I can't find any concrete proof of it?
Just hype machines going off full throttle?!

When you do see some recent news about big personalities or big companies integrate or considered bitcoin then you would really expect that there would be some follow ups
or rumors that other known companies would the the same step but as long we wont really be hearing out some word from them then just take in a pinch of salt.

It’s just cheap, easy media headlines. Some journalists really are trash & get paid for nothing. Apple may or may not be buying bitcoin but until they confirm that they have it’s just pointless speculation.

They could buy Bitcoin any time, so I think you should not expect any solid proof of it. I mean even Tesla didn't announce that they will buy Bitcoin until last day, if I'm not mistaken. They just dropped and tweet a lot of interest about buying bitcoin in Twitter, and I think being curious about something is more than enough already to assume 60% that they will surely buy it in their own timeline whenever they feel it is the right moment for them to do so.

If you read the articles written about this topic, it's all theoretical stuff and there's zero proof whatsoever. These "news websites" are just taking advantage of some people's ignorance because some people have been sharing these articles saying that Apple is actually going to buy bitcoin(even if there's zero proof).

Could have been ammo for a possible attempt at a pump and dump (which went horribly wrong).

This is what is termed as media stunt because it is only on the news and no official confirmation.
If it true that apple is buying into bitcoin then it will be such a great news and that will further straighten the market and increase bitcoin price but as I said the media can be any thing so let keep our fingers cross and keep watching the situation as time goes.

As others have stated, it's simply speculation at this point.  I am amazed at how many people here and elsewhere have been saying that "apple is investing in bitcoin" as if it already happened.  Gotta love the headline readers. 

It's also not so much about Apple just buying bitcoin, but more so in my opinion is about the fact that apple has Apple Pay and adding bitcoin buying/selling/holding in to their pay system could be a massive driving catalyst for them.

My guess is apple opens up some form of a crypto wallet before they ever actually buy any.

Isn't it a catch 22?

Everyone's nan knows that BTC is digital gold and a way to 'store value'. Although for the price of BTC to get to say $100k or even more, mass adoption on a gargantuan scale would be needed. And not just being stored in the hop of becoming 'rich'.

Surly anyone who buys BTC will do so to increase their net worth as an individual or institution?

Is BTC an enemy of itself in that sense that once you have it, the last thing you want to do is start buying things with it?

I wouldn't go that far. Regardless of the bitcoin adoption from the first few public companies(MicroStrategy, Square, Tesla), a lot of ignorant people still think that bitcoin is a total scam or that it's only used by criminals or whatever old FUD they've heard on mainstream media. If most people were convinced that bitcoin was a good store of value, I'd assume we'd be a lot higher from the current price.

Never seen any validity for that news. If there are news like that comes out and it's not fully verified, don't believe it then. Take them as rumors so that you'll not going to think that they're really are accepting bitcoin or buying bitcoin as what the article you've read. Learn not to trust quickly those unverified sources. It's okay to dream of it that someday another big company will make it happen but if there's no authenticity for that news then be remain someone who does verification of any news that you read.

believe it or not even though the world looks very chaotic but there is a good balance in it too. bitcoin is also part of the world and it is also balanced. when we have FUD telling you that bitcoin is banned by this country and that country every day, there is also HYPE telling you this company or country adopted bitcoin and bought billions. they cancel each other out most of the times and bitcoin continues in the direction that it was on from the starting days.

When the news is not coming from people who are officially involved with Apple then most likely the news is just like that...rumor or speculation. And a rumor can sell more attention than real news that is why some "prestigious" media organizations can be using the strategy to sell more space and traffic. Anyway, this is a good rumor since this is sending a good message to Apple to also follow the lead started by Tesla...but we don't know if they will be biting. Let's just watch and learn. 

Right now there isn't any proof confirming the buying of bitcoin by Apple. Now Apple is with the plans of entering into the electric vehicle segment. As a beginning partnership with Hyundai is under talk, and production is planned to be started by 2024.

There isn't anything formal yet that points to that. It is in peoples' opinion that Apple will like Tesla buy BTC but as far as that goes that's speculation. It would make sense for this to happen, though, I do not know when this will happen.

It could be in the next few weeks but it could also be several years from now. What's conclusive is that large companies like Tesla will think hard about why Tesla did what they did and if and when they should follow suit.
