Today's market is very risky because bitcoin is a very volatile asset, the future of which is still uncertain. To mitigate any risks involved with investing in bitcoin, you should wait for it to achieve new ATH. Then you skip it and don't invest. Just wait for another ATH, the one that will give you enough evidence that the time has come. You should probably skip that one too because it is still risky to invest your money. In my opinion, you need to wait for the third ATH. Only then it is going to be relatively safe to put your dollars in. Don't wait too long, however, because you can miss the moment when bitcoin is no longer volatile due to its maturity.

Before you invest on bitcoin, making a lot of researches will help you on what to improve and what to learn in trading and investment. Cryptocurrency is so complex and technical when you engage to it that's why it takes a lot of time to learn and adapt on how it works in the market. But bitcoin is really worth it to invest and you should make some time to understand and also share it to your friends and families. Also look for a mentor or a professional so that these experienced investors will help you on how to start without having big problems.

The abovementioned advices are very good and sage. I can only add that you should calculate the risk inherent in case if the market price will sharply dump. The bitcoin market is doing volatile nowadays and it can drop a few thousand in an hour and get up 10 thousand in a day. If you are ready and you have a lot of nerve then feel free to invest in Bitcoin right now. ;)

Talking about risks, it is not only limited to Bitcoin, but in fact the entire crypto space is filled with risks, hence you need to be extremely careful to be safe from hackers, scammers and most importantly, you should always Invest what you can afford to lose because the market as well is highly volatile. Talking about Bitcoin, the fact is, many people will always have different opinions regarding it, some are willing to invest in the future (Bitcoin) and some thinks it's better to stay away, but yet won't fail to discourage people, therefore the reason why you need to understand how the crypto space works and the potentials of Bitcoin in order to be enlightened and stay put. In the same way, talking about hacking of exchanges, in order to be safe, keep your assets in your personal wallets while in the case of scammers, learn to be contented because what these scammers do in social media platforms is to advertise platforms they say will give high returns with little money when you invest and will show fake proofs to back it up, but if you will learn to overlook all those adverts, their messages and so on, you will be safe from being scammed. Lastly, if you want to invest in Bitcoin for long term, then wait for a while for the price to drop then buy with funds you are comfortable with.

Bitcoin trading has been around for a couple of years now, and since its emergence, a lot has changed. You need to conduct your own homework if you are just getting started. Knowing what you are getting into will help you make informed investment choices.

Learn to walk before you run. You need to understand basic mechanics. Learn how to sell and buy bitcoin, and how to start buying bitcoin on the easiest and most secure platforms.

It is important to learn how to guard your assets, as with all other financial investments. You need to protect your digital assets from scammers and cyber attacks in this instance.

Before you increase your investment, first invest small amounts and see how things turn out.

You don't need to get into every detail to invest in bitcoin, if you plan to daytrade then you might benefit from it but if you want to be a passive investor then I think the basics will be enough for you. Cryptocurrency is complex but that does not mean that you have to learn each bit of information about it, you will not use all of them anyway. I agree with you about mentorship, in my opinion this is the best way to gain more knowledge and information without spending too much time because you are both experiencing the things that you should learn and at the same time the mentor will be teaching you things that you will use along the way, have to be careful about it though, look for a mentor that will prioritize your growth instead of profiting from mentoring you.

The trading attitude is very important, and it is also very important to control the position. Only by knowing how to control losses can you have a chance to make a profit. Do not invest blindly. Pay more attention to market trends like visiting crypto news site coindesk.com but I will also recommend to you to take a look at the ZB.com research report.

Yeah, people should consider educating themselves about the current situation of the market rather than jumping to invest blindly without knowing the stories about it. In this kind of investment, you don't need to take whatever they said because most of what these people say is in their own opinion to make their coins popular to others to give them false hope. You need to make your own research to save yourself from such things or else you only lose your investment from nothing.

