You never used a forum?
It's a personal space in which you can include a link, a quotation, a message, or anything you want
(Profile -> Forum Profile Information)

You can use it to say something about you, your favorite quote, your blog link, underwear size. Many things to think about.

Anyway, since you're a newbie you can not use the feature I think unless you pay for the 'copper' membership.
Or you're limited if it's still up to date
Perhaps the allowed signature styling should change with activity score / membergroup. Like:
- Newbie: No styling (including links) allowed. Max 40 characters.
- Jr. Member: Links allowed. Max 100 characters.
- Member: Unlimited length.
- Full: Color allowed.
- Sr. Member: Size allowed
- Hero: Background color allowed

Then newbies will be less effective advertisers, which would hopefully significantly reduce the incentive for low-content posts. And when people become capable of effectively advertising through their signatures, they'll have invested a lot of time into their accounts, and they won't risk being banned by spamming.

You have answers but if you have more questions, please read and use Search feature first.

With basic questions, if you search, you can quickly find answers and don't have to wait for replies from community. You can expand your learning progress with Searching.

More properly, iirc, the user cannot put there anything else than short plain text if he's newbie.
In time, with more and better posts, while ranking up, the signatures are getting allowed to get bigger, nicer, colored, with links, ...

Indeed, copper membership can allow some more for styling, but still not the "full package", from what it tells here:

Additionally (and these might change depending on how things go), Copper Members currently have these bonuses:

- Some of the same permissions as Member-rank members, such as reduced signature styling restrictions.

Refer to the following thread that LeGaulois posted and read the second comment that I've posted there [apart from its outdated styling rules, everything else is still valid].

Unfortunately, it's a little bit outdated. The "signature section" no longer exists for Newbie ranks...
- I've taken a screenshot and "highlighted the missing section (https://i.imgur.com/hLXdI7A.jpg)" in the profile section of my newbie alt account.
