Hi,
I am not very familiar with your general topics, but some friends of me invested money at: www.defigroups.com. They offer 10-17% profit per month.
What makes me suspicious is that the pictures of the acting people of this company: Stefan Harary , Waylon Dalton were used in the past.https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4787926.msg43208432#msg43208432
The used adress: Chemin des Limites 1A, 1293 Bellevue, Switzerland just shows a closed company with the name of Defi Swiss, Odeski, Grinberg & Co. The owner of the company: Frééeric Ruiz looks more like a misspelling than a real person.
Has anyone of you any experiences with this ? The company tries at the moment to contact people in the Middle East and to attract investment from them.

This looks like an outright scam, and pretty bad one with all the classic signs:

• Promise of a high return? Check! (even though high apy is pretty much standard for almost every DeFi project)
• Making a fake team with a combination of stock and other people's photos? Check!
• Fake ranking on various ICO tracking sites like ICOBench, Foundico, ICORanker etc (you won't find Defi Gorups on those sites)? Check!
• Plagiarized whitepaper form another project (they took whitepaper from a project called Upbots (https://upbots.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/UpBots-Whitepaper.pdf)) ? Check!

Tell your friends that they unfortunately invested in scam and don't let them talk you into investing into this too as everyone who invests in this will 100% certain loose the money. There is so little effort invested in this that scammers will probably just disappear after end of the sale, they won't bother with developing thisas they don't have anything of their own.

You got it right, which means that the team is fake as well. Scammers usually do such a thing.

That address might be fake too. Your friends should first do some investigations next time before sending money to such scam projects.

Do the math, if the scheme offers 10% per month then in 1year the person investing there has doubled their money. This is theoretically not possible comparing to what the banks deposits interest can offer. Hence the more likely possibility here is that the site is being used for a scam.

The pictures used in the EthereumWhite project were stock images and therefore a scam itself. This should be clear to you already. Hence my suggestion would be to advice any known contact of yours to not invest in the above site or its schemes.

Whoever they are targeting, does not matter. Fact is that they are scamming others. Fake images, fake addresses - only a scam runs like that.
