I'm happy for you if you have successfully sold your coins at a large profit and return. You deserve that if you've held for a long time. That's the strategy these days that, whenever you see the coins you hold in bad state, you don't have to sell it if you trust and believe on it. Just keep it and hold for more months or years or at long time depending how long you can endure the pain looking at the value of your coin. But once it starts to pump, it's worth the wait. Although this don't happen for most coins.

Good for you but doesnt mean that it would always be ending up in things that you had anticipated.It just it turns out that the market did really go on what had expected
and that a bit mix of luck with that one.

Patience for those who wait but not all scenarios would be like this because there are instances where waiting too much do really end up on missing out the opportunity.

Congrats mate to your fruitful reward after how many years of patiently and strongly waiting. Well, when we first heard "holding" it seems to be very easy to do because you just need to hold and wait for your coins to pump but the hard part of it is maximizing, optimizing and saving your resources while you are holding because if your resources are gone, slowly your holdings will suffer and will force you to withdraw all of it because of the necessary needs. You surpassed all of those circumstances.

When you do able to endure those pumps and dumps in the market then thats already a recognizable thing to be seen on someone whom do able to held his coins after all  the years.
Its not simple as it sounds as if you would need to resist all of  those temptations on selling on no matter what the price you are looking at but i agree on some points above
that patience would only fit out into those worthy coins because sometimes holding up too much will really be the cause for you to miss out on securing profits just like
what been told above which i do fully agree.

You are a very lucky person. The Ripple coin reputation is going down but bullrun pushed the price. That's the reason we don't suggest any other coins to invest without research. Take profit from Ripple altcoins but don't miss this bullrun. After the third quarter this year could be the perfect time to make a safe profit. Only a few months more do you know "patience is the key".

Patience is not key; taking profits is; The blockchain does not care if you are patient or have emotions; its a buy and sell thing; the important lessons you ignored where the mistakes you made that had you wait 4-5 years to take profit; You should not repeat that no more. Xrp has traded as high as 0.55$, did you take profit? or you are waiting for 1$? If you don;t take profit in crypto currency under the disguise of patience; profits will be taken from you

Since the OP is holding alts, he should also keep himself up to date with the happenings on those alts, as it may drop its price or worst, will be gone to circulation. You'll never know the fate of the project as sometimes it depends on the owners of the platform. If they dump their coins, it means they are about to abandon the project, unless, they have other plans for the coin. So don't trust too much about these alts. I prefer holding bitcoin for long-term. But with alts, you need to be vigilant with their developments.

Patience should be based on your target price and don’t just wait, wait wisely. There’s a lot of impatience people that missed important details sometimes, and lose the chance to make bigger profit because they didn’t analyze the market in the first place. Anyway, the golden rule here is to always make profit, so if you do sold early that’s fine at least you make money.

Exactly OP, patience does pay off as it was expected and will still give is much better returns against the btc pair. But about today's game and moves by BTC, I simply tested it and there's just one thing I can say and that's "wow". I mean, insane buying power took place when BTC started to recover and get back to where it was.

  Every project I invested in, or Campaign I participated in turned out to be a dud. Alot of ERC-20 tokens I had that were just holding in my wallet apparently needed to be token swapped. Bullshit, I kept them in my wallet cold storage thinking they were safe, unfortunately not from projects requiring limited-time only token swaps.
  Please, If your reading this and have ERC- based tokens, remember to practice your due diligence and keep updated on every single project pertaining to the coins and tokens you own!
  Opportunity is swift, this must be why they say "the early bird always gets his worm". Why don't proverbs ever make sense before it is too late, instead though, only after you learned hard lessons?

Patience always pays if the person has strong psychology and experience on the markets. The impatient people will lose everything back to the market one day and for avoiding the big losses the traders have to prepare themselves for the long-term market movement. It is nice to see some traders have made a nice profit on the last bull market and they share profit on social media.

Just to share you about my story regarding patience, I learned it the hard way as I wasted the opportunity of earning a significant amount of BTCs when I failed to HODL them.

