Title: The day I entered the bitcoin market....
Post by: mr_ROBOTT on February 01, 2021, 08:27:59 AM
The day I entered the bitcoin market, I was twenty years old with very little money.
I had no one but a whole negative person waiting for me to fail and they would laugh at me and make fun of me.
But I wished .. A good life was my right .. I had suffered enough… So I learned at a young age .. I fell a lot…
I remember thinking that it's too late, everyone is making a profit, I have to hurry too… but then I realized that waiting is the biggest investment.
It's never too late for bitcoin ...
First, learn a little… When many still do not know what a wallet is, why do you want to risk your scarf?
Do not worry, the market is always there.
Instagram has a lot of tutorials that will help you
Take a month to observe the market and you can spend a very small amount and get training. ;)

Congratulations for being a patient investor, man. I hope all those who doubted you will recognise that they're wrong and not turn their backs on you.

I wouldn't get informed about Bitcoin from Instagram though, but from more reliable sources.

I never went to Instagram for tutorials, I didn't even know that there were many of them there. Mostly I've known them from the forum and by using google. Anyway, many have the same experience as you. Those people that doubted what you're planning to do with bitcoin before are probably waiting for you to give some share or at least wanting to have some taste with your profits. But sorry for them, it's your sweet profit that you should enjoy because you all deserve all the good things after going through many bears and dumps. Congrats man.

you are right Hodling and patience are important factors to realise early with Bitcoin.

So many newbies buy and sell at the least inopportune times.

Re: sourcing your information, its important to cross check what you read especially
when its from social media. It can be difficult because there is a lot of information out
there coming from Bitcoin lovers and haters.

I totally agree with you that it's never too late to enter Bitcoin but we also need to understand that it is not absolutely necessary for everyone to enter into Bitcoin market.
This is for those who read ls about Bitcoin price hike and out their everything to buy btc.
Do not buy more then you need.

You know for a fact, what helped you is the fire in you which kept burning for a taste of knowledge and new means to investments. It's at this point where, all the huddles set for you by the world through the people around you fails to hold you or make any serious damage to your progressive mindset. It then refines in you an idea more perfect than an octagonal diamond. The only thing it doesn't do for you is your ability to hold on to it and hold strong. Your results in the process does that, so, you've got to make sure your steps are well planned to archive desired results.

At twenty isn't a very bad place to start, many middle class Africans are still highly dependent on their parents and guidance at this age and this I say out of observation as an African myself.
It is a grabbing the bull by the horns what you did and if your able to hold firm, your ground breaking sound would be heard loud by those who mock you! All you've got to understand is, you don't have to prove it to anyone, just yourself. Let this be your guide!

Yeah, we can make the whole thing be working in one day especially when you are not truly prepared. In fact, I learn about crypto not so long but it is a matter of time when we have the courage to take the risk and enjoy the moment in learning because it soon it will be fine and those who laugh us will be the one asking how it does.
It is just like we sometimes fueled by negative friends and relatives, and we work hard in order to prove to them that they were wrong not us.
And patience must have we work out in order to succeed otherwise, a big fall will be on our side.

I support you, continue to do what's best for yourself, let them laugh, fuck it, one day they'll regret it, they all have to use Bitcoin or crypto.

There are always challenges, if we do good deeds let alone successful, the bottom line: keep trying, be careful when buying / selling, consider wisely, don't give up, 100 who mock 1000 who support you, good luck in the crypto world, I wish you 1-2 years in the future your fate will change completely, prove that you can.

yes I believe in perfect timing, there's no free in the world , sometimes it takes a lot of patience and courage in trading, because market is volatile we may be anxious sometimes because yesterday bitcoin is at 40,000 then in a blink of an eye it becomes 32,000 again , so this misfortune and failure that happen to us will be a lesson for tomorrow and will be our motivation to make our patience longer and make us to understand the market more.

I hope those people who entered to the bitcoin this year have positive thinking about bitcoin and if they have a little funds you can grow it if you are focus to do the bitcoin. Many people who have small capital before are now earning a lot of money because they have a lot of patience and also a hardwork to do this which is really helpful for you to earn money and to full fill your dreams bitcoin is here to achieve what you want to achieve in the future.

