The forum reputation is clean.

The scam accusations are against companies/tokens/individuals  that try to scam forum users. A lot of scam accusations is good, because it shows that they were detected and won't scam people again so easily.

If your friends wants just to read, he doesn't even need an account here. He just need an account if he wants to make comments.

The user like you makes the image of the forum not clean. Just advice your friend to keep away in the forum if he is running a ponzi too because his reputation will gonna be the same as yours. The forum itself is fair with an unmoderated trust system.

Your friend should not fear to use the forum if he don't have a plan to do things that against the rule here.

Sure, except for the part where scammers aren't banned--and they abound because of it.

If I were to give a recommendation to OP's friend, it would be to stick around for a while and figure out who's trustworthy and who isn't--and that's not even that easy, even with the DT system.  Personally, it's only been experience with a small handful of members that's taught me who I can trust, and even then I don't trust anyone 100%.  And if I were OP's friend, I wouldn't expect complete security or the ability to trust anyone 100% either.

I am completely confused on what you are trying to say.

Projects/threads that are being reported under the scam accusation board are either scam or ponzi-schemes that are generally harmful to  the community. In addition, there are moderators and hard-working members who help the forum by either cleaning up spams and provide general knowledge to the forum.

If your friends wants to join the forum, please take the time to read about the rules in order to avoid getting banned early on. Good luck.

Just suggest you friend that ''buddy the forum is not the social media like Facebook where we can share our Ponzi scheme business and people will take it as normal as Facebook groups/channels members. So you should not go there because you can not make money by promoting Ponzi scheme''

The forum reputation is clean.

It is not possible to remove 100% of all the scammers and shitposters without actually hurting the forums traffic by a significant amount.

Truth be told the first time I actually came on this forum back in 2012/13 was because I wanted to rant about Butterfly labs not shipping my shit.

Point being, people like to rant and complain, w/o scammers scamming, that'd be cut down a lot here. And if theymos really wanted to do any of that he'd have done it a long time ago.

If your friend is interested in buying crypto I’d advise him to keep away from the forum & stick to one of the following:

Reputable Exchanges / Trading Platforms
www.kraken.com
www.coinbase.com
www.bitstamp.com
www.localbitcoins.com

If he’s keen to avoid the above then I recommend using the following website to locate a Bitcoin ATM near to his location:

www.coinatmradar.com

How do we know your friend is here or not.

You should suggest your friend and tell him that: members in this forum will not bite your friend, if you prohibit your friend from doing this.
👇

Well, if you don't suggest the above points and keep doing it, the wolf will pounce on and tear your friend apart, until he goes back to where he belongs again.
Wolves will be tame, if your friends can obey the rules and understand how to tame wild wolves, your friends are safe in the forest and can blend in with the wild.

Well, the forum reputation isn't negative at all, infact it's the official forum of Bitcoin! All other Bitcoin forums are not official, so if your friend is really interested in crypto and Bitcoin, this forum is where he should be! We have so many tools and information here, and even legend Satoshi's profile! Reputation is negative for the scams and spams and not the forum as whole. Every place has some dirty corner, and these scams are just that. The forum as a whole is a very nice community!

This forum is not actually created for crypto marketplace but still it allows people to do whatever things they want until it doesn't involve scammy/shady activities. INternet is full of scammers so bitcointalk is not an exception to it but you still can choose your trading partner wisely and make trades in smooth manner and you know bitcointalk's trust system made things easier for the people to find who is trusted and who shouldn't be.

If your friend joins the forum, and becomes an active member, he could build trust with the reputable members, and then he may be able to trade. If you are trading here, then to need to use KYM ( know your member).

Please share your search query, so we can look at the influential reviews that made you believe this bullshit.
What is the relation of the moderators, and even more so the admin to your goal? Are you going to trade, or your friend, and how have the moderators hurt you? Has a friend been banned? So he is a crook, to hell with such friends.

If you google how come so many negative info ?

Negative info and scam accusations against who? The forum doesn't partake in any deals or trades to be accused of scamming. How is Bitcointalk at fault if a scammer defrauds members through his service or coin offering? It seems silly to even ask someone who enjoys stealing from others and making charges on their credit cards.

