Am looking in investing into few DeFi Projects that are starting now, or are considered new, that have not had an increase yet.

Up to now, I have heard about the following:

Raave
Cartesi

What's your input in this?

Any recommendations?

Obviously higher the risk, higher the reward.

Never heard about raaven before but Cartesi is well known on this forum and outside this forum, it's a good DeFi project just like few others, I don't like recommending DeFi projects to people because they are even more risky than other, also I will like to advice you not to invest in a DeFi project because people recommend them to you, you got to do your own research, here are other few I like, Paid Network, DIA, Polkadot and Avalanche

Im not sure about this but the majority of defi projects already increased a lot.

This is my opinion and there are some defi that's still worth to invest.

4. Sovryn (first defi on BTC chain)
5. SXP
6. Balancer


IMO if those projects were having very good fundamental and the product already developed and it's used by a lot of people too. DYOR is a must.

Have you checked about IOI - Trade Race Manager?

None. DeFi is a MASSIVE scam that so many people seem to have no clue about.  It amazes me how many people fail to do any homework at all when it comes to buying investments.  Smart Contracts are no where near advanced enough for DeFi to actually work as they want it to.  It's all smoke and mirrors right now and there's no if's, ands, or buts about it.

Now I'm not saying you can't make money of these scams, just as those did with Bitconnect.  But, it's a scam nonetheless, and it will all come crashing down before long.  

I do expect smart contracts to one day make big changes in the finance world, but that day is not now.

You can take a look at CAKE, the PancakeSwap's native token. I first noticed it when it was around $1 and it has already appreciated in price since then. That might not be part of your criteria but check out it's market cap first before writing it off. It's under $700M and there's still a lot of room to grow. Not that I needed to mention it but their product is already working.

Thanks for mentioning Cartesi, as I wanted some reassurance before investing. Thankfully I did so before the latest events (huge 300+% increase).


Does anyone have some knowledge of DeFi projects that seem to be good but are undervalued?

Would appreciate your thoughts.

What I found the past two days is an old project which is trying to get listed on Bitfinex according to their admin on telegram group. The coin is called Blocknet and dates back from 2014. It had huge gains today with 60% increase but is just the beginning.

Cartesi is good and there are many more good DeFi projects out there, for example DIA, Chainlink, DOT, UNI, and Avalanche, these are big boys of DeFi platforms, they mean strict business and they have good reputation to protect too

Since you talked about new DeFi project there is no need to mention the best DeFi projects right now, check out AnRkey, inverse and option room, it's better to do research first but all these projects met my own standard, this isn't a investment advice though, dyor

The hype around Sovryn is amazing but they have gone pass the whitelist through to public crowdsale soon and can only be seen on exchange in few more weeks from now. New interested individuals should pick up early from exchanges by next month. I feel the idea of bitcoin for Defi is so attractive and the use of other blockchain could reduce transaction fee

right now i'm looking at some upcoming DeFi projects, one of which is Juiceswap.
Juiceswap is an already fully functioning project complete with staking, yield farming, a non-fungible token market and a decentralized exchange. Launched in January 2021, JuiceSwap uses the principle of automatic market makers, or algorithmic trading.

DeFi projects are over supplied and the market does not need more. I realize that need or does not need more, more DeFi projects will be launched as it is an easy trend to create new projects, catch capital from the crowd, play some dump and pump rounds. After that, developers have gotten enough money and they have many reasons to abandon their projects and wait for other trends.

Try to upgrade projects, create new products, build up communities are more difficult and create a totally new and make some fake development activities.

I won't imagine how DeFi trend will end with many successful and active projects.

In reality no one recommend the upcoming defi token because of many scam projects also available in the market.

In this site we see number of defi projects and I never put my thoughts in these kind of tokens. My only recommend is must read the OP post then plan decide the Defi projects.

