Exactly, Joe Biden (Joseph Robinette Biden Jr.) is now officially won and the official president of the USA and expected to be sworn in as the 46th president of the United States on Jan. 20 with his inauguration ceremony.

I did not place a bet but for sure those legit bookmakers will pay bettors for the sake of their reputation not to ruin just an amount that they place a bet. The long wait is over and now those who are in favor of Biden will surely now get profit. Sorry for those who are in favor of Trump, they may I guess accept that they lose this presidential election of the US.

Joe Biden officially won and sportsbook officials must pay the bettors in favour of Biden which in fact these should be given away the time where the official election result released but since unfortunately the election result was being questioned by Trump camp. And yes the certification of Joe Biden to be announced as new US president leads the pro Trump citizens to protests in the capitol of the US.

I heard some sportsbook did not pay their clients until this official decision but this really did not make sense to me. Biden won the Election considering the number of vote counting. It's the Trump administration who wanted to make the mess to be in power by any means. This was expected anyway.

Maybe lucky if he had hundreds millions dollars, a losing 5 million dollar bet meant nothing.

Few sites have decided to pay user who bet on biden on last year, and with current bitcoin price, i can say those sites are lucky. Imagine they have pay the winner now, after joe biden officially won, they must pay bigger now. Why they hold the winning bets of their users? while its clearly seen on voting result that Biden wins. Maybe they have bad intention about that but maybe let see if they will pay out their winning bettors now since its a clear decision and trump can't protest that Biden is a true winner of this election. It's not the sites who are lucky, it's the bettors because if they bet BTC, their btc is stuck and they receive it when the price of bitcoin is high. Imagine, you bet when bitcoin was still below $15k and now you are getting a price of $37k, that's a lot of profit, your btc increase and at the same time its value has increase more than 100%.

It was declared already in the cabinet hearing though it was news that the cabinet session headed by the current VP had been delayed and transfered due to the supporters of PTrump rallied and even went inside the Capitol. Well maybe the proper announcement or certification of the new elected US president was the reason why Betfair postponed the pay out of the winner but it does took so long for the winners to wait. Well it is also make sense to both the betting site and the bettors which make sense to wait and worth it. However, if we would compare it to other betting  sites which released the winners pay out a day ago after the election vote counting and preliminary announcing that Biden leads in the voting count higher than Trump.

I believe the last valid day for these bets is January 19th, as Biden will officially take office as president starting January 20th 2021. the early dropout odd is 1.1, so it's not low

that's actually the benefit of waiting for so long on some of these casinos. because some casinos, paid their players much early and more then likely, most players already spent those winnings. whereas, those players who just received their winnings got their money like almost twice its value in the current market. who would have thought that we will hit 40k this early? their waiting paid off though.

Yes they did eventually pay out I think most of the bookies settled the bets mid December since that's when the confirmation came out.

That's right and it's your mind. Everyone won't be the same. As we've got interest over sports betting and other forms of Casinos, there are people who are much interested in getting into politics based betting. If there are sites who have not paid the winning bets, I guess they should be posted here, people has to be aware about their reputation and for them to avoid getting scammed. Big sites normally pay, in fact, they don't lose money here, there are winners and losers and since they facilitate bets, they should make money from it.

Do they already announce it? For what I have known they already announced it a long time ago they supposed to pay the participants Trump couldn't just accept his defeat. I haven't seen some thread about the bookies not paying them for this event.

There is no way it will be the other way around. Biden is now officially declared as the 46th president of the United States of America.

Although it was really pretty obvious that Biden already won but since Trump just can't accept his defeat. The day of the announcement of the winner of the US presidential election was insane on its own, with those radical Trump supporters briefly taking over the Capitol. 2020 was crazy, but now it seems that 2021 might be even crazier.

It is funny to see Trump fans get mad about not getting the election, there are still millions of people who believe that Trump won the election but someone a fraud was made and he didn't actually lost. The reality is that, he lost, and now we have guarantee of that.