I do.
  • Never trust any "succeeded investor" from the internet.
  • Do not invest if you don't understand how it works.
  • Do not invest if you can't afford to lose.
  • It's recommended to invest half or lower of your money to bitcoin (or anything else). "Don't put all your eggs in one basket".
  • Never deposit coins on exchanges if you want a long-term investment. Use non-custodian wallets instead.
  • Use online exchanges if you want day-to-day trading with low fees.
  • You forget the paypal method.
  • Read about it. Educate yourself. This thing will blow up in the future, because of this. Not all people have understood what it is.

I advise that before you start investing in bitcoin, you must know what bitcoin is and what are the ways on how you will earn here and also how bitcoin works. Simply because why you will invest your time, money and effort on a thing that you didn't understand on how it works? Another thing is that security, always remember to back up all of your assets and private keys in order for you to be more secured to those people that has a bad intention to you.

What is your legit suggestion  in investing into bitcoin base on the level of your exposure to the blockchain industry?

Just do your own research, believe in what you have known. If anyone who is famous hates Bitcoin and tells the public on not to invest in Bitcoin but invest somewhere else, don't listen, it is you who are going to invest, not them (letting others to decide what you should do means you're not making your own future). Always make decisions base on your own speculation, ignore the doubt and take the risk to make profits.

Trust me, we have our own preference when it comes to investing our money, and right now, investing in Bitcoin is the greatest idea that you could ever made. Just don't forget to study about it first.

^ preparing self [knowledge, mentality, and money] before investing in Bitcoin is your best first step. don't start investing in Bitcoin because of the hype, you will only lose money and confidence because of it. at first, I never had the desire to focus on cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin but I saw a very large chance of success in cryptocurrencies. If you believe in yourself and invest in Bitcoin with full confidence it will not be until the next 5 years, you will be very rich.

I have two points or suggestions, about the advice that investors should heed before investing in crypto.

1. Do it yourself. that means you should arm yourself with proper knowledge of the bitcoin or the project you want to invest in. one of the ways is to study the whitepaper.

2. Know the TIMING, it will help you to know when to get into the market and when to cash out. This applies to investment and trading, timing is key to success in this volatile industry.

For me investing in Bitcoin is the best if it is long term. You buy it low and then hold it until your target has reached. This method is tested and proven super effective and legit by early adopter and athor investor of Bitcoin.

Based of on experience then those words arent something new into this market. You would see tons of them that floating around and just as expected
for a speculative market then you would see lots of speculative guesses and perceptions/views towards it.

How to deal? Just let them be and just continue on things that you do believe. Some say that it is risky, yes its risky but very rewarding if your investment or decisions were right.

This isnt something that we can potentially gain on a typical or traditional market like forex or stocks but when it comes to security then that would really
be an another issue.

Suggestions? Dont invest on the amount that you cant afford to lose.

Investing in crypto or bitcoin in particular, you always nee knowledge, patience, good timing and strategy. Crypto market is unstable, it means bitcoins value is volatile, you should know and monitor the market movement but if you want to invest for a long term then you should have a lot of patience.
Investing in cryptocurrency is not that easy because you need to consider a lot of things before doing it. A single mistake of choice can lead to a loss of money so you might wanna study the cryptocurrency first, the movement of the market, and its nature. You should also know that there are scam projects out there so you should be careful, try choosing those projects that are on the top list in the market. Bitcoin is a good investment, there are lots of people become a millionaire because of bitcoin. But it is not that easy because they do that with knowledge and with their techniques.

Illegal crypto currency investment offers are still happening. So you have to be more selective before deciding to choose crypto investments.
We must know and realize that investing in crypto is an enormous risk. Although investing in crypto is very profitable for those who have already undergone it. In the crypto industry, there are still those who seek profit by committing scams among the limitations of information got by the public. For that, it is necessary to understand before entering the crypto industry.

There are many topics related to this that can help newbies to understand the nature of crypto. Thus if they're not lazy to search they will find many threads that are very useful to get some tips and do's and dont when investing.

Anyways what I can advice to those who are planning to invest in bitcoin is always fill your mind first with knowledge. Dont rush things because it can led to worse situation like being greedy to earn or ending up with scammers for easy money. Only invest what you can afford to lose plus experience is the best teacher as well and this is the way to realize your mistakes.

