Behold guys as we are approaching another milestone in bitcoin history. 50000$ !!! I mean common man, cheer up if you have some bitcoins, cheer up more if you are planning to buy some.
Bitcoin shows if you are truly built for people, no one can stop you.
Finally we are on the moon entire expanding universe is before us.!!

"Hip! Hip! Hurray!" to those who held their bitcoins till now but I think there are hardly any who did that because every range higher was crucial to scare any hodler to make them sell their coins to the buyers that come under 'institutional' category. Anyway let us wait and welcome for the very awaited price of btc and celebrate it with our family once it crosses over it.

It's a great feat for the bitcoin community and a win to all. I still remember the days we used to talk about when institutional investors will step in and invest into Bitcoin or when we would see a much more bigger adoption. It feels good to know that amidst the troubles bitcoin had to go through, it still came out strong at the end of the day to prove doubters wrong.   

$50K milestone is a major resistance level that would eventually be broken in the coming weeks. A lot of people are keeping an eye out for this price zone. Don't forget support and resistance are magnet zones.

Last night I am actually in a verge of selling it in around 48k to but it crash down suddenly so I decided to wait again but I saw some lines reaching new ATH at around 50k. Touching 49,700 as new ATH, it could be possible that 50k usd and strong support level showed it.
 
 Ive remembered reading  bloomberg analysts  (https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-price-could-hit-50k-in-2021-bloomberg-analysts-say%3famp=1) saying last year that bitcoin could hit $50k this 2021 and guess he made a good prediction coz we are heading it to that price level.

That move is really sudden. When bitcoin dumped hard last night all coins and altcoins are also done by more than 20% or some higher. Even my portfolio was deeply affected with this. But I'm not gonna sell at a loss, knowing that this could recover slowly. We are still on a bull season and this correction is obviously needed for a healthy market. Stay strong everyone I think market going there somehow on a bullish trend once again.

We all know that $50K won't go out in a single attempt. Its basically a very important psycholgical number just like $20K. So many people are putting orders at $50K and smart people are putting orders at $49.5K or so. And some shorters are putting stops maybe at $50.1K question is what will be the outcome.

There are basically 3 outcomes to this important level.

1) We topped at $49.7K and won't see it until 3-4 years later. Basically just like 2017 topped out at $19.5K, this is very similar since we all assumed we would at least touch $50K, the smart traders sold slightly below and will rebuy lower.

2) We break the $50K, go to like $51K and then start to reverse and start the next bear market. This basically traps both the bull and bears. Where the bears take a loss at $50K and the bulls go long at $50K and end up losing money also. There is a very good chance this might actually occur.

3) We break $50K and head to the moon. This is also possible. We broke $20K sharply and haven't even tested it once. So there is also a good chance that this might occur also.

yes its been good and pumping price for BTC now. surely it will be reaching as much as 50000$/ btc. many investors right now buying more bitcoins and holding it to another bitcoin pump, for me the main reason why people bought more bitcoin after paypal announce that they will engage more on crypto currency and possibly in paypal they will put a trading that usd can convert btc.

The market looks like it's following the 1st point and it's getting harder to go above 49.5k and stay.

The market crashed because of a FUD and the news was just nothing to worry about but the market is so fragile right now that anything can happen on any news..

I just hope that the 3rd outcome will become reality and we may see a new resistance at 75k$ or something..  ;D

That was close to $50k, but I am sure that it will break $50k soon. Right now, the bitcoin price is making a correction before it can break the next high price. So you need to decide what you want to do in this downtrend, and if you think you need to buy bitcoin, you should analyze before the price turn back to the high price. I guess the price can pass more than $50k in the next increase as we almost touch $50k yesterday, so it is better to prepare yourself for the coming. But if the price can not increase this month, you don't need to worry because sooner or later, the price will start another rally to break the next higher price.

Well it hasn't broken past it yet, I suppose traders are trying to observe and some has clearly left expecting that we won't break past $50k. I'd reckon that after breaking $50k though the market would be in quite an uproar and we'd see a bit of pump action there since half a hundred should be quite a milestone and everyone would probably reconsider if they want to jump into the bandwagon. Although it seems like the market is rejecting it right now with how it actually went down for the day, but hey, wait a week and who knows.

