2020, x6 their money.

You just went in at the right timing. Still, you should remember that buying bitcoin is not good all the time. There will be instances where you might end up losing money instead of gaining whenever a sudden dump occurs. It would be best if you would first analyze the market and the changes of bitcoin's price before buying. By doing so, you may be assured that you will definitely gain lots of money from it. Know when and how long you should hold your bitcoin so that you can avoid losing great opportunities when the time comes.

It depends entirely on the profitability which depends on the nature of the market analysis and market momentum. You bought Bitcoin for $12k and you benefited from the upward market as a result of which you can say that you were not wrong. No matter who invest in bitcoin and from what stage it is, if it can make a profit by waiting for the price to rise, it can be said that it was not wrong. But judging by the power and efficiency of market analysis, you made the right decision by buying Bitcoin at $12k and it was really profitable for you.

You can never go wrong if you learn how to wait but the idea of the op is bad for me because if most of the replies he get is against to him he will loose his motivation to wait but it maybe be good for him because he was doubting right at the beginning and he ask for signs if he will continue holding or not and luckily he received positive replies which boost his confidence to continue but he was also showing that he is afraid to make mistakes .
No no that's wrong we all are not perfect and it isn't wrong to make a mistake .
he will be happy if he will profit with his investment all the time but when the time comes that he loose ? How can he handle that

You were not wrong as you got huge profit if you are still holding it and at the same time you need to keep yourself updated with market trend as it's still volatile and if you have a look at bitcoin chart for last one week there has been fluctuations but Bitcoin has dropped almost 25% from its ATH. Just don't do the mistake which many of us did in 2018 wherein we were waiting for bitcoin to reach $25k for cashout which didn't happen and we were into deep bearish market for next 3 years.

It's not a mistake to buy established assets like bitcoin, you literally have no room for mistake with bitcoin. It's just a matter of timinf but even then you're sure to be rewarded as bitcoin is a HODLer's treasure. So once the price goes down, be sure to buy more, so you don't miss out on the next bull run which will prolly happen in the next four years or so, if not earlier than that.

Basically time your buys and sells, that's all there is to it. Bitcoin may be as volatile as you can get from other cryptocurrency but you have this sense of security with bitcoin.

Opening post investment experience in Bitcoin has really educated some newbies who are still hesitant to buy Bitcoin. Moreover, now the Bitcoin
price is being corrected to a price of $ 31,000. The current decline in Bitcoin price is still in a healthy category. So there is no need to panic for
holders who buy Bitcoin at $ 35,000. Because Bitcoin will recover quickly, its price will definitely go up even higher. The key to success in Bitcoin
investment is patience, so HODL the Bitcoin that we have. Until the sell target is reached

Although according to some people buying bitcoin at a price of $ 12k is high, but it is better sense to buy it at a price below $ 10k it will be very profitable. but at $ 12k it is already entering the best phase of getting a profit. So then you have to wait until the price drops to buy and sell when the price is high, that's a smart move and very good for profit

You're amazing and courageous. Very few have the courage to take risk at the peak to profit. The whales have got the ability to manipulate the market, upon the same those people easily get into such risks to profit high. With low volume of funds taking such a risk is really an appreciable move. Congrats on the success of making a good profit out of the risk and achieving a big dream of your life.

It was probably not the best thing to do to buy bitcoin when the marke price was around 28k$ since it was just to high, the best method was just buying low and selling on high to make a higher profit and avoid lose. It was not surprise if people telling you that you made a mistake.

It was really just risk buying at that time since market price could drop at any moment, but in the case of bitcoin the most popular crypto we know that we could always go for a long term investment because we all because that it could reach the moon soon. I guess you gamble it and you just win. If you look for now it drop to 30k$ so if you dont sell in 40k$ its a significant drop if your not aiming for long term.

Don't let that get to your head OP, remember that market is volatile and the price right now might be the peak of the run and we will again enter the dark ages of the market. Be careful, do not be greedy, and assess the risk that is looming. Good job making that profit and again be careful, we can't know if this run will still be as strong as it started.
That's true, some people seems like they forget that bitcoin is volatility or some thinks that bitcoin will continue forgoing strong so they are confident about buying bitcoin even the price is still high, well there is no problem with that especially if you ate going to invest in a long term but if you are not a long term holders then do no be so confident buying bitcoin as its current value because bitcoin may still go down anytime.

You already gain more now if you still holding your bitcoins until now where bitcoin price reached more than $50K. Good that you didn't hesitate to buy even at a higher value of bitcoin. Now you are lucky enough if you didn't sell your bitcoin at $37K.

Indeed, OP will be more on profits if he/she want to hodl it for more longer period of time as bitcoin's the uptrend movement from its beginning point. Also, it'll be best to profit out some of those bitcoins so that he/she can buy more bitcoin at lower price when bear market will be happening. TBH, bitcoin won't dump at $12k price zone in the upcoming bear market and moreover it might dump at $20k-$25k as a maximum level. As always Hodl is godl.