I was scammer and fraudster :)
I was carder also if you even know who is carder :)

How would a scammer, thief, and carder define a trustworthy person? What are the qualities of such a man in your eyes?
Please share your feedback because the forum admins would love nothing more than to make scumbags (sorry autocorrect), thieves and similar fraudsters (autocorrect again) have a pleasant stay here.

Bitcointalk is not a trading platform bro, but a forum where you can seek for advice, learn and also other learn from you...
So I don't understand how introducing your friend to bitcointalk will be a danger to him! unless there is a different motive which is not included in OP.

Your friend can not investment money here, him can only get investment advise from experts here.

Unless you're talking about him investing his time here by  being a forum members and making contributions to assist others

then tell him not to buy admins from this forum. They are all broken.
Admins and moderators from this forum have nothing with any trade unless they themselves are involved in the trade. For example, you OpenCryptoSystem and me examplens, both of us are not admin here, but we can trade between us, right? Even if in a trade like this, without admin, problems can happen.

yet I am curious. Even if your friend knows for a "bad info" they still want to "invest here" whatever this means . I am wondering, why? after all bad info?

Now you just trolling and you answer the questions with questions.
You present superficial speculations here without some clear explanations. admins and moderators ignore or delete troll posts like yours,  it probably causes some negative thinking in your heads. you will probably answer with some new same question, and you will only confirm what I am saying.

because of the trust abuse in this forum for no reason or no trade i will change my post.
yes, administration and moderation of this forum are the worst existing than any other else, but i don't think they are scammers
but in other way, the "trusted" members here, blackmail, threat around and farming alt accounts for obvious reasons.
i were just tagged by "trusted" member for being an alternative account of known scammer in this forum.
without connection, without even had trade here, just because some scammer had conversation with another scammer (based on google research), one of the scammers "merit" me to prove me as his alt account, and i were tagged for that without any solid evidence...
the way administrators and moderators of this forum let fraudsters with powers is disgusting.
but based on everything i read last few days, the administration of this forum do not give a single fuck about it because it earn a lot of money by that kind of administrating, and the moderators itself only watch for plagiarism violation and stuff like that, like this forum do not even have marketplace.
by that said, i strongly recommend you to find better place for you and your friends if you want to be safe.
this is the very first 10 years old forum without official rules, with non-moderated scams, and with gang called "trusted" people who control the rank up system and the "trust" itself.
any real community or forum would never let anyone else than the moderation to control the "powers" of their place.
you can consider this forum as a joke.

You can.  Some of us like it this way.

A self-policing community might be different to what you're accustomed to, but I find scammers are identified faster because of it.  Maybe that's why you don't approve?

self policing community ? :D You mean group of people which are doing what they want?
and what you mean by "us", do you consider yourself as part of this gang?
from what i check around, you are no one and there is around 10-20 people who manage this forum no matter the moderators and administrators
it doesn't matter scammers are identified faster, which is not truth, consider scams are not moderated, they can create another account and scam again in matter of minutes.
once again, this forum have the worst community but the best crypto information.
i guess that suits the administration well, but also give good example.
scammers are more than welcome and even if they get tagged, they are more than welcome to come back.
if that's the way you guys running around, i can play that game
you don't let people to stay legit, you provide them a way more easy and better option - to scam, and get back when they got caught.

self policing community ? :D You mean group of people which are doing what they want?

If you don't like the feedback certain people are leaving, remove those people from your personal trust list.  You can configure it however you like.  It's entirely up to you whose feedback you recognise.  You can remove every single DT member if you so choose.  But instead, you whine about it.  You've been given the tools, now use them.

and what you mean by "us", do you consider yourself as part of this gang?

There isn't a "gang".  There are simply some individuals who have gained more trust than others, because people approve of the feedback/ratings/flags they've left.  I'm sorry if no one approves of what you're doing.

from what i check around, you are no one

So?  Not everyone is looking for fame or notoriety, but that doesn't mean I don't have thoughts and opinions on the subject.  They just happen to differ to your opinions.  I'm quite content with the trust system as it stands.

and there is around 10-20 people who manage this forum no matter the moderators and administrators

The total number on DT1 can change (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5117330.msg56004635#msg56004635).  There's also a monthly reshuffle (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5095156.msg56012669#msg56012669) so that DT1 constantly has different people in it.  This is by the administrator's design.  Maybe learn how it actually works first before you start trying to shoot it down?