I agree, the bull season is not yet over and there is no point in selling out prematurely. There will always be volatility and market fluctuating up and down but this does not mean that the bull season has ended. There might still be a few weeks, maybe months left- know body can know for sure.

Upon reaching the 50k usd of the bitcoin I try to make a sell to my spot holdings and make it into the future wallets because I'm doing a day trading and there is a chance that the price of the coin today might give a good swing I always make the trade within the time of 1 to 10:00 pm UTC well I'm in the different part of the world so I need to adjust because most of the traders become active on that time. If the bitcoin price chart makes a different movement it's no surprise to me because the bitcoin is still dominating the market as you can see even the bitcoin chart giving you a hint if you are trying to check the 12 hrs chart still not going down instead holding to its pace for another reversal movement.

We're too near to reach this level unfortunately, Bitcoin failed to do so but there's nothing to worry about because this is just a pull back and I'm sure we will try to break that level soon. Bitcoin is indeed doing great early this year, this only proves that bear market is not forever and same thing with Bull market. We're still on the up trend, let's all work together and keep pushing the market up to the moon.

Of course. The crypto community is waiting to see another historic target achieved. The $50k level is important in many cases, so crossing this target would be a huge deal. Agree with you, there are a lot of sellers at this level, you have to see that they will start selling their hold bitcoin to take profit.

Those of us who have seen the last bull run know how the market reacts to this type of situation. So let's see how Bitcoin takes a strong position in the market.

We need some new tweets from market whales to pass 50k$ easily. Maybe McDonald’s wants to accept bitcoin in exchange to tasty big mac?
Anyway, I think we need some news or any other good push will do, because simply by trading and speculating it will be hard to cross 50k line. I think we are going to be on the same level as previous week - 47k +/-500 USD.

I don't think 50,000 is the limit for Bitcoin to grow. It is possible that someone thinks that we have reached this mark too quickly. Maybe it is so.
In any case, a good correction won't hurt. There would be a lot of new people entering Bitcoin for the correction right now. They would be the new fuel for growth. Now part of the liquidity will flow into altcoins. It's good. If then altcoins grow and update their peaks, then they will help bitcoin start a new round of growth.

To be honest we all the investors are very excited to see the btc to 50,000$. And we are very near of it. Soon it could be seen. :)

Now I think about the people who always Against bitcoin. What they are thinking now?  Lol
Maybe they are still Against and can not see others good things. They only think only he is the man who is more clever.

I am looking forward to see the milestones and cheer on the price as i am holding some coins and i am looking to book my profit as well and i might be selling everything i hold and wait for the correction but no way i am going to enter the market when the price is hovering around $50,000. People who like to risk might enter at this stage but i am not taking much risk and investing anything further

 

Hello, high fees too. :) I think $20,000 to $30,000 is a growth we see that has good support. From that point, everything is drove by hype especially at starting $37,000, if I'm not mistaken, where Tesla announced they bought 1.5B in bitcoin.

I'm grateful for the increase but want to see another correction as I admit I'm not considering myself to buy Bitcoin at the current price. Let's be real here for my fellow average traders.


Their idea won't be change. I mean, why? Just because Bitcoin is now on a crazy price level?

It's not with the price but those people that against Bitcoin have a mindset of investment wherein the price has fundamentals and not just for dream high price target in the future. Even at $100,000 per 1 Bitcoin, I doubt the likes of Warren Buffett will change their view towards bitcoin.

We should not be getting used to people like Elon Musk (or anyone really) to tweet in order to go up, that would be fake highs and we need something a lot more permanent in order to actually be there. For example if it needs to be Elon, I rather him (tesla or spacex) to buy more bitcoins again instead of just tweeting about it, why? Because if he buys that will cause other people to buy as well, and when he buys he buys over a billion dollars, and others do buy as well so it causes at least 2 billion dollars to actually bought and holding, which helps a lot.

Of course it is not going to be that awesome if we didn't help him, so we need to play a role and buy at the same time as well. Rich people buying bitcoin is a lot more important than rich people tweeting or saying good things about bitcoin, words do not leave any mark whereas actually buying changes a ton.

