Title: POC still have a chance?
Post by: joseyphil82 on February 10, 2021, 05:22:45 PM
Who mine burstcoin when hdd mining was still a thing? It's like we aren't going to see any new project using proof of capacity (POC) anymore, it seems the idea behind this POC algorithm is a complete waste of time, what do you think?

The larger the hdd the better you will be able to solve shares on PoC, this just sucks because

1. Hdd working 24/7 will bring you more losses, they die easily

2. SSD and HDD will cost alot more if this PoC algorithm becomes a real deal, I'm glad I don't make the decision in the past, I always buy some HDD to mine storj which is another PoC coin

Proof of capacity algorithm is been abandoned and no new project dares use such such algorithm on their projects anymore, the proof of capacity idea is a total failure, even burst coin isn't Profitable again, no matter how many size of hdd you have it won't make a difference

There is one new project that takes on this proof of capacity algorithm, I think the project name is MASS, it has good value and it's listed on MXC exchange, I've heard it's very profitable to mine but with HDD or SDD space, if people aren't on this project yet I believe it will worth mining, I remember when burstcoin had good hype some make good profits out of this coin
