Title: What are you guys trading today?
Post by: zerogrown on January 25, 2021, 12:39:17 AM
Bitcoin (BTC) continues to be stagnant at $32k giving time for some alts to recover at a certain level where they can compete like Polkadot (DOT) and Chainlink (LINK). Ethereum (ETH) still on its streak of going up maybe going after an all new ATH. But the real competition starts with top 4 to 10 giving them more chance to gain resistance at this stagnant market. What are you guys trading today?  ???

I trade bitcoin and hold all the altcoins you talk about. It would be tiring to trade so many different currencies, it seems that the decline of bitcoin in the last few days has been giving very positive signs for altcoins. Sincerely I don't care which currencies will replace each other's positions, because investment is fundamentally profitable and it is doing it for me now. Keep reminding you not to trade too many different currency pairs.

I agree with you, just focusing to one or two is enough to trade with. Oh also having a trading bots help for my trades with the tokens that i don't usually focus on  ;)

And tread starter, i am trading LINK and ETH  (https://trade.kucoin.com/ETH-BTC)right now. Bots on BTC and other alts.

One of my favorites is $ ada, $ ren # $ eth, #link these cryptocurrencies are promising and better in volume than many cryptocurrencies.

I don’t trade these days, I don't want to trade long on all-time-highs and the same time I don't want to catch falling knives for opening a short positions for this multiple resistance breakouts, really difficult to trade now, stoplosses may get hunted by wicks.
Most of the altcoins are kicking now, not only Ethereum and Polkadot. What I observe these days, the more Bitcoin go sideways, altcoins are doing their move to pump, it's kinda 2018 feels.

I'm moving from DOT and just get into the ethereum waves and got 10% return in a short time. DOT and link are good coins but this time ethereum is starting to grow up again.
It will break another ATH again soon. I'm always wanna taking the short term profit only. Long term is too risky.
DOT already reached its peak price. It may grow again but it must be stabilize its price.

I spend more time searching for information about new projects than I spend time trading during this period. Actually the trade does not bring me too much profit because I am not a real trader, it is better to be satisfied with what you have, do not be too greedy or lose everything you have.

Some experts believed that this was a sign of the cryptocurrency maturing.
We also do know that Bitcoin has a reputation for being a highly volatile and speculative asset.
In fact, I am really into BTC, though many alternative digital currencies, in turn, have offered a more realistic value proposition, and comparably more pronounced volatility.
Until I thought of starting with ETH which currently I am trading in kucoin. Using their trading pair ETH-BTC.

not too much, apart from trading bitcoin and Ethereum, alternatively I allocate 50% for DOT and Link. I recently focused on that list of altcoin. the rest I am still waiting for correction, because altcoin need careful attention.

I actually trade LTC-BTC market on Kucoin for weeks now. it worked well tbh, have now increased my order sizes, hope market conditions stay favourable!   Take a look at LTC-BTC. Similar to ETHBTC but more oomph peaks match cycle tops the past 2 cycles.

I suggest you to do this. 1) ETH into LTC now, sell LTC back to BTC near cycle top or 2) BTC to LTC, cycle top back to BTC

I'm still holding some ETH thinking that it will raise up to another level of ATH this coming months. I already know how to handle this kind of situation as I'm already in this industry for years now. The thing is, crypto market deception is brutal you need to watch it carefully and be updated regularly if you don't want to lose your investment suddenly because of its volatility. That' just my mere opinion but it was working and it'll work until the next time I convert my ETH into fiat. since I am updated every time the market faces some abnormally, I can quickly convert my ETH if something is happening especially when the price is working to decrease again.

If it's from the top 4 to the top 10, I'll choose Litecoin and BNB. But if it's for the trades, I don't trade that much and saving as much as I can. Just like with Ethereum, I've kept a good amount although it isn't that really big but just keeping it for a higher price. I've sold some and I'm in profit which made my day but still holding on for future proofs. I think that it can still go as high as it can because of the ongoing process for Ethereum 2.0.

I've been trading lately ETH, BTC and DOT. Well I really thought that the ETH would break and honestly I'm looking forward for it's new ATH along with the Bitcoin. Well right now I think it's nice to play with the market and take profit from scalping.

ETH / BTC broke that .04 level Im watching now, you guys should long ETH/BTC, it is the highest risk/reward trade I see right now tbh if you can keep your funds off a kucoin. ETH/BTC = 0.044999 as of this writing

Apart from these huge coins, I think we need to take a look more on XRP (https://trade.kucoin.com/XRP-BTC). I know, I know, its kinda falling apart with all the SEC issues but I think it will regain its glory soon enough. Even the market cap for it is getting kinda loose. Volumes on exchanges are a bit off actually. But I think its time to take some small gains out of it from this chaos.

