Title: Converting M.2 slots to PCI-E on Asus Z370-E
Post by: mantonio333 on February 07, 2021, 08:22:05 PM
Can I convert BOTH of the M.2 slots to PCI-E on the Asus Z370-E?

I read from the website below that only one can be used for GPU:
https://www.coinsuggest.com/gpu-mining-motherboards/

It's not really clear to me based on how they described it:
"There are two m.2 slots from which one can be used for PCIe SSD & one can be used for GPU"

Is one M.2 slot dedicated for SSD specifically or can you use both M.2 slots for GPU?

After looking at the Asus E370-E it shows both m.2 are pcie 3.0
One can be Sata but it doesnt state they both cant be pcie.  Ive got several of these adapters on Z170a pc mate boards and they work.  But those little boards only have a single m.2

Dont use Sata 1 if you use the m.2 per your manual.

I was planning to use both M.2 slots for two more GPU's using this converter:

Good to know though about the SATA limitations, almost missed that!