Without having patience in cryptocurrency industry makes your investments in trouble. They said experience is the best teacher and that is true. Curiousity and courage will also a great behaviour when dealing with Bitcoin so good for you to survive such harsh experiences mate and to be honest I am on your shoes too but just like you, I managed to prove them wrong.

Even this forum provides so much information to learn about the fundamental and basic things regarding bitcoin and everything related to it, just have to know which board to look for. in the early days I entered the bitcoin sphere, I remember watching a documented film about bitcoin; The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rise_and_Rise_of_Bitcoin) directed by Nicholas Mross, the film provides a number of basic information and descriptions about bitcoin and blockchain for beginners to understand, may also be suitable for those who are reluctant to read a lot of new things that may be difficult for the average person to understand.

Bitcoin those who invested on the dips and still doing it will continue making money. Initially I agree when it was not that popular and after 2017 people would laugh or say it is bubble but in 2020 , I feel dynamics have changed completely. Now it is like if you are not investing in it then you are missing the many things a such because it has a bright future for the growth and one you stay invested will end up making big in it.

Yea, I know exactly how you feel. I was the butt of the joke a few years ago.. when people around me started calling me "The Bitcoin guy" and they made nasty comments... saying that I will be losing my money on a "Ponzi" scheme.  ::)

Well, in 2017 ..those same people started asking me for advice on how to buy Bitcoin and where to store it. I gave them all the information and they never bought any bitcoins. If they did, they could have been very rich now.... but they were too chicken shit to risk it.  ;D

Now I laugh at them and make fun of them, because I gave them more than enough time to share in the spoils. ($41 000 per coin)  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Patience is the biggest test of this game. I had to admit that when the great Bitcoin crash happened in 2018 (from $19,783 to below $3,000), I told myself that I’ve got to hang on because I always believe in BTC. I put in my mind that Bitcoin has died many times, but always came back alive over and over again. Right now, look what it got us now. I just knew that one day, the institutions are going to embrace Bitcoin, and it finally happened (starting with JP Morgan, Paypal, etc.). This is where the momentum began and we are maintaining above $30k.

That's the spirit mate overcoming every obstacles in life is success I am happy that you have selected a right choice for future investment but make sure you won't get and struck and take decision with the help of Instagram, I guess Reddit is a good choice for crypto currency news where you get more informations.

Learn slowly and invest according to it don't rush and jump this will lead you to lose money, have patience like before BTC is a long journey more success to come on the way.

I feel you OP, we have the same experience before but I realize we need to stand strong and keep our faith. Negative thinking, FUD's, are only distractions to what we wanted to do. If we keep rejecting these things and surpass all of the tials, we can make better results, and that is what we supposed to do now.

I hope those people who entered to the bitcoin this year have positive thinking about bitcoin and if they have a little funds you can grow it if you are focus to do the bitcoin.
I look forward to seeing a better trend within this year. I know it was not a smooth market trend but I was believing that Bitcoin will even be more valuable than before.

I feel you OP, on the day that I've entered the cryptocurrency as well on the market, I don't really have that much knowledge about it and many people are saying to me that you will not gain anything in that bitcoin or cryptocurrency that you are talking about. All of the negative people even my own family doesn't believe me that I can make money all over this but I didn't discourage by them but I used this as my motivation to take the risk and go on to prove that they are wrong, and look at the bitcoin right now it is over a million peso. Those who doubt me are asking how it works, and because I proceed and continue this they are asking me how do I get over here.

I feel you learned the basic thing that one needs to understand patience worth. If we took the decision in hurry and watching others are making a good profit that certainly leads us to take a hasty step and we might end up at a loss. Patience pays here even one can learn many things from this forum as well as it's a rich source of knowledge about cryptos.

Being a resourceful and knows how to learn first before starting to invest is your key to success even at your very young age and I see that you are doing this so I am expecting that you are now earning a good amount of profit from crypto investments.

Unlike other investors out there that are very lazy in reading some tutorial and they didn't even like to learn the basics of crypto before they start to invest as most of them are just riding the hype of bitcoin and buy it but in the end, they will just say that bitcoin or crypto are scam especially if they can see that their portfolio is starting to decrease.

