this belongs in alt coins.

I asked mods to move it.

not sure zcash is worth mining with gpus.

Hi, here is a motherboard called ASUS B250 that you can buy on amazon with 19x PCIe slot and also can mine whatever coin you want to mine, zcash, Monero, Ravencoin, Ethereum etc, if 19x PCIe slot is way too much just look for another, there are some with lesser slots

You can use any motherboard to mine Zcash, it's not as if there are separate motherboards one can use to mine Zcash it's all the same thing, just go to Amazon, Newegg to ebay and shop for motherboards with enough pcie slots you need

The problem is OP wants to mine ZEC using gpu.  This is a horrible idea.  ZEC is now mined by Asic.  You can hash away with GPU but OP will never do much with it.  A 3080 will hash at almost 1khs......problem is that will generate 0.0115 ZEC per MONTH....or $1.20 per month per rtx 3080.  In other words you would NEVER ROI.

You need to go back to early 2018 to be gpu mineable.

For $50 he can buy a used Z9mini and get 14-16khs on zec.  Or even get a bigger asic.  Gpus are not effective at mining ZEC any more...and havent for a long time.

It's good to see more people buying computer parts to build a mining rig but mind you it's bad news to mine ZEC with gpu because of high mining difficulty, it's no more a good idea unlike few years ago, right now you need an asic miner to mine ZEC, very tough just like when one plans to mine LTC, gpu mining these coins are is too late

Don't mine ZEC you won't make good profits because that Coin isn't Profitable for those using graphics card anymore, there are other algorithms out there that are better, Ethereum for example, we have Monero, Ravencoin etc but if ZEC is still your choice you will have to order for asic miner

I believe that Bitmain Z15 is the best asic miner for ZCASH presently, if you want to know more about this asic miner you can go through the link down below, don't buy old Bitmain Z series unless you have free electricity

In 2018 Zcash mining is 4 times more profitable than even bitcoin mining but today Zcash difficulty is very high that it makes graphic cards rendering useless, you can try it out to find the answer, after days on mining (that is if you see softwares that allows gpu zcash mining) I'm sure you won't make any reasonable amount