Bitcoin behavior is just like you said, at certain times to pass through a crucial price it is always blocked and has to stop several times, even as if it takes a long time but if this number has been missed then it can simultaneously reach unexpected numbers.

$ 50K has been in sight several times and stayed past but seemed unable to, but when the momentum to pass $ 50K has been obtained, then it is possible that bitcoin will immediately pass a few moments later it will pass $ 60K.
we will wait for the momentum to start to gain bitcoin, be patient for this.

I think the bull is not stopping yet because more institutional buyers are coming into the market. I just checked price of bitcoin and now at $49,148 , this means $50,000 is just about the corner. The Chinese new year couldn't draw price down, so what do you expect? It is going up daily while some expect a drop. The altcoins too are in good move, etheruem is about $1,8++. This is a great time for hodlers who had faith.

I don't believe that the Bitcoin price will face enough support at 50K,so staying at this level will be temporary.
I think that there might be a price crash back to 30K,before the price goes up to 50K USD.
The crypto whales might create some panic and force many small and medium traders to sell their BTC.
The ones who resist the panic selling will reap the benefits of a 50K USD Bitcoin price.
If we see corporations like Apple buying more BTC in the next few months,then we might be heading towards 60-70K USD.

I am waiting for the people who buried their flash drives saving bitcoin in them.  ;D
I found one thread before. Like way back 2018-19. Somehow, I don't see him yet making a thread or maybe he did and I just didn't notice it.
If I remember correctly it was 2 Bitcoin which he kept.
Now he got $100k in just 2-3 years.
Hoping he still remembers where he buried it.  ;D

Yeah, that's true many might have already been scared off but there are a few who remained in the market and now have had a nice surprise. I must say though, one surprise that didn't last or very long but at least the trend is looking good and we know that once it reached it, it will be easier to jump over to the new ATH  ;D

OK, now that we have officially crossed the 50000$ ATH, where are we heading? It seems that the rejection is going to be short, we are over 49,6K again (what a beautiful dip to buy, btw).

Congratulations for this milestone people. We are all on this boat together.

Some people prediction is that we are heading $77,000 while some asid $110,000 which I believe those price to be ridiculous and shouldn't be expected this early cause some market corrections will happen to strengthen the market which is the reason why the market experience slightly dump in price after reaching $50,000 price range.
Having said that, the market won't exceed $48K-$55K price range this month.

Only thing that makes me stay sane right now is that I am still a lot deep into crypto and making money every day but I am really holding myself barely and want to just get out as much as I can however I am too scared to do that right now fearing I will miss out on another increase or so.

I am not really rich or anything, all the money in my crypto doesn't make anything that would change anything in my entire life, it is really tiny amount honestly when you look at life (maybe 3 months worth of salary at best) but I feel like I want to get out and wait for it to drop again, and go back in after that, it sounds a lot more reasonable if I could do that. However I am too scared that it may just continue to go up without stopping for months and months, I do not know if it will ever drop, or at least when it would do that.

Finally, bitcoin reached 50K as well on Feb 16, which should be a remarkable day in the crypto history because no one ever thought that bitcoin will reach 50K from nowhere in just 12 years after its creation also reached top 10 in the total market cap of the world.Holders are enjoying the profits while the panic sellers should be regretting now because who thought that bitcoin will end in 2020 itself with the dump reaching $3000.

yes, I've read things like this in 2017. Some people have even thrown away their private keys, and when the price of the bitcoin/coins they hold goes up really high, they'll be looking for them again.

however, the current situation leaves people confused as to whether they will pretend not to see the current price and wait for the $ 100k price tag, or to find and sell the assets they own. however, I still believe very high prices can be reached at this time. although the price of bitcoin has hit the price of $ 50k several times, but for now, it looks like bitcoin price needs to try again. however, the people who still hold their bitcoins at this point already have a big advantage.

$50,341 top marks this year which is impressive in my opinion where crypto flies high.
Previously, I thought that bitcoin would not be easy to achieve this, but in crypto there is nothing that is impossible if it has become a trend.
I like to imagine me where the price of bitcoin ever hit its lowest point of $ 3000 as what you said by holding until now maybe we would have become millionaires if the holder was long.