Im not actively trading the major coins as the major coins are not so profitable like the new coins or small cap coins. The majority of major coins already pumped so hard and there is no reason for me too buy such coins.
I were looking for the small cap coins that can give me big profit in short time and the major coin can't do that.

I place my bets on ETH mainly. Moreover, its a bad idea to trade anything on bull market - it may fall anytime, so its a bad idea to make long term investments right now

I agree with that. That's why I did not try to drop the xrp I have, because I know there is still a chance for it even if it been involved in some sort of issue before.  And I think, I made the right choice.

Aside from that, I'm also eyeing ETH as it bounced back with a vengeance. I'm sure you know what I'm saying

It's good to see these altcoins flying high in the market and it's a good start for the alts seasons this month. Next month will be an exciting phase of the alts seasons and a good sign it will continue all year long. I only hold btc and other altcoins I am also scalping from time to time, just basic stuff buy low and sell high routine.

From every look of things nowadays, the price correction of Bitcoin this few days ago has given some altcoins the opportunity they need to grow and we have seen that in many top altcoins, and if this continues this way, then Bitcoin dominance is bound to keep dropping that is to say, the price of Bitcoin might drop a bit further, however this is just a prediction because Bitcoin tends to surprise a lot of times.  However, I am still trading Bitcoin but not like before while my focus now is on some top altcoins which I can monitor and trade accordingly. Also, I am looking at some other good coins as well, like UNI but yet I still tend to keep my eyes on Bitcoin.

Longing Bitcoins is always a good decision! Yes, it would be better to buy the dip, but it's not always possible, and too much waiting can be a wrong decision! Will it be I will see, because I am waiting the price to drop more to buy more, in case I made a mistake I will have to buy at higher prices, and that's a loss!
I am not trading anything special, but I am selling some of my holdings, and I am creating buy orders at lower prices... like it's what I do all the time... these times are more exciting because the prices are much higher, but except that it's the same thing!

January has been a fantastic trade for me because this month I have been trading altcoins (Union, Ethereum, Dot) and was able to make at least 20% Profit. In Q1 2021 I hope to be able to get
a profit of more than 40% and at the beginning of this month I already got almost 50% of it. I think a lot of people who are like me are getting the maximum benefit this month . When the market later turns to bearish at least I got the profit

ETH Sets its new All-Time Price High above $1,450 and still growing after some days of being calm and stagnant thats why I think having more ETH on your bag like having Bitcoin is also a good decision I have.
But what do you think about trading XRP? I think its really getting bad effect from its bad news with SEC? Look at this XRP  (https://trade.kucoin.com/XRP-BTC) pair and its price.
I also have a bag of it right now on kucoin from binance since i joined their last event and we know other exchanges delisting it too so i think kucoin is a safe place for now. Dont really know when to sell it

Stagnant at 32k? Funny that people will say crypto's problem is about volatility and then when it tries to stabilize, or consolidate, it gets labeled as stagnant haha.

LINK and other Defi at ATH while Bitcoin consolidates. Preparations for a new ATH I guess?

Not trading any of your highlighted coins at the moment, I got some Ethereum but that's strictly in my holding wallet. Ethereum is currently been undervalued, it should be worth more than wihat it's currently trading at. Ethereum should be valued above $4k to $5k by now. It has all the fundamentals and backings to be worth that much. The previous bull run saw Ethereum trading a $1.4+k and bitcoin at $20k but this season the difference is quite much.

Ethereum still has room for growth so don't be surprised if it ends this bullrun trading close to those value I listed above or even more. The market so far has been very promising and expectant but the coin that surprised me the most was $dot coin, I didn't expect it to spike as it has done. It's still very risky though, we all know how they all ended (I'm speaking about the so called ethereum killers).

I don't really believe your words about stagnation, there's always a change every second and it's interesting to follow even though I don't put a lot of money in there. When a coin is at a stagnant price it can be said to be a dead coin
I've always loved something new and I love the DEFI project even though it's a bit of revenue but very enthusiastic about the new project.

I also trade my DOT and LINK on KuCoin, sometimes I even participate on their staking program for DOT coz' they offer good APR. If I think my alts are not worth trading, I just stake them and earn some good profit within a week or even months. LINK is just new on my portfolio, I guess just a month but I can't believe how LINK performs right now.