If you will go by predictions of other high profile analysts, you're done. I believe you've got enough mind to study and research on your own because nobody is going to spoonfeed you on when to buy and where. We may guide you but our guidances are speculative so they can be called worthless or worth it if you decide to take it as an advice and use it. It's better for you to consult a professional trader in your area who may guide you and explain you why you need to have BTC in your portfolio today.

Choosing to invest in bitcoin is the right choice, but investing in bitcoin digital currency carries a greater risk than investing in general. The high volume puts bitcoin at risk because of its volatile price increases and decreases and tends to be extreme.

Basic knowledge of cryptocurrency is a must before investing in crypto. You have to enter at the right time and also exit the market at the right time in order to make a profit from that investment. make sure you have a strategy for the future.

In addition, some people who are skeptical about a possible hack of their bitcoin assets that are on the exchange certainly make novice investors afraid. But choosing a popular and secure exchange will save your assets like Binance which many people already trust, but don't have complete control over. You can also save it on your personal hardware wallet with full control and only you can control it.

The best thing to do when you spend your money for investing in bitcoin or even in other investment place is you have to use the money that you can afford to lose. That is one thing that can make you comfortable when you are investing, you will face many things or situation, at least you will not make the false decision to sell your investment. Although you are a trader professional, you will make a false decision if you afraid to lose your money, I'll bet it.

As for a suggestion investing in bitcoin because its volatility and adoption, I don't I just thinking that bitcoin is safe for investment place because I've known it. Although there will be a situation which can make bitcoin price fall becuase the regulation then I'll think bitcoin still save as investment place. Because we have been faced it, bitcoin price fall a lot but we need a right time to pull back and it has happened, it will happen in the future.

If you are really going to invest in Bitcoin, I sggest you do it in the reputable and trusted exchanges. never invest bitcoin in new platforms that offer high profits and also very legit income. They may be scammers.
Wat we can do right now is buying Bitcoin in top exchange such as Binance and COinbase. Then if the BTC is used for a long term investment, it is better to move them to hardware wallet in order to increase the security.

Bitcoin investment is too risky to take but we can't deny also that all businesses have the same possible end which is losing if we never know what we are doing. Those people who never know about Bitcoin will simply think about that but why many people got into this kind of investment and succeed because they believe in Bitcoin and they work on it.

We can say that only risk-takers can do such a thing in CRYPTO Investment and those who are not, will remain nega. Just think if we buy more Bitcoin 10 years ago, what it happens to us now?

I would suggest you to get some knowledge first. Do your own research, try to understand bitcoin and blockchain, because if you don't understand what you buy and what you hold, you can't never be successful. Also, you will need to do risk and money management. Do go all-in and if you want to invest for example, 20K dived the money into 5 parts and buy bitcoin in different prices. This is also called stairs strategy. Generally, before doing any investment, you will need to get some more knowledge.

How market reacts, when market reacts positive, when reacts negative etc.

but all investments have risks, trust experienced people if you want to know the correct information, do not easily trust information via the internet,
My advice from bitcoin is long-term investment and find the right information to reduce the risk of investing in cryptocurrencies such as BItcoin.

It could be because the price of BTC is soo huge this time that made them skeptic of what could happen once they try buyng by bulk. Would it be logical for them to buy a token thats just in the early stage of development and at the same time had also touch thr bottom of its market?

It will be worth investing to be early in investing to a project while its token price is $0.05 than $32,000 per coin.

Investing in Bitcoin is much much better rather than investing your money in a bank, and OP or anyone don't need to make everything complicated on predicting the price etc. Simply buying in the deep after we hit above $40,000 is good. For example, if you'll buy at $34,000 and hodl it and then wait for it to reach $39,000-$42,000 then it is a sure profit already.

That's how Bitcoin differs from any other coins in the cryptocurrency world. The higher the volatility, the higher the profits, and you don't have to fear that it'll go back at $500, it'll go rocket up high first to the highest price peak before it bounce back so deep.

