Bitcoin has reached $50,000, and this was already a huge success by bitcoin, but my question is, will ETH follow and reach to $2000 anytime soon?
If we based on the its movement, bitcoin has already increased more 150% more or less from its previous ATH, so if the same movement will happen to ETH, we could possible see ETH at $3000 each soon, what do you think about this possibility?

In your opinion, I think ETH will soon reach $3000 or more soon.  Many people think that ETH is too slow and the transaction fees are too high, but the problem is that Eth is too big right now and many of these things can completely differ in the future through updates.  I hope that after this growth ETH can reach between $4000 - $6000.

$2000 is possible because we are almost near to that value but $3000 or above is going to be difficult because of the scalability issue on the blockchain since people are facing transaction fee problems whenever they want to exchange their token or ethereum so only holders are going to remain while the new investors going to prefer other coins.

Maybe if from that point of view it is true that the Ethereum network has experienced a high surge and it will gradually take longer for token holders to object that the fees they pay are too high, but what I see are still many ETH holders and believe by reaching $2000 in time A close could happen if $3000 wants how the market situation is. If bitcoin is experiencing a movement then of course ETH will follow the trail of the current bullrun.
The $50k Bitcoin target has been crossed so maybe ETH could also happen.

Agree, if the issue keeps happen. I think most of developer Token/ dApps in Ethereum will start to port their project to another chain.
A move to DOT or EOS i think will worth to do and it will hurt the Ethereum price if happen.

Well, less than $200 for the ethereum to reach the $2000 market price value. Another ATH for those 2 top coins in cryptocurrency and we are hoping that altcoins will slowly follow the trend of those 2 coins.

Surprisingly, bitcoin is now $52,000.
There's that possibility but we can't expect that to happen any time soon. But I'm leaning to see $2000 but it's struggling and I don't know why it's lagging unlike BNB.

I thought the gas fee affect only the smaller income traders until if I found a billionaire complain of the high fee in his tweet. If he was a developer he could equally be worried, the high fee is likely to reduce the size of trade daily. The high gas also affect DEX trade, which seem to be the only challenge with DEX listing in this market. I dont know if adopting new blockchain will make it easier soon

It might be common that top coins do follow on bitcoins path but doesnt mean that it will guarantee to go into that way or would definitely happen.

Currently its $1800 price and its only $200 away for that price that you had mentioned which it can be attained nor reach in a short span of time if this bull run or price increase would continue.

But lets not really letting aside when it comes to risk management.Dont let yourself get too hyped nor fomo'ed because that might really be the reason on putting you
into a hard situation when price tends to go into the opposite way or direction.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I do think ETH would go a lot higher than that, possibly $4000 or more. But first, it's has to break through the $2000 resistance zone which is a pretty strong one. I'm sure that there are lots of sell orders waiting at this level. Nonetheless, it's worth noting that support and resistance levels are price magnets so I won't be too surprised if I wake up one day to see ETH above $2000. ETH would be a lot higher now if the devs have pushed updates to solve the current scalability issues.

It's hard to buy something when majority of your money goes into paying  for fees.

I think we will see that. But i think Ethereum have problem need to be solve first, like high gas fee issue, its really annoying.
Because when the price of Ethereum rising more, the fee becomes more painful.

We will see $2000 for Ethereum as long as Bitcoin will stay on sideways. From what I observed recently on the price action of Bitcoin and altcoins (especially Ethereum) is when Bitcoin dumping (even a very small amount only), altcoins started to bleed a lot too, especially Ethereum.
And when Bitcoin is rising + Bitcoin dominance increase, Ethereum is doing sideways or dump only. That's why I conclude, if Bitcoin manages to stay above $50,000 this week, Ethereum may breach $2,000.

If you look at the current movement of etherem I'm sure we will see ETH reach $ 2000 in the near future, but what I'm worried about is that gas costs will also increase, I hope the developer can solve this problem, because I think this is very annoying and could hinder the development of cryptocurrency in  future,

Again, if we go with that theory, then obviously it can be hit. But we all know that bitcoin is like in a super fast rally, while Ethereum has somewhat slowdown, but for me $2000 is more realistic now. The only big issue with Ethereum today is the high fees, that might turn off a lot of investors. If they can solved this in ETH 2.0 then we might see a big spike again.

At the time of i'm posting this ETH already reached $1900. I mean, ETH reaches $2000? that's really possible but the only thing that holding back ETH is its fee making many people reluctant to do things, for example some people wants to buy some ERC-20 tokens using ETH which definitely add demands to ETH market but reluctant to do that because the fee itself could eat up huge portion of their asset.
But, reaching $2000 and beyond is obviously inevitable.

