Title: Transfering XMY
Post by: tjcvva on February 07, 2021, 02:01:57 PM
I have some XMY's in a wallet of cryptap.us since 2017 and I can't transfer them. The name of the site in now cryptapus.org but I get the message "press OK to send the message to https://cryptap.us/myr/pushtx/index.php" but after ENTER I receive the message "cryptapus.org reports:  Something went wrong". How can I transfer my XMY which are created in a wallet in cryptap.us?

Have you contacted the support service of the website? That would be your best bet at recovering your funds stuck there or importing it into another compatible wallet.

The wallet is relatively unknown to me; what I could find besides the website is this bitcointalk thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=702983.msg7947080#msg7947080) which hasn't been posted in for a while now, started by user cryptapus (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=249408), although the account was registered in 2014, and you claim the website only changed name recently.

XMY by myriad coin? If you have saved the back up codes or seed phrase or private key you can recover it to another wallet by importing your seeds but if you are not holding any backup its impossible to recover your wallet.

cryptapus's representative here seems to be fairly active even in the myriad coin thread. So i think chances are very high that he will help you out on how to transfer out the XMY coins once you message him.
Another avenue you can use for asking solutions is; https://www.reddit.com/r/myriadcoin

Since 2017 till now is a very long time and many changes might have happened within the platform, therefore your best chance of recovering your XMY is by writing to the customer care to see how best they can help. Challenges and issues like this are the reason why it is always advisable and wise to ensure you store your coins and tokens in private wallets which will give you the opportunity to hold and secure your private keys, such that, anyday, anyplace and anytime, you can access your wallet easily. Bearing that it mind, it reminds me; if you had ever at one point stored the private keys or mnemonic phrases from that platform or website then you can easily import the wallet to any XMY supported wallet applications.

Many thanks for the reactions. It sure is some time ago, but I had forgotten them (how could I?). I have all the information/codes, but apperently it goes wrong because of the changed site. Does anyone know where to reach someone from cryptapus.org?

Greetings!

I have responded here with hopefully helpful instructions... This particular wallet has moved to github pages.