Today or currently I only trade three Altcoins, Ethereum, Link and LTC, besides that I only keep temporary assets in USDT because now the average increase in Altcoins has started to be high so it is not suitable to buy at the current price.
I guess this stagnant market will soon experience some sort of correction coz' we experience almost 2 months of being bullish. We never know when will the bear market comes. So Hodling might be a good idea for now, but you can always buy the dips if you have the opportunity. Well for me I just hodl my LINK, DOT & ETH on crypto exchange (KuCoin) so I can easily trade if the profit comes clearer.

At the moment I am not trading because of the market's extreme volatility. The prices of the coins are at an all-time high and the risk of dump is also there so I am not risking my funds. I am thinking about long term investment at the moment as at the end profit margin is somewhat equal.

Last 2 days i also trading bitcoin/usdt in binance with a 125x leverage and you guys will be shocked about to see my luck i also couldn't believe my self that i got that much success. Over 200% pnl i got from this. It is really huge for a trader. Because if we get 30-40% pnl then we think yes it is enough in this case i got 200% isn't it huge for me yes it is. Surely your investment on Bitcoin is a good choice since more institutional investors will slowly surging in to invest in Bitcoin just like what Marathon Patent Group did recently, They scoop Bitcoin worth 150M USD which ignites the current pump on BTC price. Bitcoin is the safest coin to trade or invest in right now because this cin price doesn't rely on any altcoin price unlike Altcoins that rely on BTC price alone.

At the moment everyone is involved with btc and eth because of the fact that these two top coins move ahead of the market, yes, there are several other coins moving nicely but btc and eth have their own charm and for this reason they have over 88% of total market share which makes them extremely dominating coins.

Ethereum (ETH) still on its streak of going up maybe going after an all new ATH. But the real competition starts with top 4 to 10 giving them more chance to gain resistance at this stagnant market. What are you guys trading today?  ???
Since bitcoin is just coming back up and there are some theory in some other exchange website that it will having a bull run again im still believe in it that bitcoin will comeback it into price where it belong and ofcourse ethereum is my second coin which is trust the most and other are just for my my daily basis earning which is good since we are still in the process of recovering and i don't have work to support my self i always base on the graph which is is going and has potential to be pump in the next day or maybe when i just follow my guts.

Myself was into ethereum trading. This time missed the opportunity and lost $50. Had one ethereum in my wallet. Kept hold of it for a long, and now sold when the price reached $1180. Once again made a buy order for $1100, but market kept rallying forward. Without going for a second thought just bought it again for $1230. As I bought without thinking of the $50 difference now I've booked the additional profit out of the growth happening with ethereum.

At the moment everyone is involved with btc and eth because of the fact that these two top coins move ahead of the market, yes, there are several other coins moving nicely but btc and eth have their own charm and for this reason they have over 88% of total market share which makes them extremely dominating coins.

Most projects that risen up are the DEFI projects. It wouldn't be too late to get into Defi if you really are up to trade and make money out of it. The crypto marcket cap is decreasing yet the prices of defi continue to rise.

The stagnant price of around 32,000 might just be a sign that the price of BTC will drop below $30,000. I couldn't be more sure but if it happens, then that's how the market goes.

I don't know you but it looks like somebody has been buying $ICX from Binance and withdrawing it until they have almost run out of them.

Only 5 coins left in their hot wallet. I suppose they will refill it soon with their reserves in the cold wallet, but the supply is not infinite... just saying  :D

You know now cryptocurrency are so volatile, which is better for trading from one exchange to another. Top altcoins pair rates are always the same, but the rest of the coins aren't the same. Actually, now I'm taking advantage of holding or trading bonuses. I don't trade by limited time, just buy and rewards hold it until the next pump.

Anything goes as long it’s going great. Right now I’m so focused on Ethereum more than other cryptocurrencies, I still have some of my Bitcoin after I sold a part of it earlier. I had to even sell three times lol; the price first reached $24000 and I sold a little part of it, cause I thought it would drop there , and when it got to $32000 I also sold, and then I sold at $41000. I don’t think I am going to sell the one remaining.

And then I also have money stored in Ethereum which I believe is still going to increase price as the alt period is approaching. I also plan to buy bitcoins if I get chances to grab the prices below $26k levels. Otherwise I will buy more above $36k levels.

I am currently investing in $PCX (XCHAIN) it is a project that will provide the link between $BTC and $DOT and $KSM and $DOT.
This is absolutely needed and will boom like crazy when it takes of.

Today has a marketcap of 40Mio but the potential is at lease 500Mio in the short term.

Hope this helps

I decide to take a break for a while after I bought bitcoin at $30k because I feel it is too difficult for me to continue trading. I do not have much experience in scalping or trade to follow the price moves, and I do not want to risk my funds. It is better to know ourselves than to get another difficult to make a profit. We should realize that we do not have to force ourselves to trade if we cannot continue to trade. If you realize that, you will have a chance to reduce the risk of losing the funds.

