I don't plan to be mean here, I'm just been honest, every persons that deposits into another person's wallet after importing their private keys are scammers themselves, they are simply trying to steal from the owner whereas the real owner is a smart king himself, what a sea of thieves conspiracy 🤷‍♂️

Why would I ever want to warn people about stealing what is not theirs? Such people deserves what they get because they are trying to steal too, if the ETH landed in the wallet they are ready to move out another person's assets, they got served right

That's Minerium airdrop you cannot withdraw it unless you invest in that coin but they are locked in a smart contract you cannot withdraw all of it, all I know is it will take 50 years before you can withdraw all those Minerium it's part of their promotion, basically, that wallet is useless and what's on it.

Seems to be minereum address but it is an old contract address. And so that is how the scammers are going to trap you here, giving you the private keys and depositing in them but you can't withdraw it. In any case, we all know that this true good to be true offers are a trap, so we should use our common sense so that we won't be the next victim here. And control our greed as well, there is no free money here, we should work our ass to make a lot of money (if that is your goal here.)

That's right, and I only give a little advice to those who don't know these kinds of things,
because wallet owners use it to trap people who still lack knowledge and knowledge in crypto.

I found this scheme before I think on year 2017 or 2018 and your right scammers use this to trap those people who think that they can withdraw the amount in the wallet and everyone should really need to take this seriously since this one scattered again. Good thing you open up this topic since it could raise awareness to the people who doesn't know about these scheme.

Yes, and I deliberately opened this topic for those who have not been aware of this kind of thing in the past and at this time, because nowadays there are still many newbies who are a little careless in seeing things so they are always victims of scammers continuously

IIRC its really an old scam technique!

You will be given a wallet which contains tokens with actual worth but there will be no ethereum for the gas fee so people will be depositing small amount of ETH with the greed of stealing all of them but their ethereum will be immediately move to a new address before the depositer notices it.

Strictly for greedy people out there  ;D  ;D ;D, I have come across this trick in 2019 and I saw many people that revealed they fall for this trick on telegram group, it's not good to be greedy you know, if you believe only in what you work for you won't want to take what's not yours

You're right, this is an old and smart way to make new people fool unfortunately some people still falling in this kind of scam and loosing their eth. Being greedy in crypto always brings loss, people must have to be aware and avoid this kind of tempted scams.

Not so old scam strategy but still many will be fooled by that because of greed. People who will actually look at that balance would think that it's a jackpot for them but they don't know that it's a bait for them to deposit ETH for the gas fees then eventually that deposit will be on withdrawal.
While the victim will attempt to withdraw the Minereum, the scammers will withdraw immediately the deposited Ethereum on it. Don't be greedy guys, there's no easy money even in crypto.

Shame, the minereum tokens they ate trying to withdraw is not even real, it's a scam project itself and very confusing too, I joined the airdrop a year ago and I have over 30,000 minereum in my wallet, till date I can't sell this tokens, it doesn't pays to be greedy

It's a hoax that not all individuals have enough experience to realize, things like this appear a lot in my personal wallet, and I've also met people who ask me about it. and can use it or not. It would be better if you research what it is, I think it's not going to be bad, but very helpful.
But I understand the main problem in the article is not like that, first in this space, tokens have value, but they are just virtual prices and there is no liquidity, wallets like these are just for the eye. Not much value, but many people don't realize that they are blinded by greed, and they will deposit and withdraw, but the coins are on that wallet. This scam is so predictable, but I still want to reiterate that minereum is better if you know what it is doing.

Might be old, but this is seldom used by scammers if I'm not mistaken.

And that's why the OP is giving us warning, I remember this kind of trick or similar one, wherein someone will make a loan and uses collateral of an old address of a token. And I think someone who lend here in the community fall for this trick until someone brought to the attention that it is a scam attempt. And in this case an old Minereum contract address being used by criminals.

It looks like that wallet already collected 2 ETH from many newbies that don't know that this wallet address is use to cheat many people .

Posting the address would help for others to know whats behind in this when they searching it in the web. I just wish people that saw the private key will first search it before sending any money so this wallet will not have victim again.

I know this scam and I have been approached many times by scammers asking for help. They generally ask you help in transferring Ethereum, they will say they are short on gas and want some eth to be transferred to the wallet for which they will pay you half of the balance. As soon as you transfer the wallet becomes empty. Stay away from such offers on Telegram as they are all scams

This is a perfect example of thieves that lays ambush to capture thieves like themselves, only greedy people will get caught and mostly newbies will lose their ETH because of this, even every 5$ to 10$ ETH sent to that address will make the culprit rich within a year and I heard this have been around for a very long time, wow

Creating a thread now may not actually save a newbies from falling for such scam but if they are lucky enough then this could fall into their google search so they can escape from the trap. Mistakes teaches us great lessons so one who don't want to become smart might lose their money to learn the mistakes should never be done.