Last 2018 when I joined this forum and as a college student, I was a young and naive boy who just wanted to take earn money in order to buy some superficial things. Every time I receive my BTCs which came from campaign signatures, I would withdraw those BTCs and convert it to fiat via our local exchange. I did that until the last quarter of 2020. I was scrolling and checking my blockchain history when I saw that the total number of BTCs I gained ever since 2018 was 0.5 BTCs (around $27,000 now). If I just saved those BTCs, I could have bought my father the car that he wanted for so long since I owe my success to him.

That's right, everyone. HODL your BTCs and be patient! You will never know as the sky is the limit when it comes to its price!

wow very rarely do people hold patience until a period of 4-5 years. you really have been tested hard bro, I don't think there is someone like this. But it is true and it is there today if anyone can hold for more than 3 years. extraordinary

That's so good dude, i remember what cz saying to the crypto users and if you will never be patient and then you will never be rich. I have been holding a lot of my assets since last year and i got very big profit from the market too. Sometimes people should at least put some money to buy the legit coins as their long-term investment.
A diversification strategy is a must in this case.

I felt guilty about this (the bolded letters) because sometimes I really in a hurry, I wanted to make my money doubled instantly but that was before since I realize that was a big mistake and that certainly impossible.
if we wanted to reach our goal, it really a matter of how we work on it and it surely takes time before we finally reached it. Just like winning in the Olympic game, we need to practice more, should be more than enough to give an advantage over the other contestant otherwise, you will just a loser.

Patience is the key because, basically, BTC only USES the concept of buying ata low price and then resells it ata high price, when we wait for the price to go up, that's when we need patience. or basically waiting for the right time to sell it and buy it. and I think patience is not just about selling or buying in some real aspect of life One key to success in a person with great patience is to be resilient to all the problems we face so my advice is to make ourselves patient with the issues that come into our lives it certainly forms strong, resilient character

Most of the time patience is really the key if you certainly know the potential of the coin you are holding with. But there are also times that patience is not being worth it for there are sorts of coins that are worthy to be sold earlier before they loose their value for they have not future worth and the factor affecting it is the project on which it came from. So you still better be picky on the coins you are holding with and the long wait and lots of patience will be worth it once you have attained your goal and the time you have waited have been paid off with the outcome you are wanting have been made to reality.

Not all situation patience is the optimal way to achieve our dreams sometimes we need to change our direction, but yes there are a certain situations like what have experience,  but we need to remember not all times is good to wait,  sometimes we need to conduct our own study if there are possibilities that we can earn if we wait for so long.

Digital coins has its unpredictable price, but if we saw the market situation is good and there are positive things happened always, possible every day or every month, so we can concluded that it is better to wait until the market reach our target price and in that situation we succeed in our goals to make more profit by just simple holding and wait.

What Shizu said was true, because I also proved it before the words were posted by CZ on her twitter, I got some very satisfying benefits from Cardano, Doge, and Tron, well why can it be satisfying, because in two years ago the three Altcoins were still very cheap.

But it's not about being patience after all. What if those coins you hold still struggles for 10 years? Patience is being wasted on that case.

i also have a same experience like you, but i only hold them like 2 years, and i earn quite a lot of money from it.

Dude, CZ's said is only applicable for the legit coin that has active development and good result. There are numerous factors that are also affecting the result from your holding just like your position, rate when enter the market, development, marketing and so many things.
I personally will try to buy altcoin and hodl it based on the situation that is happening in the market and when i got profit and i will leave from the market to search another potential project to use it as my new investment.
I guess cz's said is also related to the binance coin.

You are one of the people who actually wait too long to get your money a hundredfold from your investment now you earn both money and respect. Some people from your era might already give up just a few months ago after they want to try a long investment which they think won't work. But you proved them wrong and here you are telling your stories to us and you've just proved that patience and perseverance really pay off if you are really sincere about your goals. The thing is, there are lots of people who think this kind of strategy doesn't really work because of the volatility of the price but as I said you need to have a goal first before running into some action.

Emotional patience is the key, does not matter whether you are in crypto or other markets. Cryptocurrencies have many dips along to the top. If you sell in a small dip then you do not get used to those dips. You should invest in cryptocurrencies which you believe that will worth a lot in the future. Not in pump and dump scenarios. If you invest in once to those pnds then you get suspicious of every crypto that may be the pnd. Find yourself a really good futuristic crypto and invest in it.