Because OP in that thread are asking about the increase from 12 hundred dollars value of ETH and now this climbed almost 19 hundred , meaning a 700$ climb from a month .
So if this continue we will be seeing a 2000 price before the end of 1st quarter, and this is a fancy but good expectation .

Yep! We will surely gonna be seeing Ethereum over $2000 no doubt with it! It has a 80% possibility to get  that ATH before this month ends, as you can see $ETH price is currently at $1800 and still pumping so anytime soon its gonna be reaching $2000! Market cap of $ETH will surely increase as more and more are getting interested on it. Greyscale is regularly buying huge amounts of ETH so its inevitable that ETH will reach more than 2k$ mark soon. Everyone knows that after BTC the best thing you can have is Ethereum. Also, we have lots and lots of alts rooting for ETH, developments are going on steadily and the growth is real nice.

Another thing we have to notice is that institutional investors are getting into crypto, sooner or later they will see the potential of ETH and like greyscale they too will start investing in ETH. My prediction is ETH will reach 5k$ by the end of this year.

Ethereum will most probably grow as well, but in the long run I don't see it nowhere near as successful as Bitcoin is going to be.
I mean sidechains, smart contracts and implicitly DeFi platforms are starting to be built on Bitcoin as well. The need for Ethereum could be soon obsolete.

Moreover ETH does not have a limited supply which kind of removes it from the list of hedge or proof-of-value assets. Bitcoin is at a point now where many stopped considering it a speculation asset, but a tool for wealth preservation and appreciation.

I'm pretty sure ethereum is capable, maybe in the next few days we will see ethereum passing $2000. ethereum will create a new ATH, and if it has reached $ 2000 it may be the next target is 4000-5000 $. so continue to hold your Ethereum because this will be very profitable.

Ethereum has been rising faster than Bitcoin lately. This shouldn't surprise anyone because many transactions are made on Ethereum basis.
The crypto currency markets are very active and the Ethereum network has a big share in this. I think your $ 3000 estimate may come true within 3 months.

But base with the current bull run it's achievable, moving to $2K is no longer far possibilities to surpassed that and made another good
barrier might happened in a muuch shorter period of time. ETH is really moving forward and to those who continue to invest or mine this coin they are all gainers.

There is no actual limit to how high it can go because the more widely accepted it becomes the more demand there will be for it and the higher each unit of ETH will be worth. Etherum was the major currency for ICO project funding rather than Bitcoin and Defi was also based on Ethereum so most probably $2000 will be reached this year.

Yes, that is a big success for bitcoin to reach $52k, although bitcoin price now is at $51k. The price will not just stop reaching $51k-$52k, but it will still increase again in the next day. I think the price can pass $55k-$60k in the next month in this year, but there is no sign when it will happen, and we can only wait for the time to comes. Ethereum will break $2,000 and increase more than $2,500 this year as the investor will select ethereum as their second investment besides bitcoin. So congratulations to people who already sold their bitcoin at $52k and ethereum at $1,900. Hold on tight because you have more chances to sell your bitcoin and ethereum at the next ATH.

The thing is that when Bitcoin price moves up it brings along Altcoins with it and most of these big cap projects are going to benefit first, they may not increase in BTC value but will increase in USD value, so I agree with you and seems also the market agrees with you that it is just a matter of time before we hit $2000 per Ether

Ether has gotten so close to the $2k mark, that's not a problem to achieve. However, it's likely that current ETH holders already have other options that are worth holding on to long-term. Given the constraints of the Ethereum network moreover some competitors also seem to be trying to catch up with Ethereum's popularity with more efficient network offerings such as BSC. So it is very difficult for ETH to grow its value by say up to 4x like BTC.

ETH has very strong fundamentals $2k is now in the range it would happen any time soon. I'm really impress to see the current growth rate and with huge demand it moving forward really amazing. The future of ETH is really bright and under the shadow of big brother it will keep growing.

Less than $100 to go for ethereum to reach $2000 and it can happen anytime soon. Imagine the market trend of ethereum for the past few months. From $1000 and now almost $2000, another milestone for ethereum and another ATH again. This 2 top coins has already proven that they deserve that kind of rankings.

how do you know this dude? As far as i know if grayscale was increasing its bitcoin portfolios rather than ethereum. I never seen that any news that being said if grayscale was trying to increase its portfolio in ethereum form.

Yes, definitely! Bitcoin has been really pumping and from what i'm expecting Ethereum could test its all time high in next days if market stays hot. I have some and will buy more, so grab it while you can it's gonna pump.

I will also prepare money for the upcoming corrections if it is possible then buying more of these coins is perfectly reasonable for a long term investment. Given the current situation, I think the major coins in the market will always be priced earlier, and we will also have opportunities to buy them while still low.