It was obvious from day one, all those places that didn't pay out didn't do that for two main reasons. Either they were trump fans as well and believed that he didn't actually lose, which could be the case for some of them, and the other one is that they have seen congress impeach Trump but senate didn't cared and kept him president, even after he was literally charged with a crime, republican senate said "I don't care, I would rather have a criminal in presidency then ... well republican vice president", so they assumed even though Biden won, maybe republican judges and senate and vp would do everything in their power to change it illegally.

You see DONALD TRUMP was one time in 2020 impeached, that is a signal that he won't win the presidential election.

So, the election itself confirms it that Trump can't continue as the president of the United States.

Well, I think it can work in advanced countries or countries that have stable electioneering process, but in developing countries where elections are rigged, it can't work.

Well this drama over who won and who did not win... made me to decide that I would never gamble on elections ever again. It will be interesting to see what the sites will do that paid out early for a Trump win. Will they take the losses and pay out for a Biden win too or will they stick to their initial decision to just pay for a Trump win?

That's always the thing about politics and politicians. ANd some books (like our local) paid everything very fast, after results of state count (if i remember correctly it was something like 7-8 of November). But whatever, I've bet on Trump and it was obvious that courts and nothing else (like what happened yesterday) will not help him  :(

Bookies in the local market paid their slips after the vote count. It was some online bookies who were holding up their clients as far as I know. It was not nice though and if that would happen with me then I would be pissed LOL

It has been a long agony of waiting for Biden betters and they honestly deserve to get paid accordingly. The results have been released and although bad things happened, Trump and his supporters should accept their defeat. Opportunity missed is missed, myself had similar experience during the previous US Presidential election of 2016. By the time everyone were predicting about the winner as Hilary Clinton. If the margin was vary narrow, then there was some justification in delaying the reward distribution. But Biden won the election with such a large margin, with more than 300 electoral votes. Ideally the gambling sites would have processed all the outstanding POTUS bets latest by the second week of November. Another risk is that a correction can occur at anytime in the cryptocurrency market. If the distribution is delayed unnecessarily, then the users may suffer in the end due to volatile exchange rates.

That amount of money needs an involvement of authorities, 1.3 million USD is a lot of money and Betfair not doing their part on paying it is a little scammy in my opinion. Maybe if the winner tries to settle the dispute by issuing a subpoena or some suing things I think that Betfair needs to comply if they want to keep their hands touching cold steel cage bars.

We do not know who place a bet for Biden, so we do not know who the winner is. If other members here place that bet and win, he can come out and tell us how much money he owns and hope that he can withdraw his win money. I think that will be a lot of money that he can win, but that will depend on how much money he bet on that event.

Not only that , the former president was banned from the twitter forever and at the same time for his supporters all hope is lost.
I myself am not living in US but fully aware of the situation and thus so would be your bookie or site where you placed your bets therefore if they haven't started paying you yet then that means you have to inform them of the inconvenience they are causing you , talk to the customer service and if it does not go well , go to the consumer court if it's legal in your country.
But I think they will need some time to process since this was a complicated matter.

We might not know how much exactly they win or lose but we have a betting odds for that, and Biden was the favorites during the election, therefore winners only won lower than their bets which is less than 100%.

I did not participate in the election bet, but here is my opinion on the matter , you can't claim anyone has won when the result is been contested and hasn't been transparently verified, with the both candidates agreeing to the verified results. Breaking of rules, rigging, etc could easily disqualified affected results.

We are in Crypto World.
"Don't Trust but Verify" is compatible with Crypto/Blockchain ideals. So I would keep waiting as long as possible until full, transparent audit is carried out and both candidates are satisfied with the results of the audits.
Results should be treated as untrustworthy until verification is concluded. That's what will make it fair and acceptable to both candidates/stakeholders.