It is a very inspiring and encouraging story indeed specially for the fact that I have also experienced the same thing and I guess many of us in here do also share the same story that upon engaging into Bitcoin, many eyes are upon us wondering if we will have a future with it even our closest friends, family and relatives have no trust or belief that we can make it through upon getting along buying Bitcoin and investing our money into the belief that it will grow one day. All of those we have ignored and still pursue to get into this position we are in right now. All of those we have endured and still keep on what we believe is right for us. It is very promising to witness those people who have judged us on the old days of Bitcoin are now tagging along with us wanted to learn and engage with Bitcoin. All of the sacrifice and hard work have paid off and thanks to the reason that is because we did not stop believing on what we think is possible.

There are always negative people around us, but sometimes negative people like that can make us stronger. It is true that it is never too late
to invest in Bitcoin, because even if you start with a small capital. Then there will be an opportunity to make a profit. The most important thing is
we have to be patient to wait for the Bitcoin price to rise, because patience is the key to the success of investing in Bitcoin. And never stop learning
to get to know Bitcoin more, and also learn how to analyze the correct market. That way your abilities and experience will increase.

Strange that you learn things on Instagram, the videos there are pretty much limited to certain 30 seconds AFAIK. There are more things found on youtube than on Instagram actually, I can stare all day listening to those who speculate the prices of coins on youtube but will still miss the coins that actually moon the first. And its still patience that matters most when you are just up for long term investment. Congrats mr_ROBOTT.

I agree that it is never too late for bitcoin. If we want to invest in the long term, then choose bitcoin as an asset for the future. I first got into the cryptocurrency world in mid-2017. At that time I only traded short and medium term. By the time Bitcoin hit ATH in 2017-2018, I bought a lot of money. Suddenly the market is a dump and all the cryptos are going down. I panicked and sold at a huge loss. after 4 years to be precise in 2021, the value of bitcoin is higher than 4 years ago. So I learned that, even if the market is bearish, you have nothing to lose if you be patient to hold it in. Even a very large drop will return to higher ground for bitcoin.

indeed nothing is too late when you want to start with any circumstances. If you have any minimum capital you can manage it well.
You can invest and hold it until it reaches the price you have set.
All you need to do, you must also continue to learn how to be a good investor and become a trader who understands the bitcoin market.
Remember, not on Instagram you learn, but you can learn on this forum or you can learn on YouTube. Many tutorials will help you.
This forum is the main way for you to learn and know everything to become a great investor and trader.

There are many channels and pages on Instagram that give good training to newcomers for free or tell their audience important news about digital currencies.
Also, all those who enter this market and have the necessary knowledge deserve this benefit, so I congratulate you. ;)
I see so that's the same as the youtube presence for other good stuffs about tutorials related to bitcoin. It may somehow a bit off for me because I've sold some at the earliest but still managed to hold it as of now and will still hold to avoid the mistake that I did before.
But I've done that for good purpose and it was used properly, I guess. Well anyway, thank you and congrats to all of us.

Sometimes, we need to be patient at all and not regret it in the future.

If I'm I invested earlier when the bitcoin hit $3k in the market, I guess I can take now the profit more than I expected, but the fact we don't know that bitcoin will become bullish in the market or even get worst. If you see the price of bitcoin in the market as of this moment, you may regret if you will sell it before (just like me).

Congrats to OP because he can able to manage himself even there is a failure of bitcoin price, I suggest keeping it as much as you can.

you started at an age that is not too late or not too early but did you know that  most bitcoiners started late or when their age is over 20 and 30 years old ? but thats alright because atleast they still get a piece of what bitcoin is . you that are still young you are lucky so dont waste the time , accumulate more btc and  hodl tight .  dont spend on useless things and dont spend just because you are sorrounded by negative people that scares you that btc will fail . they know nothing in btc

its not strange because i.g has no difference to fb or twitter because its still a social media tho its rare when we hear people learn i.g because usually people learn on twitter and on youtube , some few are in fb groups .

That is the thing, many people do not come to this market thinking it is too late and that is not true, while it is impossible to know the number of bitcoin users that number is probably around 10 million users, when compared against the whole population of the world you realize that we have not reached even 1% of that number which means the potential for growth is still massive and if you buy now and you can keep holding your coins it is completely possible to make a 10x during the next decade.