Almost almost there but not quite yet for so long. Literally I saw on Coindesk the ATH is 49950, it's as if the guys are just pretending to be shy like with a fantastic girl on a first date;) and then now boom!

I think this is just a matter of time of course but it's more interesting to see what happens after 50k. Big psychological milestone!

It hit 50k on Binance and it's nice milestone but it doesn't mean much in general. Price will go up with institutions buying more and more. I think this is just a start and 6digits BTC is coming.

What do you think of tonight? Some TA? We will resist 48k and continue growing or would crash lower tan 48-47k?

Good thing here is that bitcoin did really able to hold up after having that rejection after reaching out that level which this is just the same when we are trying to breach out 30k level

where it didnt really dump or correct that hard and later on we did able to reach higher price later on.For now we cant still determine on when we would see neither 55k or 60k.

This isnt bad to consider on buying out in 48k because i do have some hunch that breakout would be coming soon.For those who can take risk then buying now would be
ideal.

However, it's good to see that big mental barrier of $50k has been broken, and I think this is just the beginning as I have said before. It's going to be interesting how this year will go through, $60k-$100k might be surpassed in the future. And definitely, this bull run will not end just because $50k is broken, but simply we have established that anything can happen and that the price. Sure re-tracement will happen, but we are going to push for new all time highs.

Unsure if you are a day trader because really now we have reached new heights and whether it is $45k or $55k by tomorrow we shouldn't care too much and what matters now the most is the acceptance of BTC in as many places and stores like Tesla have agreed to accept payment for their cars in BTC but there have been news from others that they won't follow the move by Tesla which is still concerning.

Talking of acceptance I think our gambling industry played the most vital role in making crypto currency as popular as it is now because although it might have promoted some illegal gambling but it helped Bitcoin get more recognized.

$50,000 could transform in a very strong support if Bitcoin can keep above the level for a while. People need to get familiar with these price points although the ones who are driving this market up are institutional investors who likely have much more experience. However psychology still applies for them. We are all humans (I think lol) so we are all susceptible to emotions. The difference is some of us learn to control them and some of us not.

Agree, and now that the barrier has been breach again, the resistance is now the strong support for bitcoin as we have surpassed it again and moves forward to $51k. Yes, psychology will still a big part for this institutions and big companies, but I doubt that they will simply dump at $50k. They are more experience and more are in the line for them, and dumping would just hurt their investments. Most likely if they are going to dump are at least make money, it could be in the $100k or more price. Some learn through experience (specially those like me who entered in 2017), but there could be beginners who will likely go on a cycle (boom and bust) to get that mental toughness.

There are a lot of factor which can make bitcoin increase and increase also in the good market sentiment. At least we have been one year in the good sentiment market and has made bitcoin price doubled from its previous all time high $20.000. Yeah, we should be grateful to see that especially for the loyal bitcoin hodlers, we have seen bitcoin price fall below $ 3500 and now we are seeing bitcoin over $ 50,000.

Mass adoption is coming, a lot of countries have decided to accept bitcoin as their payment system or even as their investment place. This is will continue and there will be many companies who will follow to accept and using bitcoin. It means, I don't think there will be a huge correction, we will not see bitcoin fall below $20.000 anyomore.

That is indeed quite an achievement and who would have thought that within 1 year will will ride from 5k to 50k because last year around the same time as now the price of bitcoins crashed and everyone was talking only negative and bad about Bitcoins even some of the long term investors. I am glad we not just recovered but now touching new milestones. Being happy doesn't mean I hold millions but I know how much this community benefits when the price is rising and they deserve every bit of this.

More than being made for people, I would literally salute the guy Satoshi or the whole team for making such a complex project because the idea, the implementation had to be flawless for it to work and it has been such.

It is just beginning. We will get another excitement from the bitcoin price, and we need to be patient. While bitcoin prices still do not move too high, we can try to profit from the altcoins market as many coins now adjust their price and move to the high price. More companies will integrate their payment system with bitcoin, making bitcoin more popular, and the adoption progress will increase. It will lift the price to the next high price, and once the price gets a good time to start the rally, the price will increase, and you better prepare yourselves with your target price.