Too many upcoming DeFi at the moment, not sure why its so hyped. But take a look for Yield.app or Sovryn, maybe its promising enough  ;D

I support both. just hope the best for both projects. but now we've seen some scam DeFi projects. hopefully, there won't be more scam projects. because it could end DeFi's popularity in the crypto market today.

I have two coins that I like very much right now and I have made a good profit from them as well, both of them are on binance smart chain as well.

One of them is pancakeswap which has a claim to become the uniswap (or any swap) of binance, uniswap type of stuff are on ethereum chain and the costs of moving things around there are now 30+ dollars and even 50+ dollars, whereas in binance it is 25 cents, which is why pancakeswap is much better, you move binance tokens around and just pay 25 cents which is why it is better and the way to do it is use pancakeswap (there are other swaps but the most used one is pancake right now).

Second one is algo stable currency bdollar, that is something that gives you yearly good returns and it is a stable one, so you both have a stable currency and also make a decent return like bank savings account but much better rates.

I think projects on BNB and on Huobi (HECO) can also show good results in the near future. Defi is, in principle, a promising undertaking, but it is no longer talked about as much as before. In pursuit for income, you can stop controlling the situation. Therefore, you should not invest all your funds in Defi.

Now there are so many defi projects coming out that you can make a mistake , I would advise you to understand this topic yourself and not wait for advice from the community, they are often distorted, study this or that project yourself and make an informed decision.

People should be very careful when investing in defi projects, they are highly risky and most times, the risk is not always worth to take, most defi project use the fact that they are building a decentralized platform to stay anonymous and most scammers have seen this as an opportunity to scam unsuspecting victims.
Ive invested in a few defi projects last year and they all turned sow, even though they were looking very bright at the very beginning, so one can never predict this defi stuffs.

the higher the risk, the higher the reward and the higher the loss. So rethink that before making the decision to invest in a new defi project. In fact I also want to recommend the Sovryn project and keep in mind that I say this not because I am one of the promoters of their project, but about how the development of this project is primarily about its product. , I've researched it before and for me personally it's a good Defi project. in fact i have bought some of these coins too. Related to that, from several lists of defi coins that you have mentioned above. I know very little about Cartesi. If I'm not mistaken this project is managed by Buballex's manager, it doesn't seem bad to invest in it.

I would suggest to stick with the already proven and established defi projects because there are many scammers trying to take advantage from this defi trend. Obviously if a new project stands out of the rest then we can consider but i do not see any new defi project recently that looks good.

Agree this, just spare some of  your investment to this DeFi things, market on this DeFi become irrational sometimes.
In my group, some of the people are do random trading on Dex and doesnt matter the high gas fee hurt them in hope they will got surprise airdrop  from a DeFi project in the future, its crazy.

maybe they try their luck with a random Defi project. actually there is nothing wrong with it because they are the ones who decide, they must also be prepared to accept every risk as well. but I completely agree with you guys not to spend money just to invest in the Defi project.

Anything that's even tangent with Polkadot.

Cartesi is not a Defi project but just want to adopting some defi idea to improve their tokenomics. The product is mostly used by companies not individuals

There's a lot of defi project these days so before investing into it, it is a must to do your own research. As I've read above, pancake is also a good choice I invest into this project below $1, and seeing it is continues growing makes a surprise to those who hold and do the staking into their platform. If you do a survey, a lot of opportunities to earn  in their platform through staking cake and earn some coins there. Many new defi projects so to have a choice dyor first.

Agreed, Cartesi is much more focusing to provide the infrastructure for the company or new developers to be able issue their smartcontract through ruby or use alternative side chain.
That can't be considered as a defi platform but cartesi was a protocol consider it was building the infrastructure to make the entities will be much more easiers to issue the smartcontract.

I would recommend GET Protocol

This project (although alround now for a few years) is gaining traction the past weeks. Why?