Of course ethereum will hit $2000 easily maybe tomorrow or two but hitting to $3000 seems impossible. I guess bitcoin should increase more up to $80,000 and maybe possible ethereum will hit $3000 price but I wonder how much the gas fee will be.

Ethereum needs less than 100 bucks to make it able to reach another ATH and it can be reached anytime as per the trend that is still happening with bitcoin and it's even possible for ethereum to reach 2k rate in the next days. Anything can happen dude. Bitcoin doesn't even need to reach 80k to make ethereum can reach 3k.

Bitcoin needs to go to the 70k and it will be enough to make ethereum will be doing the same as bitcoin too. Remember ethereum needs another 50% increase to reach 3k rate. Bitcoin should have gotten such percentage too.

I think ETH 2.0 phase 1.0 should run first so gas fees are lower and ETH will be able to reach $ 3K. Before that I thought it would be difficult because many people complained about the high of gas fee.

This easy, per Binance its 24 hours high is $1952, therefore it's chance is very high to break $2000. I'm saying easy because we are so close, just like when bitcoin almost broke $50k, failed but still eventually broke it, and I guess ETH will not fail in breaking $2000, it will be broken soon.

I believe the price of Ethereum will start to rise quickly once Ethereum 2.0 is implemented. At the moment, the ETH price is very heavily blocked by the very high transaction fees, but I think it will be able to slowly exceed $2000. But for further increases we will have to wait for Ethereum 2.0.

Everytime I think ETH is on his way to price point of $2K it seems to come back down.   

It is now up 10% in the last 7 days and current price point of $1930.  Another 10% in weekly gains will take us past $2K. 

Interestingly we are not going there just yet, we have struck a cord at 1.8k and it is not going too much higher than that, sure it may eventually but it shows that we have reached to a filling point in ethereum that makes it harder to go higher.

Of course we have seen the similar at around 1400 dollar levels and we have reached to 1800 anyway, which shows us that even when Ethereum looks like it is not going to be capable enough to actually go higher, it could still prove us wrong and go higher, so I might be wrong right now once again. But we have to realize that it is going to be a bit difficult, it is going to take time, it is going to have downs before it goes up, but one day when we wake up, we will see it 2k+ price, the act itself will be quick, but the act will not come very soon, that is why we should be really be patient and just wait for it to happen.

Today, $ 2,000 for Ethereum is a psychological barrier for the entire cryptocurrency market. It is very likely that by the end of February Ethereum will reach the $ 2,000 mark, but after that there will be a very strong decline, where many Etn owners will want to fix their profits. Of course, this is not an indicator that etn will continue to fall, because all forecasts say that ethereum will grow higher, but this will really take time.

The market still bullish and its a matter of day, maybe we will be able to see ETH at $2000 level.

$2000 is highly posible to reach but $3000 is quite difficult to achieve. Ethereum will surely rise after bitcoin rise up to $50000 beause it will always follow the movement of tbe bitcoin price, but $3000 is very high maybe it will take a very long time for the eth to reach the $3000.

We've seen it go up by a lot in recent months and reach a new all time high price. There was not really a reason for this and it just seemed like it was going up because Bitcoin had been going up. $2000 seems inevitable but it is not certain because we don't see the same level of interest from corporations as we have seen in bitcoin.

Right at this moment, ETH is now on its new ATH. Since most altcoins had reached their ATH I am positive that ETH can reach about $3,000 depending on how much hype can it make on its new ATH. I guess a lot of ETH supporters had been waiting to see ETH above $2k, so I guess it will go through. I honestly like Ethereum's platform, the only problem I can see is its fee which makes it not practical for microtransactions.

Ethereum price is now according to CoinMarketCap. is $ 2033 and this is definitely a new price record for this coin. However, we understand that its current achievements look very modest compared to the price of bitcoin, which has already exceeded the price of $ 55,000. ethereum has already reached 2000$. and the next target is 3000-4000$. the market is still in a bull trend and the market situation is very good this month, no bad news has hit the crypto market. so I believe this new target can be achieved in the near future. but on the one hand we are disappointed because ethereum transactions are very expensive. if this increase could be in line with cheap gas fees, it might also have an impact on all ERC20 tokens.

That is the reason why ethereum moved from 1.8k levels to 1.9k while BNB moved from 40 dollars to 200 dollars levels. I am super glad that I have moved some of my bitcoins to BNB, I wish I moved my ethereum to BNB as well but I just wanted to hold ETH in case they figured out a way to solve the gas fee situation, they haven't found anything so far but I hope they will one day.