Before we invest in bitcoin we should be knowledgeable about cryptocurrency first so we know how risky investing in it. Today's market is riskier now compared before because of the value of bitcoin, maybe we should wait first for some other time for the value of bitcoin to go down, I am still waiting for the value to go down up to $25k - $30k before I buy and invest it and will keep on holding it for a long term.

You need to know basics, before making any investment you need to research it, deeper you go can be better for you, you need to have your starting capital ready, know your limits and goals! This works for any kind of investment, not just in Bitcoin or any other crypto asset or service!
After you done your homework you will have to do some thinking...is it an investment you make just to earn money in the short run, or you believe in your investment, and you are ready to wait before it gets more popular and worth a lot more money than in the time of making investment!
Having in mind that blockchain is a new technology, when you make investment in crypto it's kinda you believe in the crypto future or not, if you do your homework, and you like all this and where it's going, than you need to make some investment and support it!

~
This is usually done by newbies who come to the bitcoin ecosystem because they see the news of the extraordinary increase in BTC. they panic buy because they want to get big profits. whereas panic buying and being hasty or greedy is not very good, as you say, it must be based on market analysis in order to get profit.
Unfortunately, this is often ignored by greedy newbies and wants to get instant profit. when they lose, they will loudly say bitcoin scam, bubble, etc., even though it's their own fault.
need to be based that bitcoin is a high-risk investment.

So disappointing, people will blame Bitcoin than blaming themselves because of their own fault. Naturally, greedy people will never have a successful end here in crypto but most of them had failed.
One thing that most influences the mindset of the people is the news. Some people make their own negative statements even without knowing the situation, they are mostly on their own, and this will lead to more doubts especially for newcomers.

I think as long as you invest money that you can afford to lose, I think it is safe to invest in Bitcoin. Based on my 5 years of experience investing
in Bitcoin, I have no loss as long as my Bitcoin is not sold when the price falls below the price I bought it. So the key to success in order to get
a large profit from investing in Bitcoin is patience. As long as you are patient HODL until the price of the Bitcoin pump, surely you can enjoy the profit
from Bitcoin. So there is no need to hesitate to invest in Bitcoin, as long as it follows the basic rules of investing in Bitcoin it is very safe and profitable.

It would be not better to invest in bitcoin at this time.At this time, there is instability in the bitcoin market. Many people are selling their assets for a small profit. In my opinion investing in Bitcoin seems risky at this time.If you invest in this time, you have to wait patiently for good results.

There are lot notions around the number one digital currency investment. Potential investors from Wall Street think that it might not be the best for them to invest in Bitcoin. Some people skepticism arise a result of record exchange hacks and also lot of scammers in various social media platform.

It's just a risk worth taking. There's a flaw in the current banking system and only the elite are able to profit of the masses. Probably bitcoin meant not be the global currency but it's worth giving a try. It offer alternative that are privacy friendly unlike what we have with the banking system. Nobody will intentions want to close the doors to where they profit from and that's exactly what the bankers are doing.

You don't expect them to advice investing in a technology that's take them out of business. The decentralized mode of operation is what the bankers are afraid off since they'll lose control over the finance of the masses.  The suggestions isn't deferent from what the enthusiast before me has stated.

Invest with only what you'll be comfortable losing so you won't get depressed if that's to be the outcome of trend bit that's very unlikely to happen.

This would be sound advice for all potential investor. There is no point in using 100% of your money to invest in bitcoin if you end up stressing out about losses. Using borrowed money or money raised from selling valuables may not be one of the recommended options. This investment is very risky and potential investor should consider this risk.

comfortable losing of meney is an important point for all potential investor and this advice will make them feel more comfortable without the pressure when price don't match expectation. Also knowledge, experience and emotional control should belong to every trader or investor. Price fluctuation are common, but investor also still need to secure their capital when the market dump.

