Title: Can't connect to Armory - need to get my coins... Post by: encrypted_tokens on January 20, 2021, 05:43:06 PM I am having a hell of a time getting the huge transfer I sent to Armory because I didn't understand how complex of a wallet Armory was compared to others.
I have Bitcoin Core fully installed and downloaded the needful blockchain resources over several days - but now armory is stuck on "Preparing Databases" and wont' show my balance. I did get a Windows Notification stating that it lost connection I believe but I am totally lost. I have my Private Keys of course, how can I (preferably WITHOUT Armory) simply restore my damn coins and send to another wallet? This has been so frustrating. Thank you!!! You can simply install electrum (https://electrum.org/#home) and import your private keys.In Electrum, create a new wallet, select "Import bitcoin addresses or private keys" and import your private key. Warning: Download electrum only from its official website (https://electrum.org/#home) and don't forget to verify your download (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5240594.0). I have my Recovery Phrase for Armory, I do not have the Private Keys from Armory.
So I need to use Armory? I keep getting: "Connection to Bitcoin Core client lost! Armory cannot send nor receive Bitcoins until connection is re-established" Thank you. Select "See other backup options". https://i.imgur.com/XiVpcif.jpg 4.