Eventually BNB may pass ethereum one day, market cap looks very tiny but if the price moves to 2k dollars per BNB it may actually pass and I think it could be close to that soon as well, not right now but this spring there is a chance for something like that to happen. People are making millions of dollars profit in BSC right now and I doubt they have any reason to leave neither. So while people wait for eth to become 2k, I will be waiting for BNB to move beyond 1k at the same time.

ETH has already passed the $2000 price and the new targets are $3000 or $3500. The new price discovery by bull traders will happen soon and the market makers will filter the bears from the trend. The shorts will get rekt, the bloody short orders will cause a huge pump on the next wave of the bull trend, IMO. The price is not high because you look at the lower timeframes, change the timeframe of the chart and you guys will see the difference.

A few hours ago ethereum price already hit $2k and that is something to be expected, seeing bitcoin's price continue to rise. But yes, this price cannot be maintained for much longer but at least with this achievement it is a proof that Ethereum which gets a lot of resistance in fact still gets a significant pump. This is a successful achievement and if there is still a rise in it then ethereum and other cryptos are likely to become crypto assets, so it will be a difficult choice if we have to use them as currencies.

what more when eth release their berlin fork this coming april? though many people are complaining everyday because of its gas fees, and yet they are hitting their new ATH. this shows that people are trusting eth network to deliver their promises here. watching if there will be major improvement in terms of gas fees once they deployed this fork.
this should be inspiration also for eth developers to do their best as the community is giving them solid support despite of their flaws

ETH has always made better and no doubt every Ethereum holders are happy as always. l think ETH keeps getting up, that is why BTC is still growing. If BTC will keep price increasing, no exaggeration to say that ETH will follow this movement. ETH deserves more than 2k and l think ETH will reach the newest ATH in the near future. This coin will not stay at this price.

We're approaching towards $2k, there's a potential outbreak that could initiate this year, but not totally specific because value tends to fluctuate once it spoke high. That depends also with bitcoin's uptrend, and as progress continue to move and changes remains unstable by now eth also increase amazingly.
All possibilities would really gives us more exciting scenario, so don't you ever miss every chances while eth was just starting to bloom so big.

Ethereum has been disappointing in this market and I don't want to believe is as a result of the high gas fee. The development through the tokenomics and massive use case. We have waited for institutions acquisition and no public claim by the bitcoin investors.

Seeing the price of most coins increasing drastically are a rare moment. Eth and bitcoin are unstoppable at this point and we cant predict when will the correction going to happen. When it comes to eth, the only problem is the high gas fee so the if the price increase further expect the fees to increase as well and thats the problem that affect us specially the average investors/traders.

Honestly, I don't think the bull run would last for a year, or there's no correction goin to happen and if you are right that there's a bull run until the end of the year, I think $3500 is jut a very small amount to achieve, probably Ethereum will be trading at $10,000 than time and bitcoin will be a $100,000 or even $200,000, the rate of growth is just too fast.

Honesrly I'm not a huge eth fan, but when pricing in usd why not.  What if bitcoij goes to $100k then 3k won't seem so crazy right.  Inversely if bitcoin dips back down to 30k then 3k seems crazy right?  When dealing with alts its better to ask in terms of sats rather than usd since usd pricing depends on bitcoin price movement.

ETh overcame the new ATH right in this trend.  I have a lot of confidence in ETh this year as the ethereum 2.0 upgrade has entered the final stage of clinical trials. 
In the threshold of price support from this bitcoin dynamics, stretching and holding hard until the time of ETH 2.0's launch will probably be at the large threshold of 3k-5k $.

Hopefully after eth 2.0 launch, transaction fee could also be corrected because other small asset can't move towards exchanges due to that issues. Though most holders enjoyed the peak price that we meet this year, but other traders also need to make a living. Corrections is expected before next ATH, and this time is perfect for other people who still plans to invest.

we all hope so sir. hope the transaction costs can be cheaper. I hope that after the launch of ETH 2.0 it can happen. perhaps with lower transaction costs many new retail investors will emerge.

They are promising they'll launch it but until now it's still not fully launch, people are still suffering from high transaction fee, bitcoin and ETH both have high transaction fee actually and this is not good for the real adoption, it's the hype and the FOMO is what making the market more bullish.

Base on the current price, I think ethereum will not take too long to reach $2,000. A big chance for ethereum to break that price this month, but if the market conditions are not moves as yesterday, it seems it is not easy for ethereum to break that price. Maybe that will happen in the next month since we are almost at the end of this month. But the fact is ethereum still have many chances to break on that higher price, and even the price is a delay to increase, ethereum can break it in the next months.

Ethereum has already reach $2000, and bitcoin is trading at $53000 now, I guess I'm gonna lock the thread now.
