I'm delighted to see that my 1.334 ETH is now rising in price again.  I bought $100 worth when it was down to ~$85 a coin with the intent of using it to fund more coins.   Now I'm reluctant to let go of it.  I recently took $300 and bought XRP while it was at 29 cents.  I have coins in ETH, XRP, XLM, TRX (as well as a trove of various ERC10/20 tokens). I feel like I'm just playing the FOMO game with just altcoins in my Ledger NANO. 

I have never felt more like salao old Santiago adrift in the bitcoin sea,  hoping I can continue to fight off the sharks while holding out hope that a big whale passes me by long enough for me to gaze into its great big eye.

Keep holding and don't let go, Ethereum is going over 1500$ one way or the other, I made a stupid mistake in 2020 over a shitcoin that I thought was different, invested over 12 Ethereum in this shitcoin hoping I would double the Ethereum but I lost 99% of my Ethereum to this shit coin, still painful for me till this day

Good for you, I think that was around 2018, March if I'm not mistaken. I entered around $80 and still holds, and I understand your excited,  :). You should at least continue to buy though throughout 2018-2019. Just hold on it, we might see Ethereum going to $2k in this altcoin bull run, just staying. I can't say the same with XRP because we all know that they are bleeding because of the SEC case against them.

That was a nice move from you, because during that time when ethereum was $83+ there were speculations that the price of cryptocurrencies will fall farther than the then price, though i struggled to bought some few fractions of coins which gave me some good profits, i regretted why i couldn't be able to afford the full coin. Candidly, the altcoins are good to hold especially those at the top list on the coinmarketcap.

Yes, but it takes time for Ethereum to really take off, similar to bitcoin it went into a 2 year bearish market and many have sold that time because of the worsening market conditions. At least in your case, it's the other way around, you bought it when the price is cheap. Probably the only regret is that you should have bought more, but in any case you are now getting the benefit of investing and waiting. Just time the market when you are about to sold to maximise profits.

the massive pump within a week really makes ETH holder got the jackpot I mean 60% increase that's just wow. ETH might keep increasing considering how busy the blockchain traffic is that makes the gas fee astronomically high which means bag holding might still be a good idea not to mention how some fund management company trying to diversify their portfolio by buying some alts and the fact that xrp got massive delist which their share of market cap might goes to ETH.

We are really at a remarkable moment for cryptocurrency that has endured several government criticisms and even the conventional media that claimed many failures in the crypto world. In general we know that blockchain is a great development idea for humanity and that every day the evolution grows gradually. Maybe even though the current market is undergoing a correction, the world is increasingly aware of the power of cryptocurrency in the financial and practical aspects.

High gas fee is a big problem presently for Ethereum if not things might be more smoother right now for eth in terms of price and value I meant, it's a good time to hold Ethereum right now I believe the value will spike over it's old all time high

With the bull run and marvelous bitcoin prices i have to admit indeed that it is tempting to use and have altcoins up in your portfolios but you definitely cannot get carried away too because in crypto currency anything can happen and you must always stick to basics too. Always do your own research.

First of all, congratulations. You are making a big profit from ethereum, and you can sell it now and take your money back plus the profit. I am waiting for XLM and TRX, but even if I am waiting for XRP to rise back, I am not really sure with that. But you already have ethereum which give you the big profit, and I hope you have bitcoin as the biggest profit than ethereum. No, you do not have to fight off with the whales because you are not too strong than them. You can follow the whales to make a profit.

I have leave bitcoin behind for altcoins, even if Bitcoin reach 50,000$ my heart still remains in altcoins because I believe they hold the real keys to insane profits, this time altcoins profit might be better than those earned in 2017, find very good altcoins to hold

I just did the same, sold my BTC and ETH as I made a decent profit from when I bought them half way through last year.

I think as more money flows into crypto investors will look at Alts that have the potential to increase by a far larger percentage than BTC or ETH now.

Just keep holding I think the cryptocurrencies were not yet done pumping also a friendly tip don't ever forget to take profit. Back then I was really greedy and wasn't able to take profit instead I lose some of my investment.

