There was another thread put up with information pertaining to these two coins and whether doing a group buy would save us all a little bit of coin and keep everyone from having to KYC - I am a public entity ie registered LLC so don't really care about KYC at all - so would be willing to add the orders of anyone else interested in either coin to my own and then either reship them or send them to minerjones for him to add to any other orders he may be holding. Obviously, as one has a discount based on the quantity of coins ordered and the other seemingly has a fixed shipping cost regardless of quantity - I would not be able to have a dead set price until we actually place the order - what I can say is this, it will be cheaper than placing your own order.

I didn't have to do any KYC to order these with APMEX. Purchased as a guest, I'm confused. Do certain states/countries require KYC for this?

Hey mate, are these coins limited or maybe even backed by BTC itself?

when I said KYC I was more referring to those that dont want to even enter their name and addresses in sites like this because sites store customer information. Even when you check out as "guest".


I don't see anything about limited quantities on either site and these are not loaded coins. Purely commemorative coins from what I see.
I am simply ordering for myself and offering to combine orders so that it might be possible for everyone to have a reduced cost.

While it's not the best design I've ever seen, I've certainly seen worse.  I am interested in grabbing one ( and maybe I'll get lucky and win that competition they are having on Instagram, though I highly doubt it).  Thanks for setting this up/ putting this in motion Mopar! I bought 2 APMEX before this thread was started, but I paused from buying 2 from Coininvest because the shipping was going to be $42 for two coins. Doing this together saves in shipping if nothing else.

Curious - Do we have to pay in Bitcoin or can we pay you in a stable coin instead? Is there a sales tax for you that would add an additional cost to these ?

I will accept any major coin - if there is a specific one, let me know - If I have a wallet for it, I will accept it.

when I go to order, whatever the total ends up being with coin cost, tax and shipping will simply be divided by number of coins and then each person pays that value x the amount of coins they requested. I obviously do not want to front everyone's order for an extended time so it would be nice if everyone was ready to pay on Saturday.

What's the sales tax rate for you? Trying to see how much this would actually save me if I join this group buy instead.

when I go thru the order all the way up to paying - it applies zero tax and zero shipping cost. at current order amount of 58 coins, the total is $1,933.14 or 33.33 per coin.

I should be able to take USDT (I have a USDT omni, a USDT ERC20 and a USDT TRC20 wallets) - as for the shipping internationally, I can do the shipping or we can work with minerjones and if you have other orders with him, could get them combined.

however, without having the item in hand and the address I am sending to, I cannot accurately give a price for the international shipping. I could charge a flat rate - most my international shipments go to minerjones to reship but for the ones I do - where they dont want to go to middleman - it averages between 15-20 USD and that is with a poker chip set of 5 chips.

was just dm'd that a buyer will buy the difference between our total and 100 so that we will be at that tier in pricing at least.

Now for a fun story. So, I had collected enough funds to complete one of the two purchases, so I tried Coininvest first - now, I do not have a conventional bank - I use the cash app checking account - it has a visa debit card should be no issue right?

So, it denied first for suspicious activity, so I tried again and it denied for "insufficient funds" though I had over 200 worth of dirty fiat above the purchase price... so I tried a third time and it again denied for suspicious activity - so I tried my wives chase visa - denied for suspicious. Soooo, I will be in contact with cashapp tomorrow to see if I can push it thru. The other option is to do a swift transfer - trying to avoid that if possible but either way these will get ordered tomorrow.

So, I moved on and did the APMEX order - went thru without a hitch.

To make a long story short, or better yet, the moral of the story is FUCK FIAT

seriously... can you collect nearly 4k in fiat in a few hours from around the world, consolidate and make a single multi-thousand dollar purchase?

fuck no. they all want you to wait 3-4 days to process - then hit a few snags with denying several legitimate purchases as "suspicious" (forget that in the past 12 months you probably had 2-3 actual fraudulent charges that they missed stopping)

and my friends ask me why I try to never have FIAT.... they are brainwashed into thinking that is acceptable I guess.

what we can do is this, if there is enough interest to do another group buy especially for the coininvest coin, I can start another one after these come in. That will save on shipping for sure as one coin has like $40 in shipping when doing a single order.

BTW, I received the Coinvest coins, or also known as the Niue coin. Have to say I was not familiar with Country of Niue. Had to look it up on a map and it is, as we would say in the USA South, in the 'Boonies'; it's out there. Would like to visit though, very tropical. If I do ever go, I will not spend my Coinvest coin there even though it would be accepted as legal tender.

Niue is notorious for contracting out their “rights” to allow coin makers to make coins that are legal tender. Cook Islands is another one that does this a lot. So there are now at least 4-5 bitcoin coins that are legal tender out there..maybe even more at this point.
