Title: Bitcoin prepaid/debit cards
Post by: visions-ri on January 30, 2021, 07:24:41 PM
I did a lot of research and I'm just not able to find a good prepaid or debit card that can be obtained anonymously and topped up using cryptocurrency.

https://ezzocard.com is the only one that is easy to obtain, but the downside is that you need to pay $71 for a $50 prepaid cards.

Everyone else that provides debit cards are asking for a verification.
It doesn't have to be plastic card, virtual will be just fine.

So, hopefully I missed some of those providers, and someone can point me in the right direction.

I'm not sure you can obtain such card without physical verification. I don't know much about ezzo card but so far as it visa card, they mostly requires it and this is the part of the thing they have to be in full compliance with before many of them are granted license. You can try https://crypto.com/en/cards.html they have various payment plan depending on your choice but you will need to select the one that goes with what you need it for. I know binance also offer cards but you can't have it anonymously

These are not reloadable and you don't say where you are located but if you are US based:
https://www.egifter.com/giftcards?search=visa
If you are not US based: https://www.coinsbee.com/en/VISA-bitcoin

If you want reloadable then as thesmallgod said you will have to do at least some basic KYC.
If you tell us where you are you can probably get more options.
Telling you about the BitPay visa is pointless if you are not US based.....

Thanks guys, I'm in Europe, and it really doesn't matter if they are reloadable or not, the important thing is that I can have them without KYC and that they can be used to buy stuff from Wish.com

If you live in the European Union, this prepaid card may interest you.
I think the cost for the prepaid card is 31% a lower commission than the one you found.

Thanks for the list!

It was only today I was checking out Nexo for their earning facility and I learned they
had a Mastercard backed Crypto card.

I think it will be difficult to get an "anonymous" crypto card, there is a big emphasis on
traceability especially when Visa and Mastercard are involved, although we can
all appreciate the benefits of not parting with our personal information.

"No, the Nexo.io Mastercard is not anonymous. Users of the Nexo platform must go through a full identity verification process before they’re able to access the services made available by the company."

There is no cards that are anonymous, there is a reason why people that are in pursued by the law is using cold hard cash instead of credit cards, they do not want their last location and possible whereabouts to be traced. The quote above gives a good website if you want to check it out, but no such thing as anonymous in credit cards or debit cards. The closest this cards could get anonymous is via identity theft which is an illegal thing to do, do not attempt.

For Europe I am aware that Wirex and Crypto.com provide cryptocurrency debit card. As per my information both Wirex and crypto.com will ask for you to get verified. I have not heard any company providing debit card or credit card for cryptocurrency without verification in Europe.

AFAIK there is no credit card company, cryptocurrency or fiat, is insane enough to do that, they need to track their customers so as their services are not used for illegal activities. As far as I am concerned, they need to cooperate with authorities or their businesses will paying for the backlash.

There have not been anonymity in the entire financial system and cryptocurrency too have lost is anonymousity due to involvement with banks and other central institutions. Card issuance have always been through verification be it plastic or virtual cards.

Anonymous - definitely not. But Binance has recently offered a prepaid card service. As well as services like QubeCard cooperate with exchanges to offer them too.

Bitnovo is the only good option in this entire thread, everything else needs verification, (lets assume you enter some fake name just to receive the card to some random address instead of yours) but how did you calculate that it is cheaper 31% . For example, you need to pay €25 for the card itself, then you need to top it up and they take 5% commission on the topup. So if you lets say, want to spend 50€ it will cost you 77.5€ . It will be cheaper on the next topup, because you don't need to buy the card next time but for the first use, it is more expensive than the one I have found.

I totally do not recommend using such cards (issued by PrepaidDigitalSolution).

They don't work 90% of the time and I tried many e-commerces, top-up bank accounts, buying gift cards, and other things. I finally gave up trying. Years ago I even got my Amazon account suspended immediately after using it.
It turns out that in fact they can only be used with a few merchants. It's not really possible to know exactly which ones, we only find out when we try. And when the card doesn't work you're still debited.

You can consider yourself lucky if you get support from them, and sometimes just to be able to log in to check your account

To give you a better idea, check out the reviews on Trustpilot, it will give you a better idea of what you will get. A total nightmare
https://trustpilot.com/review/www.prepaiddigitalsolutions.com
The company was fine years ago, but it's now totally a mess.

For @OP, as many others say, it's almost impossible nowadays, if I remember Bitnovo is the only solution but the drawback is it has a low limit (250€ max before a verification IIRC). If you have a second phone number it's probably possible to get a second card and so on.

Do you know that big list? Crypto Debit Cards (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5280997.msg55344782#msg55344782)

I don't have interest in crypto debit card and can not give you more info. You can read that topic and try to find what you are looking for.

Anonymous debit cards, that can be loaded with cryptocurrency are a thing of the past. I remember a lot of options being available in 2014 and 2015, but things started to get tight from 2016 onwards. The FinCen cracked down on providers of such cards and made KYC mandatory for physical (plastic) cards. You may still find such cards in sites such as Bitify, where they use stolen/hacked KYC information. But going for that option is extremely risky. And I haven't heard about Ezzocard before. So be very careful before using them.

And please go through this thread:

What you are looking for does not exist legally, all services that respect EU law/s must have KYC to prevent money laundering, tax evasion and terrorist financing. Of course there is a way to have a bank card completely without KYC, but it costs about 1000 EUR per year, and it's actually about using a card issued in someone else's name. What is disputable is whether such cards were made in agreement with the real owner, or whether it is the theft of personal documents.

Not to be confused, I do not offer any service of this type - I just comment that someone offers such a service on the forum.

Exactly. This is why you should avoid any service which provide credit/debit cards without requiring kyc otherwise you might end up scammed or with a card you can't use anywhere.
@Op, you can pay on wish.com with wish gift gards. On bitrefill, a 50€ gift card costs around 58€ and you can pay in bitcoin or other cryptos.

If I am not mistaken, Binance also offers a similar card, not sure how it works though. However, I'd rather use Revolut, or similar services such as N26, than this service. I really don't see a point in such a service. Personally, I transfer funds from Bitstamp to my Revolut account, then proceed to make any payments or withdrawal with the card I've been provided with (For free, and looks great btw).

Hi

These kind of cards are something that are not available at a beneficial rate everywhere around the world. Therefore I do think you will have a hard time finding a good one at the same time you have to make sure not to just believe in any company since it's a hard thing to find a reliable source.

I am glad that you found your answer, make sure to lock your topic if you are satisfied with it. Rest there are many other local sites offering a lot of crypto involvement but then again I never tried it , since it costs less than 8€ to encash and use the bitcoins or other cryptocurrencies. Maybe if the future when it will have some better benefits then only would I try and use it.

But be careful while using such methods to hide your topped up transactions since in reality there in nothing hidden here. It can be tracked way easier than you can think.
