This is big news for eth. I can see the effect on eth price. It's now above $1900.
In coming days, we will see eth at $2500

Great news. Finally I’m not missing opportunity to earn something extra, as I have few ether coins exactly on Coinbase account. After reading an article, I could not find one thing - can I leave staking program at any time, or I will have to wait till period ends (ie 30-60-90 days)? Can anyone point me an answer on that?

Are you from the US? make sure that you're from there because it's only for those residents except for two states which have been mentioned on the staking page.
Binance has a better APY but do you think it's worth locking your ETH there for at least two years?

AFAIK, there's a longer locked in period. Read the link given above for Coinbas ETH staking.

This is not the first time they are allowing you to earn stakes by holding the coins, as per coinbase initially you cannot move the coins you have staked but they will be allowing users to trade the coins at a later stage and sure there will be a minimum locking period but they have not clearly mentioned about that as they said they will finalize that and will publish it soon.

NO, I'm from "We are always working to bring our services to all our users." :D Hope I will also get a chance to get some extra just for holding.

I know about Binance staking, dont want to lock ETH for two years. That is why Coinbase staking would be a better choice for me. Havent found in the article any info related locking (or I could have been reading it not attentively / English is not my first language), that is why I asked about period. If there is really no such limitation, then Coinbase Ethereum staking suits me perfectly.

Indeed it is.

But I think that Ether will rise only if they find a way to down fees to substantial levels. Otherwise, Binance Chain will eat up Ether in DeFi and Ether will lose some value.

You can try.  :)

Yeah, that would suit you. I don't even like to get into a two years of holding so that I'll be free if ever I'll get to sell my ETH whenever I want to if the price is right. And if you're not from the US then you have to wait.

What regions are eligible for ETH staking?
Currently the US (excluding New York and Hawaii residents) is eligible to join the ETH staking waitlist. We'll send a notification when the feature becomes available in more regions.