Most important reason is that they have managed to effectively eliminate scalpers from the ticket market by issuing smart tickets on the ethereum network. None of the to date 600.000 issued tickets were scalped.
Second reason is the DeFi part: most event organisers / artists struggle when it comes to event financing. Get Protocol will introduce a defi module in that makes it possible to invest in events and gain money from it starting from Q2 2021! In my opinion this is a very cool and valid usecase of the possibilities of defi.

I can't see any new promising DeFi projects than what we've already seen since 2020 and earlier this year, projects like DOT, Avalanche, LINK, DIA, Cartesi, Ferrum Network,UNI, Sushi are all good, you don't want to invest only on DeFi projects I hope? Can't put your eggs in a single basket

The problem is that I did not invest in any DeFi projects up to this point, as I believed mostly in the old projects of prior 2018.

On the other hand, I don't wont to invest in any projects that have already gone up x5 or x10 or even worse x30 like Cardano and UNI.

Projects like Cartesi are fairly new and undervalued. Now with the support of BitBoy as an advisor, its more likely gonna skyrocket.. looking for more similar coins that have not got the attention that they should have.

*I don't see any great potential in this latest DeFi project...
DeFi season seems ended soon, enthusiasts have started to leave because it didn't really make a good profit. if you are a new player who is just interested in DeFi you should think again about your plans back.

There are many good DeFi projects already listed and there are many protential projects that are not listed yet. Personally, I have a lot of faith in the DeFi project. Feel free to invest in the following DeFi project.

3. Radix
4. Manta Network
5. Finxflo

DeFi is the most risky so I've learned to limit my risk by going for old DeFi projects only, the only new DeFi projects i invested on are DOT and Avalanche, others are old DeFi projects, can't be too careful around DeFi this days

Nowadays many defi projects are coming and this is a big headache if any wants to invest in any defi project because of a vast number. Cartesi is also one of the best examples of successful defi project which you can go through but in my opinion, I would also recommend Dego Finance to look out once. Its price is decent and the trading volume on the exchange is also big.
 

Cartesi is not an upcoming project, Cartesi is up and running projects. One thing I want people to understand is that you don't need to invest in new DEFI projects to make money in the space, the most important thing is to find projects you feel are undervalued and invest into them, thee are quite few of them left in the market go look for them

Some altcoins that you can choose the Defi project. because nowadays there are so many developers who are doing development in DeFi I think you have to be more selective in choosing yourself

Don't take risks if you are not ready to lose your money on a new project. There is a huge scam risk for new altcoins. minimum trust in the market and also high liquidity for you to choose

Upcoming is a very difficult thing to decide, it is usually very difficult to decide which ones are going to be good without them ever being in existence, I rather not put my money into them. And most of these coins are "upcoming" in the sense that what people believe would go up in the future but they are all in existence as well so they are not really that shocking to many people.

Anything that is in the existence right now will go up a bit more than the average at the very best, and it will not go up like it has never been here at all. Any coin that is not in existence right now will have a chance to either 10x or maybe become worthless and we will not know that. I like few tokens myself but I can't really advice them to other people because I do not know what they will do.

DeFi certainly has a huge potential for development! It is right to be interested in new startups and expect new ideas and projects. DeFi is an ideal candidate for investment in 2021. What is appealing to me is that this industry requires little capital. Its transactions are instant and do not need to be initiated by a third party. At the moment I am sympathetic to Binance Smart Chain! (cake, bake and other)

Do you recommend any new coins?

Try watching out NFTs, It's on a trend now and making pre-sale investors a lot of profit especially if it is tied with a good exchange. Though we should be careful to other existing Defi tokens, Hackers are eyeing out Defi tokens like what recently happened to CAKE  yesterday.

I believe that it is necessary to participate in IDO that are held on decentralized exchanges, this will give you the opportunity to buy coins at a minimum price. If you get into the Whitelist, such coins can bring a profit of 1000-10000% within a short period of time. Have been buying and selling into Cartesi for some time now, which came out good.

But have not found other coins that have the boost Cartesi has and its potential.
