Title: Question about that threads that have been moved to Investigations board.
Post by: logfiles on February 02, 2021, 07:25:48 PM
There was a scam accusation (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5313482) which was being resolved but after a while, it got moved to the investigations board before the accuser and accused updated on what's going on.

From what I understand, Threads that contain sensitive information belong there and low ranked accounts are restricted from using the investigation board

The accused sent me a PM saying his posts had disappeared from the thread which made me to think that maybe both parties are now unable to reply the thread because it was moved to a board with restrictions.

1. How can we get both parties to resolve the ongoing dispute in the best way now that they can't use the thread?

They can create and use a thread in Scam Accusations and link to the thread in Investigations. They just can't post identifying info outside of Investigations. But if the conflict is being resolved then perhaps the Investigations thread should be removed altogether or at least the personal info should be edited out.

One of the image (the link that has conversation log) has picture and ID. I believe this is the reason to move the topic to the investigation board. Obviously keeping them in a public board is not something the forum practice.

About the accuser or accused party if they are below member rank then they will need an assistant from a user who can access the board.