I had never thought of this chart presented that Trump will get high odds compared to PBiden. I was thinking that Trump has the advantage on this election. Well, I guess many people wanted to get a new leader after all to try another form of leadership. Agree. Biden is now indeed the only winner no matter how desperate Trump is. The fact can not be changed and if you do not receive money from any sportsbook, force them to do so or you should open a scam accusation. It is been a long journey for me to support Trump and I have to admit that he has lost the fight. Not many comrades choose to stand long with him. As to sportsbooks that did not pay out the Biden win beforehand, I always thought that it was a bit of a gimmick to keep player funds. Most large sportsbooks were able to pay out early, and those who didn't essentially leveraged their ToS to delay and perhaps even void bets.

If a certain sportsbook still doesn't pay out after the certification, then they should be avoided at all costs in the future. But I think this will be rare as bookkeepers know this as well.

Surely they will pay for the winners and it should be done even without seeing the certificate. That announcement is enough for the bookies to think that they lose and delaying the payment is another issue. I don't think there is staking on their site for the gamblers to decide not to withdraw their winning, that was ridiculous.

If they wanted to have more gamblers and bettors, then they should be truthful in their words and must have legal action. The delayed payment is just bragging people not to trust them back and not to use their betting platform again.

Maybe that percentage can be used for our analysis to determine which candidate that we can choose. I think that is because Trump is more popular than Biden, so many people choose Trump as their candidate. But then the situations change, and the result comes out as Biden as the winner and the new President of the USA.

Some sportsbook are still trying to hold up the payments until now, possibly waiting for the price to go even further but that doesn't even change the fact that most of these bets are made with cryptocurrencies. The Congress already certified Biden's victory over Trump, so idk what 'valid' reasons do sportsbook have left on their end that they can spew out in order to delay the payments on the said event. There's no use delaying payments IMO, as the results will not change no matter how long the bookies wait for the results to be altered.

My question is, once the official results come out is it still possible for the sportsbook not to immediately credit the balance to the winners? I think it's impossible for them to again making excuses by not credited the payments, especially if it's a legit sportsbook. i dont think that Sites refuses to pay back in december but they are just following what the real situation is , Yeah there are points that Biden already wins back in december Mid but still Trump has claims and being a President , there will sure a issue if His protest wins right ? how can gambling site take back those they already paid?

And since the official result were already announced and come out in public there is no reason for the sportsbook to delay the payouts of the winner. There is no reason for such waiting a result, that the tally or election voting counts were contested by the opponents team or whatsoever. According to some article I read, the trust rating of Trump only dropped when the pandemic happened, he was not able to make the right measures to minimize the spread of infection, and people does not like the way he handles it, so he lost in the election. If the KYC is mandatory then how come they still are holding the wins of the users in the first place. I do agree with you, fraud is out of the question for the users but to the site, it will raise some questions. That is not fair, IMO. The election was over by the first week of November and the results were certified by mid-December. On 14th December, the electoral college convened and elected Joe Biden as the next president of the United States. For me, this was the latest they could delay the distribution of the winnings. There is no point in waiting for the inauguration of the presidency to distribute the rewards.

The rules of the game does not say a bettor is paid in the inauguration or after, the rules says bets are graded when the official announcement is release.

For online gambling sites, it is not very difficult to make an exit scam and then open a new website with completely different design and URL after a few months. Many of them are based in various island nations and that makes it very difficult for users from the US or the European Union to pursue legal measures.

Reputations can be build again and a bet like this can't ruin it but if so, they will just recreate another platform that's similar to it and rename it. People did not bet a lot on Biden, in fact Trump was the heavy favorite from what I remember when live betting was going on and even on the last day where only a few electoral votes/seat were left the odds were still up and I was surprised if that was a mistake because Biden win was almost certain and odds on last day though were low around 1.1 but still juicy considering he already almost won it. But Trump was favorite earlier until counting began.

I think people didn't bet that much on Biden because his odds where so strong in his favor. The payout was fairly small compared to Trump. Initially I bet on Trump because there was a decent profit to be made if he actually won. But then the polls kept getting more and more in favor for Biden so I ended up actually closing out my bet. I just didn't see any chance for Trump to win with so many things going bad for him. Especially the corona pandemic and how it was handled cost him the election in my opinion.