When you buy BTC, lots of people are buying and lots of people are selling. Just remember you are buying in dip. i
If you buy i dip you can make profit fast. If you want to invest for long term, BTC is the best choice i think.

you are not wrong, you are a smart person to buy bitcoin at a cheap price and now the price of bitcoin is very expensive. You are very fortunate that many people sell bitcoin at a low price and they are very sorry to see the current price of bitcoin.

Never doubt bitcoin's potential, particularly now that so many well-known people are endorsing it. Never question a potential coin for how many years because you've invested in the right coin, the OG of all cryptocurrency. You'll profit greatly if you bought an asset during a dip because you've put your money in the right position.

Many who have lost a lot of money in trading have done so because of entry errors.

You're in luck because you're ahead of the game before the institutions get involved.

If you were able to buy BTC at 12k when the market price was 28k it was already a lucky buy.

However BTC has never deluded me so far. I remember people laughing about those who bought BTC at 15$ ATH soon after it crashed to 4-5$, but it was enough to wait some year to see how lucky those guys were buying at that price.

OP had posted this 4 months ago and the price of Bitcoin during that time is below $20k. Imagine, if he still holding it until now, he is really in a huge profit but I wasn't sure if he did this or he might be one of those who sell their Bitcoin when having declined. But anyway, he still got a profit and he is not wrong.
I was thinking that what if we bought Bitcoin last 2018 and hold it until now, were now a millionaire this time but somehow, we don't have such kind of mindset and can't deny that is really hard to hold.

Title: Re: I was not wrong to bought bitcoin.

Nope. You see, you weren't wrong? I hope you are still holding or at least sold it at the new ATH. It was right of you to buy bitcoins and keep holding.  Looking at the current price, I hope you are now convinced that you haven't made any mistake at all. You have already sold your coins, then buy more. It is never too late. Keep holding and wait for a new ATH or the price to reach your target.
Take advantage of the volatility then? But doesn't matter if the price is volatile. In the long term, you are bound to get profit. If you buy now and the price drops, as long as you don't sell, you haven't made any loss. You still have the same amount of coins that you had before. Don't forget that.

Every time is good to enter the market though some people argue this but it the fact about crypto investment, what's important is exit time and the investment (coin) you chose to invest in because if the coin is a good potential coin there is no need to have a second thought. However, it good to have good knowledge about crypto investment.

I'm glad to hear that, even though I think you're very late in buying bitcoin, but with the profits now, I think you're quite proud of it.
always take advantage of the situation and the momentum that exists because considering the bitcoin correction has been going on for a few weeks now
That is the same thing some people must have thought when they bought Bitcoin at $20k back in 2017 ATH and if they where able to hodl to now, would we still consider then as being late to buying Bitcoin? I guess that is no. Even now at $57k+, people that probably now have the courage to buy in for the long hodl will sing praises like OPs in the future. It IS NEVER TOO LATE

True and false in Bitcoin trading are quite fragile if we use derivative tools such as margin, futures contracts.
Most of the people who bought Bitcoin previously even at $ 20,000 in 2017, if they keep them up to this point they still have a pretty good profit. So it can be said that Bitcoin is suitable for a long-term hold. Making short-term investments with Bitcoin is risky.

buying bitcoin is not a wrong action because if we want to hold it in the long run then we will get a lot of profit. those who can't hold bitcoin and sell it at a fairly cheap price will regret it later, this event has often been felt by careless people.
when we have bitcoin and the price of botcoin has decreased, don't blame bitcoin or blame yourself, at times like that we only need to hold bitcoin until the price goes up again because bitcoin price will not go down continuously, one day bitcoin price will definitely go up again.

There is time to buy bitcoin but if you can analyze the market properly it is easy to analyze when the price of the currency will rise but if the price goes up it is better to sell it if you wait a long time you will be at risk if the price goes down. The good news is that not many people have the courage to buy bitcoin at the right time bitcoin is likely to go even higher in the future.

What does your profit now look like if you bought bitcoin in January? What should be the profit for you to get out of bitcoin? I bought it at the beginning of 2018, I still keep it and do not think to sell it. For me, this is not a source of income, but an experiment - how much interest can be obtained from investments in one particular investment asset. Therefore, I do not follow the course every day and do not worry about price fluctuations.

NO, you will be experiencing bad someday and that might test your faith in crypto and Bitcoin. And that also the time to know if you are really happy having Bitcoin or in regrets.
You seem to be religiously obsessed with the Bitcoin market, there is no testing of the faith here. All you need is to be sensible when trading and you do not make judgement calls when you are confused, if you were smart enough to invest when the price was low then there is nothing to worry as everything else that happens during a rally in profit and all you need is to follow the market and understand how the market is performing and when we will have a major correction and if you happen to understand that there is a big correction awaiting all you need is to book your profit and wait for the market to go down to enter once again.

