Post by: Bug_Fixer on February 14, 2021, 06:48:17 PM
Hi,

localbitcoins.com is a  scammer company that mainly scam inactive users. After doing research I found others users that got locked their account without any reason, so if you can unlock localbitcoins.com wallets contact me, my target price is $1000/account.

Unlocking lbc accounts requires help from their support and it requires kyc and other documents IMO.

No one here can help besides lbc, make a support ticket and wait untill someone answers your issue.

They dont reply. But if I create a new ticket they reply and say new ticket get closed, because there is a precious ticket. But at the verification ticket they dont reply at all, and I can not write a message in the support ticket, because its older then 7 days. I feel totally fooled.
They ask me to verify many times, and it tooks about half year to referify my account, then after I deposit 1.8 BTC they locked again, saying unauthorized login. and Dont let me to sell my BTC.
My BTC comes from a local meet up, from a nother LBC costumer. The bitcoins arrived my wallet instantly becuse its from the sellers LBC wallet.

After I want to sell it I recognized my account was in forced holiday.

Maybe somedy knows the contact details of the scammer Vlad Alimpiev, I wish I could contact him and ask him to unlock my account.

To everyone who got their locked accounts @bL4nkcode is right, no one can recover the accounts. If you pay OP, chances are, you are going to get duped. 1k USD is a lot of money and to just give it to someone on the Internet because they promised that they will get your account back is the dumbest thing that I will see so far in this forum if someone were to go for the service that OP is offering.

Warning: You just inviting scammers by creating this post. Because many scammers would PM you to help unlock your Localbitcoin account. Usually, they will try to get your account credentials from you. So, be careful if you receive such as PMs, just ask them to come on this thread and discuss publicly. Do not handover your account credentials to others for any cost.

Regarding unlock your Localbitcoin account, only an authorized person from their platform would help you. Just try to convince them via a support system. Otherwise, anyone wouldn't help you in this situation. Sorry to say, anyone shouldn't keep their funds on such an exchange. Keep your funds on a noncustodial wallet or on a hardware wallet to avoid such issues in the future.

Hi,

Your account is suspended on the grounds stated in our Terms of Service. The more detailed criteria of the suspension are confidential. Due to this you may not trade and the withdrawal of bitcoins that you have in your LocalBitcoins wallet is denied. We will lift the suspension as soon as possible once the reasons for the suspension no longer exist. We have stated all of this in our Terms of Service and you have agreed to it. Thank you for understanding.

Best regards,

It's just a warning so you don't give any sensitive details, including your OTP. There's no way anyone except Localbitcoins can unlock and allow you to withdraw your coins, so there's really no other choice except to contact them and make noise on their social media channels.

This is was LBC answered to me, sounds like they scam me without metnioning any reason:
Yea, not surprised. Honestly, these services should at least return the money if they decided you won't be able to use the platform anymore instead of holding it. Unfortunately, the status quo sucks.

But what if they delete my account if I go on social media?

This is mega fucked. They should have given a reason at the very least.

Could you brief here exactly how and when your account got blocked? Keep in mind, you need to upload your KYC information on the site to trade/withdraw. So if you haven't uploaded your KYC yet, that maybe the reason perhaps(?). I know my account is locked because of KYC.

But what if they delete my account if I go on social media?
They won't delete the account. If they do, sue them.

It is a central institution. If you do not like their services, there are many decentral alternatives that may offer a better guarantee method than this site.
I do not know the reason for closing your account, but sending 1.9 Bitcoin or 100 thousand dollars will freeze your account unless your account has been verified and it is usual for you to make such trades.
Generally, they are subject to the laws governing the European Union and have a headquarters so you can submit an application to the court if you are sure they are wrong.

I sucessfully verified 3 times already, then after a while they locked my account saying unauthorized login.
Since then I was not able to withdrawal my bitcoins anymore. And Costumer support did not reply.
They ask me to verify again, but the problem was that they did not answered, so the ticket was closed, when I started a new  ticket they asked me to verify again. I fell totally fooled. Now after 1 year they tell me that they just want to steal my BTC without any reason - as you see in the reply.

What the actual fuck?? A whole year??? That is mega fucked by LBC. Goddamn they are making me only hate them more.

I read on the thread that over 1.8 BTC is at stake here?? If its that much of an amount, I would suggest for you to consider legal counsel perhaps? You got nothing to lose anymore. If they already have your money its more or less like what else do you have to lose.

LocalBitcoins is a custodial p2p exchange therefore they have the ability to block people's funds for various reason such as Bitcoins from suspicious transactions, incompletely KYC verification etc

About a year ago, localbitcoins started blocking unverified accounts of users from certain countries, but there was an option for one to delete their account with them in order to withdraw the funds

^ That is the thing,,, I do not think Localbitcoins will just delete and confiscate bitcoins. In no world can a regulated exchange do this. The worst that happens to you if you cannot pass KYC or whatever process they put you through is to close your account, and return to you what you deposit.

But how I can proof that I have Bitcoins in my wallet?
And LBC deletes inactive accounts.
And delete account functionality is deactivated, while your account is frozen. - Another trick/scam?

For me i was not able to withdrawal my funds. You can not delete or withdrawal you funds if you are on forced holiday.
If you don't want to loose your bitcoins, I would stay away from the defraud company Localbitcoins.

Best to check with them if your account fits their inactive category. But imo I don't think it is since your account is frozen which means you are forced to be inactive and inactivity is something voluntary...

Their statement also says there's a possibility they will lift the suspension, so they will most likely keep your account.

Best regards,
LocalBitcoins

They can however terminate it and claim the bitcoins for other reason/s in case the situation changes.

As a result of limitation, suspension or termination your access to and the withdrawal of bitcoins that you have in your LocalBitcoins wallet may be delayed or denied. If there are bitcoin transactions made to the wallet addresses associated with your terminated or deleted account after the termination or the deletion, LocalBitcoins has no obligation to return the bitcoins and you agree that the bitcoins become the property of LocalBitcoins.

Note that by terminate, it doesn't mean that your account data will be wiped off their system.