In the world of cryptocurrency and even any investment, it's not always to exercise patience. There is always the fear you are making a stupid mistake, especially when the market is dumping.
Though I feel you could have hodl onto more, there is more to gain in the future. But it's your decision  to make though.

The emotion is also playing an important thing in holding your portfolios dude. Imagine when he was impatient and he might have sold all of his coin too early. That's why some people were saying when you can hodl your coin and could be a winner but this doesn't mean you will be automatically be a winner.
When your portfolis already gave you a lot of profit and then it's up to you whether you wanna release your porto to the market or not.

I hear you and congratulations on your profits but i do want to suggest though that even when we say patience is Key, that don't work for all crypto investment or projects because you need to know if the project you are investing in is something that can be held for long as in, Is this project established? have they proven themself in the crypto space? I will only hodl such kind of projects that I don't only strongly believe is worth the HODL but is reputable/made their mark in the crypto ecosystem.

It's great if you have good patience to hold your coins for years, to those who always buy on low and wait for years until new ATH reach will surely wins. Holding that much I'm believe it's hard if there's some emergency case so like or not we should use our investment to solve that case.

Hold altcoins on long time, taking a lot of patience and emotional intelligence. Psychological pressure was very hardship to control during the market dip and dip due to the pandemic. But I still believe there will be the light at the end of the tunnel.

Or maybe he just forgot that he has some coins and he just thought to just open it and he see's that he just made a good profit from 2 years investment and it's all worth it just like me i just forgot that i have ethereum from one exchange website and i just opened a mail that i need to sign in my account well somehow if you really into investment and you have that lots of patience that you can really hold your coin with seeing them everything and it increases or decreases everyday you will have attempt to sell them once you made up some profit but you really did well from holding for that long.

???  Taking profit is the end product of having patience.  I don't know what you are trying to portray here but I found your reply a bit non-sense trying to oppose OP's proven fact that his key in taking profit is patience.  OP had learned his lesson when he missed the bull run of 2017 but persevere and take patience than selling his holdings at a loss.  Thus, if he lacks patience then he wouldn't take profit in this current bull run.

You need your time management as well in trading, like in my day trading experience it was rough because I was into selling actually and earning cause people think that day trading is an easy profit since you're actively trading like buying and selling constantly within the day.

I think not only patience but also luck is the key to success. Because a lot can happen in cryptocurrency in a period of 4-5 years. You must choose the right coin to hold. Otherwise you may lose all your coins.

Both patience and luck can work perfectly, especially if the market can rise again after it was down a few days ago. After you can sell your coins at a high peak, you can wait for a while and see if the price can get down or drops too deep, so you will get the best time to buy back and hold your coin. The altcoin will drop after reaching the high price following the bitcoin price. So if that time comes, you will get the best time to buy back altcoin besides buying bitcoin. Our patience will give a reward, especially for people waiting for a long time to sell their coins.

Most of these dead coins went to me as payment for the work done in the bounty in 2017. Almost all of these coins have already been abandoned by the developers and there will be no positive movements on them. The funny thing is, there is really no other option as well if you want to make money and some people prefer losing money over waiting. That is the real trouble with the market, I remember back in 2017, some people got bitcoin at nearly 20k price, and when it reached to 10k they sold it, and I have zero clue why they did that.

Sure there could be few people who needed the money for life emergency that was unexpected, that always happens, I had to sell some coins in those situations as well and it was bad, but I really do not get that why would anyone be fine with losing 50% and just moving on? Waiting and eventually profiting is the only way to get out of loss, you could also buy more and more from lower levels so that you could make a profit easier and quicker, but selling will never be the solution yet some people still do it without any logical reason.

Its nice to hear such an inspiring and a successful selling of cryptocurrency. Of course the one who have a patience and look for a positivity of a coin that they are holding and will going to sell always have the possibility to harvest a good and prosperous basket of fruits. There is no such formula that need to be followed to become a successful trader but patience will always a virtue. For me, there is no need to be always in hurry when it comes to selling our crypto coin not unless you're in total need and need to sell that coin right away, but if not, better to stay it in you hard wallet while waiting for a amount that you think enough for you.

With regards to digital money, persistence is in fact the key. Indeed the significance of tolerance can't be overemphasized. I've heard a decent amount of Bitcoin and ethereum before, however sold out. I just wished, I showed restraint to have held it till now. The profits would have been magnificent.