I agree with what you are saying, especially about it's never too late for bitcoin.
As long as you can learn something new, which is a lesson about bitcoin and how to earn more bitcoin, and you do a good thing from that lesson, you will have a chance to earn bitcoin.
You do not need to ask when you can earn that bitcoin because that bitcoin will come to you at the right time and giving you a profit in bitcoin.
Many sources give a lesson to people, especially for people who want to improve their skills in what they believe.
You need to be patient and do not give up if you are not making a profit because if you still do whatever you think can give you what you want, it will happen someday.

Congratulations for being a patient investor, man. I hope all those who doubted you will recognise that they're wrong and not turn their backs on you.

That's a prime example of how patience pays off. Though, I can see why others would think that this is going to end in a loss especially if they need the money fast. The only reason you managed to turn profit is because you waited years to reap the benefits others are expecting a faster turnaround. It's a lesson worth remembering and referring to...

I always say the one who wants will always achieve it!! Well done, you did a great job!

When I first invested in bitcoin I was 21 years old. I didn't really understand anything in this area then, but my friends helped me. I also read a lot of articles, posts and books on the topic of bitcoin and the exchange and it helped me a lot. I highly recommend going to the EXMO website and reading articles on the topic of bitcoin there, especially for beginners. I recently found these and got stuck reading.  ;D ;D

The most important thing is to be more interested in and learn about the world of cryptocurrency. It's very interesting and useful!

Struggle is always there in our lives no matter if it is for Bitcoin or for anything else. It's present in the core of a human's life. But, this Bitcoin thing is an amazing thing and when you know it deeply you know everything. It requires time and effort to understand this thing.

In fact, I hope that everyone in this market will experience patience. Only by waiting can we really succeed and know about the market and how the conditions are.
I also hope that one day all these people will enter the world with the understanding that success is constructive and only requires effort.
unfortunately many newbies are in a hurry and want instant profit. so choose the shortcut by obeying other people's investment calls with 100% returns in no time. we must really know that the cryptocurrency market is very volatile, it takes in-depth analysis to be able to get a profit.
if we are in a hurry, it will only make us trapped in mistakes, such as being trapped in a scam, being led by Fomo, and finally losing.
concern for basic knowledge is very important, enjoy the process and don't give up easily. the road to success is not easy, being patient and continuing to learn to correct mistakes is the winner.

First, learn a little… When many still do not know what a wallet is, why do you want to risk your scarf?

wallet is an easy to understand word and everybody knows a wallet but a crypto wallet can be hard to learn to some . you dont need to wait for others to know what a crypto wallet is before you join the trend because at the moment when many are already aware the price of the coins are already on its peak but the goal here in crypto is you need to act fast and invest as early as possible before anyone else notice the coin that your trying to get in because once its boom your already inside it .

Well that is true, people wants to earn in the fastest way and that is the reason why Most of them started to love crypto at first and then at the end they will hate crypto. Maybe it is normal if we are still newbie that we got a little patience only at everything we do so if in trading even we only experience less than 10% loss we will cut loss immediately. This thing will be learned as time passes by only if we realize what fault did we make.

The official launch of Bitcoin occurred on January 3, 2009. From that date until now the mission of bitcoin has reached people who have believed in the network.
Resulting in a change in their lives, anyone can participate and invest, there is no distinction of any kind and opportunities are open to everyone.

How easy it was for OP to get into bitcoin is some of the reasons why it dominates the crypto market.
Congratulations OP, for giving you the opportunity to know the benefits of using bitcoin.

Do not worry, the market is always there.
Instagram has a lot of tutorials that will help you
Take a month to observe the market and you can spend a very small amount and get training. ;)
Yeah, it’s never late because as long as the halving continues I believe that we will keep on hitting a new milestone every four years or so, and some people don’t know this yet and that’s why they are being reluctant and don’t want to invest in Bitcoin , they don’t know that there is a good time for them to buy this asset which is now.