If I was still day trading these days, I would do Ethereum mostly in alt's side since it's the second I consider the most aside from Bitcoin.
Not sure for the other coins now these days though but Bitcoin's going crazy so I'll stick with it for now in long-term hodling.

Congrats. It had dumped to $29k and as of writing it's $32,800. And while with Ethereum, I think the lowest that I've seen with the most recent dump was $1,100 - $1,200.
And as of today's price, it is $1,333. Both are in profit if you someone had bought with those low levels a few days ago.

I was seriously considering betting against those crazy group from wallstreetbets. Can only recommend to check out their reddit. They are the cause for a mass lawsuit against Robinhood exchange and they are also behind the recent DOGE pump. I was considering placing a bet on the 3X DOGEBEAR but those people are just too crazy. No telling which price they will pump DOGE to. If you want action have a look at DOGE. There will definitely more price movement.

during these 2 weeks I no longer trade, I see altcoins have increased significantly so I plan to start trading when some altcoins have reached their ATH

Wouldn't be better to trade these coins before they reached their ATH? That would mean more profit right? Just like trading ETH (https://trade.kucoin.com/ETH-BTC) before it hit again another all time high.

Definitely crazy, within 24 hours DOGE pumped to nearly 200% after wallstreetbets tweeted about it. This pump was brought about because trading has been halted for GME. Just a couple of hours ago, Elon Musk tweeted and now its up to 400%! DOGE trading volume is now pouring and it will be interesting to see where this goes. When money goes in, its bound to go out somewhere. I'm already seeing a lot of green. For those who rode this DOGE pump better lock in some profits before the music stops.

Of course, the most significant thing today is DOGE, which unexpectedly can pump very high. I made a big profit today trading DOGE, because
I bought DOGE before when the price was still $ 0.002. And now, surprisingly, the price of DOGE has risen dramatically to $ 0.004. I am very happy
with DOGE's performance. Hopefully it can be followed by other coins, especially Bitcoin so that can return to prices above $ 40k again.

I am always been a bitcoin trader or what can say 50% holder and other half investor. However, since a month my eye balls have moved towards ETH specifically. This has happened when I saw the correlation between ETH and BTC broke out when the BTC was moving up and down. Since last week this observation is pretty clear to me that ETH no more depends on the BTC movements which we were used to think before for every altcoin out there.

Things are really different now, with this break up I guess ETH would be scavenging its hunger by it's own and thus leaves out many possibilities of going upwards. It's time to keep some ETH in your pocket today. I don't know but I feel like ETH gonna be 5-6 figues likes BTC did.

In recent days, I have only focused on monitoring the movement of the DOGE altcoin, I have noticed that the doge is experiencing growth because Today, I have sold some DOGE coins, and I will sell the rest when the price goes up again, I choose to sell some of my assets.  Because I believe DOGE will continue to rise, Today, I feel happy because I can take the advantage of the doge, I think it is very nice to trade with altcoins that are currently trending like DOGE,

Congratulation to you. Yes, dogecoin makes a noise in the market. I also sold some dogecoin and made a big profit. I think dogecoin will stay at the current price for a while and see if more supports come to the market. If that can happen, dogecoin will have a chance to break more than 200 satoshi. We already wait for a long time to back to make a big profit and now, our waiting time fills by selling some dogecoin, but I guess that many people sold all of their dogecoin and wait for a lower price.

The thing is, crypto market trickery is merciless you need to watch it cautiously and be refreshed routinely on the off chance that you would prefer not to lose your venture unexpectedly due to its unpredictability. Bitcoin strength will undoubtedly continue to drop that is to say, the cost of Bitcoin may drop somewhat further, anyway this is only an expectation on the grounds that Bitcoin will in general shock a great deal of times.

I would say bitcoin is definitely one of the best to invest even at this price, we are talking about bitcoin here and there is a reason why it is the number one crypto currency. However if you are not sure about bitcoin I can suggest ethereum, neo, ada, bnb, uni and tron for you.

Tron is a bit centralized because justin sun has a big power over it so I would try to be careful, bnb is a bit centralized as well because binance and mainly cz has a bit power over it as well, however rest of them are quite good, I still do like tron and bnb even with those centralization issues as well so I invested in all of these. They are not really brand new projects neither aside from uni, I invested into uni only because the idea was awesome, I am not sure anymore, even though it is getting attention, the eth fee situation may make it not loved anymore in the near future.