That is some really strong profits. Good job. You seem to have a good hand for buying near the lows of a coin. I agree with you that at the moment we can make better profits in the alt coin market than with bitcoins. Bitcoins are reaching new ATH every week eventually the prices need to stabilise again. The upside potential for alt coins is much higher.

In 2017, I also had about 1.5 eth on my account and successfully increased them to 27 - but then I was lucky with the purchase of ICON (by the way, it is still at the bottom and it seems to me to show itself) and a couple of ICO projects. Now it is more difficult to promote a small deposit because new good projects (so far) do not come out. On the horizon, only DFINITY, which actually did not have sales - an airdrop in 2018.

The main conclusion I made for myself is that it is very difficult to overtake the market, sometimes it is more profitable to keep in ETH or Bitcoin and watch the growth so as not to make unnecessary mistakes.

Well, the shooting is likely to start not popular coins, which everyone is talking about, and you will see well-known projects that few people keep in their portfolio.

The current market price is very crazy and makes investors become more eager to make investments,,,

Fortunately, the cryptocurrency entered 2021 on a positive growth trend. Bitcoin will reach the $45,000 mark. Altcoins also show good results. All except Ripple. Very interesting what surprises are waiting for us in the near future?

I think it Altcoins are the way to go because Ether and Bitcoin will become to expensive and will become more stable in price.
The altcoins that have a lot of potential are ADA and especially EGLD.

I think we will need faster cheaper and better smart contract coins that are ready to take the third place.
I am certain that EGLD is the coin that will go 100X in the next few weeks/months.

Just read the info you find I assure you you will agree with what you find.
Invest in coins with a superb team and roadmap and use cases.

EGLD will be a top 10 coin take a picture and read this in a few weeks and be sad because you did not invest.

Altcoins have always been the way when you want to make more money than just investing in BTC/ETH. But it comes with a much higher risk.

Recent trade may also matter after such profit in ethereum at 817% price pump in a year. Buying XRP may not be good idea for many new members, it is usually a difficult time fighting SEC in court, If they got successful in court they wont struggle get back because of relationship, existing fund and track record but I doubt the success trials

Those coins are the same. When you are investing in bitcoin when it was around 7k last year and you have been making 5x ROI for your investment and the same thing can be applied into the altcoin too when you are investing into the legit coins and that will give you possibility to get huge ROI from your investment.
Altcoin gives an alternative way for people who can't afford to trade or invest a lot in bitcoin. It's just like an alternative solution for low - medium tier of traders.

No. They are not the same. Bitcoin is going up, because of an increase in adoption and mainstream acceptability. But the same can't be said about most of the altcoins, as they haven't experienced the same. They remain in the same position they were a couple of years back. The prices are going up because of some spill over influence from the Bitcoin rally. As such, none of the alts have shown any improvement in the adoption or acceptability aspects.

You're still lucky to buy at that cheap price.
I bought at $260 and I hope I can have more Ethereum at that time to avoid regrets later, which is now.
Never had the chance to stretch the diversify method.

Ethereum is one of the most valuable altcoins and is superior to other altcoins. It is better if you holding your Ethereum hold because many projects use the Ethereum blockchain so that the Ethereum value will continue to increase.

If you don't have a lot of money to invest, and want to get rich, you need to invest in microcaps that haven't mooned yet like 0xMR and UNCX.

Hold your ethereum for more if you want to make more profit. Otherwise, you can sell it now to take your profit. But the altcoin still needs more time to get the altcoin season, but the price already increases for some altcoin. XRP is trying to rise after the bad news a few days ago. XLM and TRX can have the chance to grow, but like the other potential altcoins, XLM and TRX need time to rise again. You need to have more patience this time, and hopefully, the altcoin season can start this month or next month.

With the surges in bitcoin price, one gets scared on when to buy and how many can you buy which turns out attention towards the altcoins market and by far, it's probably the best way to go though I must confess that I for one, is completely obsessed with bitcoin. But then, investing in the altcoins market  is a paying one as well with attentions on bitcoin growth but the investing power of investors more aimed at altcoins. It all goes down to being patience by the way as, not all would appreciate or boom as you expect but in time, they will.