As for some of them the problem they are having is that they don’t want an investment or business that will take long for them to make profit from it. I have seen so many people who talk to me about Bitcoin and their main target is to make money immediately and become rich, because they have heard and read about others that became millionaires through Bitcoin.

I never went to Instagram for tutorials, I didn't even know that there were many of them there. Mostly I've known them from the forum and by using google.

Same experience. I am not familiar with Instagram containing cryptocurrency topics (since I don't open Instaram that much), but maybe there were few accounts intended to post for something like that. I also look into forums and websites which I think is more reliable if I want to learn more about Bitcoin and crypto. Since there are many social media platforms now talking about bitcoin, social media may be one of reliable source of knowledge. Just always make sure that the accounts you follow and read articles to is reliable too, of course.

Well, I believe it depends on each person how they did found out about crypto, and all matters that you apply to yourself what you have learned from those.

The day I started Bitcoin is when it only has a price of $12,000 and it is very low if we compare it to its price right now. I think it is about december 2019 and I only have small amount of money on that time. I really regret that I didn't invested on the day I knew about bitcoin and the reason is doubt. I doubt about it because when my friend tells me about that, it sounds like impossible and I don't want to put my money on waste because I don't have much but my friend who tells me about the bitcoin is much more worse than me but he manage to put all his money on bitcoin and now he has a better life. I hope that my doubt didn't ate me at that time because if I trusted my friend, I will surely be having a good life now.

That's the kind of mindset that all of the people should have if they are thinking about engaging the cryptocurrency world, because that's the main reason why most of them stop continuing to study about Bitcoin, they think it's too late for them even if the the truth is not. As long as the remaining numbers of Bitcoin is yet still to be mine, price will continue to move upwards making investors get their profits no matter what timeframe did they enter the market.

So simple analysation, and yet many people still failed to do that.

The day I enter the Bitcoin or crypto currency I only have few knowledge about it but I was eager and really fascinated by it,
I also have only couple of money to invest in it so I work hard and tried all the free site that I could to accumulate as much as I could to show my friends and family that I could earn on the internet and to prove to them that it isn't scam.
Most of them think that it was a scam and I am just wasting my time on it instead of focusing on my job.

Proving this technology's reputation is quite of a waste of time. Whether for them to believe or not, that would be subjective. To share what you know is indeed a good thing but to put that much effort to convince them I think, won't be worthy. If they happened to believe in what you will say, you will be blamed if they lose profit and will rely to your actions most of the time. This market is hard to predict and there just times wherein the market prices of crypto are falling in a sudden. The right thing during these times is to hold, but keep in mind that not all people will risk their money to earn big time.

When you invest in Crypto you're making the right choice, in the end scarcity will overcome those centralized paper money that can be manipulated through extreme quantitative easing. Us Crypto Enthusiast will get the last laugh in the end, once adoption and institutional money flood the markets because the traditional markets is failing due to inflation. Bitcoin will serve as hedge and safe haven.

While your statement is accurate, we should try to always look at the real reason behind the creation of bitcoin and keep aside the speculative aspect of the coin. The market exited because the fiat system has failed us. The bankers and government collide to defraud the average users while they benefits without any much or zero stress.

If we want to improve on the technology then we have to encourage more usage by promoting users to this utilities of the technology and reducing the attention given to the price which is why many are worried of the market bursting anything soon.

Well, why you can't focus while investing in bitcoin and your job? are they in conflict with each other?
However, you are still lucky that at a young age of bitcoin you know them earlier, if I know bitcoin earlier, perhaps I also invested in bitcoin and holding a whole number of them. Unfortunately, I knew bitcoin in 2017 when Bullrun has come and the bitcoin was very popular and at that time I started being curious about what is bitcoin, until the day I found out about this forum and invested in bitcoin too but only a fraction number.

This is the thing with bitcoin, hold it enough time and you will get profits but many people do not care about waiting for a long time to get profits, they want profits now and that is a dangerous attitude to have in a market that is so volatile, this is why those that bought bitcoin at the end of 2017 lost so much money, they had no intention to buy and hold their bitcoin, at worst they expected to hold their bitcoin for a few weeks or months only to be surprised by the unexpected crash and then sell for a loss.