The was a very bold move you took there. Buying bitcoin these days requires courage which is a scarce commodity. Believe me you, you didn't make the wrong decision when you decided to buy bitcoin at that price. In fact, you made a very rewarding choice. When you made this post, bitcoin was at $37000 but right now it's more than $50000 which  means you've made quite a lot of profits if you didn't sell till now.
You should however know that there ought to be a selling point sooner or later. If you can, however, afford to keep your investment, then keep hodling it. It will pay off.

The boldness of the decision after being confirmed correctly, it will always be great success but through it, we should also feel that those making such decisions are truly commendable, they ignore all the gossip and go for the choice they want even when they are under too much pressure. Congratulate him once again that bitcoin has been studded with rockets and soared too high right now but don't let this boldness continue, it will be greed and the end of greed is not mild at all

This is right and something in which you believe should be done. In case of cryptos not many would understand it and those who believed and started investing in good coins have made real big money. And those who just stayed out thinking it is bubble or will not have any value in future are the ones who would be thinking if they would have taken decision in start to invest would have made money today.  So think and do own research and what seems to be right should be done.

yes, not many people are as brave as Op by buying Bitcoin when the price is high enough.  there is nothing wrong with buying Bitcoin at any price, for sure we have to be ready to take risks that will happen later.  I would appreciate it if Op still holds his Bitcoin to this day, because the decisions he made could have had satisfying results
You know buying bitcoin doesn't only mean that you have to hold it for long term or even short term because as long as you've seen growth in your investment and gives you satisfying profits, you're free to sell it and buy back again. But i think the most challenging part of buying bitcoin even in its peak price is risking to hold it for long term considering that the price would suddenly drop off and leaves you at a loss.

And i am happy that you listen your self and take an entry at the price of $12k. Hello everybody. I agree that any point of purchase has a point of sale, but the dependence here is direct from time. It is useless to argue about profit if you have not waited for your selling point. Even having bought Bitcoin at $ 56,000 now, sooner or later its sale will ripen. I am only sure that no matter what motives prompted you to buy Bitcoin, you should know that you will always be in profit and do not hesitate ...

Yes, holding a good Crypto currency like bitcoin is good. Because bitcoin is the most potential coin. This price gonna increase huge in the last few months. Also this price is volatile. Cryptocurrency price can increase and can decrease anytime. So i think when the price reach a good position then sell them and wait some days for price down and after decreasing price again buy that coin. This will be much profitable.

Looks like it's your luck. The moment when you enter cryptocurrency and invest most of your money. is the right choice. and now you already have more than twice what you've invested. I'm sure it was a pleasant experience.

Now the price of bitcoin is above the peak from the previous year, so don't be careless and greedy to get more profit so you fall into a trap like most traders and investors in 2018 ago, be careful and monitor every information about cryptocurrency.

I don't think bitcoin is over until this trend. It would be better not to panic and keep believing in bitcoin. He now owns more than twice the assets, if he sells them all it at least affects a small exchange. I think it's her happy day to make the biggest profit of her life. Bitcoin I think can reach 100k if it can wait patiently and not panic.

Absolutely not. You bought at $28k and if you still hold it now. You are in great profit which so clear more than enough income in a short period of time. Congrats mate, I'm really really hoping to invest in Bitcoin before when it was $12k, unfortunately I couldn't due to not enough money. I'm still hopeful someday will buy Bitcoin and hold until the peak of bull run.

I am also grateful that I found out about crypto/Bitcoin and decided to pursue it even though some of my family member thinks that I am wasting my time on it back then.
I am glad that I continue and that I am still here in crypto right now.

Family in terms of financial endeavors, they will be the worst people to lean on especially if they are a toxic parent. Good for you that you are breaking the cycle in your family that doesn't risk things to become successful.

This is always a right decision to buy bitcoin, good thing that bitcoin has bought a huge amount of money when the price of bitcoin is not that high compared to its current value, if he is still holding it until now then he already has huge interest from his investment, $27000 is not that high if a person will invest for a long term, that is already good value to invest because bitcoin will increase in the future as we can see that bitcoin goes high year by year.

I think you can't be wrong to buy Bitcoin. At least in near future. Especially in the dips.

Yes, you really did not lose with this investment, I think at this rate, when you bought bitcoin, people did not even think of understanding that the price of bitcoin would rise to such highs, it also has room to grow, I think that there will be a hedgehog news from the leading corporations on the bitcoin pump.

But have you ever think that if the OP still holding his Bitcoin until now? I wasn't sure but I think he sold it already when the market reaches its new ATH.
But I was believing that he is very satisfied with what he got from his investment and that could encourage him to do the cycle again someday.

I hope others will also be seeing these instances, it gonna be possible to make millions in investing in crypto but it is not in an easy way. And just like what happens to OP, he never been rushing but instead, he patiently waiting for the moment to come.

I am also think OP already sold her Btc. When the price of Bitcoin was stable at 40,000. Or if he not sold then it’s her better luck