One of the characteristics of scammers is always asking for a deposit, this is clearly just a con. usually they get our telegram username from the airdrop group, bounty group or anything related to cryptocurency. because they also infiltrated the group to make you destroyed. so be alert

I have encountered lots of fake Telegram groups already and this kind of strategy would only affect newbies. That's the reason why we're always advised to be smart and careful all the time. We should always be observant because scammers will always try to catch our attention and trap us in so many ways but we should always be smarter than them. Knowledge and enough information will always be the best weapon that we could have against them.

That's an old trick and the scammer was putting the code to make the ethereum that already sent to that address will be automatically withdrawn to the destination address,
I have ever seen that function before but I forgot what name of that function.
I guess it has ever explained on the ethereum stack developers about the name of the function. It's an old trick but that needs a high skill programming.

Be aware and not to fall right away, newbies needs to practice that kind of attitude. There are so many scam attempt that's really
tempting in your eyes.

Scammers are good providing alluring offers, and that's the right term they are very good catching out your attentions and once they
already seen that you are already falling they won't stop till they trapped you up.

Lol, I don't know why but this whole "telegram" groups are filled with scammers and spammers. Best to avoid them and join groups that are extremely trusted. If there are other options to join instead of telegram, join those.
Those who deposit coins on other wallet with the hope of "getting those tokens/balance" are plain stupid. They deserve to get scammed for being this idiot (and greedy). At least they are going to learn a lesson!

There is a proverb that goes ‘you cannot cheat an honest man’ and this is a perfect demonstration of that principle, it is obvious that if there is a private key out there with money in it and it has been out there for some time that this is a scam, the scammer will send your coins to another wallet as soon as you deposit in the wallet and he can do this faster than any human as he most likely has a bot that as soon as those coins get confirmed he will move them making lose those gullible people money in the process.

Every mediums had been infested out with scammers not only on telegram but also in other social media platforms as well which are pretty common.
I have seen this scheme before and just like what some dude or replies earlier that this wasnt so old and a bit new for some people and due to their
greed then it is just normal for them to deposit eth for them to pull out those shit tokens into that wallet address since they do know the PK
then thats just really a bait for someone to make or fill it up with ETH but sadly those would be sent out automatically or snipped out once
those coins credited into that wallet. What a wise thing that those scammers do invent on.

actually this is no longer a new way and I in 2017 saw a lot of private keys hanging around in telegram groups at that time, logically sane people would not give out their private keys because it was very secret, if something personal was published there would definitely be something afterwards, don't be greedy and be careful guys

I agree that anyone who tries to use private keys to access another person's wallet to get rich deserves to be scammed as well. What were they trying to do when they got their hands on that account? They were trying to scam that person as well, they wanted to make sure that they get in and take all the money in it and get out, that is what they wanted to do. What happened? They got in to scam but they got scammed instead. Hence why I think it is quite important that we do not let them know, let all those who want to use this private key to get access and get rich end up getting scammed instead, that way they would learn a very valuable lesson to not try to scam other people.

I can't feel sorry for anyone who got scammed on the way of scamming someone, this is a good method to scam anyone, only steal from people who want to steal from you and not from innocent people.

I don't think people should be surprised by this, and this is a lesson that Newbies to the space need to learn very fast, there is no free money anywhere, if your tokens is not in your wallet ,it is not your and never send your private keys to anyone. I want to enjoin you that they will be many good opportunities, so don't get greedy of gains, if it is too good to be true, it is not true.

I see in the picture are minereum tokens these coins are locked (by the way I have lots of does on my wallet LVL 1) you need to upgrade it to level 3 so you can transfer it to another wallet or to exchange it, even doe you have the private keys of this wallet it is still useless you can't move or trade this coin. In my opinion, this type of scam is still an old type that is still ongoing today. But the thing is we never lose the greedy people who easily believe the effort of these con scammers. There are so many new transaction recorded on the wallet that somehow it keep trying to transfer the token from the wallet by sending a little bit of ethereum for transaction fee.

It might be pointless to warn these people that if they were still greedy enough, it would become an undeniable part of human nature. OP, good job. Do more thing that benefit society even though in the end greed is hard to control.

Even if that is an old trick, that can works for the new people because they do not have the right information about that, and they can be easy to deposit on that wallet.
If they do not search for more information, it is hard for them to prevent scammers and lose their money.
People who are greed for making a profit instantly will also get into the trap without thinking too much if that is just a trick or real.
I hope that we do not get into that trick and we can protect ourselves from the scammers.

The most important point is not to rely entirely on Telegram. It so happened that scammers chose Telegram for their gray schemes. Well, beginners should generally use an Internet search to double-check information about any crypto projects. But if you listen to the advice of experienced users, you can avoid meeting with a scam.