The mindset that people gives off when talking about bitcoin is always bad due to it being a digital asset. When I've started my bitcoin career, people tend to tell me bad things such as I'm a hacker or some shit like that as I've been earning money online, this also comes with scams, phishing and ponzi up until bitcoin appeared on news and different social media platforms. People has a low capacity that there's a variety of ways of earning other than the regular jobs that we are used to. Anways, that was my story when I started earning through bitcoin.
What I can say to you is that, there is never a good timing on joining the crypto world other than now. No one can predict what will happen to bitcoin and other crypto but you may lose the chance if you don't try. Someone told me that it's too late for them to join back when bitcoin hits 20k$ but right now he's earning a lot and has a business, does trading and has many digital assets other than bitcoin. It's never too late to join crypto especially that it can be a currency of the future.

At the time of writing, the price of bitcoin is $39,500 and the coin is going towards $50,000 in 2021. As we all know, the total supply of bitcoin is limited to 21 million BTC but the demand of bitcoins is not.
As many have already said, holding it for a long time is the best and the most profitable way to invest in bitcoin but the market can change over time and so does bitcoin.

Holding for long term is the best strategy when investing in bitcoin, however, you have to be aware of the possible correction and bear market, it could happen anytime so your patience will be tested and you need to make sure you can stand and survive so you'll be able to enjoy tomorrow.

Bitcoin has reached $40k, not too far from reaching $100k soon, but don't expect it will right away reach that price, as what I've said, correction is necessary and it will happen.

Yes, these price drops are a natural and necessary part of any asset. However, the Bitcoin price is still up over 500% since last year's low, so any decent size Bitcoin price correction should be greeted as an opportunity to buy more coins.

Being patient is the strategy on crypto investment. But you also have to bear in mind that no matter how patient you are, when there is a correction, you should know how to handle the situation. It takes a long time to bullrun and really we cannot predict the future.

Good for you, that's really worthy of respect! I think many people, who were into cryptocurrencies at the beginning suffered from accusations and mockery. It's good that those same people came asking you around about Bitcoin, another matter that they didn't have the guts to buy some, but at least they admitted that they were wrong.

Many of my acquaintances (especially elder ones) to this day believe that they were right and someday the "bubble" will burst. Probably even looking forward to it  :'(

My first BTC transaction was in October 2015. I used a blockchain.info wallet.
I bought bitcoin p2p from a random website before I knew about bitcoin exchange markets.
I used that bitcoin for MMM Global. If you are from Russia, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, I believe you know that ponzi schemed program.
IIRC We could get 10% - 30% from our initial "investment" in a month. 2-3 months after I joined, problems come, and it stops paying. It's bad, right?

But, thanks to that ponzi and scam program because it introduced me to bitcoin.
I started trading bitcoin since then, learn more about bitcoin, created a website to introduce blockchain and cryptocurrency in my local language, and influence my friends to start their journey with cryptocurrency.

Patience is a great virtue that anyone can posses. This is what made the difference for you and the fact that you were determined and never afraid of failing is a ladder to greatness. You just have to know what you are investing into and why you are doing so. New people will come and they will have to go through the same process. No late Comer here.

I will have to disagree with that, patience is in a very short supply especially in this particular era, thanks to our technological advances many people are not developing the art of being patient, they want everything and they want it now, and if you do not believe me try to get a person to not use their smart phone for an hour, they cannot take to be without their smart phones for that long because they think they're going to miss something important, and since most people have that mentality today and that mentality doesn't really match the one that a successful investor must have you know that the majority of them are going to fail if they try to invest in this market.

Yep, in 2019 ponzi schemes has become rampant again in the Philippines, and guess what they were using as their reason for sustainability that time, yes Bitcoin and even ETH. So, that's how a lot of people heard about Bitcoin atleast here at my local place.

But, thanks to that ponzi and scam program because it introduced me to bitcoin.
I started trading bitcoin since then, learn more about bitcoin, created a website to introduce blockchain and cryptocurrency in my local language, and influence my friends to start their journey with cryptocurrency.
Well, not all of people have the same mentality as you. Most of the people in my place only think Bitcoin as a way to become rich overnight by joining a ponzi scheme group.
But, Im glad you have made influence to others who might think Bitcoin is another ponzi or scam.
