Post by: littlebi999 on January 12, 2021, 04:50:40 AM
Yesterday(1/11) the Bitcoin price dropped about 20%(from 38266 to 31294.)
But today(1/12) it showed yesterday's closing price is 35476?

Why?

Thanks for your kindly reply~

Do you know that cryto market and forex market are similar but different in a way? While forex operates on 24/5 that is 24 hours per day for 5 days in a week, btc operates 24/7 that is constant 7 days per week .

The point I want deduce from this analysis is that btc never stop changing or fluctuating, while you sleep others are awake doIng one form of transaction or the other. In my opinion, that is what may be the cause of the difference in what you think it was yesterday, and what it is this morning.

Hope this input help.

Yes, I am now watching the bitcoin price steadily rise again. Perhaps this means that the correction of its price was again insignificant due to the fact that the expectation of the continuation of the bull market is still high and the offer to buy bitcoins is still large. Now the bitcoin price is approaching $ 36,000. Most likely, its further price growth will continue.

Many thanks, your reply helped to clarify the "closing price" problem.

Since Bitcoin's transaction "never sleeps", in other words, Bitcoin actually has no closing(or opening) price, am I right?

See mate, that's to let you know that demands of bitcoin is still high and is what warrant its increments more, some people think that cryptocurrency price is been regulated by anyone..the answers is no, what causes falling and raising of cryptocurrency is demand, that's is from my own perspective, like yesterday bitcoin was at rate of 33 thousands to 30 thousands rate but is 34 thousands these morning but currently is 36 thousands so the price is not stable and that's reason while know one can predicts it price

yesterday's closing price is

Various platform consider "yesterday" based on their timezone, GMT, your timezone, .. or whatever they decided to use.
Since Bitcoin transactions don't stop, it's only something that allows them make the charts look like those from the stocks world.

Yes! Unlike stocks, bitcoin can be traded peer-to-peer without the need of any official platform. Hence, it is possible to trade bitcoin anywhere and anytime. There is no opening or closing timings for the market. So, if a site is using the term 'closing price' then it's misleading and incorrect. Most probably, the closing price site is showing is 24-hour old price. For example, if you are viewing it at 7AM today, it maybe showing you the price of 7AM yesterday.

Bitcoin reversal will be 2 times the usual. considering that after losing 20%, it will automatically reduce the increase higher than that. In fact, in the future ATH will again be passed this year.
the market is still bustling, the whales are still ambitious and the bear market is on the break.

There are a lot of reasons. Crypto market stays alive every time and every day of the year. It just doesn't stop and the majority in this market make decisions based on their personal emotions rather than relying on technicalities. Furthermore, major news like this https://mycryptoparadise.com/michael-sonnenshein-becomes-new-grayscale-ceo/ also plays an influencing factor in deciding the price of the crypto.