For me I don’t see anything wrong with investing your money in Bitcoin. Bitcoin is good, the risk can be high, but that’s what makes it an investment, there is always a risk. The advice I give is that when you make up your mind to start buying bitcoin, you shouldn’t be in a hurry or try to FOMO, you have to relax and make sure that you’re buying with the right amount and at the right time, because if you don’t do that, you’re going to be facing a real big problem. Some people have tried to FOMO and doing so with all their savings so that they can double their savings, at the end it’s mostly regrets.

Once you entered bitcoin you should consider the possible outcome that to you facing in the future if the price is down because investing is risky and anytime the money you have will chances to lost and I think you should consider that. Because anytime soon there is possible big dump happen but the good to this is also anytime will chances to rise very high taking risk is needed to invest to the bitcoin.

Learn from experience, investing in bitcoin is basically a big risk, if you are not sure about bitcoin do not ever force it to enter a very volatile market.

You will not be able to feel the sensation if you only hear other people unless you really enter into it.

I have 9 plus years of experience in investing with Bitcoin and I guess that is enough to provide a few bits if advice. Bitcoin is not a mainstream investment asset like equity, bullion or real estate. And unlike the case with equity or treasury bond, you don't need the help from anyone to invest in Bitcoin, or to store your assets. Now this may be one of the reason why the Wall Street is not very happy about Bitcoin.

Now coming to the wallet hacks, unfortunately it is very common these days. But in 99.9% of the cases, the users are to be blamed for not taking basic precautions such as 2FA. If you have 2FA, then there is a very remote chance that your wallet will get hacked.

Familiarization about how Bitcoin works will be the first step most specially if you do really know nothing from it and you are being a first timer wanting to engage into investment. Having prior knowledge most specially the basics are very essential for there are certain risks associated upon doing engagement with Bitcoin that can be somehow manageable and be bearable once you know how to properly deal with the associated risks you will encounter. Research is a must thing to do to have better understanding about it for you might get lost in your mind ans funds not knowing what you are doing and might end up getting frustrated and disappointed.

Jump straight in and buy a tiny amount on an exchange such as Coinbase.

Nothing like a bit of skin in the game to focus you :)

Not really. 2FA protects your account, but if you hold your BTC in a custodial wallet such as Binance's, their cold wallet could get hacked and you then would lose your money as well, even with 2FA enabled. To avoid getting hacked, you just need a clean PC with a verified non-custodial wallet on it.

I'd simply emphasize on the line "invest the amount you can forget". Today some people throw their money at what they don't really make proper research about and one of them is Bitcoin. But however, whether you've made your research or not, only invest the amount of money that you wouldn't have to be checking Bitcoin's price every second of the day. So, invest the amount that you'd forget you even invested. This way, you won't be restless and worried when the turbulence of price begins.

Investing with money that is not included in the money needs and also the allocation every month from the main job is a smart thing. Many people are trapped when the price drops and end up selling at a low price. Money management is very important in investing in bitcoin. I think many people are still careless about this. I also like you to invest with a nominal that will not be a burden.

As I would see it, in the event that you need to put resources into bitcoin from here on out and get a benefit, at that point you need to sit tight for bitcoin to arrive at the new ATH on the grounds that as of now the market is extremely dangerous because of the changing cost of bitcoin.

There are some advantages of investing in Bitcoin like liquidity and lower inflation risk, but high volatility makes Bitcoin a risky investment.

First remember the golden rule 'Never invest more than that you afford to lose'. Now coming to your question, if you see historical price of BTC, it is always growing with some down times. I don't think BTC has reached it full potential yet.
Everyday more people got to learn about BTC and crypto and everyday we get new holders.

yes, for example we don't know and understand bitcoin, we better not go in and invest in it before we do research and knowledge first, of course it's useless, for example, we only hear news and know about bitcoin when bitcoin price increases are peaking & a lot of news which is very phenomenal, of course more and more people will know about bitcoin, and there will be many people who are willing to buy and invest in it after they know that bitcoin has the potential to grow in the future and many people can get big profits from it.

You need to outsmart those competitors around this market, you need to use money that you can let go or you can allow to take a much longer term for your investment.

Like wat you have said, a lots of people lose their money from this investment or other venue of investment due to lack of patience or fears to lose more. If you are capable of risking your money then the chance is higher.