I am into Cardano(ADA) in the past weeks but now i have sold them all to look for another one , I mistakenly forgot about Dogecoin so i Missed the Run so what i have now is another challenging attempt to try either Polkadot(DOT) or maybe Litecoin(LTC) but still on the process of looking in to it and no decision clearly this far.
of course for daily trade, i trade major cryptocurrency with huge volume such as bitcoin and ethereum in major crypto exchange mate
because i trade to get more bitcoin and ethereum  ;)
Seriously ? how can you use a None Moving fast coins for daytrading ? lucky that today and yesterday Bitcoin and ethereum got a Move but in the last couple of days both are silent and how can a daytrade profit from that?

I stop trading Bitcoin and focus on trading Doge, TRX, XLM, and ADA. These altcoins have big potential to gain profits now, they are often pumped on the market. I just wait for the time when the price drops, then I buy as many as I need. To make profits, I don't need to wait for a long time because the prices mostly tend to increase now.

Those coins are moving good especially those who are working with short term trades.

Timing and enough patience, buy low then sell high it works if you pay attentions with news, do your research and make sure to follow
every information that may affects the market, most of the time news and social media influencers creates movements. Just like what happened currently.

It never really "depend" on bitcoin, it was just that when people go into crypto they go into everything and sometimes bitcoin went up and that made eth go up in fiat but that was it. People were free to change whatever they want in the situation but they didn't, they were happy with it.

However the moment bitcoin went down but ethereum investors said "we do not have to follow that fall" the connection broke finally and we realized we could be all independent from each other.

ETH has a huge upside in the future, in 1 to 2 years time we are going to see eth 2.0, not only will it be proof of stake, it will make fee's cheaper, a lot more people will use it, and miners who sell eth to pay electricity costs will not be there, it will be proof of stake instead and people who stake will keep on staking and add even their profits to stake more in order to profit more. This all will lead to ETH increasingly a lot.

As always, over the past six months of the year, the best results from cryptocurrency trading were brought for me by Bitcoin and Ethereum, given their three-day charts. Of course, with the help of Scalping you can get much more, but for this you need to constantly monitor the market.

https://medium.com/i-am-hapi/meet-hapi-use-case-2-b2c64b24faf9

After analyzing a lot of different smart contracts and hacker attacks and by using the best financial world practices, HAPI prepared a list of those methods and data, which are required by the DeFi at its current stage. They are building a protocol that will improve the security of decentralized apps (and centralized ones as well) using only the required data, analyzed in advance

THIS IS A GEM!!! $HAPI

If we talk about simple trading, then personally I prefer the largest and most liquid coins. If someone believes that the volatility on these coins is not high enough to engage in trading, then there is a simple way out - you need to use margin trading. Now it is available on almost all exchanges and you can increase the volatility of an asset by at least 100 times (I personally would not recommend doing this).

I get that everyone has their own things but when we are talking about "trading" you could do it with anything you want, literally any coin you want. Of course you should not pick any coin that would be destroyed by your presence, there are some coins that has such a low volume and liquidity that with few thousand dollars you could literally destroy the whole market and drop the price or increase it and you would be in big trouble.

But, if you pick any coin that would not be bothered by just few thousand dollars, you could get in there, trade within the spread and get out with profit. That is why it is always smarter to pick coins that are in the top 100, but any one of them would do. Why you could do it for any one of them? Because it is all about knowing how to trade, if you know how to trade you can do it with anything and make a profit.

Since the date @OP created a thread and now it seems that the Bullish trend is still happening. The news from Elon Musk confirms that nowadays so many people are increasingly confident in investing in cryptocurrency. they are all more certain now. All average altcoins have now scored new ATHs. like Ethereum trying to break 2,000 $. What do you think about Ethereum later?
I think the figure you mentioned about Ethereum is 2,000 $ in the near future to breakout. we see bitcoin still remains in a Bullish pattern. in the next 1 week if there is no positive sentiment I observe the market chart is still quite strong. it is possible for those who trade short to be able to keep installing SL because of the current high volume

the right choice, of course, what you will do, but we know that the price of bitcoin is quite high and we certainly need a lot of funds if you want to trade bitcoin. and bitcoin will continue to move as the effect of the new Halving begins.

actually altcoins are also currently growing well, we know that there are new altcoins that have grown directly into a good ranking position as well as old altcoins that have not been heard of now are also increasing and entering the ranks of good as well.

This indicates that the era of altcoin revival has begun to appear and it could be that this year will be the year of the revival of altcoin, so don't hesitate to also invest in altcoin and you will not lose.

as you can see, the price itself of BNB rapidly increase and i think BNB will become one of the top list to buy in 2021,
the volume and the value is very goodm the price will keep increasing in my opinion.
