Title: EXCHANGE BLOCKCHAIN.COM
Post by: Exxpinete on January 19, 2021, 03:29:48 PM
Hi,
Has anyone suffered his account being blocked by exchange.blockchain.com?
I came to be under scrutiny because of a supposed breach of terms, and for more than 4 weeks I have my account suspended and all my BTCs and EURs blocked.
I asked for the reason but they (support) say they are not allowed.
Any chances of getting my funds back?
Isnīt this illegal? ???
Thanks

Perhaps you've logged in using a VPN or Tor, or you're from a country which is restricted from their exchange? Here's the list of countries prohibited from trading on Blockchain Exchange (https://exchange-support.blockchain.com/hc/en-us/articles/360031160332-What-countries-are-supported-on-Blockchain-Exchange-for-Fiat-deposits-withdrawals-USD-EUR-).

Otherwise, have you by any chance used a mixer, CoinJoin or other methods of blockchain transaction chain obfuscation before depositing coins on the exchange?..

Unless you were doing something illegal that is under investigation by law enforcement there is zero reason for them not telling you what the issue is. Keep bugging them to tell you why!

Do their T&C mention anything about transfers to/from gambling sites? I know that many exchanges do not allow that but if that is the case they should still tell you.

Confused, I didn't get it.
Do your account it's suspended or enable to do some trade? It's different things.

If your account suspended, you must ask them to support to solve that.
If your account it's enable to do trade or some like that, might your browser running some VPN. (You can try clear cookies then try to restart your connections to get new IP).

No, never used their exchange.

Never heard that before. The support should let you know the reason why your account is frozen, no matter what the matter is. You should keep pinging them and tell them that you have funds in your account that you need, and if they are not willing to let you have the funds, they should at least let you know why you were blocked.

There is no other way unless you convince them to let you withdraw your money from the account.
And the legality of their actions depends on the laws within your country. If you have actually violated their T&Cs, then there is nothing illegal about that, but if there is something unclear or a misunderstanding, then maybe you can take some legal action if your country supports that.

Hi,
no gambling, nothing illegal... I thinks this issue is completely absurd, I fell like Kafka... and so frustrating :'(
Could it possibly be some faking from people at support?
Any way to place a complaint? Tried at the live chat but no success.

calm down you will get your funds back, after the support has finished checking your account. because there are several problems facing not only your account. I experienced it in 2020 when I forgot to turn off the VPN. regardless of your review, I recommend continuing to lobby support or do a comparative test.

Hi, thank you for your experience, I guess it will be the issue regarding VPN, I use it for work and maybe forgot to switch it off, but why is this a breach in their terms?

I use EXCHANGE BLOCKCHAIN.COM to get airdrop coin only and not look profitable for saving assets here, better hold and save my bitcoin or altcoin on exchange market wallet like Binance, I think we can't trade on EXCHANGE BLOCKCHAIN.COM just only as saving wallet, but if you save only better use trustwallet and keep support with district country and not have block any country so far.

First off, check their T&C to see what they say about VPN's. The main issue with using one is that it of course obscures where you are and these days all the large exchanges need to know your true location so they can comply with AML/KTC regulations that are dictated by the countries they operate in.

Thank you for the explanation, I am quite sure this has been the case... ::)