You are right I always follow the market trend and I don't go with price range because it may go in either way also I don't prefer these so called experts.

I would rather go with my own research so that I can make some new plans and fill my bags as future of BTC looks very clear and unique that's the reason loads of money are pouring that's not so much risky this will surely give me satisfaction as I am researching if I fail I will take this as a lesson and do it better.

The higher the risk, the greater the profit. That's why we try to take risk in order to gain something valuable. Just like bitcoin, there's a high risk when you try to enter its domain by investing, that's why you need further research and knowledge before betting your own wealth into that currency. Also, skipping opportunities such as corrections or dip may be regrettable since it can turntables your fortune if you're already late to bitcoin.

I don't really think i will agree with you on this. All ventures of investing, there is some level risk associated to them.  The price volatility of Bitcoin can be a blessing and curse depending your level of knowledge about the Bitcoin market. With good knowledge about the bitcoin market, price volatility will be the focal point of your investment plans and strategies. As a Bitcoin investor, you should be concern about the rate at which the price of Bitcoin changes and use that at your advantage to make profit.

He do mention on waiting for it to achieve on new ATH? Then what would be the steps he would be doing? Buying on peak? thats suicide but if you do go for long term then entering on any price wont really be an issue.
When it comes to suggestion for investing on bitcoin. then it would be the basics;

-Dont be greedy
-This isnt a one day quick rich scheme
-Dont fall in fud or fomo
-Always set profit taking measures
-Invest on the amount you can afford to lose.

Very basic but actually hard to be applied but can really be learnt though.

Changes in bitcoin price or bitcoin price fluctuations can be identified by analyzing them with technical and fundamental analysis to read where the next bitcoin price is. Investing in bitcoin or other altcoins if you don't know basic TA and FA knowledge will certainly be very risky, because you don't know when to enter the market and when to leave. High volume has a high risk and it will be dangerous if we do not know to analyze the market.

There are two people in the market who aims for profit, traders and investors, depends on the time frame, how long you're willing to wait.
But the most important thing before invest is doing research and learn the fundamentals of bitcoin, then determine your strategy.
Bitcoin value supposes to increase over time, hence investors who aim for a higher target require extra perseverance, patience, and self-control to wait for a longer period than traders.

That post was a bit sarcastic, which means you shouldn't take it literally. The idea is that most people are starting to ask for investment advice only when an asset reaches its ATH. Where were you when bitcoin was at 3200$ per coin? Was bitcoin too expensive or too risky to buy? It is now riskier and more expensive to buy bitcoin, so the answer is it is always too late to buy it if you know nothing about an asset you want to invest money in. Why is that so? Basically, if you ask for investment advice, you shouldn't invest whatsoever. If you ask for advice, you didn't do your homework, your research, you have no idea why you chose bitcoin for your investment. Because if you did know all of that, you wouldn't be waiting for a perfect moment to invest, you wouldn't be looking at bitcoin's short-term volatility. You would just be certain that bitcoin grows in price not because of hype, FOMO, or bubble, but because it has useful qualities that make it valuable and attractive for investors.

Well, it would depend on the interest of the majority in that current part. Not everyone in Wall Street wants to be part of crypto but there are some who want to be and probably are HODLing different cryptocurrencies. As a part of the crypto community for quite some time now, I believe it's good to invest in this market, especially Bitcoin. The catch is if everything goes sideways, don't blame it on someone who suggested it. It should be taken with a grain of salt type of thing.

Everything that is considered an investment is a risk already, it's never going to be sure but the management of risk is a necessity.

In order to evaluate bitcoin, I look at this forum and other activities which help bitcoin to become more famous. The price of bitcoin is also an important aspect cause it demonstrates the real supply/demand theory. Therefore, I usually do not want to listen to any potential investors in Wall Street or financial expert advisors. I trust my guts and my instinct. Moreover, bitcoin has built a huge trust to me which I believe that it has chances to alter the current monetary system. Therefore, I keep buying bitcoin more and more no matter how high the price can be
